It had been a while since we last visited! I was excited to see what to order. My wife quickly decided on the "Cut & Hamburger Lunch" set. After some hesitation, I chose the "Extra-Large Cut Steak" with extra rice. A young male staff member kindly advised me that ordering the lunch set with extra rice would be cheaper than ordering a regular set with extra rice. Thank you! We placed our orders and waited. After about 15 minutes, our food arrived! It was the Gan'nen steak that I had been looking forward to! The 200g steak looked so appetizing. My wife's hamburger also looked delicious! Let's dig in. I dipped the meat in the steak sauce and took a bite. Wow, the meat was so delicious! It was different from Japanese beef but also different from cooking steak at home. The taste was just amazing! The extra rice was a great choice because it balanced out the amount of meat. My wife also enjoyed her meal. She mentioned that the lunch set came on a plate, so it cooled down quickly. It's not the same as cooking on a hot plate. We both finished our meals cleanly! Gan'nen is truly a great restaurant! The lunch set may be a bit pricey, over 1,000 yen, but considering the quality of the meat, it's worth it. It's a popular spot, so timing is important, but I would definitely come back regularly. The restaurant was relatively busy, but the wait time was shorter than expected. The rice was average, the miso soup was simple, and the cabbage side dish was ordinary. It's rare these days to find a restaurant where the sauce is already applied, as opposed to the DIY style like at home. The hamburger had a slightly different texture, not the trendy coarse ground type, nor the traditional fine-ground meatball type. It was surprisingly soft and fluffy, with a distinct beef flavor. There were pictures of cows on the wall, indicating a dedication to quality beef, which is expected from a steakhouse.

Most customers seem to choose the lunch menu, so I also went for the hamburger lunch set which came with a drink, rice, miso soup, and salad for a reasonable price. The hamburger was still as fluffy and delicious as ever. By the time I finished eating, there were already 3 groups waiting for a table. It's definitely a popular spot. While taking photos, the rice and miso soup were served. Isn't there too much rice and cabbage? The flat hamburger seemed small once you got used to it, but the thick steak was well cooked and had a rounded shape. Steak sauce and wasabi were provided as condiments, and using steak sauce enhanced the flavor of the cut steak, while eating it with wasabi gave a slightly luxurious feeling. The hamburger was thoroughly cooked inside, but the seasoning was light, so I relied on the steak sauce for flavor. The cabbage had a special mayonnaise-based dressing, but I might prefer regular mayonnaise. I feel like I ate half of the rice with cabbage. Finally, I drank the miso soup and said thank you for the meal. I think 1,100 yen is a good deal for this. If I have the chance to come again, I would like to try ordering a hearty steak next time.
