I visited around 4:30 pm. There was one group ahead of me, but I was seated within 5-10 minutes. This is a place where you order by scanning a QR code. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but I decided to try their chocolate drink because it sounded delicious. I chose the 58% cocoa option, which was not too sweet or bitter, and had it made with low-fat milk (¥700). For the waffle, I opted for a plain Belgian waffle with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream added (¥1000). The ability to customize your order is great! The waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and it came out piping hot. The whipped cream was light and slightly coarse, while the ice cream tasted homemade and delicious. The chocolate drink was also not too sweet and very tasty. They offer the option to change to low-fat milk or soy milk for other drinks at no extra cost, and almond milk is available for a fee. The waffles also come with toppings like fruits and ice cream, and you can add extras like whipped cream, fruits, various ice cream flavors, and sauces (such as chocolate or honey). The seating area is limited, so there might be a wait, but I would definitely like to go back again! They accept PayPay payments.

I visited this restaurant to have morning waffles on a Sunday morning around 10:20 am. There were 6 customers already seated and 4 customers arrived after me. By 10:30 am, the restaurant was full and there was a line of about 5 people waiting. Orders were placed using a system that involved scanning a QR code with a smartphone. I ordered the "Walnut & Brie Cheese & Honey (with drink) (1,500 yen)" from the morning menu, with iced coffee as the drink. The waffle had a crunchy texture and was quite large. The toppings included a generous amount of crunchy walnuts, creamy and flavorful brie cheese, mild honey, and arugula. The combination of flavors - the nuttiness of the walnuts, the savory brie cheese, the sweetness of the honey, the bitterness of the arugula, and a hint of spiciness - created a delicious and unexpected taste experience. The iced coffee had a light bitterness without any acidity, providing a refreshing taste. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

The waffle shop near Yotsuya Station had a quiet black and white dog, which made me think it was a Tamainu (but it's not). I always thought waffles were sweet and moist like Monaka, but the waffles here had a light sweetness and a crispy texture! I found out that there are different types of waffles like Liege waffles and Brussels waffles. This time, I tried the peach waffle with lots of custard inside a whole peach! It wasn't too sweet, just right! I shared it with a friend, but I could have easily eaten one by myself. There were many choices for drinks like chocolate milk, which made the decision-making process enjoyable. Next time, I definitely want to go during strawberry season!

This is a specialty shop for Brussels waffles. The name "hapje" means "a bite" in Dutch. I actually went into the shop to get a chocolate drink to go. They have a custom option where you can choose your preferred flavor. There are apparently 20 different types of waffles in Belgium. They use high-quality ingredients like Hokkaido flour, milk, and French fermented butter to make the dough, which takes about 8 hours, and then carefully bake it in a Belgian waffle maker. The waffles looked quite large with impressive toppings. The owner and pastry chef, Mr. Hansen, and a woman who seemed to be his partner, run the shop together. The owner spoke Japanese very well. There were two dogs that they take for walks in the morning and evening, but the kitchen seemed a bit cramped for them. As for the drink I ordered, it was a rich chocolate drink made with 100% Belgian chocolate. You can choose from white, ruby, milk, or dark chocolate as the base, and from milk, low-fat milk, soy milk, or almond milk. There are apparently 13 types of chocolate to choose from, but I went with the classic one. It was quite delicious, although a bit pricey at 600 yen. The ordering and payment were all done through a smartphone, completely paperless. I wish Japan would adopt this system soon. Thank you for the meal.

Just a 2-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station on the municipal subway, I visited Hapje. It turned out to be a day full of strawberries. I had originally planned to try the peach whole waffle, but changed my mind at the last minute. The waffle, made without baking powder and baked with yeast fermentation, had a new texture of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. With 15 big sweet strawberries ♥️, everyone finished their waffles without leaving any. Belgian waffles were once popular but quickly faded, and there are few specialty shops left. I enjoyed the faithfully recreated taste of authentic Brussels waffles. Thank you for the meal ☆

【hapje Yotsuhashi】Located right by Yotsuhashi Station, this shop offers chocolate milk and seasonal waffles made by a Belgian person. The waffles are authentic and come with a whole peach on top, which is interesting. I thought it might be too sweet, but it was actually refreshing and easy to eat. I shared it right after a meal, but if there was a bit more time, I could have easily eaten one by myself. I like chocolate drinks, so I chose one with about 20% cocoa for a sweeter taste. It was sweet, but the chocolate flavor was a bit mild, so I recommend opting for a higher cocoa percentage if you want a stronger chocolate taste! The ratio of cocoa percentage was a bit unclear, but overall, it was a good experience.

He and I had a bad atmosphere after arguing, so I visited again with ulterior motives (because I like animals, I thought eating something sweet and seeing a dog might help us make up). "They have Tiramisu waffles..." I love Tiramisu, so I ordered it without hesitation, while he ordered a plain waffle. Luckily, the closest table to the dog was empty when we visited, so we sat there. (Visited around 12:30 on a Sunday) -----Taste impression-----Really delicious! The ice cream on top is amazing too. They didn't sell it last time we came, but when I checked Instagram earlier, it said it would be available until around July. I hope they keep selling it... ------------------- As we were leaving, he paid the bill, and I finally mustered the courage to ask the staff for the dog's names, which turned out to be Mos and Silky (sorry if I misheard). I wanted to ask for their names during our previous visit but couldn't, so I'm glad I could this time. Many reviews focus on the waffles (naturally), but since many didn't mention the presence of dogs in the store, I thought I'd write about it. Sweet treats and cute dogs helped us reconcile and made us feel better! Thank you as always. It was a great meal!

In Shinsaibashi, Osaka, there is a cafe called "HAPJE." When I went to Osaka, I absolutely wanted to go there. They have a luxurious waffle topped with 15 strawberries from a strawberry field. The strawberries are sweet and delicious, but the waffle itself is crispy, fluffy, and slightly sweet, so delicious! I want to go there again.

I was craving for authentic Belgian waffles, so I decided to come here. The waffles were crispy and light, just like the ones in Belgium. They were delicious! I ordered a hot latte to go with it. The strong acidity of the coffee paired well with the sweetness of the waffles. It was very light, so I didn't have any problem eating it before dinner. There were two cute dogs in the shop, behaving well and being adorable.

I visited this shop to explore an area that I don't often come to. When writing this review, I found out that there are two types of waffles, Liège waffles and Brussels waffles. The former is a familiar waffle that is often sold in convenience stores, but this time I tried the latter, Brussels waffle. I visited around 12:30 pm and the place was almost full, but we were just in time to be seated. After us, many other groups arrived, so if we were 10-20 minutes late, we would have missed the chance. Orders were placed through LINE registration. We both chose chocolate drinks, and my partner was able to add toppings like roasted marshmallows and rum. It was fun to customize our drinks, which made me happy. ----- Taste Review ----- The drinks arrived first, and it was the first time I had a drink with a metal straw. The drink was delicious! Belgium is known for its chocolate, and chocolate drinks are always tasty. The customized drink with rum had a strong flavor, and it was surprising but delicious. While sipping on our drinks, we waited a bit longer, and then the "Choco Berry" with white chocolate, ruby chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and strawberries on top of the waffle, and the "Strawberry Fields" with strawberries covering the waffle arrived. We were unsure how to eat them, but when we tried using a knife and fork, we found the waffles to be crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they were delicious! ------------------- While my partner was paying at the register, I was suddenly called over, and there were two dogs next to the register. I was surprised to see dogs in the shop. Despite the dogs being near our table and the staff accidentally breaking plates, they were quiet the whole time, and I only noticed them when we were paying. I observed them up close, and they were very well-behaved, which made me, a dog lover, very happy. The taste of the waffles was completely different from what I had before, so it was a refreshing experience, and I would like to try other seasonal limited editions in the future. This cafe visit was one of the best I've had in a long time! I definitely want to visit again someday. Thank you as always. It was a great meal!

I wanted to try Brussels waffles once. It's always crowded, but it was empty this time. I ordered strawberry through LINE registration. The ice cream options were chocolate and vanilla. You can choose from honey, maple, milk, and other sauces. You can also add toppings. I chose vanilla ice cream and honey. The waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sweetness of powdered sugar, strawberries, and honey. It was delicious. Next time, I'll go for one with lots of strawberries.

Cafe hopping in Osaka **** Happiege ✨️@hapje_jp ** Popular waffle specialty shop ** ☆ Strawberry waffle 1800 yen ☆ Whipped cream 100 yen ** I revisited after trying the peach waffle last summer. ** The standout feature of the waffles here is their lightness! They are not powdery at all. ** I ordered the strawberry waffle with a generous amount of strawberries and added whipped cream. ** The shop is not very spacious, so if you come at a busy time, you may have to wait quite a bit. ** Thank you for the meal.

I was interested in the strawberry field that was trending on Instagram, but it was 2,000 yen! I couldn't bring myself to order it (( ⁎′̥̥̥ ⌑ ‵̥̥̥ )). Instead, I went to eat a regular waffle! The place is right near Yotsuhashi Station. There are 6 tables for 2 people each. The staff consists of a Japanese woman and a foreign man. There are about 4 chairs outside for waiting. - Brussels waffle: 600 yen - Black tea: 500 yen → 400 yen (100 yen off with a set drink) - White chocolate with 28% cocoa: 700 yen The waffles look really delicious, but if you're used to eating Manneken waffles, these may seem a bit hollow. If they come with strawberries on top, the light waffles seem to go well with them. Thank you for the meal (ᐡ •͈ ·̫ •͈ ᐡ) ===========

hapje Yotsuhashi @hapje_jp- MENU received this time - ・Choco Berry ¥1700 ・Strawberry Field ¥2000 ・Milk Tea ¥600 ・Black Tea ¥500 - Impressions - Limited-time strawberry chocolate waffle from January 13th Dark, milk, ruby, and white chocolate-covered strawberries can be tasted ❤️ You can choose from various sauces to pour over the waffle, and you can also add toppings such as ice cream and strawberries according to your preference. You can apparently put up to 8 chocolate-covered strawberries on the waffle. I chose maple sauce, and I really wanted to add vanilla ice cream, but I resisted. The waffle itself was quite large, but very crispy and light ❤️ The juicy strawberries and sweet chocolate were a perfect match, I loved it so much that I wanted to add 4 more. There were two cute dogs, the shop's mascots, inside the shop, and they were very well-behaved. It was really delicious and I highly recommend it, so please try it out. *It seems that Mondays are usually closed, so it's best to check on Instagram before going.

★ Hapje ★ Order from this menu ⬇️ ✔︎ Brussels Waffle ¥600- ✔︎ Chocolate Milk ¥600- (Custom milk, chocolate 811) A Belgian waffle specialty store in Osaka with 5 table seats available. As you can see from the menu, the customization of chocolate milk is amazing. The waffle has a crispy texture, which is really good. The chocolate milk is a deliciously rich drink with intense chocolate flavor. This is a must-visit for chocolate lovers. Fluffy dogs are sitting next to the table seats, so it's recommended for dog lovers to sit nearby! The energetic dogs can make you forget about any troubles just by looking at them! The waffles can be customized with toppings or you can choose from pre-set options! The waffle I chose this time was a sweet potato waffle that was moist and delicious. You can also add butter for an extra 20 yen! The plate comes with cute characters too! I recommend adding butter as it enhances the sweetness. The waffles are big and filling, great for sharing! You can help yourself to water, and there are plenty of drink options available. It's a cozy and comfortable place where you can relax, whether you're alone or with friends. Perfect for a Christmas date or any other occasion!

After lunch, I decided to have some tea at a waffle shop. There was a famous Belgian statue in front of the shop, but since it was lunchtime, no one was around. The menu offered not just casual cafe items, but authentic Belgian waffles as well. They also had a variety of chocolate drinks with different origins and flavor profiles. I was intrigued by the chocolate drink, but decided to go with iced tea instead to avoid too much sweetness. For the waffle, I chose the basic one with whipped cream and dark chocolate topping. The iced tea came with a metal straw, which made me wonder if it was properly cleaned inside. The waffle arrived hot, with the shop's name etched in powdered sugar on top. It was light and fluffy, with a crispy outer layer. It was easy to cut and had a light texture. The whipped cream was sweet, and the chocolate sauce was dark but not too rich. Overall, the waffle was delicious and easy to eat. The total cost for the Brussels waffle, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and iced tea was 1300 yen. The shop had a casual atmosphere, but it felt like an authentic Belgian cafe. It was a satisfying experience.

This is a cafe located a short walk from Namba. There are about 10 seats and we had to wait for about 30 minutes before being seated. I ordered a chocolate drink and waffles, but the menu was a bit hard to understand. I chose the mildly sweet chocolate drink, which was not too bitter and easy to drink. The waffles were lighter and easier to eat than I expected, but they had a strong buttery aroma, which may be a hit or miss for some people. Overall, it was a delicious cafe that is sure to be popular with girls. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered a normal waffle with added toppings, but it was more expensive than the ones already combined, so I went with a safe choice of chocolate banana. I also ordered an iced tea. After a while, the menu came out, and the photo was exactly what I got. It was my first time trying a Belgian waffle, so I cautiously cut it with a knife and tried it. It was delicious! I felt like I was possessed by Rengoku-sama. The outside was crispy, and the inside was fluffy. Sweets are not usually my thing, but I would definitely go back to try this again.

11:13~Visited Hapje at #Strawberry Tour Shop 14 on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line at Yotsubashi Station. Tried their crispy and fluffy Belgium waffle with a beautiful arrangement of strawberries on top. Received a Belgium ginger biscuit and a Strawberry Tour card. The dish had a cute powder sugar art logo of the shop. Also ordered a hot chocolate, opting for Belgium chocolate instead of coffee or tea. They couldn't do latte art with almond milk, so I had it with normal milk instead.

Finally, my long-awaited wish came true. I had a delicious Brussels waffle in Belgium before, and I was searching for a place in Japan where I could eat it. I found this shop. I visited on a weekday at lunchtime. At that time, there were two groups of customers already. The basic waffle comes with the option to add your favorite toppings. You can choose from banana, whipped cream, ice cream, and chocolate sauce. The ice cream and sauce seem to be from Belgium. The one with a whole banana is on the menu as "choco banana," not available for individual order. It was generously and beautifully topped with three types of chocolate sauce. Another option is whipped cream with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. Just like the one I had in Belgium, the waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with chocolate sauce drizzled over it or eaten with banana. (The batter itself is not sweet.) The chocolate sauce was quite sweet, but it was just right because the waffle was very light. It was a delicious waffle that reminded me of the waffles in Belgium. I think whipped cream alone or just ice cream would also be delicious, so I plan to visit again. It would be great if there were also shops in the Kanto region where you could eat delicious Brussels waffles.
