A while ago, I saw on social media that a new friend I recently made was eating a curry with a variety of toppings at Jaran Shokudo near the company, and it looked incredibly delicious. I had been thinking of trying it out if I had the chance, so when I finished work early the other day and Jaran Shokudo was still open, I hurried over there. I parked at the nearby coin parking lot and walked up to the front of the store. The Iidani Building, which used to be a residence, has now been renovated into a tenant building with each room refurbished. I climbed the stairs to the second floor and made my way to the back, already greeted by the smell of curry which was irresistible. Upon entering through the open door, I found a long restaurant with only a counter. The friendly female owner welcomed me. Since it was close to closing time and there were no other guests, I was able to place an order. I had been wanting to try the "full-loaded extra-large" curry, so I ordered that. While the owner was contemplating how to top it off, I sat at a table on the balcony, enjoying the view and watching the local cats. The full-loaded curry arrived! The visual was quite shocking, with boiled eggs, beef cheeks, and cheese inside the curry. On top of the rice was an omelet, followed by croquettes, hand-molded hamburgers, and side dishes of fried chicken, fried squid, and fried shrimp. I was unsure where to start, but I began with the curry, omelet, and rice combination. The beef curry here is beef curry, not too sweet or spicy, but with a nice level of spiciness and strong umami flavor, making it an ideal curry for me, a lover of Japanese curry rice. It was so delicious that I could eat it every day. The beef cheeks were so tender that they could be cut with a spoon. The hamburger had a slight cinnamon flavor and was juicy. The croquette was crispy and fluffy. The omelet was fluffy. The fried chicken was crispy. The fried squid and shrimp were crispy as well. The cheese inside the curry did a great job. The boiled eggs were just plain eggs, which served as a nice break between bites. I mixed the ingredients with the curry and enjoyed it so much that I ran out of sauce. The owner kindly added more sauce, allowing me to enjoy it until the end. I dug in and was completely satisfied! I didn't check the amount of rice, but I felt like it was over 450g. I finished with an iced coffee. I was extremely satisfied (*^-^*) Most shockingly, the price for this curry was only 1,500 yen! If you were to order a similar dish at a well-known chain, it would cost over 2,500 yen, so the cost performance here is amazing (*^-^*) Even with the coffee, it was only 1,700 yen, which is too cheap. By the way, during lunchtime, you can get a salad and coffee for an additional 100 yen, making it 1,600 yen with the salad and coffee. Lunchtime is usually crowded, so ordering the full-loaded dish might be a bit awkward... I had been wanting to try it for a while, so I'm glad I could. I was very satisfied (*^-^*) Thank you for the meal <m(_ _)m> #JalanShokudo #CurrySpecialtyRestaurant #Curry #CurryRice #FullLoaded #ExtraLarge #IcedCoffee #LunchtimeDeal #AdjacentCoinParking #IidaniBuilding #Garso #RamenLoverGarso #DeliciousBeefCheeks #CrispyFriedFood #GreatCostPerformance
