⭐LP⭐ When we mentioned Kumoi-cho Kumaishi, we learned for the first time while driving that abalone can be found there, thanks to the search feature on the food review site. For lunch, we decided to visit Kakita-san. We parked our car in front of the restaurant and entered. Right by the entrance, there was a tank full of abalone! So, these are directly served from here, right? There were also sushi counter seats, but we chose to sit in the tatami room at the back. Despite being a tatami room, it had table seating, giving a cozy atmosphere like a relative's house (laughs). There was a crane origami on the table, adding to the warm feeling as we looked at the menu. As expected, the main focus was on abalone, with prices to match! KG ordered the popular Kumoi Doka Mori Seafood Bowl. LP, unfortunately, is not a fan of raw abalone, so opted for the regular Bara Chirashi. While waiting, a group of local riders, who seemed like locals, arrived. The atmosphere became lively as they discussed the driving route ahead. Finally, our dishes arrived! KG's Doka Mori Bowl had additional sushi rice on the side, which was interesting. The taste was described as average. As for the Bara Chirashi, it was fresh and wonderful, but slightly underwhelming compared to the menu photo. The Bara Chirashi was quite shallow, lacking overall volume. Perhaps if they put more effort into the presentation, with a more beautiful arrangement, it would have more impact. Personally, I would have preferred vinegared rice. Nevertheless, we were 80% full. It was time to head to our next destination!
