On a Saturday evening in Shinjuku, all the izakayas were full and I wandered around for 20 minutes until I luckily found an empty seat and joined a drinking party. The all-you-can-drink for 100 minutes at 1,600 yen was very reasonable! The food portions were small, but they were excellent as drinking snacks, and grilling them on the shichirin (charcoal grill) was fun. The ventilation was a bit weak, but it added to the charm. Drinking and eating for only 4,000 yen per person is cheap!

I went to this bustling restaurant in Shinjuku! I was really hungry so I opted for the all-you-can-eat option. I also added the all-you-can-drink option where sour drinks come out of the tap. The meat was pretty good for an all-you-can-eat place! The pork tongue was big and tasty. It's a good place for an occasional visit. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant started at 20:30. When I asked if I could enter around 20:00, it happened to have availability at this time. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a good vibe from the female staff. I opted for the all-you-can-eat option for 4400 yen, which included beef tongue and Japanese black beef. By registering on LINE, I got a free soft drink. Orders were placed using an iPad-like device. However, I could only order up to 4 plates at a time, so I had to place continuous orders. The Japanese black beef I had initially expected was not as I had imagined, more like thinly sliced pieces with a barbecue-like taste. After that, the dishes I ordered did not arrive, which was different from the all-you-can-eat concept. Nevertheless, the young female staff were working hard. Eventually, the beef tongue with green onions arrived, which was three servings. I realized that the regular serving size was small, so I ordered more generously from then on. The special beef, lean meat, marinated ribs, and seasoned ribs were particularly good. The bibimbap was average, and the egg on rice was served with room-temperature egg and barbecue sauce. The Korean seaweed was served in a bag, and the cold noodles were average. The pickled radish was too soft and soaked, while the pickled cabbage was tastier. The marinated ribs and special beef that came towards the end looked appealing. Dessert for the day was vanilla ice cream. Overall, the quality of the meat was average, and I felt satisfied after visiting once. It would have been appreciated if more dishes were served quickly within the time frame. After the closing time, I ordered noodles and Comtang soup for the finale. I stayed until a little past 22:00. I regretted overeating on the way home, as usual... ===========

There is a restaurant similar to Tokiwa-tei with a server on the table, where you can drink as much as you want within a time limit. I always make sure to visit restaurants that serve table lemon sours. You don't have to worry about ordering, and in just 2 hours, you can drink 7-8 glasses, so... I'm starting to think about writing a review of table lemon sour restaurants these days. This restaurant is closer to the Seibu Shinjuku Line rather than Shinjuku West Exit. Since I went early, there were empty seats. (It was full by the time I left before 6 pm.) Grilling hormone while drinking lemon sour... it's great, isn't it? The bill was just under 4000 yen for 2 hormones and a 2-hour stay. With 7 glasses per person and hormones included, this is cheap. It was cost-effective. The hormone was also reasonably delicious. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

They are not serving alcohol at the moment. The quality of the meat is average with nothing particularly outstanding, but the negi salt was delicious. The portion size is a bit small, but considering the price, it's decent. It would be nice to have more variety in side dishes as it can get a bit monotonous. The staff were polite and made the dining experience pleasant. They accept cashless payment, which is convenient.

We tried the easy and affordable yakiniku all-you-can-eat and drink course for 90 minutes at 3,550 yen! It is located just a short walk from Shinjuku West Exit. We arrived around 6 pm on a Saturday night and the place was packed! Reservations are a must! The first surprise was the faucet on the table...? It's the "Instant Sour Tower"! You can choose your favorite syrup and pour your own sour to make your own drink. It was a new experience where you can drink the amount you want when you want. My favorite syrup was the "Awaji Island Navel Orange" with lots of fruit juice. The specialty wagyu beef marinated in sauce includes kata shank, zabuton, triangle belly, and brisket trimmings! The shapes may be different, but the taste is definitely there! The meat marinated in sauce is grilled on charcoal, making a sizzling sound. Grilling over charcoal adds a delicious smoky flavor to the meat. The level of this meat being included in the all-you-can-eat menu is amazing! They also offer a variety of side dishes. The hormone assortment and creamy egg rice set is a must-order item! They offer fresh domestic hormones sourced from Shibaura, cutting out middlemen to provide affordable and fresh hormones. The plump hormones on top of rice with a warm egg and Korean seaweed is delicious! You can enjoy a wide range of meats from black beef to fresh hormones. The extensive side menu is also a plus!

I found a great restaurant where you can grill your own meat at the table. They start you off with a charcoal grill, which feels nice and warm. They offer a "tare mori" option where you can adjust the amount of sauce for each gram of meat you order, which is great for when you want to eat a lot. A restaurant located just across the intersection from the west exit of Shinjuku Station. It's almost a monthly tradition to meet up with friends here. The name "25-89" seems to be the registration number of a vendor at the Shibaura Market, which indicates that they specialize in fresh Wagyu beef directly from Shibaura. We reserved a course with drinks included. The appetizers were namul and kimchi, followed by the rare dish yukhoe, thickly sliced tongue with salt, and a platter of 5 different cuts of Wagyu beef including some rare cuts. The grilled shabu-shabu was served with a sauce containing raw egg yolk. We also had japchae, steamed clay pot rice, and sherbet for dessert. We enjoyed our drinks which included draft beer, sweet potato shochu, and chilled sake. Unfortunately, due to COVID precautions, the restaurant was not very busy on the day of our visit, but it was a relief to avoid crowded spaces. Safety first.

After work, I met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while. We toasted with a lemon highball and enjoyed a selection of premium Japanese beef - Katashin, Sangobara, Zabuton, Brisket, and a mix of peppers. They were all delicious, but the standout was the Sangobara, so tender and flavorful. I also had a Maker's highball and some specially selected roast beef shabu-shabu, a classic favorite of mine. We couldn't resist ordering some homemade avocado shrimp jeon to go with our barbecue. Surprisingly, the combination worked really well. I even thought about trying to make it at home. The freshly cooked rice in a clay pot, using Yamagata's Tsuyahime rice, was a delightful treat. They cook it after you order, so you get to enjoy it piping hot. Despite not usually eating much rice with barbecue, I couldn't resist indulging in this freshly cooked rice. The ventilation was good, and they seemed to have solid COVID-19 precautions in place. I definitely plan on stopping by again after work.

I went to this restaurant because my usual yakiniku place was fully booked and I was craving for some grilled meat. To be honest, I felt that the taste was not worth the price, so I probably won't come back. Today, I went to a highly competitive yakiniku restaurant. It seems like it used to be an izakaya, the interior design gives that vibe. The space is not too cramped, which is nice. The highlight of today's meal was the rice cooked in a clay pot! I usually don't eat rice with yakiniku, but today I made an exception. First, the meat. We ordered all the different cuts of wagyu beef. It was served in four slices per portion, which was perfect for our group of four. Surprisingly, the brisket, which I thought had too much fat, was the most delicious. Of course, the horumon (offal) was also great. Even the liver was tasty. And the rice was truly delicious. We decided to have our year-end party in Shinjuku this time! We visited Nikusen Monya, a restaurant known for its charcoal-grilled Japanese beef and freshly cooked clay pot rice. The reason why the prices are reasonable is because they directly purchase from Shibaura, bypassing the wholesale dealers, so you can enjoy affordable and fresh Japanese beef. Charcoal-grilled meat on a shichirin grill just tastes different, right?! It becomes juicy. The drinks selection is extensive with beer, highball, shochu, wine, plum wine, and more. Tonight, we ordered the following: 3 types of appetizers, green onion beef tongue, domestic brand chicken and pork kalbi, wrapped vegetables, butcher's beef croquette, vegetable chapchae, three types of Japanese beef, hell hot pot or cold noodles, seasonal dessert. The appetizers included kimchi, bean sprouts, and green vegetable namul. The kimchi had just the right amount of sourness. The green onion beef tongue was thick and juicy with excellent saltiness. I went to a very cost-effective yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy authentic yakiniku using a shichirin grill. I ordered a la carte instead of a course, and during happy hour, I was able to enjoy draft beer and lemon sour for only 190 yen each. Not only was it cheap, but the taste of the meat was authentic, and I could try various cuts in small portions. The rice was freshly cooked brand rice, shiny and really delicious. The side menu was also very tasty, especially the butter garlic which had a tempting aroma that enhanced the meat and rice. The comtan kuppak that I ordered as a finale was so delicious that I finished it quickly even though I was already full. The soup had a very mild flavor, making it a perfect ending. Even though we ordered as much as we wanted, the total bill for two people was just over 10,000 yen. The cost performance is so good that I would definitely go back if there was a restaurant nearby! It's a place I would like to visit again.

It's difficult to use charcoal at home, so I think it tastes even better over charcoal. The freshly cooked rice that takes 30 minutes to cook in a kettle, using Yamagata's Tsuyahime rice, was truly outstanding! The shiny rice was so delicious. I always want to have tasty white rice when eating grilled meat, so it was perfect! During Happy Hour (until 7 pm), beer, sours, and chu-hi drinks are only 190 yen, which was surprisingly cheap and made me happy. The restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere, but it recently underwent a renewal and even changed its name, so it looked clean and fresh.
