The well-known Ise specialty, Akafuku, is also sold in Nagoya, but surprisingly, it is also available in Osaka. I recently tried the popular black sugar and white bean Akafuku mochi, which has been receiving attention on Instagram. The taste was as expected from Akafuku, delicious. It had a different taste compared to the regular Akafuku mochi, but both the white and black versions were tasty. The white one had a light taste different from the usual red bean paste, and the black one had a light taste of black sugar, which was satisfying. I had the Sakufuku mochi from Akafuku. It is sold by Akafuku on the 1st of every month. Here is what I know about the Sakufuku mochi: ◎Can only be purchased by those who have made reservations in advance (web only for Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store) ◎Only sold on the 1st of each month ◎Menu changes every month ◎Even if you have made a reservation, you still have to line up to pick it up. This time, in February, they used black beans for Setsubun-themed daifuku, with kinako mochi. The inside is technically red bean paste, but it's mostly smooth anko. It was delicious, but personally, I prefer regular Akafuku.

I bought a souvenir box of 8 Akafuku at Hankyu Umeda, a famous shop in Mie, because my family loves it. It costs 800 yen. The box contains 8 Akafuku for souvenirs. The smooth red bean paste and soft mochi have a delicious taste. Since they are not individually wrapped, it can be a bit difficult to share, but the familiar taste of Akafuku in Kansai is something I occasionally crave.

It is rare in Osaka. It was released just a year ago, but I heard that it was only available for purchase in some local areas such as Ise and Nagoya. This time, I found it at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store. It is also available at Hanshin Department Store Main Store, Takashimaya Osaka Store, and Kintetsu Abeno Harukas Store. The black one clearly tastes like black sugar. The white one has a taste of red bean, and the difference in taste between white and black is clear. The freshly made Akafuku mochi (with normal sweet red bean paste) that you can enjoy with green tea at the main store is exceptional. It feels different from a souvenir. Please try it once in front of the Inner Shrine. Unfortunately, "Ise Dayori" was not included.

I had the Shokujitsu mochi. I made an internet reservation in advance, so I was able to pick it up smoothly. In December, they have the Snow Mochi. It looked lovely, like it was covered in snow. The red bean paste wasn't too sweet, and the mochi had a nice chewy texture. It was very delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I heard that the Akafuku two-tone wagashi from Akafuku, a popular wagashi shop, is only sold at the main store in Mie Prefecture. However, I happened to find it at a Hankyu Department Store in Osaka. When I see Akafuku, I remember the scandal of falsifying the expiration date. Despite such incidents, the company has not gone out of business, and my family members still buy it. The popularity of Akafuku remains strong. Akafuku, a specialty of Ise, is what I think of when I see it. I haven't been to Ise for a long time, but now I want to go to Izumo Taisha and Tamatsukuri Onsen. I think there are also hot springs in Mie Prefecture, but I don't hear much about them.

When you think of Ise, Akafuku is a famous specialty, and it's great that you can buy it at Shin-Osaka Station or department stores whenever you want to eat it! Of course, eating freshly made Akafuku at the actual location is the best experience, but recently, I haven't seen Akafuku on display at the store. It often sells out by the evening, so I went to buy it during the day. The White and Black Akafuku set costs 1000 yen. It was previously sold exclusively online in October last year, and sales at directly managed stores started on June 2nd. The white and black mochi are beautifully arranged. The black mochi has a black sugar flavor, which is different from regular Akafuku. It has a strong richness and a simple taste. The white mochi is based on white beans and is very smooth. It has a more subdued sweetness compared to the black mochi. Akafuku is amazing! I felt this even more deeply after eating it again. It's wonderful how they continue the tradition and have been around for a long time. Akafuku mochi, a pride of Japan. I hope I can eat it no matter how old I get. Thank you for the delicious meal. I'm in Osaka. In Osaka, there is Kitahama, Umeda. In the depachika of Hankyu Umeda Main Store, there is a shop here. I had already bought some sweets and they don't last long, but when I casually passed by here on my way back from buying reserved sweets at Taneya across the street, I saw a red and white Wagashi that I had never seen before... The shape is the same as a regular red Wagashi, with three flowing lines... I couldn't resist trying it when I saw something new, so I bought it on a whim. The staff were very friendly and polite, with a great smile. I will enjoy it with a nice cup of tea at home right away. In my own image, I thought the white one was special and the black one was a regular red Wagashi... but when I opened it, the black one was different in color from the regular red Wagashi. I read the explanation on the wrapping paper and found out that domestic black sugar was used. Perhaps because of that, it had a rich sweetness with a strong black sugar flavor, which was a taste I had never experienced before and was quite delicious. As a result, the white mochi felt light, but had a solid sweetness, which was also quite tasty. The traditional red Wagashi is delicious, but I feel like I might end up repeating the white and black mochi soon.

I made a reservation online and was able to pay in advance with my card. Since I didn't have to pay on the spot, the handover was smooth. I quickly received my order while glancing at the usual long line and left promptly. The water content in Kashiwa no Ha was high and the aroma was good. The texture of the dough was like a firm rice cake with a slight chewiness, not stretching like mochi. I think it has always been like this. I prefer the mochi-type. The smooth red bean paste inside had a nice melt-in-your-mouth texture.

I often see this shop in Mie and Nagoya, but I didn't realize there was one in Osaka too. It might be because Kintetsu runs through Namba. I was lucky to be able to buy it as a souvenir. The taste is as expected, delicious. I've been into ohagi recently, so in terms of cost performance, it's not as good.

It's been a while since I had the Saikamochi. Last year, I had made a reservation but had to cancel it last minute due to my son's moving. I missed out on the delicious yomogi mochi that I love. This year, with no plans, I finally got to enjoy it. The inside has sweet red bean paste. The wrapping paper has a Hina doll design, even though it's a bit torn. A small box of 6 pieces costs 620 yen including tax. I heard that next month's Sakura mochi will be raised to 800 yen, so I've already made a reservation with that in mind.

Visited the shop on my day off at Hankyu Umeda. Bought a pack of two Akafuku mochi! It's filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste but not too sweet, so it's easy to eat (*^^*) It's been a while since I last had it, but it was still delicious as ever \(^-^)/ Thank you for the meal♪

Before heading to Kyoto, I went shopping at Hankyu in Umeda. It is sometimes compared to Isetan in Shinjuku, but I was overwhelmed by the immense scale of Hankyu. I wandered around the sweets section, amazed by the grandeur of Hankyu and the large number of people. Living in Tokyo, I usually only buy Akafuku during events, so I rarely see anything other than the 8-piece and 12-piece sets. I was surprised to see they were selling packs of 2, but of course, 8 pieces is the way to go... so I bought the 8-piece set. The taste was the familiar classic flavor of Akafuku. In the evening, they often sell out. There were still plenty around noon though. You can also make reservations by phone. The taste is consistently good. I was worried at one point, but it's great to see the popularity come back. I will definitely buy it if I find it again in the future!

I bought the monthly special "朔日餅" from Akafuku without a reservation. It cost 620 yen for a small box (6 pieces) with tax included. The flavor for September is "Hagi no Mochi." It tasted like a regular ohagi or botamochi, without any distinctive features.

In May, the kashiwa mochi was automatically canceled due to department stores suspending operations. The reservation deadline for June's mugite mochi was missed. Finally, in July, a reservation was made for Takenagashi. Water yokan in green bamboo. 5 pieces: 780 yen tax included. Since it is in a real green bamboo, you need to open it with a knife at the joints to take out the water yokan inside. When the children were young, I used to say, "It's dangerous, so let Mom open it for you." But now that they are both working adults, they have grown independent from their parents. While feeling sentimental, I enjoyed the subtle scent of bamboo-infused water yokan.
