Visited Goncha Umeda Chayamachi store for the first time. Ordered SUN Sunshine Muscat Yogurt Frozen Tea (630 yen) through mobile order and went to pick it up. Although it doesn't have as vibrant colors as shown in the menu photo, the taste was great. Goncha's limited-time fruit jellies never disappoint, which is nice. The frozen tea had a strong muscat flavor, so the yogurt flavor wasn't very noticeable, but it was refreshing and easy to drink. The muscat jelly had juicy Kyoho grape pulp in it, which was delicious! I took a photo of the cute illustrations inside the store. The service was efficient and left a good impression. I'm interested in trying the Yogur Milk Tea and Tea Aide next time, so I would like to come back again.

After finishing work in the evening in Umeda, I wanted something cold to drink before heading home. I happened to pass by Gong Cha in Chayamachi, where there used to be long lines but this time it was relatively empty, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Ice Ali Shan Oolong Milk Tea (Size M, including tax 510 yen) and was asked about my preferences: sweetness level (zero/less/normal/more), ice (yes/no, +80 yen), and toppings (up to 3, +80 yen each): pearls (tapioca), nata de coco, aloe, milk foam, ruby (Hokkaido red bean, limited time only). I chose less sweetness, ice, and tapioca toppings. The drink arrived in less than 5 minutes after ordering, and it was delicious. The tea was flavorful and the tapioca had a good texture. It was a great way to relax after a long day at work. I look forward to trying different teas next time. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Umeda for the first time in a long time for shopping. I was surprised to see no line in front of the popular Gong Cha store, so I decided to go in. I ordered the Black Milk Tea S (370 yen) and Pineapple Cake (150 yen). The milk tea had a strong tea flavor and was delicious. The pineapple cake tasted just like the ones I had in Taiwan. I will definitely try different tea flavors next time.

I used to go there often after school! There always seems to be a line. The staff are busy guiding and serving customers when it's crowded, but they are always polite. The taste is delicious and the tapioca pearls are just right in hardness. They also write messages on the drinks every time, which gets me excited! 😊

I ordered a matcha milk tea with tapioca topping. It was sweet and delicious. I like Gong Cha's tapioca the best. I ordered a short size, but ended up with just tapioca left at the end. I should have gone with the usual medium size, haha. My friend ordered a hot drink. Hot drinks are nice in the cold winter, too. Thank you for the meal.

I came to check the temperature of the hot drink at Gong Cha, it's Alice here, nice to meet you. I ordered a Black Milk Tea with hot tapioca topping. I was warned that the tapioca is hot, so I proceeded with caution. The drink was served with a straw, but I was advised not to poke it in yet. I took a sip and found that the milk tea was at a normal temperature. I wanted to eat the tapioca, so I finally used the straw. It was indeed hot. I was a bit too early. The container was sturdy and I felt safe drinking a hot drink from it. The taste was delicious, as expected. It would be great if they offered temperature options like Coco Toco. ♪♫♩ ♪♫♩ ♪♫♩♪ I appreciate your follow, comments, and likes ( ´∀`) Feel free to click on the thumbs up button☆

Gong Cha, famous for its tapioca milk tea, always has long lines, so I had given up on going. Today, I happened to pass by and the line was short! I hurried to line up and made a purchase. I got the milk foam black tea with pearls, normal sweetness, and less ice. The milk tea was delicious! The tapioca had a nice chewy texture.

I came to Ume Tapi from an unsatisfactory tapioca place on the weekend. I decided to go to Gong Cha for a change. There was a line of about 20 people on weekdays, but since you order in advance, it moves quickly. This time, I ordered a Wulong Milk Tea with a little sugar tapioca topping, less ice, in a small size. The fact that they have a small size is great, it costs 475 yen. I thought it was delicious before, but it's still delicious... The tapioca is chewy, not overly sweet, the tea flavor is strong, it's the best... When you drink something delicious, it's the blessing of cassava... All the stress disappears...♪♫♩ ♪♫♩ ♪♫♩♪ I'm happy to receive follows, comments, and likes ( ´∀`) Feel free to click on them☆

I love tapioca, so my rating may be a bit biased. I've had tapioca drinks in places like overseas and Tokyo, but Gong Cha is consistently delicious! However, the line in Umeda is always too long. (laughs) I used to go there before the coronavirus outbreak. I would line up every morning and evening. My favorite here is the Taro Milk Tea. Even if you ask for less sweetness, it's still quite sweet, so less sweet is enough. The tapioca pearls are soft and chewy. They are of a normal size, I guess? The staff at the store were efficient, but maybe there are just too many customers? Even though there may be some waiting, it's around 15 minutes in the evening, so it's tolerable!

I visited Goncha Umeda Chayamachi store. This is a shop where there is always a line forming outside. It seems like there are lines during both lunch and dinner time. They offer 4 base tea options: Jasmine Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea, and Ali Shan Oolong Tea. You can choose the sweetness, amount of ice, toppings, etc. Of course, they also have the classic Milk Tea. The M size is slightly larger, but the S size is also satisfying. Thank you for the meal. The classic choice for tapioca is Gong Cha! I always love topping it with their milk foam. Topping it with milk foam gives it a smooth and delicious taste! You can drink just the milk foam, just the tea, or mix them together for different variations. It feels like a win-win with so many options to enjoy!

In August 2019, after finishing some errands in Umeda, I met up with my wife. Despite the intense heat, we found ourselves in a long line. It seems that tapioca is really popular now, as everyone was taking photos. The line moved quickly, and we only waited for about 10 minutes. I only took one sip of the tapioca milk tea, but the unique texture was addictive! It had a dessert-like sweetness. It was nice to be able to jump on the trend a little. Thank you for the meal.

The line was not as long as before, but still quite long. However, it moved quickly so I didn't have to wait much. It took 17 minutes from the back of the building to place an order. There were very few seats for dining in, so most people ended up getting takeout. I only ordered smoothies because it was hot, but the tea itself was delicious. Surprisingly, it didn't melt easily and lasted a long time. The Iron Goddess Milk Tea Smoothie with Milk Foam and the Black Milk Tea with tapioca were both delicious.

At the end of July, during the summer vacation period, I visited the place on a weekday at 2 pm. There was always a long line whenever I passed by, so I was prepared to wait in the scorching sun. When I arrived, there were fewer people in line than I expected! Lucky! I started queuing and after about 15 minutes, I placed my order at the register. I ordered a Black Milk Tea with pearls (tapioca, +70 yen) as a topping, in a medium size with less ice and maximum sweetness. It cost 529 yen including tax. It was a very sweet milk tea. The tapioca pearls were larger compared to those from Chun Shui Tang. The sweetness of the tapioca itself was the same. My friend had opted for less sweetness, and compared to the maximum sweetness, the tea flavor stood out more.

Gong Cha, a popular tapioca shop, offers sizes S, M, and L (L for ice only) with the option to choose the amount of ice. Tapioca is an additional cost of +70 yen as it does not come included. I went in the early afternoon on a weekday and there were about 10 people inside and around 20 people lined up along the wall outside. I only had to wait for about 10 minutes. It was my first time at this shop, so I wanted to go with the classic milk tea, but the jasmine green tea caught my eye, so I got that with tapioca added. The tapioca was on the larger side and slightly chewy. The shop was always busy, but the drink was delicious. The seating inside is limited, so be prepared to drink outside during peak times. Don't forget your umbrella on hot days!

Finally went to Gong Cha, it's Alice here, greetings! After finishing work on a weekday around 6 pm, there were about 40 people in line. But the notable thing is that the line moves quickly. I noticed once inside that there are many people making the drinks. I see... since I came all the way to Gong Cha, I added tapioca and milk foam to my milk tea. I heard that the milk foam isn't sweet. They sprinkled matcha powder on top, making it look nice. I placed my order, paid, and finally received my drink. I also bought a pineapple cake at the register. The milk foam isn't sweet indeed, but it's strong... like whipped cream or coffee creamer... next time I'll go for the regular one. I always regret adding toppings, but I never learn... the sweetness of the less sugar is just right. Going to different places, I realize that my ideal taste would be a black tea flavor with the right amount of sweetness and tapioca with a hint of brown sugar flavor. ♪♫♩ ♪♫♩ ♪♫♩♪ I appreciate your follow, comments, and likes ( ´∀`) Feel free to keep clicking ☆

I tried the popular tapioca drink for the first time. I visited on a Saturday around 3 pm and waited in line for about 40-50 minutes. The back of the store is shaded, so it wasn't too bad. The security guard even provided me with a parasol. A staff member took my order halfway through the line and gave me a slip of paper. I handed it in at the counter, paid, and then waited for my number to be called. There are only a few round tables inside, so most people are sitting outside. I ordered a large Jasmine Green Tea with light sweetness, regular ice, milk foam, and tapioca toppings. The jasmine flavor was strong, and it seemed like they used high-quality tea leaves. The level of sweetness was just right for me. As for the tapioca, it was incredibly chewy and a large portion. I think about 1/3 of the amount would have been perfect. Overall, the tea was delicious, and I would go back even without the tapioca. The wait time is long, so I recommend treating it like waiting in line for a ride at an amusement park. The staff work efficiently despite the crowd. Thank you for the meal.

Asia's largest Taiwanese tea cafe with 1400 stores worldwide. When I went to Taiwan, I was most impressed by the deliciousness of the tea, so I decided to try the popular tapioca milk tea at this constantly crowded shop. The line was mostly women, occasionally there were couples. The store was stylish, and all the staff were young and beautiful women. I remember seeing some comments online that people didn't like it when older men made tapioca milk tea, so I guess that's how it is at these kinds of shops. The company made efforts to make the staff feel more approachable, like writing a heart on the receipt when handing it to you. It seems like they took a page from Starbucks.
Personal tea ranking: You can choose the sweetness, amount of ice, and toppings. The tea itself is delicious, so you can enjoy it even without toppings. I would like to drop by on a hot day... if there wasn't a line, though lol
1st place: Black Milk Tea with pearls, a classic combination. The straw is wide, making it easy to drink the tapioca.
2nd place: Alishan Oolong Tea, a refreshing drink. The tea itself has a good flavor.
3rd place: Honey Milk Tea, with a hint of honey, not much different from the classic milk tea.
4th place: Lychee Alishan Tea, Lychee flavor that women might like. Personally, I'm not a fan.
Personal dim sum ranking:
1st place: Pineapple Cake, a classic Taiwanese treat. I hadn't had it in a while, but it was delicious with a simple taste.
2nd place: Mango Cake, similar in texture and taste except for the mango inside.

During my tapioca activity, I went to Gong Cha in Umeda Chayamachi. Despite it being a weekday, there was a line of young people... Or maybe only young people were there because it was a weekday? I decided to line up leisurely while thinking about that. The line was like Disneyland, going around in circles (just 2 laps), but the turnover was fast, so the waiting time was shorter than expected. About 15 minutes, I guess? You can choose the type of drink, sweetness level, amount of ice, toppings, and size. If you choose to have no ice, there is an additional charge. I ordered black milk tea with less sweetness, less ice, and small tapioca. The sweetness was just right, and the tapioca was chewy and the perfect size, so it was great! However, my joy was short-lived as the staff's way of inserting the straw was a bit clumsy, causing a large hole to open up and the milk tea to spill all over my expensive white denim when I tilted it slightly... Fortunately, I was wearing a thin coat, so I was able to button it up to cover the spill, but I need to be careful when drinking. Despite that, it was delicious, so I would like to go again if I have the chance. The tapioca activity continues...

I was told by a friend that they sometimes have free time, so when I passed by the store and saw only one line outside, I decided to go in. The honey milk tea was moderately sweet with less ice, but I realized it's not a tapioca specialty store as I had mistakenly thought. They also offer toppings like nata de coco and aloe, and you can also get it without any toppings. The taste was just okay, nothing extraordinary. However, I'm not sure if it's worth waiting in line for so long. And for some reason, it tasted like black honey kinako (roasted soybean flour) (laughs). There are many places around Umeda where you can't bring in drinks from outside, so I found myself wanting to go to a different shop to have black honey kinako pudding instead (laughs).
