Having dinner at Dotonbori. There are so many popular restaurants along Dotonbori Street that it's hard to choose. However, I stumbled upon "Katsudai" while walking along the riverside street by Dotonbori. They have terrace seating where you can enjoy your meal while overlooking Dotonbori. The canal may not be very clean (laughs), but the atmosphere is great. Since it was not crowded, we decided to eat here! We ordered the "Kuidaore Katsudai Set 11 pieces for 1,680 yen". The set included: - 2 pieces of kushikatsu... basic "beef cutlet". - Hormone... no smell, fresh texture. - Harami... basic "beef cutlet". It's offal but has a meaty taste. - Fugu... I was surprised, but it tasted like ordinary white fish. - Large shrimp... big shrimp with a satisfying texture. - Bakudan... boiled egg. Interesting. - Onion... classic vegetable kushikatsu. Goes well with breadcrumbs and sauce. - Pickled ginger... spicy, can't eat it all at once, but good as a side dish. Tasty. - Takoyaki... if takoyaki was turned into kushikatsu, this is what it would be like. - Cheese... delicious, but too refined? I prefer cheese with a stronger flavor. Enjoying kushikatsu with a drink while watching the sunset over Dotonbori is the epitome of "Osaka sightseeing", isn't it? By the way, the restroom is at the end of the bridge, a public restroom, quite decent (laughs). I would love to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

When I saw the Glico sign in Osaka, I suddenly felt like eating kushikatsu. Eating kushikatsu while drinking beer is the best! Recommended combinations are: 1. Kushikatsu (with sauce) 2. Asparagus (with salt) 3. Shrimp (with salt) 4. Chicken tenderloin (with sauce) 5. Shiitake mushroom (with herb salt). The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite charming. Please try it out sometime!

The restaurant was empty at noon on weekdays at 12 o'clock. It was hard to tell if it was open because the plastic entrance was closed. There was only one staff member, so I was worried about the taste. Even though it was cold outside with snow falling, the food was delicious. The dotenabe was my favorite, with a sweet white miso flavor, and the kushikatsu had a crispy coating. The hot sake was generously poured. I started with a set of kushikatsu and then ordered more. My favorite ingredients here are shrimp and mozzarella cheese. The shrimp was rare and delicious, and the mozzarella cheese stretched out beautifully. Everything was delicious! I will definitely go back again and make sure to stay warm next time.

Located along the Dotonbori River, this restaurant is run by one chef who manages the menu alone. It seems to have a similar menu to Kushikatsu Kozue, are they part of the same group? When I visited, it was relaxed and the chef interacted with customers, creating a homely atmosphere. I ordered the Doteyaki and Dotonbori Set. The Doteyaki was tender and delicious, with a great seasoning. I also ordered a set of 10 skewers. The chef explained how to eat each one and there were various condiments available. The crispy and light batter type was my favorite. The sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but still tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, as I didn't have high expectations. If it gets crowded, it might be tough to get a seat, but overall, it was a great dining experience.

Located on the first floor along the river in Dotonbori, this kushikatsu restaurant may be a bit hard to find for first-timers. The kushikatsu has a crispy coating and tastes delicious, you can eat as many skewers as you want. I ordered okonomiyaki from the menu, but it turned out to be frozen and deep-fried! I thought it was a mistake, but when I took a bite, I was surprised to find that it was surprisingly delicious, with a fluffy texture from the yam. I had a satisfying meal with drinks, and left with a full stomach. Thank you for the meal.

I went to this restaurant with terrace seating to avoid getting too crowded inside. The open atmosphere is not bad. However, after trying various dishes, none of them were particularly delicious. Especially the kushikatsu was nothing compared to Yaesho. The sauce was particularly bad. A kushikatsu restaurant with bad sauce is a fatal flaw. But it was good to catch up with everyone and have a chat after a long time. Well, in the end, we stayed for 7 hours so it can't be helped, but spending 10,000 yen per person is too expensive. (But Nogoshi covered my share. Nogoshi, thank you as always.)

I lined up at a famous restaurant and decided to go in. I was planning to hop around different places, so I ordered a set of 5 skewers and a beer. I was a bit hesitant since it was omakase, but it turned out great with a variety of fish included. For just 1,000 yen, I'm satisfied. I wish they had this in Tokyo too! ( ´ ▽ ` )
