I visited for the first time during lunchtime after the state of emergency was lifted. It was almost full even during lunchtime. I ordered a seafood bowl and shumai. I waited for about 10 minutes. I was very satisfied with the hearty seafood bowl. It felt like I was eating mostly sashimi. I was happy to have a variety of menu options to choose from based on my mood that day. I was impressed by the chef's ability to satisfy customers not only at night but also during the day.

Today I found rock oysters in the fish tank! I immediately tried them. The shells and the meat inside are large. The meat is creamy and goes well with alcohol. I plan to visit this place regularly. Ishii at Kashii Teruha. It may seem like a regular seafood izakaya, but the cost performance is great and highly recommended.

Today's squid is from Yamaguchi Prefecture, previously it was from Tsushima. The size of the former was larger, but the taste was also different. It was sweet and had a deep flavor. "Located in Chinatown, the renowned restaurant "Ishioi" is now run by the head chef at a seafood izakaya called Teruha. The restaurant is located on the first floor of his home. If there are live squid swimming in the tank, be sure to order them. They make fresh squid sashimi. The sashimi platter is also excellent. I walked into the restaurant without a reservation and all the seats were full. I finally managed to find a spot at the slightly empty counter in this bustling restaurant. The tables in the back were all occupied by families. The first thing I ordered was the restaurant's famous shumai, which looked so delicious and tasted even better that I forgot to take a photo. I was amazed by the generous portion of abalone, so sweet and tender that I couldn't finish it on my own. The live squid sashimi was fresher and more delicious than anywhere else I've had it. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant!

Sunday is their day off because they cannot go to the market to buy fresh ingredients, which shows their commitment to freshness. I have been going there since they were in Kurumoncho, and whenever I bring friends from Kanto or other prefectures, they are always delighted and want to come back. I highly recommend the pre-order Sabazushi (which I believe was 950 yen) and the Anago sashimi. They just opened on June 3rd, but the head chef has moved here from Teruha, so the taste remains delicious. If someone asks you to take them to a place with delicious fish in Hakata, this is definitely the place to recommend! They serve high-quality fish like a luxury restaurant, but it's wallet-friendly, so your friends will be very pleased.
