If it's 10/1, you won't forget it anymore, right? It's the familiar "Tenkaippin Day"♪ This year marks my 6th year participating in "Tenkaippin Day" (^_^;) I visited the Kizure Urahappa store in 2014, the Sakai Higashi store in 2015, the Suminoe store in 2016, the Sakai Higashi store again in 2017, and the Sakai Higashi store in 2018. Since I've been to the Sakai Higashi store for two years in a row, I decided to visit a different store this year, so I went to the Matsubara Miyake store in Matsubara City. The store is located along the main road National Route 309, so there were many staff members guiding the customers to the parking lot. The Matsubara Miyake store is one of the older stores of Tenkaippin in Osaka. Despite being a suburban-style store, it is quite small. It's like a small box, but the store is long and narrow, giving it a unique feel. The interior of the store is also small. There are about 5 counter seats and 5 tables, so it can accommodate around 30 people when full. I visited the store around 5:30 pm. At that time, there was some space available as customers were coming and going, but more and more people were entering, making the turnover of customers quite intense. As a solo diner, I was seated at the counter. The store was operating with a special menu for Tenkaippin Day. This was my third visit to the Matsubara Miyake store, and I noticed that the price of the main "Kotteri Ramen Regular" has been steadily increasing. The first time I visited in 2012, it was 680 yen, then in 2016, it was 720 yen, and yesterday it was a whopping 780 yen!! Isn't that a bit too expensive? With the 2% consumption tax increase starting today, did they raise the price as well? The decorations inside the store were quite simple for Tenkaippin Day. The Sakai Higashi store was more extravagant in the past. I ordered the "Kotteri Regular," as usual. Tenkaippin has both red and white bowls, and this store uses the traditional white bowl. The noodles are the classic square-shaped medium-thick noodles. Some stores offer a thinner noodle option, but I prefer the traditional noodles. The noodles are slightly firmer than before, which seems to be a trend at Tenkaippin stores. The soup is not as thick as other Tenkaippin stores, but it still coats the noodles well. The soup had a strong garlic flavor, which was highlighted by the red ingredient. I'm not sure if this was included by default or because I requested extra garlic. The chashu was a round slice, which is rare for Tenkaippin. The menma was not visible in the photo, but there were about 10 pieces hidden under the noodles, giving the impression of extra menma. I finished the ramen easily, as always! But Tenkaippin's kotteri ramen is always delicious♪(^O^)/Of course, I also received this free voucher! It's valid for 2 months starting today... I always struggle to decide when and where to use it.
