We had a drinking party at Hanagasa in Juso on this day. It was a support drinking party for a restaurant that is managing to stay open despite the pandemic. We went to "Hanagasa," an Okinawan cuisine restaurant in Juso. This "Okinawan Cuisine Hanagasa" is located a little walk from the west exit ticket gate of Hankyu Juso Station towards Kobe. The first floor is standing room only, while the second floor has seating. There were counter seats and two 4-person table seats. We started with draft beer, of course, Orion beer. They also had bottled beer, draft beer, and canned beer. After the beer, we tried Awamori since we were there. We asked the staff for recommendations and tried that. For food, we had assorted sashimi, sea grapes, mantis shrimp, and more. We thoroughly enjoyed Okinawan cuisine. Okinawan cuisine goes well with Awamori, after all. I must confess, I have never been to Okinawa. Someday, I want to go on a gourmet trip to Okinawa. Okinawan cuisine was so delicious~~~

The first floor offers a casual standing-style drinking experience, while the second floor allows you to sit down and enjoy a leisurely meal with premium sake. As you climb the stairs, you'll notice illustrations of men and women in traditional Ryukyuan attire on the walls. The counter and table seating on the second floor are adorned with jars of aged sake like Kumesen and Zuisen. Unfortunately, I don't drink alcohol, so I opted for oolong tea and some dishes. I had miso champuru with island tofu, Okinawan-style yakisoba, and Arthur's tempura. While these choices may be common and not particularly representative of Okinawan ingredients, the flavors were delicious. The miso champuru with island tofu was especially outstanding. The mozuku vinegar served as a side dish was also incredibly tasty. The balance of sweetness and tanginess was perfect. Other options on the menu include fried pig's feet (tebichi), marinated pig ears (mimigaa ponzu), and goat soup. There are also dishes like jimaami tofu, rafute (braised pork belly), and sea grapes that are distinctly Okinawan. This is a great place for those who enjoy sake.

I tried to visit a few different restaurants for dinner in Juso, but they were all too crowded to get in. As I was passing by, I remembered hearing about this place before and decided to give it a try. The first floor was a standing bar, while the second floor had tables. When I entered the empty standing bar, I felt a bit awkward being the only customer there. The menu had a wide variety of Okinawan dishes, including sashimi. I ordered the simmered pork dish called "Soki," deep-fried tofu with peanut sauce called "Jimami Tofu," stir-fried pork intestines and garlic chives, and an Orion beer. The Soki was tender, the Jimami Tofu was creamy and crispy, and the stir-fried dish was simple but tasty. Overall, the food was delicious and the menu had a lot of options for both Okinawan food lovers and those new to it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable and delicious food and drinks in Juso. After a while, the place started to get busier with lively regular customers, so I decided to leave. It was a popular and well-loved spot in Juso, and I could see why.

Thirteen steps♪After visiting the stand with a floor area of four tatami mats, I headed to Hanagasa, which I had been wanting to try. Although I had been to the store in Nishinakajima before, this was my first time at the main branch. They serve casual Okinawan cuisine that you can easily enjoy. Since this was our second stop, we decided to keep it simple. The crispy fried grouper was delicious, with a nice crunch and not too many bones. When you come here, be sure to try the fresh bitter melon chu-hai! It's very refreshing, with little bitterness, making it suitable even for those who don't like bitter melon. It's much easier to drink than green juice. As for the finale, we had to go with the pork rib soba noodles. The broth was incredibly gentle and perfect for finishing the meal. The noodles were chewy and smooth. Swipe x 3⏪ PIC2 I love squeezing shikuwasa citrus juice into my awamori. With this combination, I could drink as many glasses as I wanted, haha. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, making it a fun dining experience. Next time, I'd like to indulge in some hearty dishes from the first stop. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal (╹◡╹)♡ Hanagasa Osaka City, Yodogawa-ku, Juusan Honmachi 1-2-13 ☎️06-6886-0666 ⏰16:00-23:00 Closed on Mondays 3.49 score at the time of visit #Hanagasa #HanagasaOkinawanRestaurant #ThirteenGourmet

On the thirteenth day, I started at this restaurant recommended by a friend! * Appetizer (mozuku vinegar) * Sea grapes * Somen champuru * Purple sweet potato croquette Somen champuru, I tried it for the first time. It's quite different from the somen I know, quite heavy! But it's light and delicious! I couldn't stop eating, it was so good! It's noodle dish, but it goes well with alcohol. The purple sweet potato croquette, as you can see in the photo, is made from this incredibly purple sweet potato!! It's rich, extremely sweet, and incredibly delicious. You can easily eat one plate per person. It was amazing. We started with an Orion beer for a toast, and then ordered Okinawa-style mango chu-hai and various types of chu-hai. There were also plenty of awamori options!

I tried the squid ink yakisoba at another restaurant and it was disappointing, so I decided to give it another try here. The squid ink yakisoba here was my first time trying it and it was delicious, making me an instant fan. I really wanted to come back! However, when I finally returned, the squid ink yakisoba seemed different. The balance between the broth and squid ink was off. The julienned carrots, which used to be good, were now mushy. It seems like they may have tried too hard to improve the dishes. Feeling a bit disappointed, I left early. There are other dishes I want to try here, so I will give it another chance.

I didn't have high expectations for Okinawan cuisine when dining with my university seniors, juniors, and peers, but the nostalgic stories were enjoyable and the flavors were good. The Goya chu-hai was bitter but it was a drink I sometimes crave. Thank you for the meal.

Sea grapes, pork belly (simmered three-layered pork), were delicious. The master was amazing. Just that alone makes me want to go back again. I also had awamori (easy to drink from the hometown), even though I didn't plan on drinking much, I ended up feeling a bit tipsy on the way home. The photo is how it looked. 60°.

This is a food review from Hanagasa in Juso. It is located at the edge of the street just north of the station from the west exit. The first floor is standing-style drinking, and the second floor is a counter where you can enjoy dining in a relaxed atmosphere. They have a wide variety of local sake such as awamori. Okinawan cuisine, also known as Ryukyu cuisine, is a traditional cuisine that has been passed down since the Ryukyu Kingdom era. In 2019, it was recognized as a Japanese heritage. Okinawa is surrounded by the sea and has a subtropical climate, resulting in unique ingredients. The traditional seasoning includes salt, miso, bonito flakes, and kelp, with a significant difference being the use of pork broth. The cuisine is influenced by Satsuma cuisine, Fujian-style Chinese cuisine, and the use of ingredients such as kelp and bonito flakes brought from Hokkaido and Satsuma. Due to the climate and soil conditions, Okinawa mainly relied on sweet potatoes as a staple food. After World War II, dishes like Okinawa soba and taco rice became popular. The consumption of spam and canned foods from the US also increased. Pork is a staple in Okinawan cuisine, with various parts of the pig being used for cooking. Okinawa has the highest consumption of bonito flakes in Japan. Additionally, the breeding of the endangered native pig breed, Agu, has become popular, leading to the production of high-quality pork in Okinawa. Check out the video of the dishes I tried at Hanagasa in Juso.【Hanagasa】Okinawan Cuisinehttps://youtu.be/CwHkW01gEEY

After being under self-restraint for a long time due to the infectious disease policy, I visited the restaurant for the first time in six months since the restrictions were eased. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has table seating. Despite the relaxation, the number of customers has not fully recovered yet. Around 6:30 pm, there were about 4 groups of customers, about half of the usual amount. There were also a few groups of customers waiting. Many of them seemed to be regulars. We were served kamaboko and vegetable salad as a starter. We ordered sea grapes, ham katsu, simmered pork belly, fu chanpuru, thick-fried tofu with island tofu, spicy stir-fried pig face skin, juicy fried rice, beer, Kumesen on the rocks, and Goya shochu highball to drink. The seasoning is authentic Okinawan, but this restaurant also offers original dishes and drinks with their own twist. The staff's cheerful and friendly smiles add to the wonderful atmosphere.

The restaurant originally has table seating, but during this period only the standing bar on the first floor is open. I was really impressed by this Okinawan restaurant! Everything I ate was incredibly delicious! Especially the Fu Chanpuru went really well with Awamori. I want to go back to this place once I can drink alcohol again!

"I want to go to Okinawa (*´∇`*) Whenever I miss Okinawa, I always end up going to the restaurant "Hanagasa" near Hankyu Juso Station, just outside the west exit ticket gate, through the Shonben Yokocho. It's an Okinawan cuisine restaurant. I wonder if there are seats on the 2nd floor? I've never been to the 2nd floor, but the 1st floor is standing room only.
[Orion Beer (medium bottle)]
First, of course, it's Orion \(//∇//)\ Orion beer in Okinawa is the best, but the Orion beer here is also delicious.
[Zimaami Tofu]
This chewy and slippery texture, with a hint of peanuts aroma, and the perfect combination of sweet and savory sauce! I love it♡
[Orion Beer (draft)]
I also want to drink this. After all, Orion is a must for Okinawan cuisine (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
[Mozuku Tempura]
What is this! This chewy texture is amazing. It completely surprises your imagination of "tempura" or "mozuku" in a good way, with its texture and deliciousness. It goes well with the light snow salt❤︎
I was planning to have a light drink, so that's it. The staff warmly welcomes you even if you go alone, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Let's go again when I catch the Okinawa bug (*´꒳`*) Thank you for the meal ☺︎"

I happened to come across "Hanagasa," an Okinawan cuisine restaurant near Hankyu Juusan Station, and was drawn in. I ordered classic dishes like Goya Champuru, Mozuku, and Rafute, along with a glass of Awamori mixed with Shikuwasa. The strong Awamori paired with Shikuwasa was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The second place is Hanagasa in Juso. It's a popular Okinawan restaurant where there are always a lot of people inside and outside the shop. You drink at the counter, where there is a cute lineup of delicious awamori in front of you. I was curious about the bitter melon chu-hai that the people around me were ordering, so I tried it. It was not as bitter as I expected, so it was delicious! When I mentioned this, the couple next to me seemed interested, so I asked them if they wanted to try it. We ended up chatting with the man on my right, the couple on my left, and the friend I was with, so I didn't have much time to talk with my friend. It's a great place where you can chat with the people around you. The goat sashimi had less of a unique taste than I thought, and it went well with the awamori.

Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City. It's been a while since I visited Hanagasa! The Tangerine Chu-hi (600 yen) is a must-try, especially since it's only available in winter! Delicious! The Okinawan-style yakisoba (680 yen) is also amazing with cabbage, carrots, onions, and squid. The bonito broth adds a rich flavor to the dish. The Okinawan soba noodles are really tasty! This is a great restaurant. Next time, I'll come with friends to try the goat sashimi!

I went out for a late dinner in Juso and found a standing Okinawan cuisine restaurant. I was tempted by the goat soup, but this time I went for the goat sashimi. It was easier to eat compared to the mercilessly mugwort-filled goat soup I had in Okinawa. However, I still want to go back and try that again. The meal included Kikunotsuyu [old sake], VIP GOLD sea grape tofu, goat sashimi, Puchanpuru (juicy fried rice), So-ki soba.

Located in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City. Just off the station, this is a standing Okinawan cuisine spot! The interior has a counter for about 15 people, with a second floor as well.
- Tangerine Chu-Hai (600 yen): Made from tangerines born from ponkan and neburu. A luxurious chu-hai with lots of fruit pulp! Delicious! The freshly squeezed juice with seeds is a must-try!
- Fresh Shiitake Tempura (450 yen): Surprisingly generous portion! Served with snow salt for a chewy texture that's irresistible!
- Okinawan Soba (850 yen): Yes, you can have it here! No need to go all the way to Okinawa! The soup has a good aroma of bonito flakes. The firm flat noodles are a delight! The island chili pepper adds a nice spiciness. Affordable and authentic Okinawan cuisine enjoyment! Plus, the hospitality towards customers is excellent! A place where you can enjoy casual yet authentic Okinawan cuisine!
