◼︎The atmosphere of the restaurant was stylish and calm, making it a comfortable place to be. ◼︎Food and impressions・Sake with plum from Sendou: The plum aroma was subtle and refreshing.・Sashimi platter: Delicious! The fish seemed fresh. The skin of the sea bream (lightly seared) was fragrant. It was lighter than the red seabream. The yellowtail had a good amount of fat and was slightly sweet.・Grilled platter of Kochi vegetables: Tomato, pumpkin, eggplant, purple sweet potato, and shishito pepper. The colorful presentation was enjoyable to look at. The tomato was juicy and sweet when grilled! The purple sweet potato had a nice aroma.・Deep-fried eel: It was recommended by the staff as something unusual. It was so delicious! The sweet and savory marinade it was soaked in was excellent! Also, the lemon acidity was a great harmony. I didn't know eel could be this tasty... It had a gentle and chewy texture, not what you would expect from a gangster of the sea. ◼︎Recommended points: I thought it was nice that there were many dishes priced between 500-590 yen each, making it affordable and enjoyable! There were also many types of sake to choose from, making it hard to decide. Thank you for the delicious food! It was a feast.

I received a ticket to see fireflies at the Sky Building, so I decided to pass the time by visiting a nearby izakaya. It turned out to be a great choice! This izakaya offers delicious sake from Kochi and the sashimi is amazing. The fish is directly delivered from the fishing port. The seared sea bream was incredibly sweet and delicious! The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly.

I tried looking for lunch around the area of Shin-Umeda City, which is popular among foreign tourists. I found "Kagayaki Kitchen" and had the "Kagayaki Lunch" for 900 yen. The sashimi was indeed delicious. I couldn't help but notice how tasty the "Mixed Duck Breast Salad Set" for 850 yen that the person next to me ordered looked.

The sashimi and tempura set with fish and vegetables directly delivered from Kochi, Sukumo looks delicious! The combination of sashimi and tempura is luxurious. The tempura is crispy and delicious, freshly fried. The sashimi is fresh and tasty, with a good amount of fat. The rice goes down so easily, you'll want a second helping for sure!

I made a reservation for a course with all-you-can-drink on a weekday night. It cost 5,000 yen including tax. The bonito sashimi at this restaurant is of a high quality. The deep-fried moray eel is also incredibly delicious. The overall portion size is sufficient. There are only two types of sake for the all-you-can-drink option, but they are quite good. It's a great place in the Umeda area of Osaka where you can enjoy Tosa cuisine at a reasonable price. It tends to be crowded even on weekdays, so it's better to make a reservation before visiting.

Located right near Umeda Sky Building, this was my first visit to Kagayaki Kitchen for lunch. Although it's very close to my office, I never had the chance to go until now, so I'm really looking forward to it. The lunchtime rush had the restaurant almost completely full, but luckily we were seated right away at the only available table. As a first-timer at Kagayaki Kitchen, I ordered the top item on the menu, the Sukumo direct delivery sashimi and tempura chicken set for 900 yen. My companion A chose the Salt Koji-marinated Karaage Chicken set with Shimanto chicken for 850 yen, while companion B went for the vegetable-packed Shimanto chicken salad set for 850 yen. When they mentioned that you could get a large portion of rice, I couldn't resist and ended up ordering it. Kagayaki Kitchen focuses on ingredients and dishes from Kochi Prefecture, and I'm curious to try their Katsuo tataki set next time if they have it. It made me want to come back for dinner sometime as well.

I finally went to the restaurant near my workplace that I had been curious about for a while for lunch. I originally wanted to try the bonito dish served at night, but I decided to try the lunch menu as well. I ordered the pork steak, while my companion ordered the hamburger. There were 5 or 6 different sauces to choose from, and after much deliberation, we both ended up choosing the original sauce of the restaurant. The pork steak was served promptly and I was impressed to see that it was already cut into pieces! In Osaka, many restaurants serve pork steak that you have to cut yourself using a knife and fork, but here they had already done it for us. Additionally, the pork steak was thick and delicious, and the original sauce, poached egg, and rice on the hot plate all complemented each other perfectly with their rich flavors. I was so satisfied that I even ordered an extra large portion of rice.

Today, it's lunchtime near the Osaka Sky Building. However, there are not many restaurants around here. In addition to the Sky Building, there are various companies and vocational schools, so it would be nice to have more restaurants. In the midst of this, I found this restaurant, "Kagayaki Kitchen." The stylish interior can be seen from the outside. It has a vibe that could turn into a bar at night. I entered the restaurant and was seated at a two-person table near the entrance. The lunch menu seemed to consist of either "Hamburg Steak" or "Tonkatsu" as the daily special for the day. I ordered the "Hamburg Steak" and after a short wait, rice and soup were served followed by the Hamburg Steak on a hot plate. It came with potatoes and a sunny-side-up egg as sides. The Hamburg Steak looked delicious! But for some reason, something seemed off. The sunny-side-up egg side was still transparent and uncooked. Yes, the hot plate wasn't heated. However, the main Hamburg Steak was properly cooked and tasted good, although it was a bit underdone. It's a shame about the hot plate! Was it forgotten or were they too busy? In the end, they lifted the hot plate and placed the egg on top of the rice, making it into an egg rice dish. (bitter smile)

On this day, I went to see the German-style tree at Sky Building. Feeling hungry, I decided to try the yakitori diner that I had been curious about for a while! I wanted to have bonito salt tataki, but unfortunately, the place was fully booked. However, the staff recommended a second branch nearby with almost the same menu, so I decided to check it out. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere and seemed to be popular among women. I tried the bonito as planned, as well as sashimi of mackerel, grilled vegetables, stir-fried eggplant with meat, and even tried the deep-fried sea eel which I used to be hesitant about. The bonito was satisfying as expected! The sea eel was delicious too. The deep-fried dish looked unassuming, so it was easy to eat (laughs). They also had sake, and overall, it felt like a stylish izakaya, which was nice. It's a shame that they close a bit early, so I won't be able to go after climbing. Thank you for the meal. I would like to try the diner next time (*'ω'*)

The hamburger lunch set had a solid and satisfying hamburger, making it feel like I ate much more than it looked. The free option for extra rice was great too. I definitely want to go back again.

Visit date and time: September 22, 2017, 11:30 Located behind Umeda Sky Building, "Kagayaki Kitchen" is the second branch of the popular "Kagayaki Diner," known for its delicious seafood bowls. I had high expectations for this place. I ordered the "Roast Beef Bowl." Their lunch menu seems to focus on meat dishes. It was a satisfying dish. - Food/Taste: 3.5 The "Roast Beef Bowl" featured tender and moist roast beef with a refreshing sauce. Although the slices were on the smaller side, there was plenty on the plate, and the addition of the half-cooked egg for flavor variation was nice. Personally, I really enjoyed the taste. - Service: 3.3 The staff members were friendly and provided good service. When some rice grains scattered in the broth towards the end of eating the roast beef bowl, the fork came in handy. (It would be even more helpful if they had spoons or curved forks for easier eating.) - Atmosphere: 3.3 The interior has a trendy bar-like vibe targeted towards young people. It is spacious, and the counter seats are comfortable with a higher back and a step for resting your feet. - Cost Performance: 3.3 The "Roast Beef Bowl" costs 780 yen. A large serving is available for 900 yen, and it comes with a cup of soup. For set menu items, you can have unlimited refills of white rice. - Drinks: Not specified It seems that they serve dishes from Kochi Prefecture at night. Delicious food is delicious! That's why Tsurube seems to have a high likability. Is it just my imagination? So, on this day, I decided to go to Umeda area for some delicious food with a small gathering. I had previously visited a place called Kagari Diner and was impressed by the delicious flavors, so I decided to call them and introduce this place to my friends. I decided to visit the restaurant. The restaurant is located along the road just west of the Sky Building. Despite not being very familiar with this area near Umeda, it was quite lively for a weekday. The atmosphere of the restaurant was bright and welcoming. We were seated at a table in the back. The menu featured various dishes highlighting the flavors of Kochi, such as grilled duck breast, grilled Kochi vegetables, assorted appetizers, shrimp ajillo, seared bonito with salt, chicken liver walnut pate, carpaccio assortment, pork ragu oil pasta, quattro formaggi, and fried potatoes with sweet chili sauce. The standout dish was definitely the seared bonito with salt, which was absolutely delicious. The other dishes were good as well, but nothing compared to the bonito. The duck breast was tender, the grilled Kochi vegetables were colorful, and the assorted appetizers were packed with vegetables. The shrimp ajillo had a perfect size, and the chicken liver walnut pate was moist and flavorful. The carpaccio assortment featured bonito, tuna, and mackerel, with the mackerel being a personal favorite. The pork ragu pasta was flavorful, and the quattro formaggi was a great value at 680 yen. Overall, I would say that just going for the bonito dish alone is worth it.
