A normal yakitori restaurant. They have a variety of yakitori and side dishes on the menu. The place was crowded, so I decided to give it a try, but there was nothing particularly special about it - just average taste and prices. Overall, the flavors were a bit bland. I don't usually eat very strong flavors, and I don't usually add salt when eating out, but the food here was so bland that salt seemed necessary. Not just me, but everyone I went with felt the same way, so I think the food is just lacking in flavor. The service was a mix of good and mediocre, and it felt like the orders weren't flowing smoothly.

Located in front of Takamiya Station, this restaurant is surrounded by other chicken dishes and yakitori restaurants. It is a competitive area, but this place is quite casual and easy to visit. The price of one yakitori skewer is cheap, but they also offer moderately rare cuts and the grilling is well done, making it enjoyable without getting bored. The Hatsu Moto (a part of the artery on top of the heart) was delicious and only costs 100 yen. A large bottle of Ebisu beer is priced at 530 yen, which is a good deal. It's a bonus that they offer Ebisu beer, and at such a reasonable price.

A gathering place for close friends, the yakitori restaurant Takamiya, also known as "Yakitaka". Although there are now many fashionable and high-quality yakitori restaurants, the go-to places for this group of friends in the area have always been Yakitori Takamiya and Nikushin in Hirao. It remains a popular spot, but compared to the cutting-edge gourmet yakitori restaurants, it is more traditional and old-fashioned. A typical yakitori izakaya in Fukuoka that is loved by locals. The prices are around 120 yen for pork belly, tsukune, gizzard, and liver each, and 90 yen for chicken skin, 380 yen for pig's feet, etc. I also enjoyed the variety of izakaya dishes available. This time, we also had the popular avocado with wasabi soy sauce and cheese fries. To finish off, we had a delicious porridge with chicken broth. I have been irregularly visiting this yakitori restaurant in the area where my friend lives. It is commonly known as "Yakitaka" and is a popular typical Hakata yakitori izakaya among the locals. My friend orders skewers starting from pork belly, chicken skin, meatballs, gizzards, and more without hesitation. The prices are around 110 yen for pork belly, 80 yen for chicken skin, 100 yen for meatballs, 110 yen for gizzards, 110 yen for cartilage, and 110 yen for chicken liver (tax included). We also added dishes like "avocado salad" and "cream cheese with bonito flakes." We always finish with "kimchi fried rice." Even though there are many trendy yakitori restaurants and izakayas in the neighborhood, this place is like a special home base for me. I was surprised to find such a delicious yakitori restaurant in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City... A friend of mine who lives in Minami-ku recommended it as their favorite yakitori place, Yakitori Takamiya. They mentioned that there is a cute part-time staff and the yakitori is really good. I was invited to go together, so I went. Unfortunately, the person was off that day and we couldn't meet... As soon as we entered the restaurant, I was surprised to see a poster advertising draft beer for 195 yen (limited to Monday to Thursday). Even though it wasn't the weekend, this price was astonishing. Perhaps because of this, the restaurant was packed with customers. The smell of yakitori smoke filled the air inside. I love this smell. We started with the draft beer, cheers! Even though I didn't have high expectations for the yakitori due to the cheap drinks, I was proven wrong. It was really delicious. The perfect amount of salt and the size of the skewers were just right. I also enjoyed the Fukuoka-style cabbage. I could easily get addicted to this place. We drank and ate quite a lot, and the bill came out to be less than 6,000 yen. Recently, they have opened a branch in Yakuin as well. I would love to visit this place again.

We opted for the 3,500 yen course. The staff's service towards our group of three middle-aged guests was brisk, energetic, and cheerful - very impressive. In particular, Nicole left a lasting impression (laughs). The yakitori was delicious and served at the perfect timing to our table. The quality, quantity, and taste were excellent. Thank you very much.

I used to go there occasionally about 15 years ago and had a good impression of it, but unfortunately it was disappointing this time. The grilled chicken was not hot, but rather just warm. The saltiness was also very mild. Watching how they sprinkled the salt, it seemed quite careless. Due to the current situation, many people were getting takeout, but the overall atmosphere felt lackluster. However, the restaurant was crowded, had a variety of menu items besides grilled chicken, and had a cozy interior.

Nowadays, there are various genres and styles of yakitori, but this is a popular local yakitori izakaya that has been loved for a long time. In the past, when I lived around here, the yakitori restaurants my close friends and I would go to were "Yakitaka" here and "Nikushin" in Hirao. In addition to a wide variety of yakitori skewers, there are also sashimi and other izakaya dishes available, making it suitable for individuals, groups, and families, with reasonable prices. This visit was the first time in over 10 years. Seeing the unchanged logo of "Yakitori Takamiya" on the signboard brought back memories of my youthful days as an OL. The place was as crowded as ever. I ordered the classic Hakata yakitori staple, pork belly skewers, for 110 yen including tax. I also ordered sand liver, skin, and tsukune. They were all delicious in a good way. And the yam. I love yam on a teppan like okonomiyaki style, but the skewered version was also crispy and tasty. For the finishing touch, I had kimchi fried rice. It had a good visual presentation and flavor. On this day, I met up with my friend H in Takamiya to have a good amount of drinks. We walked a bit and arrived at "Yakitori Takamiya" here. It seems to be commonly known as "Yakitaka" in this area. We didn't make a reservation, but we entered the restaurant. As it was still just past 6 pm, we were smoothly guided to the counter seats. First, we got bottled beer and made a toast. We moistened our throats right away. We started with some yakitori, such as pork belly, tsukune, skin, shiro, and shishamo. The size and price of the pork belly were quite good. And we also got "potato salad," which H loves. It was average. As a bonus, we had "thick fried tofu," "yam sticks," and "chicken wing gyoza" to accompany our shochu. Unfortunately, they didn't have Kuro Kirishima here. My favorite dish at this restaurant this time was the "Mentaiko Cream Pasta." It was around 650 yen including tax. The moment it arrived, a subtle garlic aroma filled the air. However, there were no garlic pieces in it. Mixing the mentaiko and sauce, the perfectly cooked noodles were delicious. Honestly, I haven't had pasta this tasty even at a pasta restaurant. I was amazed. If I visit again, I will probably order pasta. Thank you for the meal~~

Last night, I had dinner with my friend Yumi at a restaurant in Takamiya called "Yakitori Takamiya" (nicknamed YakiTaka). Yumi knows the manager here well. We started with a toast. Yumi was able to handle this amount of alcohol today. She turned red quickly, but she stayed with me, thanks! Yumi doesn't like fizzy drinks much, especially blue fish, but she can eat Kanpachi now. We ordered rare chicken breast with wasabi and yuzu, and meatballs which were just okay. The kitchen was very busy! We drank two large bottles and finished the night. I initially said it was a "girls' dinner," but I guess it turned into a "guys' dinner." Oh well, it's all good!

The beer is really cheap here. A large bottle for 380 yen! Beer goes well with yakitori, right? The salad was also quite substantial. The yakitori was delicious too. The variety of individual menu items is great - you can get tired of just yakitori. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively with many customers, but we had a private table in a sunken kotatsu, so we could relax and enjoy our meal and drinks. Even after eating and drinking quite a bit, the bill was still only around 2,000 yen per person, which is great.

Around Takamiya, there is a place called Yakitori Takamiya, or Yakitaka for short. They offer bottled beer for 380 yen, which is a good deal. The yakitori is average, nothing special. The service is not great, just okay. The bottled beer is a good value, so even though I usually prefer draft beer, I always order a bottle at Yakitaka. Overall, the yakitori is average, not amazing but not bad either. I hope they keep working hard. They have been in business for many years, so I think they are loved by the people of Fukuoka. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the popular casual yakitori restaurant "Yakitori Takamiya," known affectionately as "Yakitaka." Currently, the restaurant is run by young staff and attracts a younger crowd, but decades ago it was known for its delicious yakitori dishes under the management of the owner. The lively atmosphere is filled with the pleasant responses of the staff. The drink menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The sound of customers' laughter serves as a pleasant background music at Yakitaka. Definitely give it a try, but keep in mind that the taste matches the price, so don't expect anything too fancy...

In the Takamiya area, this restaurant is popular. The taste is average, but it always has many customers and a lively atmosphere. There are three branches on Takamiya Street. There is also a Western-style atmosphere restaurant. Even when other surrounding shops are scarce, this chain of stores is always busy. I always notice it when passing by on my bike. They have a decent variety of yakitori. The taste itself is average. The staff are energetic. The prices are cheap and it's an easy-to-use restaurant. It's about time for some changes though...

Every time I saw this always crowded restaurant and it piqued my interest! Today, I arrived early so I got a seat right away, but it quickly became full. The food was pretty good! Especially the pork belly. It goes well with beer! However, because it was so busy and full, the service was lacking. The dishes didn't come around often, even when we called for them. It seemed like our orders didn't reach the kitchen and there were also order mistakes. If they're not able to keep up, they should consider hiring more staff. I think I'll try to go during a less busy time next time.
