I visited Osaka for the first time in 8 years since August 2014. After checking into a hotel in Umeda, I took a bus to Shinsaibashi area. My first stop was at "Koga-ryu Hon-ten" located in America-mura, in front of Sankaku Park. The sight of them cooking in front of the store seemed unchanged from 8 years ago. I bought the "classic sauce mayo" takoyaki (10 pieces for 500 yen including tax) and moved to the second floor eat-in space using the elevator. The soft and fluffy texture of the dough and the appearance of the octopus from within, along with the sweet sauce, bonito flakes, and seaweed blending together in the mouth, was indescribably delicious. When it comes to takoyaki in Osaka, it has to be "Koga-ryu Hon-ten" in America-mura for me. I don't know when, but I am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for the meal!

I have been using the best takoyaki in Osaka for 40 years since high school. Nowadays, there are many delicious takoyaki shops, but back in the day, there were only a few. This takoyaki shop in America-mura has not changed since then and represents the taste of Osaka. It used to cost 300 yen, but now it's much more expensive.

This time I tried "Koga-style" takoyaki. I thought the sauce was basic and delicious, but the salt and pepper was the best. They say Osaka's takoyaki is delicious even without any toppings, so next time I might try it plain. But I'll probably end up eating it with salt and pepper again (laughs).

When you come to Osaka, be sure to try Koka-ryu's takoyaki! I love the takoyaki here. I always struggle between choosing Negipon or Black Pepper Mayo Salt, but this time I went with the Mayo Salt. The takoyaki here is small so it's scary how quickly you can eat them all! I would love to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I think it's a matter of personal preference, but it wasn't bad, just not particularly delicious. I didn't really feel like I was eating takoyaki when I had the small ones. The sauce and toppings seemed to overpower the taste of the takoyaki itself (I prefer a half-melted texture). I probably wouldn't buy them again, to be honest. It's understandable for this type of shop, but the staff were unfriendly, which may have also contributed to my experience.

When I go to Sankaku Park in Shinsaibashi, I remember the Koga-style takoyaki. Ever since I discovered that mayonnaise goes well with takoyaki in high school, I have been captivated by it. It doesn't have a crispy texture, but sometimes I crave the fluffy feeling. It's not very cost-effective at 550 yen for 10 pieces. It used to be around 300 yen 20 years ago, so it's almost doubled! It's a tough world, but sitting in Sankaku Park, reminiscing about my youth and eating in front of me is nice.

I purchased a sauce mayo takoyaki as a dinner during a trip to watch high school baseball at Koshien Stadium on Thursday around 6:15 PM. I usually choose the classic sauce mayo flavor and eat it at Sanko Park as usual. The only difference this time is that I couldn't drink the Super Dry 350ml can beer that I used to buy together before due to my health condition. Oh? Are they not selling canned beer anymore? I'm happy that they provide a trash can outside the store. But I can't understand people who litter empty trays and disposable chopsticks around. Despite the current high prices, it's still quite expensive at 550 yen for 10 pieces. But it's worth it. The crispy outside, tender inside, the aroma of the dough, and the taste of sauce mayo, everything is delicious, I love it! I first tried it about 30 years ago, and I hope they continue to offer the same taste in the same style at the same place. I shared 5 pieces each with my son, and we enjoyed it. Sorry, I only have a photo of the half-eaten takoyaki. Thank you for the meal!

It's been so many years!! I usually pass by this place a lot but I never thought about waiting in line to eat, but today it wasn't crowded and I was hungry so I decided to go buy some (⑉> ᴗ <⑉) I think it's been about 10 years since I last had it, so I went for the classic sauce mayo flavor. Normally, when I eat takoyaki, I prefer ponzu or salt, but this time I went for the classic!! I remember it used to be cheaper back in the day, but the price increase is understandable. My impression after so long is simply delicious. Nothing has really changed, it's just simple and tasty. I personally prefer the outside to be crispy, but this one was a bit on the softer side, which is not my preference, but still simply delicious (*´꒳`*) It's small and easy to eat, and the inside was piping hot!! I'll definitely eat it again if I'm really hungry. Thank you for the meal!!

Arrived in the early afternoon, there were 7 groups of customers ahead of us. It was lucky that there were fewer customers than expected, maybe because it was hot. I chose the classic flavor of takoyaki! The crispy outside and fluffy inside were delicious as usual, but the batter was rich in dashi flavor and so tasty that it didn't need sauce! Thank you for the meal!

During my business trip to Osaka, I took a short break to do some sightseeing and try the takoyaki from Koga-ryu. I arrived 15 minutes before the opening and ate at the nearby Sankaku Park. As soon as I arrived, I could smell the delicious sauce in the air. I ordered the classic sauce and mayonnaise takoyaki. It's important to start with the basics. I was also curious about the black pepper mayonnaise flavor! The takoyaki was on the smaller side and had a fluffy texture. It's different from the typical fried takoyaki. I also bought some to take home, and even when it cooled down, it was still delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The price was very reasonable at 550 yen for 10 pieces. The pieces were not too big, so it was easy to eat. I was curious about the grated ponzu and pepper mayo, but I ordered the sauce mayo. The flavor was delicious with a good dashi broth.

On July 29, 2023 (Saturday), I had a snack with my partner during our second day of traveling in Osaka. We originally planned to go to Omurice Muguni after leaving Dirt Coffee Shop, but it was unexpectedly closed. So, we decided to try takoyaki at a shop in Amerikamura that was featured on TV recently. The shop was established in 1974, and there was no line when we arrived. We bought a classic sauce and mayonnaise takoyaki (10 pieces for 550 yen). Instead of eating at the nearby triangular park as recommended on TV, we opted to eat on the second floor where there was an eat-in area. The takoyaki was decently delicious, with a gooey filling and small pieces of octopus. Overall, it was quite tasty.

No matter how many times I eat here, I always crave the Negi Pon. Whenever I go to Osaka, I always make sure to stop by this shop. The hot takoyaki with crunchy green onions and light ponzu sauce is irresistible. Even with 10 pieces, they disappear in no time. Enjoy them at Triangle Park while making sure the pigeons don't snatch them away!

⭐️There was a line of 15 people from the morning. I bought some takoyaki and ate them in the triangle park in front of the shop!⭐️ Inside the shop, three takoyaki cooks were busy at work! They worked efficiently in coordination with the order taker and the person putting on the sauce! The takoyaki were served to the customers as soon as they were ready!⭐️ A young person suddenly said, "Let's eat takoyaki!" and about 5 people lined up right away! A line formed quickly! This shop is chosen with that kind of feeling!【Order】● Most popular! The classic sauce and mayonnaise takoyaki for 550 yen. Finished with bonito flakes, mayonnaise, and seaweed! The outside is soft, the batter is delicious! The octopus inside is soft and a good size. It's very hot, so be careful not to burn yourself. It has a memorable deliciousness.【Access】1F Koga Ryu Building, 2-18-4 Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka☎️06-6211-05192 minutes walk from Yotsubashi Station, 5 minutes walk from Shinsaibashi Station. I don't know much about takoyaki, but honestly, it was delicious. The price of 550 yen also feels affordable! When I visit near Shinsaibashi, I will definitely come back. I now understand why it was chosen by Michelin. Enjoy your meal, everyone (^^)!

I went to Osaka for lunch and thought, "Since I'm here, I should try something Osaka-like," but I had a hard time finding something. Finally, I found it at the takoyaki stand near Amerikamura Triangle Park! It's a small portion with a light texture, and I remember eating it when I was a student. They come in a pack of 10. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to eat anything else after that, but it turned out to be totally fine. Osaka takoyaki is like a snack, and the gooey inside is so delicious. I couldn't stop eating it!

In the area of Shinsaibashi and America-mura, I heard that the takoyaki here is delicious. They offer takoyaki with green onion sauce for 600 yen on the second floor of the store where there are seats available. I bought the takoyaki and brought it to the second floor to eat. The takoyaki comes in a set of 10 and they are smaller than expected. Eating one in a single bite might make you feel nauseous because they are very hot. The takoyaki has plenty of octopus in them, but some pieces were missing red pickled ginger. Overall, it's a tasty takoyaki.

I had always dreamed of buying takoyaki here and sitting in the nearby park to eat (*^ω^*). I'm so happy to have finally achieved that goal ⤴︎♪ It was 500 yen for a 10-piece pack of sauce-flavored takoyaki. They were soft and fluffy. Perfect for a quick snack. Thank you for the meal.

I went for a walk to America-mura and bought a snack at "Koga-ryu" around 15:30. There were 5 people in line when I arrived, but since it's a takoyaki shop, the turnover was really fast, and I didn't have to wait long to make a purchase. I tried the takosen that day. I've had takosenbei from Enoshima before, but this was something different. It's a popular food in Osaka where takoyaki is sandwiched between senbei. It was my first time trying takosen in my life. Some people like to eat it by crushing the takoyaki, and I decided to do that too. When I actually tried it, the senbei itself was ordinary, but the soft and gooey takoyaki inside was delicious. It didn't change my concept of takoyaki or anything, but it was just a really tasty takoyaki. Thank you for the meal.

After doing some shopping in America-mura and taking a stroll, my wife requested to have some "takoyaki." We decided to go to this particular shop in America-mura, and we arrived around 1:40 PM on a weekday. Although there were no other customers at that time, there were about 7 or 8 people enjoying takoyaki at the nearby Triangle Park, which seemed to be from a famous shop.
We ordered the "Takoyaki (10 pieces) (500 yen)" with the classic mayonnaise sauce. The takoyaki was freshly made and piping hot, with a very thin and almost non-existent outer layer. The inside was gooey and filled with flavor, thanks to the savory broth, finely chopped pickled ginger, and grated yam. The generous size of the octopus inside was a pleasant surprise.
The takoyaki was topped with plenty of finely shaved bonito flakes and seaweed. The combination of fruity and sweet sauce with homemade mayonnaise was a perfect match and added to the deliciousness of the dish.
Overall, it was a delightful meal. Thank you for the treat!

When it comes to Osaka, I always look forward to eating takoyaki every time I visit. People often ask where to find the best takoyaki in Osaka, but personally, I think it's at Koga-Ryu. Their Negimayo Ponzu takoyaki is my favorite. It's just the right size, not too hot inside, and the green onions are delicious. There are still many other takoyaki places I haven't tried yet, but due to time constraints when I'm on a work trip, I always end up eating the delicious takoyaki from this place located next to Sankaku Park without fail.

There are several takoyaki shops in America-mura, all with long lines, but I prefer to buy from this one near the center because the line moves quickly. They offer different types of takoyaki, but this time I ordered the one with green onion sauce. The takoyaki is topped with a lot of green onions. The outside is crispy while the inside is soft. I received my takoyaki and ate it in the park in front of the shop, just like everyone else does. The flavor is slightly mellow due to the abundance of green onions, and the sauce is sweet, making the seasoning just right.
