I, Noronori, mainly go around eating lunch in Sakai. I noticed that there are many Vietnamese ingredient stores popping up everywhere. I often see Vietnamese people as well. I think it's reassuring to have a store selling ingredients from your homeland in a foreign country. A Vietnamese ingredient store opened near Noronori's house this year. When it opened, I saw a Vietnamese person buying cup noodles in bulk, loading them onto a bicycle and riding away, which was quite moving. If Noronori were living in a foreign country and suddenly a Japanese ingredient store opened nearby, I think I would happily buy cup noodles like Donbei or Sapporo Ichiban in bulk! That's the feeling, right?? It's great that a Vietnamese restaurant opened in Ohama too! I'm so happy. The lady at the restaurant showed me photos on Facebook on her phone. From there, I requested a dish called Bun Bo Hue, a noodle dish with various toppings, and it was delicious! The fried spring rolls were also crispy and good! Ahh, it was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese cuisine! Thank you for the meal.

Recently, there has been an increase in Vietnamese-related shops in Sakai City. Many of these shops are not just restaurants, but also stores selling ingredients. Among them, I discovered a Vietnamese cafe called Binh Minh Coffee&Food, located near SCHOOL BUS COFFEE STOP SAKAI. The shop just opened on September 26th and has a clean, white-themed interior which is very neat and beautiful. What surprised me the most was that all the customers and staff were Vietnamese, creating a mini Vietnam travel atmosphere with everyone speaking Vietnamese. The shop even has a kids' space, making it family-friendly. Although the lunch menu was not fully prepared yet, I was shown photos on Facebook to place my order. I decided to try the Bun Bo Hue, priced at 780 yen, which came with chili fish sauce pickles and garlic vinegar pickles as appetizers. The dish had Vietnamese-style pork ham, intestines, and pork feet, which you mix in before eating. The broth was rich in flavor with a spicy kick that was enhanced by the pickles. The texture of the noodles was slightly chewy, adding to the overall experience. Overall, it was a delicious meal enjoyed in a Vietnamese-inspired setting.
