I felt like eating conger eel tempura, so I searched on Tabelog, but all the restaurants were expensive. Then I happened to pass by this soba restaurant. They had seasonal tempura with conger eel. I arrived at 11:30 in the morning, wrote down my name on the waiting list, and waited for 20 minutes. I ordered two seasonal tendon bowls, one with a large soba and one regular. The large size costs an extra 100 yen. It came with pickles and soba broth. The rice portion was a bit small and the soba was not 100% buckwheat, but it was soft. I want to go back in the next season.

I visited the restaurant after 3 PM. Thanks to their all-day service, I was able to enjoy my meal without worrying about missing out. The restaurant has 14 tables and about 5 counter seats, mostly filled with female guests even at this time. It seems there is a reason for its popularity besides the all-day service. I ordered the parent and child bowl with soba set, which cost 950 yen including tax. They accept JAF discount. The cold soba I ordered came as zaru soba. It arrived in about 6 minutes. The parent and child bowl had plenty of chicken in it, thinly sliced for easy chewing. It was a delicious bowl with a strong dashi flavor. The soba was thin and smooth, with a well-balanced dipping sauce. The restaurant was bright, clean, and the food was tasty. It seems their popularity comes from their overall good quality and service.

On May 25, 2023, I had lunch at a restaurant on Sanbancho while out for work. I arrived at the restaurant around 12 o'clock and there were two groups waiting ahead of me. I was seated in about 5 minutes. About half of the customers were dining alone, so the turnover seemed to be fast. I ordered the "Katsudon set meal for 990 yen". I asked for warm soba noodles. The food arrived in a little over 10 minutes. The katsudon was slightly sweet and had a rich flavor. The soba noodles were made with 80% buckwheat flour and the broth was also on the sweeter side. It was a nice touch that they provided soba broth even when ordering warm noodles. Thank you for the meal♪♪♪

The snow-aged golden pork cutlet bowl set was delicious with crispy texture. It can get crowded during lunchtime, but it's still easy to visit at other times. The restaurant is called "Kazokutei," and it's a place where even solo diners can feel comfortable.

Family Restaurant Yatei in Hankyu Sanban-gai in Osaka is a well-known restaurant with various locations. If you are looking for a place to have a meal, whether it's soba, udon, or anything else, this is the place to go. This time, I ordered the 100% buckwheat soba and chicken nanban set. The chicken nanban set came with a kabosu drink, so I decided to try it. The kabosu drink was refreshing and complemented the meal well. The chicken nanban had a great taste and I, a chicken nanban lover, enjoyed it. You can choose between cold and hot udon, and since it was a bit chilly that day, I went with the hot option. The white soba noodles were clearly handcrafted, which was evident in their appearance. The aroma of the soba was a bit subtle, but that's expected with white soba. I haven't been to Hankyu Sanban-gai in a while, but I would like to visit again soon.

I used to love going to Kazoku Tei once a week, but I won't be going to Hankyu's shops anymore. I have high expectations, which is why I'm disappointed. Unlike other stores, the broth for the duck dipping noodles is weak and lacking in quantity. The Senri Chuo store serves it generously and deliciously. When I ordered oolong tea, it came without ice and tasted bland. The portion was also small. When I ordered tempura, the dipping sauce was so little that when I asked for more, I was told it would be too spicy? My friend and I looked at each other in surprise. The udon noodles have no chewiness and taste bad, almost like supermarket ones. You can tell just by looking at the photo. It's clear that they are skimping on ingredients. I hope they take this feedback seriously.

Lunchtime at this place is always crowded, but it offers great value for money and a reliable dining experience. I went there after 2 pm and there was no line, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was about 80% full, showing its popularity. The menu is extensive, making it hard to choose, but I couldn't pass up their signature soba noodles, so I ordered the "katsu-don set (¥990 including tax)." The dish arrived in 6-7 minutes. The katsu-don had a fluffy egg topping, a light and crispy coating, tender meat, and a delicious broth. It was a classic katsu-don done right! The homemade noodles were fresh and had a nice texture. I even enjoyed the simple soba-yu (soba dipping broth) at the end. Overall, it was a satisfying and affordable lunch experience.

I visited this restaurant located on the 2nd basement floor of Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, inside Hankyu Sanbangai. The interior has counter seats and table seats, with soba and rice bowls as the main menu items. I ordered the soba and vegetable salad set for a refreshing meal. The set included grilled vegetables and soba. The vegetables were warm and went well with the dressing provided. The soba had a good texture. The taste was quite ordinary and the portion was decent, so I finished the meal quickly. Finally, I had some soba broth. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The location on the 2nd basement floor of the terminal station allows for easy access to trains after dining. Prices were mostly around 1000 yen.

Sometimes, we decided to try a familiar restaurant, so we went to this "Kazoku-tei" restaurant. Most of the customers were elderly people. The staff were very polite, which gave us a sense of comfort. As we looked at the menu, nothing really stood out to us, so we decided to go with the regular soba set meal. The set meal included zaru soba, inari sushi, and grated yam. The portion size was quite small. Overall, it was just average. The best part of the meal was the grated yam. The value for money was also not great, so if you're looking to eat soba, you might want to try a different restaurant.

A chain of soba restaurants along the Hankyu train line. Despite it being early evening, the place was packed mainly with solo diners. The soba is simple but easy to eat, with a tasty seasoning. The main dish, chicken nanban, was generously topped with sweet vinegar and tartar sauce, creating a perfect harmony with the moist fried chicken. It was regrettable that unlike other restaurants, refills of rice were not allowed.

I had the perfect soba for the cold season. It was a warm ankake soba with mochi mochi freshly fried lotus root manju and plenty of yuba. It was healthy but very satisfying. The creamy ankake slowly warmed up my cold body. The accompanying pumpkin was sweet and delicious. They also offer udon, so you can choose based on your preference. The restaurant is conveniently located in Hankyu Sanbangai, right below Osaka Umeda Station on the Hankyu train line.

Suddenly, the cold has intensified in the past few days. In times like this, warm soba or udon is perfect. This place has been a reliable favorite for a long time. I feel a sense of modesty when words like "o" are added to dishes, which is known as honorific language in Japanese that gives a refined impression to the listener. This time, the menu features shirasu, which made me genuinely happy as I can't remember the last time I had it. They say it's white because it lacks pigment. When I was young, I used to enjoy it over rice. It's cute that there are even two little eyes on it. Let's savor the young life. And on top of that, it comes with salmon and salmon roe on rice. Under the toppings, there's nori which adds a flavorful touch. The salmon and salmon roe duo on the rice bowl is truly impressive. It's actually vinegared rice, so it's refreshing to eat. As for the soba... it's simple but the Kansai-style broth is so good you'll want to drink it all. Enjoy the sensation of warming up your chilled body with soba. Despite most shops being closed, this one was open for business. I ordered the duck soba and shirasu rice set, and it was served promptly. The duck meat had no unpleasant odor, and the duck soup was just right. The shirasu rice was also delicious. They even offered complimentary soba broth halfway through the meal. Thank you for the meal.

Today's dinner was different from usual, I decided to have soba at Kazokutei, which is conveniently located near Hankyu Umeda Station. I was in the mood for a little bit of sake, but surprisingly it wasn't on the menu, only beer. It's strange for a soba restaurant not to have sake. I couldn't find it on the menu, maybe they just don't offer it. This place offers Jyuwari Oroshi Soba! I'm not sure what "jyuwari" means, but it looked delicious. I'm a sucker for anything that seems premium. Soon enough, my dish arrived. When they say "jyuwari," I think of dark soba, but this one was surprisingly white. I poured the dipping sauce over it and slurped it up! The soba had a great chewy texture, unlike regular soba. I finished it all in one go and ended with soba broth. Ah, it was delicious. For a chain restaurant, I think it's pretty good. The staff could use a bit more friendliness though. They're not rude, but the overall atmosphere... Also, they just casually placed the dish, condiments, and chopsticks on the tray without much care. I wish they would be more thoughtful in how they serve the food. It's a shame! With that, my day came to a close. Thank you for the meal. *It was around 900 yen including tax.

Ordered a katsudon set. The soba was average at best. The katsudon was not good, to put it lightly. The egg was completely overcooked and hard (I regret not taking a picture). It's a chain restaurant, so they should have a proper recipe, but I guess the loud talking coming from the kitchen explains the mistake. If at least the service was decent, it would have been better, but unfortunately, it was not.

In Osaka, in the Kita area of Umeda, there was a restaurant located underground in the Hankyu Sanbangai. I visited the restaurant after missing lunch and feeling quite hungry. When I entered the restaurant, there were empty seats here and there, so I wondered if I could just sit anywhere. However, a staff member soon greeted me and asked me to wait outside. I thought they might be preparing a smaller table for two instead of the larger table for four that I was about to sit at, but in the end, I was led to the almost empty table for four. I couldn't help but wonder why I had to wait outside if they were going to seat me there anyway. I looked through the menu, which had a lot of visual images similar to a typical family restaurant menu. While the pictures made it easy to understand the dishes, the many pages made it hard to find what I wanted. I thought maybe a simpler menu with just the items and prices would have been better, like at a soba or udon shop. After some deliberation, I ordered the tempura udon and mixed rice set. I opted for the large size for the soba, which was served in about 7-8 minutes. The soba seemed lacking in flavor, perhaps due to the larger portion size. The tempura was not to my liking, with a sparse and uneven coating, and it lacked volume. I thought maybe I should have just ordered udon instead. However, the beef bowl my friend ordered was decent. The side dishes were average. I'm not sure if I would visit this restaurant again.

I came to Osaka to see a live performance of a certain band. I didn't have a strong desire to eat anything in particular... and since it was after the live show, I was honestly in the mood for anything. I chose this place because it was easy to get in and didn't have to wait long! The interior of the restaurant is small, with tables close together. This time, I sat at the counter. I ordered the "Shrimp and Small Fish Ankake Udon". I chose it because I was drawn to the shrimp and small fish, but visually, vegetables like pumpkin and green onions stood out more. The thinly sliced pumpkin was easy to eat and had a delicious flavor. The vegetables go well with the ankake sauce~ There was also some red turnip in it, which was stylish. I thought maybe it would be better to have more vegetables as the main focus rather than seafood. Since it's in Kansai, I thought the broth might be light in color, but I couldn't really tell because of the color of the ankake sauce... It wasn't particularly bland, in fact, it was well-seasoned!

I visited the "Kazokutei Hankyu Sanbangai Store" in Osaka Umeda, Hankyu Sanbangai. It was crowded during lunchtime. I had the Tempura Assorted Special Soba for 972 yen. The soba had a light soup base. The crispy tempura was delicious with the tempura dipping sauce. I also had 2 pieces of inari sushi for 237 yen. Finally, I enjoyed a warm soba broth. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

The flavor has become stronger. I used to come here often because I liked the nabeyaki udon. It's amazing how much a restaurant can change when the management changes.
