On the night of a day off, I came to this restaurant that I had planned to visit but couldn't make it last time due to adult circumstances. It's been two years since I last visited. At that time, I didn't have much experience going to high-end Chinese restaurants, but coming full circle, I still think this place is quite unique. When it comes to Chinese cuisine, many restaurants only allow you to greet at the entrance and don't let you truly experience the depth of their offerings, so the style of serving a variety of dishes in small portions all at once allows the restaurant to showcase its full potential, making it a good strategy to capture the attention of first-time customers. The location in Roppongi also seems to match well, and I feel like this is a well-thought-out restaurant. Of course, there are many Chinese restaurants that offer a la carte options, which can be enjoyable as well. Also, since Chinese cuisine tends to be hearty, some may prefer larger portions of each dish to make it more "authentic." It's a fact that this restaurant may not stand out in that aspect. However, it's nice to have a restaurant like this, although I don't necessarily wish for all Chinese restaurants to adopt the same simultaneous serving style. The carefully prepared shark fin soup, signature "drooling beef," and dishes that incorporate Japanese ingredients or unique twists (such as wrapping kataifi around Peking duck) while staying true to traditional Chinese cooking techniques, offering items that can only be enjoyed here, are all enjoyable. The tea pairing I reluctantly chose due to my tired stomach actually complemented the dishes quite well. In particular, the second cup of oolong tea described as "fruity" paired with the Singapore-style chili prawns was excellent. However, with 19 plates and 25 items being served in this style of multiple small dishes, the impression of each dish may fade, and one may start to feel a bit unsatisfied, wanting more of the signature dishes. The final bill of 24,200 yen (including tax) may seem reasonable considering the location and the dishes served. The service at the restaurant is impeccable. However, due to the location, the staff may not be very proactive in engaging with customers, which could be good for those who prefer to be left alone.
