I arrived at the restaurant around 3:00 PM, well past lunchtime. Despite that, there was still a 10-minute wait due to its popularity. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere with a calm interior. I really like the traditional Japanese room style. The staff were very polite and their responses were impressive. This time, I ordered the "Tempura Soba Set". The soba noodles were made from high-quality flour and the tempura included 2 prawns, shiitake mushrooms, long hot peppers, all of which were excellent. Additionally, the pickled herring rice was generous in portion. All of this for only 2300 yen felt like a great deal. The soba noodles had a good texture and a pleasant aroma. It's recommended to savor the soba slowly rather than eating it all at once to fully appreciate its delicious flavor. The tempura was crispy and tasted even better with the soba salt. Surprisingly, the pickled herring rice was delicious as well! The seasoning was rich, and the rice had a chewy texture that was delightful. Lastly, I had some soba broth. A ratio of 1:2 with soy sauce and hot water is recommended. Overall, it was a delightful meal! Thank you and I will definitely visit again soon!

This is the Tempura Set Meal for 2,100 yen. The soba noodles had a firm texture and a light fragrance, while the tempura included shrimp, bell pepper, and eggplant, making it a perfect combination. The rice with simmered herring was exquisite. The hot soba water at the end was thick and flavorful, yet gentle like porridge. Despite the long line, the masterful seating arrangement allowed us to wait for about 30 minutes.

◆Juwari Soba for 1,180 yen
This Juwari Soba has a strong and firm texture that bursts with each bite! If you eat it with salt before dipping it in the soba sauce, you can taste the aroma of the buckwheat flour directly. The aroma itself is not overpowering, and it doesn't have an exceptional smoothness, but it is very easy to eat because it is not too strong in flavor. Most of all, being able to eat while enjoying the view of the Togetsukyo Bridge in front of you is exceptional. We had to wait for about an hour as we couldn't make a lunch reservation. If you plan to visit on a holiday, I recommend signing up early. The staff's service is polite and efficient. It was also impressive to see them fluently assisting foreign customers in English.

This is a soba restaurant located near Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama. I went for lunch on a holiday and had to wait for about 20 minutes to get in. It's conveniently located right after crossing Togetsukyo Bridge, so it's perfect to visit during sightseeing. The soba was delicious. The yuba was also tasty! The Kujo negi (green onions) were delicious too! The tempura bowl was also delicious! It was a good restaurant where you could feel the essence of Kyoto.

I arrived 45 minutes before the opening and got the best seat by the window. I ordered the 10/10 soba noodles in a large portion, and they were delicious with a great aroma whether with salt or dipping sauce. The tempura was also tasty, but the soba noodles were the highlight.

A few years ago, when I visited Arashiyama for the first time as a tourist, I was looking for a restaurant where I could see Togetsukyo Bridge and I found this place! Last time I visited, I was seated on the second floor and enjoyed soba while looking at Togetsukyo Bridge! Since you can't make reservations at this restaurant, I went to the restaurant a little before lunchtime and wrote my name down. They told me there were 15 groups ahead of me. The wait was about 20 minutes, so I took a short walk around and returned to the restaurant 20 minutes later. I was called in shortly after waiting a bit. I was impressed by how quickly the restaurant turned over tables! This time, I was taken to a separate building next door that I thought was a different restaurant. I couldn't see Togetsukyo Bridge, but the building had a nice view of the garden from the window. I ordered my favorite Duck Nanban Soba and Yuba Rice set! Both were very delicious!!! There was a lot of duck in the dish, and I was so full that I didn't need the rice! When I visit Arashiyama again, I definitely want to come back here! Thank you for the meal!

When I visited Arashiyama for sightseeing, I went to the wonderful soba restaurant "Yoshimura". The location was amazing, with a view of the Togetsukyo Bridge and other sights while dining, which was truly impressive. I ordered the duck soba and tempura bowl, and the taste exceeded my expectations! The rich broth and chewy soba in the duck soba were exquisite, and the tempura was crispy and juicy. The heartwarming service was also charming, and I had a pleasant time. It was a lovely memory with my friends. I highly recommend "Yoshimura" to those who want to eat delicious soba in Arashiyama.

Located a 3-minute walk from Arashiyama Station on the Randen Arashiyama Line in Kyoto. I had the tororo soba and chirimenjako rice. The calm atmosphere allows you to relax, making it a good choice for those visiting Arashiyama. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with a beautiful view. It was popular among foreign tourists, and even near closing time, it was still packed with customers. The restaurant overlooks the Togetsukyo Bridge. The soba was delicious, but I wish they had more variety in their set menu options.

Arashiyama has many delicious restaurants, but if you're unsure, this one is a good choice. There is always a wait, so I recommend making a reservation before exploring Arashiyama. It would be helpful if they could give you an estimated time. The restaurant is always busy, but you can relax while enjoying a delicious meal with a view of the Oi River. ✨

I arrived at the restaurant about 15 minutes before opening on a holiday. There was already a line formed, and the staff was taking names for the waitlist. When I gave my name, I was told it would be a 2-hour wait, which surprised me. However, since I was in Arashiyama, I decided to take a walk and visit a cafe, and the time passed quickly. It was nice that I could go elsewhere while waiting for my turn without having to stay in line. When I returned to the restaurant 2 hours later and was called in, I decided to just order a single dish of soba without a set meal because I wanted to try more food. The dish arrived with two large prawns and grated daikon, which was perfect for a hot day. The soba was smooth and had a firm texture, making it a refreshing and delicious meal. The tempura was crispy, and the prawns were juicy and delicious all the way to the tail. The Ebi Tenzaru Soba cost 1480 yen.

Kyoto is truly hot. I was seated at the counter on the second floor, which offered an amazing view. Enjoying some delicious soba noodles while looking out at the cool breeze and watching tourists walking across the Togetsukyo Bridge, I felt a sense of luxury. I couldn't resist ordering some sweets as well, but I believe just the soba noodles alone would have been enjoyable. It was a Friday, so it's best to line up 30 minutes before opening.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is not exactly relaxed, but considering the price, being able to enjoy a meal while looking at the wonderful view makes it worth it. I ordered the 100% buckwheat soba noodles and seasonal tempura, and they were delicious (I believe they mentioned that the soba flour is from Hokkaido). By the way, over 80% of the customers were foreigners conversing with the staff in English, but it didn't feel noisy at all.

Had lunch in Arashiyama. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was a group waiting in line, but we were told that they could seat us right away as a party of two, which was lucky. We were seated at the counter with a view of Togetsukyo Bridge, which was delightful. After some deliberation, I ordered the Togetsu Zen set, while my wife ordered the Tempura Zen set. The Togetsu Zen set included zaru soba, bukkake soba, and tempura rice bowl, which was perfect as it had everything I wanted to eat at a soba restaurant. The soba dipping sauce was meant to be used for both the zaru and bukkake soba. I started by pouring the grated radish over the bukkake soba and eating it with yuba, then slurping up the zaru soba with wasabi and green onions. The soba dipping sauce was refreshing and delicious. The soba broth at the end was also very tasty. The tempura rice bowl, especially the shrimp tempura, was delicious and satisfying. The pickles were unexpectedly tasty as well. Overall, it was a wonderful meal.

I arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 on a weekday and it was crowded with tourists from overseas. I had to wait for an hour, but the tofu restaurant staff let me in. The place was spacious and cozy with a hot carpet. I ordered Kyoto vegetable soba and it arrived in less than 3 minutes, which was amazing. The soba noodles were thin and easy to eat, with a strong flavor. The soba tea was delicious and warmed up my cold body. The dessert, sonoka roll, had a strong soba flavor and the texture of the dough was firm, which I personally liked.

I found a soba restaurant in Arashiyama, Kyoto. It is located along the Katsura River, where you can enjoy your meal while looking at the Togetsukyo Bridge. It was cold, so I ordered warm soba with anago tempura soba and duck nanban soba. The anago tempura was crispy with large pieces of anago and shiso leaves, giving a refreshing taste. The duck nanban soba had duck meat, negi, and tsukune in the soup, and you could taste the delicious flavor of duck. Moreover, the soba itself was delicious as it was hand-made.

Arashiyama Yoshimura in Kyoto is a super popular soba restaurant! One of the best things about it is that you can enjoy your soba while looking out at Togetsukyo Bridge from the window-side seats! The menu includes tempura soba, tempura assortment, soba rice with dried soba seeds, and a variety of pickles! It's a very popular restaurant, so you may have to wait in line, but the staff will tell you to come back in 60 minutes, allowing you to go sightseeing in the meantime! Therefore, it's recommended to stop by the restaurant to put your name down and then go sightseeing!

I waited for 1 hour and 50 minutes for lunch on a regular day, and the food was delicious and made me laugh, but if I had known I would have to wait this long, I might have gone to another restaurant. It was my first time trying herring soba! I liked the tempura soba better because the broth was sweeter! I wonder why there was such a long line?

It was delicious! Among all the soba noodles I've had, these were slightly thicker and the tastiest. The tempura was crispy and freshly fried, served with rice, kombu seaweed, and pickles. The kombu seaweed here was surprisingly delicious, I usually only eat one piece but I finished it all!

I visited the restaurant on a Monday at 12 pm after checking the reviews on Tabelog. There was a line outside, so I gave my name and the number of people to the staff and waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. The turnover seemed to be quite fast as the list on the staff's table was full. I ordered the Watsukizenzai for ¥2,000, which had a slightly smaller portion of rice than usual. You can also order from the menu of the tofu restaurant Matsumura on the same premises. The taste, atmosphere, and service were all excellent! Thank you for the meal.
