I was impressed by the beautiful view and delicious food at Kawadaya when I visited for lunch before! This time, I went for dinner and tried the Katsuragi course. The juicy flavor and strong texture of the Katsuragi local chicken were amazing! The charcoal-grilled chicken rice was cut into small pieces, making it easy to eat and perfectly balanced with the rice. The sashimi and tataki were sliced in a way that allowed me to fully savor the flavor and texture of the chicken. The texture of the kuzukatofu was so chewy and delicious! The view from the high ground surrounded by nature was fantastic, and I even thought about sitting on the terrace. It was a stay from daylight to sunset, so by the end of the meal, the night had fallen and the lights of the cars passing on the national road below were sparkling and beautiful.

The kuzukafu tofu was pleasantly sticky and chewy. The Sudachi soba was a refreshing palate cleanser. The main dish of charcoal-grilled local chicken was flavorful and not too tough, making it easy to eat. The chicken rice at the end was delicious with the aroma of charcoal. Overall, the course was a chicken feast with various cooking methods and seasonings, keeping it interesting until the end. The price of ¥6,000 for this course is quite reasonable. The atmosphere surrounded by nature was relaxing. I recommend making a reservation as the parking lot and the restaurant were crowded even on weekdays. The hospitality in the private room with a sunken kotatsu table felt like a ryokan dinner. The terrace seating also seemed nice, although it was not open on the day of my visit. I waited for about 30 minutes before entering the restaurant. While waiting, I saw the kitchen staff working hard to grill chicken over charcoal with flames rising high. I knew I had to order that, and I was not disappointed. Everything from the chicken to the salad, tea, rice, and vegetables was delicious! The staff was very attentive and hospitable. The view of the beautiful mountains made the experience even more enjoyable. The roast beef was the best I've ever had. I'm so glad I ordered it. I highly recommend this place.

Mango pudding Eating delicious chicken dishes while enjoying the serene natural scenery through the window was truly special. It felt like enjoying a meal at a traditional inn. Personally, I found the grilled chicken and rice to be the most delicious, as the charcoal-grilled chicken enhanced the flavor of the rice. I also quite liked the sashimi with tofu skin. If the Satsuma Chiran chicken grilled over charcoal had come with yuzu pepper, I would have been even happier. At six thousand yen for this menu, it is definitely worth it. I was surprised by the number of cars in the parking lot, as it was a place where you have to go by car to enjoy a calm atmosphere while looking at the natural scenery. I didn't make a reservation, thinking it wouldn't be necessary, but it turned out to be a popular restaurant (I might have had a hard time if I hadn't made a reservation). I was invited by a friend for lunch and ordered the "Katsuragi Course" for ¥6,000. The meal included appetizers, chicken skin, assorted sashimi with Kyushu soy sauce, seared chicken thigh, yuba sashimi, plum-flavored chicken, sudachi soba, kuzu tofu, Satsuma Chiran chicken charcoal grill, charcoal-grilled chicken rice, and mango pudding. I knew about Kawadaya since I was a child, but for some reason, I never went there. Finally, I went with a friend for lunch and the tofu, charcoal-grilled chicken, and mango pudding were all delicious. I regret not coming here sooner. If you go with someone who hasn't been to Kawadaya, they will definitely want to come back again. The mango pudding tends to sell out quickly, so it's best to go early. The yuzu sherbet is also tasty with real yuzu fruit in it. It can get busy due to its popularity, but that's just part of being a popular restaurant. Outside, there are seasonal flowers blooming, making it a lovely place to visit.

I went to a popular restaurant where reservations are required to eat local chicken. As soon as it opened, customers started coming in one after another. We started with a pre-dinner drink, followed by various dishes such as small appetizers, raw chicken sashimi, grilled chicken thigh, tofu with mushrooms, chicken rice, and charcoal-grilled Kagoshima local chicken. The portions were generous and I was stuffed. The taste of the chicken in each dish was amazing. The soba noodles were hand-made in the restaurant, and the chicken rice was cooked in a traditional hearth. They kindly wrapped up the leftovers for me. Katsuragi Course ¥6000 First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The view from the restaurant is fantastic. The interior is calm and has a nice atmosphere where time flows slowly. Enjoying Japanese cuisine in this location really brings out the flavors. As you can see, the dishes served are all high quality. Don't underestimate it just because it's a bit far from the city center. Some people need that kind of relaxed time to spend with their loved ones. I went to try the rumored delicious chicken rice in Fujiidera. The takeout chicken rice that can be cooked at home was apparently ranked first in the "Saturday Plus" order ranking. I made a reservation on a weekday, but there was already a line in front of the store before the opening at 11:30 am! The weather was nice, and the cherry blossoms in the nearby park were in full bloom, so it seemed particularly crowded. Once seated, the view from the large window was great, overlooking the mountains in the distance. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also very nice. It was truly the perfect location! This time, I had the "Katsuragi Course" for 6000 yen. There are lunch options starting from 1750 yen, but only the Katsuragi and Kongou courses come with charcoal-grilled chicken rice. The course included: - Aperitif - Small appetizers - Chicken sashimi - Grilled chicken thigh - Sashimi tofu - Ume-dori soy sauce stew - Nameko soba - Kuzu tofu with bean paste - Charcoal-grilled chicken rice - Satsuma Chiran chicken charcoal-grilled - Coffee It was a chicken feast from the small appetizers! The chicken sashimi served first was delicious, and it got me excited. I enjoyed the tofu and soba as palate cleansers before savoring everything until the end. The store is very spacious with private rooms where you can relax comfortably. You can enjoy the view of Mount Kongou right in front of you, and receive healing just a short distance from Osaka. The Kagoshima chicken has a wonderful texture and flavor, making it worth the effort of taking a taxi from the station to come here.

I often use it for lunch! Even if you go right after opening, you can get in, but you have to wait a bit because they prioritize reservations. It gets really crowded on weekends, so you have to wait quite a bit, so reservations are a must!! I recommend ordering the mini course and individual charcoal-grilled items! The charcoal-grilled dishes are excellent, so be sure to order them!!

The tofu has a strong bean flavor and the soy sauce is delicious, it's my favorite. I wish they would sell it. There's also tataki next to the charcoal-grilled local chicken bento, so you can enjoy it in different ways. You can savor the deliciousness of the local chicken! Dessert is also included. This time I had mango pudding, but I want to try a different menu next time. It's best to make a reservation or arrive early for lunch as there can be a wait. The portion is more than it looks, and for some reason, it makes you want to go back to the restaurant again.

I knew about this shop for a while. This time, I was looking for a place to relax in Tomitani and Kawachinagano, and ended up visiting here. The shop is located on a small hill and seems to have been created with the idea of wanting to have a place like this. They boast about the natural surroundings, and indeed, the atmosphere of the shop is like a countryside modern style. The menu seemed to focus on hot pots and soups, but since I was dining with someone for the second time, we decided to order a la carte instead. All the dishes were delicious. Kawataya! Katsuragi Course! I visited a bird cuisine restaurant in Tomitani! The Katsuragi Course includes a full course of chicken dishes! There is also charcoal grilling which is great! Personally, I loved the sweet and sour stewed chicken skin and sashimi yuba! The chicken skin is low in fat, chewy and crunchy! It has a sweet and slightly soy sauce flavor which is interesting! Moreover, it is rare to find a restaurant serving sashimi yuba! The creamy texture of yuba melts in your mouth and it has a refreshing soybean aftertaste! The charcoal grilling has a strong aroma and when you eat it, the charcoal flavor spreads in the chicken dish! Thank you for the delicious meal! I ordered the Katsuragi Course (5000 yen), and each dish was just delicious!! The chicken was so crispy and fresh in every dish! Everything was incredibly tasty, but especially the charcoal-grilled chicken and charcoal-grilled chicken rice were out of this world. The view was also nice, so eating while looking outside made the food taste even better! There is also a terrace seat, which may be perfect for a cool and pleasant time! I ordered a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, which was also easy to drink and delicious. In the end, I was too full, but they offered to pack the chicken rice for takeout, and the staff kindly packed it for me! When my kids tried it, they also praised it as delicious!! It was so delicious that I regret not having discovered it earlier. Grilled with charcoal, the texture and umami of the "Satsuma Chiran chicken" mixed with rice cooked in a clay pot is simply elegant.
