The beef curry with wagyu cheek meat and hamburger topping was delicious, but I felt that the wagyu cheek meat was smaller than I expected. Although it was very tender and tasty, I wish it had more substance. I'm glad I added the hamburger topping.

The fluffy and creamy om cheese curry with a runny egg is really good. Despite being called om (omelette), the rice inside is white rice. Nevertheless, it is delicious with the classic combination of egg and cheese. The restaurant has a popular atmosphere among women. I've also seen people adding hamburger toppings, which seems like a good idea.

I ordered Keema Curry. I was told it was like Taco Rice because it had shredded cabbage on top. However, the curry was not the usual dry Keema, but had minced meat-like curry ingredients. The cabbage helped balance the flavors, making it somewhat refreshing. It was delicious in its own way!

I ordered the stewed hamburger curry up until March. Although it's called baked curry, it doesn't have the same baked curry feeling as the one in Moji Port. It's more like toasting it in a toaster and then putting cheese on top and giving it a seared finish with a burner, but it's delicious in its own way.

Recently, I had a delicious rice curry that was reminiscent of tower curry, even though it has become less common. The hamburger was exceptional! The portion size was decent, so I recommend starting with a normal amount of rice.

I went to a restaurant in Oonatsu where both my stomach and heart were healed! ☆Jalan Shokudo☆ 11:30-15:00/18:00-22:00 (Wed, Sat) Closed on Sundays and holidays. The "All Toppings" for 1500 yen* (*Tower 1200 yen with beef cheek meat (200 yen) and extra fried chicken (large portion)) This popular restaurant is located in a room in a mansion in Oonatsu. It has a cozy atmosphere with only a counter. The restaurant serves delicious curry with generous portions. On my second visit, around 13:00, the place was full, but I was able to enter without waiting. I asked the owner if they could make the "All Toppings" and they agreed, saying I was the last customer. The owner always serves with a lot of smiles and special services, with the wish for customers to eat deliciously and be full. The hamburger here is incredibly delicious and tender. The beef cheek meat was so delicious that I couldn't help but say "Yum!" It was my first time trying beef cheek meat, and it was so tender! Although I thought it might be small, it was actually quite tender and flavorful. According to the owner, many regulars are fans of the beef cheek meat. Next time, I might try the cheek meat and hamburger combo. I'm also curious about the seasonal limited edition stewed hamburger. I am always grateful for this restaurant, where I can get satisfaction, fulfillment, and healing. I look forward to visiting again. #Shokudo #Curry #HamburgerCurry #FukuokaGourmet #FukuokaLunch #JalanShokudo

I discovered a curry restaurant on Instagram that caught my interest. I decided to try their tower dish, and although I was hesitant at first, I managed to finish it. If you order the tower dish, it might be a good idea to go for 150g or 200g of rice.

As expected, this popular restaurant had a line of customers waiting... Well, I had some time to spare and didn't know when I'd be able to come back, so I decided to wait. I think I waited for about 10 minutes. When I finally sat at the counter and placed my order... I got the Cheese Curry for 680 yen and added some Squid Rings for 200 yen. I was really tempted by the Hamburg steak, but I decided to go for something more modest today, haha. As always, it was delicious! I ordered the regular size, but it was quite filling. The guy at the back table was working on the restaurant's famous Tower Curry, it was impressive to watch, haha. I've been posting a lot on Pretty, but when I counted, I realized I've made 30 posts just on Jalan alone. Truly grateful to Jalan for their support. #FukuokaGourmet #Curry #Tower #KyushuBGradeGourmetClub

(2021.11.26) I heard that there is an interesting curry restaurant near Hirao Station, so I decided to visit it right away and asked the navigation system for directions from the station. However, I was led further into a residential area, to an old apartment building that seemed to have been around for quite some time. The building owner had purchased the aging apartment building and was using it as employee dormitories, renting out all units as tenants for over a decade. Feeling uneasy about finding a restaurant in such a place, I followed the small sign placed at the entrance to the second floor as instructed, and found the restaurant I was looking for, called "Jalan Shokudo." The menu listed dishes like Wagyu beef cheek curry, special handmade hamburger curry, fried chicken curry, omurice cheese curry, squid ring curry, keema curry, baked curry (limited to winter), cheddar cheese hamburger curry, and croquette curry. However, the reason I visited was to try the curry tower, where toppings are stacked like a tower on the curry. When I mentioned this to the owner, they kindly accepted my request. The rice portion was 250g, and I could choose the amount of toppings. I ordered a normal amount and after waiting for a while, I was served an omurice cheese curry with croquette, hamburger, and squid ring stacked on top, along with a boiled egg on a separate plate. I had to carefully place the boiled egg on top of the squid ring myself, as about 30% of customers tend to fail at this, so the owner advised me to "focus completely." This playful touch was enjoyable. This dish not only attracts customers through its Instagram-worthy presentation but also contributes to increasing the average customer spending, thereby boosting sales. It has become a unique item that helps drive revenue.

I visited the restaurant because I was interested in the "Tower Curry" that was mentioned in another customer's review. The owner was the only staff member, but provided friendly service, and it seemed like there were many regular customers. The seating was only at the counter, with a maximum of 8 seats. The Tower Curry was priced at around 1,080 yen including tax (from what I remember), and it came with a side salad. It's not listed on the menu, but if you mention "Tower Curry" to the staff, they will know what you're referring to. The dish consisted of rice wrapped in a half-cooked omelette, with options for normal, large, or small portions without any additional charges. The curry had a homemade feel with a thick texture, and you could adjust the spiciness by adding chili powder provided on the table. The curry was topped with cheese, adding richness to the dish. The ingredients (boiled egg, squid ring fry, hamburger, croquette) were freshly fried or grilled, showing that they were made with care. I waited for about 15 minutes before it was served. The Tower Curry had a striking appearance and a good amount of food, making it delicious to eat. I also had an iced coffee for 100 yen including tax as a lunchtime service. The restaurant does not have its own parking lot, so those coming by car will need to use a nearby coin parking lot.

I visited a curry restaurant with a name like a lodging site during my business trip to Hakata. The restaurant was located on the second floor of an old apartment, and a female owner was managing it alone. The place was packed, but I ordered a complicated menu without considering the situation. I apologized for the inconvenience. I had to put croquette, hamburger, and calamari on top of the curry myself, and the boiled egg on top was also a DIY task. The eyes of the people around me were intense, but with the kind advice of the owner, I managed to do it successfully. She said she would never say not to put them on top.

I visited a curry restaurant after being amazed by a picture on SNS. The restaurant was located on the second floor of a normal building, with a cozy interior featuring a counter with 8 seats and a slightly ethnic vibe. When I looked at the menu, I couldn't find the dish I wanted, so I showed them the photo and placed my order. They mentioned that the hamburger was quite substantial, so I opted for a smaller portion of rice. The table had bottles of Fukujinzuke and rakkyo vinegar for unlimited servings. First, a vegetable salad arrived, followed by a small plate with a boiled egg, and then the main curry dishes were served - a cheese-filled omelette curry, handmade hamburger, topped with squid rings. The system allowed me to finish the tower myself, with a 20% failure rate and a tip to keep an eye on the egg. I tried it and succeeded! The hamburger was thick and juicy, and the curry had been simmered for three days, reminiscent of a Japanese mother's curry. The owner was very kind, with many regular customers. Even as a first-time visitor, she checked in on me and offered to provide more rice if needed. It was a delightful experience.

First of all, take a look at this height! The boiled egg at the top may look big, but it's just a matter of perspective as the boiled egg was shot from the closest position. It's really tall. It's a tower. From bottom to top: omelette curry, croquette, hamburger, calamari ring, boiled egg. The balance is unbelievable. It requires strong core strength. However, if you let your guard down, the tower will collapse immediately. And you have to place the boiled egg yourself, so it also helps to train your sense of balance. That's why it's called Jarlan Dining. This tower curry is a secret menu, but I went there because I saw this visual and thought "I want to eat it!" The curry has a homely and gentle flavor. For those who prefer spicy curries or local curries these days, it may feel lacking in spice, but I like this kind of curry too. Above all, the croquette and hamburger are delicious. The curry wraps around them like a warm hug. And the price is very reasonable at 1080 yen for all these toppings. When I mentioned, "The cost performance is really good," to the owner, she replied with a smile, "Our rent is cheap, so we manage somehow. But this menu has a high cost ratio, so we're pushing ourselves a bit." Her warm personality added to the charm of the place.

Located near Sunny supermarket when heading towards the Japanese Red Cross Hospital from Hirao Station, this hidden gem of a restaurant is on the second floor of an old small building. I stumbled upon it without any prior knowledge, but it turned out to be quite popular. Inside, there were only about 6-7 seats at the counter, and it seemed like the owner, a friendly lady, was running the place by herself. I ordered the "Beef Curry with Wagyu Cheek Meat and Cheese Topping" from the 9 menu options available. The curry was served after a salad, and it was a well-balanced medium-spicy with just the right amount of spice and not too sweet. The Wagyu cheek meat was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. I later found out that their most popular dish is the special handmade hamburger curry, which looked delicious on other customers' plates. I might try loading up on toppings next time! The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant reflected the warmth of the owner, and it seemed to have a lot of regular customers. I will definitely be visiting again! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited during lunchtime. It's a hidden gem with only a dimly lit counter in a room of an apartment. I liked the cozy atmosphere. I ordered the hamburger curry with calamari rings and boiled eggs on top. I chose the free extra large rice portion of 250g. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come out since it was managed by a woman (maybe the owner?) alone. She was friendly behind the counter, efficiently preparing the meal. While waiting, I enjoyed the side salad. The curry was rich and thick. It wasn't spicy at first bite, but a subtle heat slowly crept up afterwards. It had a home-cooked taste that was delicious and unique. I thought many people would get addicted to it because you can't find this flavor elsewhere. My companion couldn't handle spicy food and found it too hot, but I added some chili powder from the table to adjust the spiciness to my liking. However, I wasn't a big fan of the hamburger itself. It looked big and appetizing, and when cut, it was packed with meat and had a nice texture, but I felt a slight chemical taste, probably from the seasoning. I'm quite sensitive and noticed it, but most people probably wouldn't mind. Nevertheless, I love the curry sauce, the atmosphere, and the friendly mama, so I would like to visit again.

You can eat to your heart's content at a reasonable price. The cozy and stylish little restaurant makes you feel relaxed when you sit at the counter. I was brought here by a friend who said the hamburgers and curry are delicious. I ordered the large portion. It was so tasty that I couldn't stop eating. I leisurely enjoyed my meal as usual and ended up feeling extremely full. It seems to be trendy to stack the ingredients neatly so they don't fall over when posting on Instagram.

A while ago, I saw on social media that a new friend I recently made was eating a curry with a variety of toppings at Jaran Shokudo near the company, and it looked incredibly delicious. I had been thinking of trying it out if I had the chance, so when I finished work early the other day and Jaran Shokudo was still open, I hurried over there. I parked at the nearby coin parking lot and walked up to the front of the store. The Iidani Building, which used to be a residence, has now been renovated into a tenant building with each room refurbished. I climbed the stairs to the second floor and made my way to the back, already greeted by the smell of curry which was irresistible. Upon entering through the open door, I found a long restaurant with only a counter. The friendly female owner welcomed me. Since it was close to closing time and there were no other guests, I was able to place an order. I had been wanting to try the "full-loaded extra-large" curry, so I ordered that. While the owner was contemplating how to top it off, I sat at a table on the balcony, enjoying the view and watching the local cats. The full-loaded curry arrived! The visual was quite shocking, with boiled eggs, beef cheeks, and cheese inside the curry. On top of the rice was an omelet, followed by croquettes, hand-molded hamburgers, and side dishes of fried chicken, fried squid, and fried shrimp. I was unsure where to start, but I began with the curry, omelet, and rice combination. The beef curry here is beef curry, not too sweet or spicy, but with a nice level of spiciness and strong umami flavor, making it an ideal curry for me, a lover of Japanese curry rice. It was so delicious that I could eat it every day. The beef cheeks were so tender that they could be cut with a spoon. The hamburger had a slight cinnamon flavor and was juicy. The croquette was crispy and fluffy. The omelet was fluffy. The fried chicken was crispy. The fried squid and shrimp were crispy as well. The cheese inside the curry did a great job. The boiled eggs were just plain eggs, which served as a nice break between bites. I mixed the ingredients with the curry and enjoyed it so much that I ran out of sauce. The owner kindly added more sauce, allowing me to enjoy it until the end. I dug in and was completely satisfied! I didn't check the amount of rice, but I felt like it was over 450g. I finished with an iced coffee. I was extremely satisfied (*^-^*) Most shockingly, the price for this curry was only 1,500 yen! If you were to order a similar dish at a well-known chain, it would cost over 2,500 yen, so the cost performance here is amazing (*^-^*) Even with the coffee, it was only 1,700 yen, which is too cheap. By the way, during lunchtime, you can get a salad and coffee for an additional 100 yen, making it 1,600 yen with the salad and coffee. Lunchtime is usually crowded, so ordering the full-loaded dish might be a bit awkward... I had been wanting to try it for a while, so I'm glad I could. I was very satisfied (*^-^*) Thank you for the meal <m(_ _)m> #JalanShokudo #CurrySpecialtyRestaurant #Curry #CurryRice #FullLoaded #ExtraLarge #IcedCoffee #LunchtimeDeal #AdjacentCoinParking #IidaniBuilding #Garso #RamenLoverGarso #DeliciousBeefCheeks #CrispyFriedFood #GreatCostPerformance

Jalan Shokudo, a curry restaurant in Hirao, is located about a 3-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of a small building. I visited around 11:50 am on a weekday, with only 2 other customers already there. The restaurant has a small counter with 6-7 seats. I ordered their most popular dish, the special handmade hamburger curry (680 yen including tax), with an additional boiled egg (50 yen) on top. The owner, a friendly lady, asked me if I wanted to adjust the amount of rice, so I requested 200g as I have a health check-up soon (not sure why that's relevant!). First, a salad was served as a complimentary side during lunchtime. After about 10 minutes, the handmade hamburger curry arrived. The hamburger was big and juicy, and the curry had a home-cooked taste with a hint of tomato acidity. It wasn't too spicy, so I adjusted the heat level with the chili pepper on the table. The owner was very kind and attentive, making sure I was enjoying my meal. I noticed a couple of regular customers who seemed to be enjoying their time chatting with the owner. It's clear that this restaurant is loved by the local community. Delicious curry, a comforting atmosphere, and a lovely owner - I will definitely be back to Jalan Shokudo!

Located a little south of Sunny River, this popular curry restaurant is on the second floor of a retro apartment building with several dining options. They offer several types of curry including hamburger and omelette, all priced at 680 yen! The hamburger with cheese on top is 730 yen, and there are also mega-sized options over 1,000 yen. On this day, I ordered the hamburger curry. The hamburger was juicy and the rice was available in large portions. The salad dressing was delicious too! When you're in the mood for a hearty meal, I recommend getting the large portion here.
