This is the main restaurant of the day. I made a reservation for 5:30 pm and visited after resting at the hotel to reset a bit after a day of eating and drinking. I arrived at the restaurant within 10 minutes of the reservation time. I was seated at the end of the counter, as is often the case when making reservations at these types of restaurants. Orders were placed using a tablet. I started with a draft beer ordered directly, then all subsequent orders were placed through the tablet. In the end, I had a 120-minute all-you-can-drink course with appetizers (chicken and burdock, mentaiko dashimaki tamago, half grilled hokke fish, and aosa seaweed potato salad). The total cost was 4488 yen, which was not too expensive. For drinks, I had a bottle of beer (small size Super Dry), 1 cup of sake, 1 cup of shochu with soda (made from rice), and 2 cups of shochu on the rocks (made from barley). I also received oolong tea as a chaser. As for the appetizers, the grilled hokke fish had a good amount for a half portion, but it may have been slightly overcooked. The mentaiko dashimaki tamago could have had a bit more mentaiko flavor. The aosa seaweed potato salad lacked the aosa flavor but had pickled radish (which had a smoked smell, possibly smoked daikon) that was not to my liking. Despite that, I managed to finish everything while enjoying my drinks. I was unable to finish all the drinks within the 120 minutes and left the restaurant after about 80 minutes, feeling reasonably full. Overall, it was not bad, the restaurant was popular with many customers, and I was able to enjoy a variety of seafood dishes. Thank you for the meal.

There were many types of fish available. Tuna seemed to be their specialty, with assorted tuna dishes like lean, medium fatty, and toro, as well as individual options, making it easy to choose. The bite-sized abalone was delicious. The grilled turban shell was large and pre-cut, making it easy to eat. For the finale, I had individual sushi pieces and a bowl of clam ramen. The ramen had a whole clam inside, shell removed for easy eating. There was a variety of alcohol available, and it was good value for the money.

I tried various types of fish at this restaurant for the first time! I had sushi, shishamo, shrimp tempura, potato salad, sesame mackerel, squid, and shumai. I also enjoyed two types of Japanese sake and a lemon sour cocktail. The taste was generally average. The menu offers a variety of options. The restaurant is conveniently located near the station, but it closes early.

I visited the Sakana Ichiba market in front of Hakata Station. The highlight here is the fresh squid sashimi. When it arrives, the squid is still transparent and moving. You can really feel how fresh it is. The squid has a nice texture and tastes delicious when you eat it.

The abalone liver was grilled. The medium fatty abalone was delicious as usual. I was expecting something even more delicious since it's called "fish market". Also, when I arrived late, they were mostly out of ingredients. It can't be helped. The fourth picture is the appetizer.

I made a reservation for Sunday at 7:00 PM. I was able to make the reservation about 3 hours before. Unfortunately, they didn't have any squid that day, but the sashimi and everything else was delicious and satisfying. The photo is of sesame mackerel. It's really delicious, isn't it?

I visited Sakana Ichiba at JR Hakata Station Chikushi Exit in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. This shop always offers fresh squid, and on this day, they served squid sashimi. It was just prepared, so the squid was still moving and transparent. They also made tempura out of the remaining parts, which was delicious. I will definitely visit again! ^_^

I ate sesame mackerel, squid, and shrimp. The sesame mackerel tasted different at each store, which was nice. The flavor here is on the strong side. There were various sizes of squid available. I ended up getting it fried. I had a light meal, so I didn't order too much. There are many menu options, and everything was delicious!

Established in 2010 with its headquarters in Kumamoto, Ten Toku Corporation operates 25 stores across northern Kyushu, from Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, and Oita to Yamaguchi and Hiroshima. The company, which traces its roots back to the dining business of the department store Hisaya, which operated the family restaurant "Gruppe" about 40 years ago, manages the "Sakana Ichiba" izakaya where you can enjoy delicious Kyushu cuisine such as "live squid," "horse sashimi," "spicy lotus root," and "sea bream tea pickles" at a reasonable price. Located under the elevated walkway, this restaurant offers counter seats surrounding the central kitchen, as well as table seats and sunken kotatsu seats. There is also a spacious tatami area where up to 60 people can gather, catering to various needs from solo diners to large groups. During lunchtime, you can enjoy set meals with tempura or sushi, seafood bowls, salted mackerel, and chicken tempura. Despite being tempted by the sushi and tempura set meal and sea bream rice porridge, the "Squid and grated yam bowl" caught my eye, and I decided to try it. The rice topped with plenty of grated yam and diced squid was not as generous as expected, and lacked sweetness. Although I was told to enjoy it as it is seasoned with "grated yam," the dish was bland and lacked depth. I added wasabi for some extra flavor, which helped enhance the overall taste. While it wasn't bad, considering the price, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed as it didn't meet my expectations.

When you order live spear squid, they prepare it fresh and serve it in a transparent state. The price is based on the weight, with options for 150g, 200g, or 300g. After enjoying the sashimi, they can prepare the remaining tentacles and fins as tempura or grilled. We also had a deluxe 12-piece sushi platter, which was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I used the Kyushu Enjoyment Course for a meal with a friend who came from Tokyo. The course included 【Appetizer】Seasonal small dish 【Live】Live squid sashimi 【Hakata】Motsunabe (Tripe hot pot) 【Hakata】Mentaiko Tamagoyaki (Spicy cod roe omelette) 【Kumamoto】Spicy lotus root 【Kagoshima】Satsuma Age (Fried fish cake) 【Fried dish】Squid tempura 【Charcoal grill】Grilled chicken skewers 【Finale】Champon noodle soup. I forgot to take a photo, but the seasonal small dish was "Okra". Each dish was a specialty of Kyushu, and the portion was quite filling with a reasonable price of 3,000 yen per person. It's rare to find a place where you can eat both live squid and motsunabe at this price. The taste was delicious, and I regret not trying this place sooner, as I had been hesitant due to it being a chain restaurant. My friend was also very pleased, and I would like to visit again in the future.

I visited a famous restaurant near the station two days in a row. It was a place filled with memories that I had visited in the past and I absolutely wanted to visit even when traveling alone. Although the grilled shabu-shabu that used to be on the menu was no longer available, they kindly made it for me upon request. It was delicious! The next day, I went again and there was a tuna cutting show, so tuna became the recommended dish and of course I tried it. The quality of the food is amazing considering how close it is to the station!

I entered the restaurant around 12 o'clock without a reservation. The atmosphere was calm, with middle-aged men in suits having lunch. It took a while for the server to come to take our order, which was a bit disappointing. I ordered the Sesame Mackerel Set Meal (1200 yen)! It took a bit of time, but when the food arrived, it was amazing!!! The sesame mackerel was delicious, but personally, the tempura was the best. The tempura with shiso leaf, shrimp, leeks, sweet potato, etc. was really delicious ☺️

Near Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station, there is an izakaya. The interior is actually much larger than it appears from the outside. I was tempted by the lunch menu set "Negitoro Donburi + Tempura", but I ended up choosing the Hiroshima oyster fry because it was specified as Hiroshima-produced. The oyster fry set costs 900 yen and comes with 5 pieces of oyster fry. The oysters are not very large, but since there are 5 pieces, it's just the right amount in terms of volume. I wish they served tartar sauce instead of mayonnaise. The quality of the rice is average, and I think they mentioned that you can get a refill. The meal also includes tofu, miso soup, and self-service coffee as a bonus. It was a casual choice to go for the oyster fry, but since it's a seafood restaurant, the "red snapper head soup" might have been a good option as well. (^0^;)

I went for a business trip lunch in Hakata. I wanted to eat something light as I had been eating heavy meals for days, so I decided to look for a seafood restaurant and ended up here. The restaurant is located right in front of Yodobashi in the Hakata Station Chikushi Exit direction. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 and was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered the Seafood Bowl [Deluxe] for \1,500, which is a bit expensive for lunch, but I decided to splurge. The bowl was filled with shrimp, tuna, squid, salmon, crab meat, sea urchin, salmon roe, egg, and more. It was a rich variety of seafood and the portion was generous, allowing me to fully enjoy the seafood.

The course includes a hot pot and costs 4500 yen, with a decent amount of food including fried items, so it's quite enjoyable. However, ordering drinks by entering a four-digit number is a bit of a hassle as you have to look at the menu to input the number each time. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant around 11:45 am before the lunchtime rush. I ordered the "Daily Special Set Meal" for 700 yen, tax included. Today's special was "Cold Shabu Shabu." The meal came with hot coffee, and I could get a free extra serving of rice. The photo shows a regular serving of rice. The pork shabu shabu was served with grated radish and ponzu sauce. The vegetable salad had a sesame dressing on it. Although the sesame dressing would probably taste great on the shabu shabu, it was not provided on the counter or table. The "Seafood Bowl Set Meal Limited to 5 Meals" for 700 yen that I had last time was not on the menu. I wonder if they no longer offer it? It's a shame because it was delicious and had good value. They do offer a "Seafood Bowl" for 900 yen and 1,400 yen for the larger size. I have updated my rating. They now have a new specialty dish called the "Squid Bowl" for 900 yen on the menu. It is described as a bowl of squid sashimi and grated yam with dashi poured over it. I might try that next time.

During the middle of summer vacation, I took my eldest child to eat seafood bowls. We arrived right at 11 o'clock, just as the staff was raising the curtain, and entered the store at the same time. Since they had just opened, it was just my son and I in the store, and it was quiet. We ordered two regular seafood bowls for 900 yen each. They were brought to us in about 7 minutes. The thick rolled omelette, salmon, white fish, salmon roe, and more were piled high and very fresh. The fish was firm and the sweet soy sauce served on the side was delicious. My child was also completely focused on eating. The staff were polite and nice.

I returned by Shinkansen from Kagoshima and visited this restaurant without any prior information. It was just after opening at 11:30 am. They had a limited special of Seafood Bowl Set for 700 yen including tax. The dish sold out quickly, by 11:40 am. The Seafood Bowl included tuna, salmon, shrimp, and salmon roe on a bed of rice, with fresh toppings like shiso leaves, shredded seaweed, and ginger. It was served with miso soup and pickles. The rice was warm, not vinegared. They provided yuzu ponzu sauce instead of soy sauce, which paired well with wasabi and ginger. It was a surprising deal to get such a delicious seafood bowl set with miso soup for only 700 yen at Hakata Station building. It's no wonder it sells out quickly. I was lucky to try it this time, as they only offer 5 sets.
