I went to buy a birthday cake for a child. The shop had a spacious and stylish atmosphere. When I was choosing a cake, the staff asked if I had decided already, even though I was still unsure, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the display case with cream puffs and such was too foggy to see inside, which I found inconvenient.

The store is a combination of a sales area and a cafe space on the left. I was intrigued by the latte art mentioned by other reviewers, so I decided to visit. I started by ordering a cappuccino tart. The cappuccino was slightly bitter and creamy, making it easy to drink. The tart's crust wasn't really to my liking, but the whipped cream was delicious. Also, the water is surprisingly tasty. The atmosphere was pretty average. Since it's close by, I'll come back again.

・Favory Plate 890 yen, Marco Polo 600 yen
◯It had been a while since I last visited, and I have ordered takeout a few times before, so this time I decided to dine in on a weekday when there were fewer people.
◯I love tea, and it seems they are now using my favorite Mariage Frères brand. I had a hard time choosing a blend and ended up with Marco Polo, which allows you to enjoy its fragrance.
◯The luxurious Favory Plate not only includes a fruit tart but also cookies and ice cream, all for less than 1,000 yen.
◯It's a very cozy space to spend a leisurely time in.

Kokura Minami-ku, Kitakyushu City, Kamisoneshimmachi. A popular Western confectionery store & cafe in Kokura Minami-ku. In front of the store (in Kokura Kita-ku) is another popular shop, Kikutaro. Baumkuchen is extremely popular here. They also have mini baumkuchen and colorful baumkuchen. Especially the colorful baumkuchen comes in various flavors. They also offer One Blanc, Sablé, Sandwich Cream, Cheesecake, Ice Cream, and Tarts. At the cafe, you can enjoy quiche, salad, soup, roll cake, and baumkuchen. This time, I bought the Earl Grey flavored colorful baumkuchen (410 yen). The Earl Grey flavored colorful baumkuchen is moist and delicious. The baumkuchen is sweet but not too heavy, and the Earl Grey aroma and taste add a nice touch. There are a total of 12 flavors of colorful baumkuchen. I wonder what I'll try next. Thank you for the meal.

This cake shop is always popular and the parking lot is always full. I had bought Baumkuchen and cakes here before, but I didn't really like them except for Mont Blanc. One day, my friend FF gave me a cheesecake as a gift and said, "You haven't been to this shop yet, have you?" I thought I had been there before, but when I opened the website, I realized I had only drafted a review and hadn't posted it, with a rating of 3.4 stars. FF scolded me, saying, "Come on, you dummy!" Now, the cheesecake and Tiramisu Baum I received this time were delicious. The cheesecake was rich, with a crunchy walnut accent. The Tiramisu Baum was moist and tasty, surprising me as I had low expectations due to a previous Baumkuchen experience. Ah, now I understand why there are always long lines at this shop. Initially, I was almost going to give a low rating due to the disappointing Baumkuchen, but this unexpected surprise changed my mind.

I came here for the peach parfait. My companion had the affogato kakigori. The parking lot is always full, indicating that this is a popular place. There was a line for takeout. However, we were able to easily enter the cafe space without waiting. The seasonal peach parfait costs 1600 yen and uses 1.5 peaches. It includes homemade crumble, rich custard, and gelato. The peaches were sweet and delicious. The customer service was honestly below 3.0.

Visited this shop during my hometown visit. They decorate their Baumkuchen cakes in a cute way. I've tried their cakes before, but I find them too soft for my liking. Also, I prefer to enjoy the taste of the Baumkuchen itself rather than just the decorations. And on top of that, the prices are a bit high considering the decorations. So, I had never been there before. I stopped by before heading to the airport.
- Threel (170 yen): The cream inside the fluffy dough lacks richness. It seems like they are trying to cover it up with the sweetness of powdered sugar.
- 3-piece gift set (680 yen): Includes Baumkuchen, financiers, and orange pound cake. This kind of set is nice for giving to someone, with cute wrapping. The taste is okay, nothing special. The Baumkuchen lacks a strong egg flavor.
The parking lot is spacious and easy to find a spot.

I visited "Favori Prue" in Kokura, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture by car. It is a quite large store with a spacious parking lot. I heard that they are famous for their Baumkuchen and tarts, so I decided to stop by. There is a signboard with a picture of Baumkuchen at the entrance. It seems to be quite popular. The interior of the store has a fancy feel that would appeal to women. This time, I had the following items in the cafe space:
- Fruit Tart: The tart consists of tart crust, sponge cake, custard, whipped cream, strawberries, mandarins, and other fruits. There is a Halloween-like white chocolate ghost on top. The cake is quite large. The tart crust has a nice almond flavor. The custard is sweet, while the whipped cream is not too sweet. The fresh fruits provided a good balance.
- Strawberry Tart: Similar to the fruit tart, but with a focus on berry fruits on top and drizzled with berry sauce.
- Cafe Latte: The coffee had a clear contrast between the coffee and milk, appearing strong but was actually easy to drink. Thank you for the meal.

The stylish and exciting white building exterior makes you feel excited. Next to where cakes (tarts), Baumkuchen, and more are sold, there is a cafe space. The cafe is open and airy with large windows. For lunch, I had a quiche set which was creamy and delicious. Afterwards, I had a strawberry parfait. It had whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, sponge cake, and a crunchy cookie-like texture at the bottom. It was a generous portion but not too sweet, and I finished it in no time. A simple yet cute and very delicious parfait.

On the way to a pastry shop~(*´ω`*) It's been a while since I last visited and there are still a lot of people there (-_-) I wandered outside for a bit and the crowd thinned out. I decided to skip the cake and went for some baked goods this time‼︎‼︎‼︎ I chose Baumkuchen as the main item. The texture of the dough is moist and the sweetness is just right (^^) It's perfect for enjoying with tea☆ When I eat this kind of elegant baked goods, I can't help but crave junk food like young donuts (lol) Since I've been spending more time at home, I need to have some sweet treats on hand.

Berry Tart 518 yen, Sille 157 yen. The road in front of the store is called "Kani Kaki Road," but I'm not sure if it means crab and oyster. The store has a high-end appearance. I love tarts, so I bought the Berry Tart and the Sille, which means "smile" in French and is like a cream puff. The Berry Tart was moist and not really to my liking. On the other hand, the Sille had delicious custard and cream inside. And it's cheap. There is also an eat-in corner in the store, where a few female customers were chatting.

I went to the store around 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. It was located on the right side when coming from Kokura Kita-ku, and there were many cars trying to enter the parking lot, causing a traffic jam. Thank you to the car that let me through. Inside the store, there was a line at the register on the right side. The "Weekend" that I wanted was displayed in the showcase next to the register, so I waited in line. I was fourth in line, but had to wait about 10 minutes for some customers to decide on the cake in the showcase at the back left of the register. The staff at the register remained calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the store, serving customers with a gentle smile. They also charged for plastic or paper bags, at 5 yen each. I declined the bag and put the cake in my cooler bag. The "Weekend" cake had a lemon-flavored coating on the outside and a moist sponge inside. It would go well with cold unsweetened carbonated water in the summer, and with strong hot tea in the winter. It was reasonably priced, and I enjoyed the delicious taste for three days after buying it. Thank you for the meal.

I used to buy Colorful Balm at Idutsuya before, but this was my first time coming here! The decorations inside the store were cute and exciting! I mistakenly thought it was Kikutarou when I went, but finally found my way back after deciding to buy souvenirs on the way back! Haha. There were only tarts available (I'm not a big fan of tarts), so I hesitated between fruit, Mont Blanc, and berry, but ended up choosing fruit. I had Caramelized Banana Parfait and coffee, while my companion had Baumkuchen and roll cake with coffee. Maybe because of the corona, there was a one-hour time limit. By the way, they also measured our body temperature when we entered! I don't remember seeing alcohol hand sanitizer available. The taste was great, with balm served with the parfait and a very rich mascarpone cream. The balm was warm and delicious. The roll cake had a fluffy texture with a rich but refreshing cream. It would have been perfect if there were more options than just tarts! Haha. The staff's customer service was very good and attentive. When I returned home, I bought Colorful Balm for my family. The prices were also very reasonable!

"Alicia's Food Log: I often visit this shop as it's close by, but I hadn't posted about it. This shop is famous for its Baumkuchen, but I love their cake's whipped cream. Today, I had the strawberry shortcake and Mont Blanc. The whipped cream was as delicious as ever, with fresh strawberries, a soft but not too soft sponge, and a strong chestnut flavor in the Mont Blanc. I should try different options, but I always choose the same. Today, I enjoyed the consistent deliciousness and happiness as always. Thank you."

We made our way to a sweets shop in Kokura Minami-ku, following the commotion of winning 1 million yen. We ended up at favori plus, a spacious sweets shop with a nearly full parking lot. The eat-in area was also packed. We bought a chiffon cake and a fluffy dessert. When we got home, we tried the chiffon cake. It was light and had a simple sweetness that paired well with a sweet café au lait.

When I went to the Kuchinashi area, I was drawn to a crowded shop and ended up parking in the parking lot (*'ω'*). Upon researching, it seems to be a popular sweets shop. The line in front of the store is for gelato? It seems to be a branch of a popular gelato shop. The exterior and interior of the shop are both stylish, with white as the main color. It seems like you can use the cafe inside the shop, but the wait was quite long, so I decided to buy and take it home. I bought a strawberry tart for 480 yen, a fruit tart for 480 yen, and two sliels for 145 yen each! The strawberry tart was large in size. First of all, the strawberries were delicious! The balance of sweetness and acidity was good. The whipped cream was my favorite type, with a good balance of sweetness and milkiness, similar to the whipped cream at my favorite cake shop "Bush". The tart was on the thicker and denser side, providing a satisfying bite. I prefer lighter tarts, so I found it a bit heavy, but that's just a matter of personal preference. The fruit tart was also delicious, with the fruits standing out. The sliel was a pleasant surprise! It looked like a cream puff. The texture was fluffy like a souffle, with plenty of cream inside. It was the most delicious item this time, and the best part was the affordable price! It was a great value for money dessert! I would like to try using the cafe inside the shop next time!

I purchased it as a birthday cake, but when I ate it, it was a bit different from a regular roll cake. It had a unique texture, almost like eating sakura mochi. My child only ate the strawberry part. It was a bit disappointing. However, I like this shop and often buy from here. The best recommendation is the chiffon cake. And it's cheap (although the price seems to have gone up recently?). Next time, I will go buy a regular roll cake. Thank you for the meal.

It's about a 20-minute train ride from Kokura Station. There is a place called Kusami Station. It's a difficult kanji to read, but it's pronounced "kusami." From there, it's a 15-minute walk. There are probably very few people who come here this way. There is a large parking lot, so most customers come by car. The spacious house with a pure white exterior offers fresh cakes, baked goods, and Baumkuchen inside. The high-ceilinged café space was full on this holiday. While waiting for a seat to open up, I carefully looked at the items. On this day, I had cake at the café and took some baked goods to go. At the café: 1. Roll cake - 320 yen. There were two types available, but I chose plain. It was fluffy with high-quality cream, the shop's recommended item. 2. Fruit tart - 495 yen. Packed with seasonal fruits and a different cream from the roll cake. 3. Earl Grey tea for an additional 250 yen, which comes with the cake. It's quite a good deal. Items for takeout: 1. Soleil Sablé - a large cookie in the shape of the sun with almonds. 2. Galette Bretonne - has a strong rum flavor. 3. Chocolate Almond Sablé - has a nice texture. It's a shop that is clearly working hard. The staff were also kind and left a good impression.

I had gelato from Cream Design inside the Faboli grounds. They had a variety of flavors, from fruity to nutty, all rich and delicious-looking. After sampling a few, I finally settled on pistachio, hazelnut, and strawberry milk. The caramel used in the gelato is made from scratch by the pastry chef at the shop, giving it a crispy yet refreshing sweetness.

Today, I visited my favorite sweets shop, Fabri Prue, among the recent dessert shops. Last time, I had the apple pie, so this time I bought the strawberry tart. The strawberries and cream were delicious, and the tart was crispy and extremely tasty. I'm already thinking about what to try next... I'll definitely be back! It's a shop that makes you want to visit again and again.
