On April 23, 2023, I suddenly felt like eating yakitori and went out with a friend. We made a reservation online for 4:00 PM on Sunday, with a 10% discount on counter seats using a coupon. The restaurant provided paper towels and ashtrays, orders were placed through a smartphone, and there were separate restrooms for men and women. We started with a toast with draft beer. We ordered yakitori (negima, skin, tsukune, bonjiri, kokoro, pork and asparagus rolls), oden (daikon radish, grilled tofu, mochi pouches), chicken karaage, and french fries. For drinks, we had shochu with hot water, and chilled junmai sake. The food was decently delicious, and they had a good selection of sake, but the staff didn't greet us or say thank you, which was a bit disappointing. We paid with PayPay. Thank you for the meal!

For dinner today, I went to Ginjo in Umeda with my work colleagues. It was my first time visiting, and we chose the 5,500 yen course with 2.5 hours of all-you-can-drink. We enjoyed delicious yakitori, chicken tataki, assorted sashimi, and meat sushi. It was a luxurious meal where we could enjoy both meat and fish dishes. The private room felt a bit cramped and hot, but the food and drinks were delicious. I would like to visit again if I have the chance! The variety of sake, beer, and shochu was great. It was the best cost performance.

I went to GinSuke near Loft in Umeda Chayamachi and the yakitori was delicious! The beer, Nekko Nantoka, was also tasty! The quality of the food overall is high. The oden is reasonably priced and budget-friendly. On the other hand, you can also enjoy high-end sake. It seems they also offer all-you-can-eat yakitori.

Private Room Charcoal and Sake Gensuke Umeda Store @ Osaka City Kita-ku Chayamachi About 2 minutes walk from Osaka Umeda Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Main Line, it is a private room charcoal and sake Gensuke Umeda store. A drinking party with someone special. Are you the type who prefers to sit side by side in the restaurant, or do you prefer a private room where you can face each other without worrying about others? Personally, I was thinking that there was no one who would accompany me for a drink, let alone someone special, but then I realized that the world is not such a bad place after all. A kind person who is willing to drink with me said it's fine, and requested for yakitori, so I looked up a nice place on Tabelog with my smartphone and found this place. The restaurant is on the second floor of an izakaya called "Yokachan," and you go up the stairs. Inside, there are nice semi-private rooms that feel like snow caves. There is also a counter where you can see the kitchen through the glass. We were guided to sit at the counter surrounding the drink area (not a drink bar) in the middle of the restaurant. It's just the right size for two people to sit, and it seems like it would be a nice atmosphere for lovers... The retro vibe is strong, huh!? The craft beer of the day was already sold out on a weekday, so I settled for Kirin Lager, which I like. Cheers. My companion started with a non-alcoholic beer. The appetizer was shredded daikon radish for 300 yen. The appetizer is shredded dried radish with a strong seasoning that goes well with beer. The sashimi platter with 5 types for 690 yen. It includes tsubasu, maguro, tai, isaki, and sawara. Tsubasu, which is close to white fish with a mild and slightly sweet taste, is a fish that changes its name from hamachi to mejiro to buri as it grows. Isaki, which is said to be in season in early summer, but the ones caught in Kanto have fat even in this season. Sawara, which is slightly sweet despite being light, is a fish that changes its name from sagoshi to nagi to sawara as it grows. Kawahagi sashimi for 500 yen. A unique fish that is delicious in both summer and winter, with the body being delicious in summer and the liver being delicious in winter. The texture is firm and fresh, a sign of freshness. Liver sashimi for 650 yen. A variety of raw dishes... Freshness guaranteed. When you crush it with your tongue, the liver's characteristic thick and sweet taste spreads. There is no smell, so this thick cut is just right... Yakitori for 530 yen. I love Chinese cuisine so much that I think my ancestors might have been immigrants from the continent... Especially when it comes to ma la flavor... Ma la tofu and this yakitori are dishes I always crave... Yakitori that makes you drool. It means "mouthwatering chicken" when written in English, and it's so delicious that it makes you drool. Gensuke's version has a smooth ma la sauce, not the thick type. The mountain pepper-based spiciness is just right, with the chili pepper adding a punch. Cucumber with miso topping for 420 yen. Sliced cucumbers with miso topping are common, but Gensuke's version is mixed together. The garnish is also mixed in, making it a light chopstick rest. Juyondai Origarami for 1,200 yen. A junmai ginjo sake bottled without filtration at the stage of squeezing by Takagi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. in Murayama City, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a fresh sake that is roughly squeezed, so it has a slight fizziness and you can taste the original richness and sweetness of the rice directly. The female staff who seems very busy in the drink area and is managing it alone poured it in front of us. This female staff ==========

I had a meal at the charcoal izakaya "Ginsuke" near Loft in Chayamachi. We were guided to a cave-like private room and enjoyed our meal while chatting comfortably. The "Yodare chicken" made with fresh local chicken was slightly spicy and generous in portion. The sashimi platter includes 5 types of seasonal fish. We wanted to eat vegetables, so we tried the recommended warm Namul platter with 5 varieties of vegetables. It was delicious to enjoy vegetables this way. The grilled vegetables included yam, shishito pepper, and shiitake mushrooms. They were tender and flavorful with soy sauce and shichimi. Of course, we also had yakitori. The charcoal-grilled assorted skewers were delicious with a smoky flavor. Lastly, we tried the "One Match" dessert, which was a unique salted vanilla ice cream. It had a light and refreshing taste. I recommend having a girls' night out in a private room, or sitting at the counter seat where you can see the open kitchen and a wide selection of sake.

I went to GinSuke Umeda near Loft in Umeda. The restaurant has several private rooms, which was great for two girls who wanted to chat without feeling self-conscious. They have a wide selection of Japanese sake. - Downtown Vice Sour: 350 yen - Drooling Chicken: 530 yen - Assorted Sashimi: 690 yen per person - Assorted Tempura Skewers: 600 yen - Grilled Vegetables (Lotus Root, Yam, Bell Pepper, Shiitake Mushroom): 350 yen each - Warm Namul Assortment: 590 yen - Salted Vanilla Ice Cream: 360 yen The private room allowed us to relax and have a leisurely conversation. Whether you drink alcohol or not, this place offers a variety of food options and you can enjoy a relaxing meal in the private room.

A Japanese sake bar located a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda Station. Although they advertise private rooms, there are also many counter seats, giving an open and inviting impression. The main attraction here is the selection of sake chosen by a sake sommelier from 47 prefectures in Japan. The prices listed are for 90mL servings, but you can also order half sizes, making it easy to try out different sake. I started with a Kirin Lager (500 yen) for a toast. I love Kirin Lager, and it's become rare to find it lately, so I was happy! The standout dish was the simmered taro. Today, the focus was on sake, so I ordered a few grilled vegetables to enjoy the ingredients. I tried the crunchy lotus root (350 yen), yam (350 yen), and fresh Yagenji red peppers (350 yen) with plenty of bonito flakes. I started with "Niwano Bijin Autumn Squeezed" (half/260 yen). Of course, I also had a chaser of shochu highball (laughs). I asked for a mixed assortment of oden. The radish (150 yen), rolled omelette (160 yen), burdock tempura (150 yen), and wiener sausage (150 yen) were all delicious! The kimchi made from fresh Chinese cabbage (430 yen) was a great snack. The plump and grilled specialty meatball (with sauce/250 yen) is a must-try dish! For the finale, I had "Sawayamatsumoto" (half/240 yen) and pork and lettuce shabu-shabu (1 serving/1180 yen). With a mountain of crispy lettuce, tonight was another happy night.

On the way back from a trip to Kobe, I met up with a friend in Osaka and decided to have a drink at Gin-Suke in Umeda, Osaka. The spacious restaurant has tatami, table, and counter seats. We started with a Kirin Lager (500 yen) for a toast! The appetizer was simmered taro, which had a gentle homemade flavor. For oden, we had daikon (150 yen), tamagoyaki (160 yen), gobou tempura (150 yen), and wiener sausage (150 yen). The tamagoyaki was simple but delicious, similar to dashimaki tamago. The specialty tsukune (250 yen) was the size of a hamburger, and we enjoyed it with egg yolk. The sweetness of the sauce was a perfect match. For the second drink, we had fresh lemon sour (450 yen) and enjoyed renkon-yaki (350 yen) and yamaimo-yaki (350 yen) with coarse bonito flakes. The man-ganji togarashi (350 yen) was not as spicy as expected, with a flavor similar to green peppers. The next drink was Nioi no Uguisu (260 yen) and we tried the Fukuoka Instant Kimchi (430 yen), which had a addictive spicy kick. We were also served a complimentary aged sake, Oniryu. We then had Ho-oh Mitama Hatsusori (250 yen) and ordered shabu-shabu lettuce (1180 yen) with less meat and more lettuce. The fresh, crunchy lettuce paired perfectly with the deep flavor of the soup. Lastly, we had Sawayamatsu Moto (240 yen). We may have indulged a bit too much in the sake, but we should be able to sleep well on the Shinkansen ride back. Thank you for the feast.

An oasis in the city. This is how I felt at the restaurant "Ginsuke" in the Umeda Chayamachi area. Tucked away in a hidden alley, this place truly felt like a hidden gem. As we walked through the quiet alley, we found the entrance to the restaurant on the second floor. We started with a toast of draft beer, which was Kirin Lager. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and we decided to try the adult-style cold tofu with plenty of pickled vegetables on top, and the chicken mentaiko mayo which was surprisingly delicious. We also couldn't resist ordering some charcoal-grilled skewers, such as leek-wrapped chicken and bonjiri. The homemade chicken meatballs in spicy miso sauce were a must-try dish, bursting with juicy flavors. We also enjoyed a seafood hot pot with fish, shellfish, and shrimp, which was perfect for the upcoming season. The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. The restaurant also had a wide selection of Japanese sake from different prefectures. Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. We will definitely be back to try the sake next time.

Osaka Umeda Chayamachi. After enjoying some sweets, I was craving something salty, so I decided to visit this place. Sometimes the best restaurants are hidden on the 2nd floor or even in the basement, so I went without a reservation! The appetizer was stewed chicken and small taro. Just what I was looking for! I toasted with jasmine tea, while my friend had a pink cocktail. I had a refill of oolong tea, served in a small bottle. The charcoal-grilled skewers were delicious, especially the salted chicken liver. The skewers were small but packed with flavor. I also tried the shrimp toast, which was tasty with or without dipping sauce. The cheese-stuffed meatball skewer was a standout dish. It was juicy and flavorful. I also enjoyed the assorted oden, especially the soft-boiled egg. The light miso cucumber was a refreshing dish. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish with the rice, but I left satisfied.

Today I went out for dinner with a friend, and I left the choice of restaurant up to them. I was a bit busy and didn't have time to look for a place to eat. They made a reservation at a place called Sumisuke, which serves charcoal-grilled food and Japanese sake. The restaurant is located in a busy area near Chayamachi, just off a narrow alley next to NU Chayamachi. I didn't even know this narrow alley existed, but there are many food and drink establishments crowded together there. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats and semi-private table seats. The weather was hot and humid, so we quickly ordered drinks. We started with a bubbly fruit sour, which was a refreshing choice for the ladies. It had frozen fruits and sparkling wine, making it visually appealing and delicious. The food was diverse and plentiful, with options like cheese fondue and all-you-can-eat yakitori courses. We ordered various dishes from the a la carte menu, including old-fashioned potato salad, addictive sliced bell peppers, homemade enoki mushrooms, and a warm namul platter. The chicken karaage with sansho pepper sauce was a standout, elevating the dish to a more mature level. We also enjoyed dishes like cheese tempura chikuwa, tsukune meatballs, and oden with potatoes, rolled cabbage, and konjac. The momo tataki had a firm texture and was delicious with a sesame oil and salt dip. The liver sashimi was cut into large pieces, offering a rich and crispy experience. The fresh fish namero was smooth and fluffy, without any unpleasant odor. We also tried the Oze's snowmelt sake, which had a light and easy-to-drink taste. The pickled mackerel with ginger was a unique combination that brought out new flavors. Despite only being two people, we ended up ordering a lot of food, but the portions were small and reasonably priced, so we managed to finish everything. The extensive menu and affordable prices made us want to try a variety of dishes. In the end, we were able to enjoy everything we ordered, thanks to our big appetites. The wide selection of Japanese sake also added to the overall experience.

【Visit in September 2019】Today we went to Umeda for dinner. We wanted to eat delicious yakitori, so we came to this restaurant. It's called Sumibi to Nihonshu Ginsuke-san!! It's located in Umeda Chayamachi. This restaurant has private rooms on the second floor, which is great. ◇ Bubbly Fruit Sour (Mixed Berry) The name is so cute, right?! It's sparkling wine with mixed berries in it! ◆ Assorted Side Dishes The simmered dish in the set is delicious and comforting. ◆ Addictive Bell Pepper Thinly sliced bell peppers seasoned like namul. Are these raw bell peppers? They are delicious and I really liked them! ◆ Traditional Potato Salad A high stack of potato salad!! It's delicious and goes well with alcohol! ◆ Oden Potatoes, konjac, rolled omelette, and cabbage roll. Oden is perfect for this season! ◆ Chicken Liver Skewers I love these! ◆ Chicken Thigh Sashimi The chicken is delicious too! ◆ Pork-wrapped Tomato Pork-wrapped tomato is my favorite! ◆ Negima (Pork and Green Onion Skewers) I like the pork-wrapped green onion. It's juicy and delicious. ◆ Homemade Nameko Mushroom It's so delicious that I had to ask for the recipe. I tried making it the next day, but the one from the restaurant is way tastier. It's healthy and highly recommended. ◆ Pickled Mackerel with Ginger Pickled mackerel with ginger! It's my first time trying it, and the ginger flavor is strong but delicious. It's perfect for the lingering summer heat. ◆ Homemade Chicken Meatballs with Ponzu The meatballs are as big as a fist! Both are delicious, fluffy, and juicy. ◆ Warm Vegetable Namul Assortment The warm vegetables namul is served steaming hot. Everything is delicious! ◆ Namero (Minced Sashimi) When you have namero, you have to have sake! The namero here is really delicious. ◆ Chikuwa Cheese Tempura Tempura is a must! Chikuwa and cheese tempura with curry salt is a golden combination! ◆ Fried Chicken with Sansho Pepper Sauce It's not your average fried chicken! The sansho pepper adds a kick, making it enjoyable even when you're full. ◆ Fried Daikon Radish The fried daikon radish is incredibly delicious! The flavor is amazing, with the daikon being crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. ◇ Sake We ended the meal with sake, enjoying the conversation with friends. I had Kappa from Yamagata, a super dry sake, and my friend had Yukidoke from Gunma, which was easy to drink. Both were delicious. This restaurant has sake from all prefectures, making it very enjoyable! The dishes are not too large, so even with just two people, we were able to enjoy a variety of dishes. The fish is delicious, the chicken is tasty whether raw or grilled, the healthy menu is extensive, and it's a really great restaurant! The dishes are all carefully made and reasonably priced. I look forward to going back to enjoy the addictive bell pepper, nameko mushroom, namero, meatballs, and many other delicious dishes with sake♪

It is a restaurant I happened to find on Tabelog ☆ I made a reservation for 3 people and visited the restaurant. We were guided to a semi-private room seat. The semi-private room was very comfortable! There was a call button, but it was broken and when we tried to call for service, there was not much response. We were told that it was broken and we would have to call for service. A bit disappointing point... Moving on, we placed our order: Spicy gizzard salad, liver sashimi, chicken salad, pork-wrapped lettuce cheese, and una-tama (egg with eel). We also ordered some drinks. Everything we ate was delicious! The spicy gizzard salad had a crunchy texture with a spicy kick, perfect for pairing with drinks. Personally, I recommend this menu item. The chicken sashimi was fresh and had no unpleasant smell. The salad had a good amount of chicken in it, and you could really taste the presence of the chicken among the vegetables. The pork-wrapped lettuce cheese had cream cheese inside, and while I personally prefer melty cheese, it was still tasty when grilled. The una-tama was like a fluffy egg dish with eel pieces inside, which was satisfying. Overall, the restaurant seemed to offer delicious dishes no matter what you order. It is a great place for small to large groups. However, it was disappointing that the 30% discount coupon we presented at the time of reservation and upon arrival was not reflected in the final bill. I pay attention to these details because I am thrifty. Despite this, I would love to visit this restaurant again because the food and atmosphere were great! \(^o^)/

※This is a post from a blog♪ Blog URL: https://sibumi.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-5128.html Umeda, Chayamachi, a casual and trendy izakaya where you can enjoy chicken dishes, fresh seafood, and a wide selection of Japanese sake. Starting off with a refreshing draft beer, cheers to an early evening☆ Visit on August 2nd: Umeda, Chayamachi, a bit off the main street on the 2nd floor is "Charcoal Grill and Japanese Sake Ginjyo Umeda Branch." Still bright in the early evening, with counter seats and private rooms available! The semi-open atmosphere with a view of the counter was quite appealing♪ Starting with a Kirin Lager draft beer for 500 yen, the otoshi (appetizer) for 300 yen included sweet potato tempura and fish nanban-zuke, a great accompaniment! A classic izakaya dish, the potato salad for 390 yen was packed with flavor. The smooth and tender oil-cooked morning-pulled chicken liver for 580 yen was a recommended dish, absolutely delicious with no complaints! The assorted sashimi for 690 yen each, featuring Akou, Suzuki, Inada, Bin-naga maguro, and Yanagidako, was a combination of rich flavors. The daily fresh seafood delivery ensured exceptional freshness! To complement the meal, we enjoyed the Kido Junmai from Wakayama for 460 yen, a refreshing and delightful sake. The homemade chicken tsukune with grated daikon and ponzu sauce for 260 yen was simply delicious, no complaints there (laughs). The Hiroshima Amagino Tsuki Tokubetsu Junmai "Juusanya" for 680 yen was a smooth sake that went down easily. The chicken karaage with sansho pepper sauce for 600 yen was juicy and flavorful. The fresh fish namero for 530 yen was a perfect match for sake lovers. The shrimp toast for 480 yen, made by spreading shrimp paste on bread and frying it, was a favorite from a kwashi-yaki restaurant in Minami. This time, we didn't order the charcoal-grilled chicken or oden. Instead, we focused on the recommended dishes that stood out at this izakaya. Everything was delicious! Thank you for the feast☆ Reference Menu (taken with G7X): Charcoal Grill and Japanese Sake Ginjyo Umeda Branch 14-8 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka 06-6485-5340 Dinner: 17:00-24:00 Closed on New Year's Day and other irregular holidays

Went for drinks with a friend in Chayamachi, Umeda. Originally planned for a group of 4 but ended up just the two of us due to scheduling conflicts. We found a new restaurant that opened this spring. The interior had a large folk-style counter and private seating areas. We ordered: - Draft beer for ¥500, delicious and refreshing. - Appetizer for ¥300, tasty stewed vegetables. - Various skewers like pork-wrapped asparagus, tomato, lettuce cheese, etc. ranging from ¥180 to ¥240 per skewer. - Grilled chicken skewers like chicken thigh, breast, heart, etc. ranging from ¥130 to ¥150 per skewer. - "Drooling Chicken" for ¥530, recommended and spicy. - Sapporo Red Star beer for ¥550. - Chicken meatball with sauce for ¥230, a good deal. - Oolong tea for ¥350. - Fresh fish tartare for ¥530, made with salmon and other fresh fish. - Mutsu Hassen (Aomori) sake for ¥500, fruity and easy to drink. - Fatty liver in oil for ¥580, tender and slightly rare. - Spicy marinated gizzard for ¥450, similar to the "Drooling Chicken". - Bubbly Fruit Sour for ¥600, a sparkling wine with lemon and mixed berries. Overall, a cozy and affordable place for a drink in Umeda Chayamachi. Using coupons from the restaurant's website for all-you-can-drink would be a good deal. I should remember to use them next time. It was a delicious meal, thank you.

Today, we went to Umeda and enjoyed some delicious food and drinks at a place called "Sanchoku Koshitsu Taishu Sakaba Sumiyaki Ginsuke Umeda Store." It's located on the second floor of a traditional-style building. They offer craft beer as well, so we were excited to try it out. We started with a Kirin Lager draft beer for 500 yen. It was really good and you could tell that the glass was cleaned properly because the foam was fine and the beer rings were clean. We also tried the simmered vegetables for 300 yen, which included sweet potatoes, daikon radish, carrots, and chicken cooked in miso. It was delicious and you could even drink the broth. For food, we had pork-wrapped asparagus, spicy chicken, various types of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and a refreshing tomato wrapped in pork. Everything was tasty and well-prepared. We also tried the Akahoshi beer for 550 yen, which was a nice addition to the meal. Overall, the grilled dishes were well-cooked, and we enjoyed items like chicken heart, pork-wrapped tomato, lettuce and cheese, chicken skewers, and more. The homemade chicken meatball skewer was particularly delicious, and the sparkling wine cocktails with fruits were a refreshing choice. Additionally, we tried the smooth and oily liver simmered in sesame oil, which was a unique and tasty dish. It was a great dining experience with a good selection of food and drinks. We highly recommend this place for a casual and enjoyable meal.

Chicken, fish, appetizers, sake, and more. New face chicken and sake bar in Umeda! "Ginsuke" @ Osaka Umeda Monthly tradition, dinner and drinks with my mother. Tonight, we toast with chicken dishes! The place we visited was "Ginsuke," a new chicken and sake bar that opened in early May. Located in Umeda, Chayamachi, behind the "Step" shoe store, on the 2nd floor of a building. I don't come to this area often, but when I do, I see various changes happening around here. The interior of the restaurant, after climbing the stairs, consists of a main floor with counter seats, a small counter seat facing the kitchen, and surrounding table seats. The retro atmosphere, reminiscent of a renovated old house, is something I really like. We sat at a semi-private table seat and checked out the menu, which was available in pouches on the table and on the wall. The menu includes various chicken dishes, appetizers, sashimi, oden, and finishing dishes. We started with craft beer for a toast. The craft beer options change daily, and on this day, we had Jazz Berry and Dai Dai Ale, both fruity and delicious. We were served a radish and chicken simmered dish as a complimentary starter. It was comforting. We enjoyed a sashimi platter with five types of fresh fish, including tuna, yellowtail, kawahagi (with liver), red salmon, and sea bream. Each slice was thick and delicious. The homemade enoki mushroom dish was light and crunchy. The spicy gizzard salad had a mild spiciness and sweetness, perfect with sake. The simmered liver was smooth and rich, a must-try dish. We also tried various skewers, such as chicken skin, mushrooms, and pork wrapped with lettuce and cheese. The dishes were all tasty and well-presented. We took a break with sake and wine before enjoying fried dishes like daikon tempura and chicken karaage. The crispy fried dishes were flavorful and satisfying. We ended the meal with a refreshing pickled vegetable dish and a crispy grilled rice ball, followed by a fluffy egg over rice. It was a delightful dining experience with a variety of delicious dishes and drinks.

We were able to have a leisurely conversation in a private room, and our drinks arrived quickly after ordering. The food was decent, but the prices were reasonable, so it was not a problem. It was nice to catch up with old friends in a room that felt like a private space, allowing us to chat at our own pace.

I used it as a second place to visit. I ordered oden (eggs, daikon radish, chikuwa), raw liver, and shrimp toast. The raw liver and shrimp toast were delicious, but the daikon radish was a bit hard and had a strong smell, which was not to my liking. I thought the atmosphere would be a bit more calm, but it was lively due to the location in Chaya-machi. Well, that's okay too. Watching from the counter, the washing of the glasses seemed a bit rough, which made me a little worried.

The restaurant was not very crowded on a weekday. The food was well seasoned and of good quality, but I was a bit bothered by the attitude of the waitress. In short, she seemed a bit arrogant. I sat at the counter, and she splashed water around with a sponge without any consideration, almost as if she was doing it on purpose. I wish she would be more considerate. It's a shame that such good food is overshadowed by poor customer service.
