It's a certain holiday. We drove towards the southern direction and arrived at Yakumo Town. Our goal for the day was this restaurant. We wanted to eat fresh seafood and relied on everyone's reviews to come here. We arrived a little after 2 pm, and there were a few groups of customers already there, so we were seated at the counter. I looked at the menu, and I was drawn to the "Autumn Delicacy Bowl" that was listed on Jalan, so I decided to order that. It cost 1500 yen. After a short wait, a small appetizer-like dish and seafood soup were served. And then... a seafood bowl that resembled Mount Everest was brought to us. This was truly amazing. The sashimi was very fresh, there was also abalone, and the vinegared rice was just right. The cost performance was great, and personally, it's my number one seafood bowl I've ever had! I'm already craving it again just thinking about it. Thank you for the meal!

I used it for lunch a year ago and since then, whenever I go to the neighborhood, I always stop by. There are various lunch menus, but I fell in love with it from the first bite, and now "Tamatebako" is the only choice. The chirashi sushi with various toppings is truly a treasure trove. There is plenty of rice, but with lots of toppings, you won't get tired of it. It also comes with a small udon as a palate cleanser. Ah, I want to eat it again. Thank you for the meal.

I usually go around July every year, but this time I came in May! The chef remembered me, even though I only come from out of town once or twice a year. Yesterday, he told me that sea urchin had arrived from the fisherman, so I immediately ordered a sea urchin feast! I had a sea urchin rice bowl with plenty of sea urchin, sea urchin jelly, and two pieces of sea urchin sushi. Everything was delicious. I travel around Hokkaido trying sea urchin, but the sea urchin here and in Okushiri have no fishy smell and are sweet! I am very satisfied!

This place is really a great value for money! As expected, even though the prices are a bit high, you can definitely enjoy delicious seafood here. I ordered the Kumoi Doka Mori Seafood Bowl (2,900 yen) which came with two portions of sushi rice. You can make your own hand-rolled sushi by adding your favorite seafood on top. It was a bit disappointing that they used boiled shrimp instead of fresh shrimp due to the season, but the abalone was incredibly fresh. I even got to eat the liver raw! The soup was a seasonal miso soup, which was very satisfying. I was so full that my stomach felt like bursting! For this price, getting this much food is amazing! I'll have to come back when they have fresh shrimp in season next time!

During the road station stamp rally, I happened to come across this place by pure chance, and it turned out to be a great choice. The seafood bowl for 1,500 yen was incredibly satisfying with its generous portion. Before the bowl arrived, a plate of sushi toppings was served, and the amount of toppings was impressive. Leaving the toppings as they were would have made it impossible to reach the rice underneath. The abalone, a specialty of Kumaishi, was a highlight as it was still moving when served. Taking a big bite, the texture was incredibly firm. I heard they would slice it for you if you asked. The abalone dish with 2 pieces was also priced at 1,500 yen, making it both reasonable and satisfying in terms of content.

I took a rare day off and went to enjoy a summer luxury with my friends. I ordered a Uni set for 4,300 yen, which included Uni rice bowl, Uni glass, Uni sushi, Uni salad, soup (somen noodles), side dish, and dessert of the day. My friends opted for the value set for 2,000 yen, which included a seafood bowl (with a choice of sushi), abalone, side dish, soup, and dessert. The Uni rice bowl set for 3,800 yen did not include Uni sushi and salad. I added 500 yen for 2 pieces of Uni sushi, making it a complete Uni experience. The rice in the Uni bowl was too much for me, and I couldn't finish it. The wasabi on top of the Uni bowl seemed freshly grated, giving it a nice texture. When the Uni on the bowl ran out, I chased after the Uni in the glass to continue enjoying it. I didn't feel the need for the salad, so I ate it separately. I wished the soup was something warm like miso soup with seafood instead of cold somen noodles. The dessert surprised me with a cheesecake instead of what I expected to be almond tofu. Overall, I was satisfied with the amount of Uni I could eat for the price. My friends were happy with the fancy abalone and variety of seafood in the seafood bowl.

I visited a slightly luxurious sushi restaurant. There were so many options to choose from, but I decided on the seafood bowl from the lunch menu. I asked if I could add abalone as a topping, and they said it was fine. While waiting, I noticed the people on both sides of me enjoying their seafood bowls. Maybe they are locals? Finally, my dish arrived. To my surprise, they included a piece of abalone as a service! It was a small piece, but I was so happy. I would like to order it officially next time. Lately, I haven't been able to eat much, so this mini bowl was perfect for me. I look forward to trying a seafood bowl from the regular menu next time!

In Kumaishi-cho, there's a seafood bowl with abalone. In addition to that, there's tuna, medium fatty tuna, double sea salmon, cherry trout vinegar, flounder, sardine, shrimp, live octopus, conger eel, salmon roe, sea urchin, and egg. The cherry trout's fat and flavor, as well as the double sea salmon's mild taste, are exceptional. Everything is delicious. The abalone is taken out from a tank after ordering, so it's extremely fresh, and the liver is tasty. Next time, I want to bring a designated driver and enjoy sushi with some alcohol. If I were to eat something of this quality in front of Hakodate Station, it would likely cost three times as much, so even though it's a bit far, I will definitely go back.

On July 10, 2021 (Saturday), I had lunch at a restaurant I stumbled upon, which turned out to be a highly rated place on Tabelog with a score of over 3.4. When in Kushiro, you can't miss out on abalone! I opted for the Abalone Dancing Grilled Set (3300 yen), which comes with a choice of sushi or seafood bowl. I chose the seafood bowl. First, the dancing grilled abalone arrived, wiggling around on the plate. It was freshly taken from the tank, so it was incredibly fresh! Next up was the seafood bowl. Wow!! It was a massive bowl filled with a variety of toppings! The dancing grilled abalone had a deliciously fragrant and crunchy texture. The unique flavor of the abalone was also very pleasant. The seafood bowl was packed with so many toppings that I lost count! But it was incredibly delicious. I wonder if you can find a seafood bowl like this even in Kushiro? It also had abalone in it. I was very satisfied with this lunch. This place is great!

I went to Kumaishi Town for work and decided to have lunch at a restaurant I had been curious about. Due to work, we arrived at the restaurant close to 1:30 PM, so it was not crowded. We ordered a set of 8 pieces of sushi for lunch and a Tamatebako, which is a chirashi bowl with abalone. The food was quite average. The chirashi bowl with abalone had only one small piece of abalone on top, but it tasted delicious.

⭐LP⭐ When we mentioned Kumoi-cho Kumaishi, we learned for the first time while driving that abalone can be found there, thanks to the search feature on the food review site. For lunch, we decided to visit Kakita-san. We parked our car in front of the restaurant and entered. Right by the entrance, there was a tank full of abalone! So, these are directly served from here, right? There were also sushi counter seats, but we chose to sit in the tatami room at the back. Despite being a tatami room, it had table seating, giving a cozy atmosphere like a relative's house (laughs). There was a crane origami on the table, adding to the warm feeling as we looked at the menu. As expected, the main focus was on abalone, with prices to match! KG ordered the popular Kumoi Doka Mori Seafood Bowl. LP, unfortunately, is not a fan of raw abalone, so opted for the regular Bara Chirashi. While waiting, a group of local riders, who seemed like locals, arrived. The atmosphere became lively as they discussed the driving route ahead. Finally, our dishes arrived! KG's Doka Mori Bowl had additional sushi rice on the side, which was interesting. The taste was described as average. As for the Bara Chirashi, it was fresh and wonderful, but slightly underwhelming compared to the menu photo. The Bara Chirashi was quite shallow, lacking overall volume. Perhaps if they put more effort into the presentation, with a more beautiful arrangement, it would have more impact. Personally, I would have preferred vinegared rice. Nevertheless, we were 80% full. It was time to head to our next destination!

Kumoiishi Town is famous for herring, abalone, and more, but recently, Kumoiishi deep-sea water has been gaining popularity. This scientifically stable water contains essential trace elements and various minerals with few impurities, revitalizing the region. I visited Kaki Ta Sushi Dokoro, a restaurant along the seafront in the town. The restaurant has a tank with many abalones. When looking at the menu, it was unclear whether the dishes were good value or expensive. Upon asking the chef for a recommendation, he suggested the Abalone Grilled Set (3,300 yen). The hostess enthusiastically explained the dish. However, I realized that I don't actually like abalone. I would recommend trying the Lunch Seafood Bowl (1,500 yen) instead.

I visited Kakita last year. As usual, I hadn't left a comment, so I'll leave one now. I went on a little drive to visit a friend who lives in Kumaishi. When I arrived, it was lunchtime, so I tried the recommended specialty dish at Kakita - the Kumaishi Dokamori Seafood Bowl. It was amazing. A miraculous seafood bowl that you can only enjoy here. It was incredibly delicious. I want to go back again.

During the 10-day Golden Week holiday, everyone seems to be having a great time, but unfortunately, I don't have any time off. However, I decided to take a short trip and drove for 5 hours from Sapporo. I got stuck in traffic just before Jozankei and it took me 2 hours to escape Sapporo. I arrived at the restaurant at 2 pm and surprisingly, there were already customers there. The restaurant had raised the price of the "Abalone Hospitality Set" to 4200 yen from 3500 yen about half a year ago, but since I had come all this way, I decided to splurge. The set included abalone sushi, abalone rice bowl, steamed abalone, grilled abalone, clam, side dish, and soup. It was a feast of abalone in various cooking styles. The raw abalone was crunchy, the clam was so delicious that I wanted to carry it around in a water bottle, the steamed abalone had a nice aroma of sake, and the grilled abalone was incredibly tasty. As a bonus for Golden Week, they also served squid sushi, which was a delightful surprise. It was worth the long journey. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This was my last visit to Kumaishi before giving birth! Since I won't be able to go for a while after giving birth, I decided to make a strong push to Kumaishi. As always, the abalone hospitality course was delicious. My husband ordered the Kumaishi seafood bowl, which was truly overflowing with seafood. The marinated cod roe was so delicious that I ended up ordering it as a separate dish, but was surprised at the bill - only 400 yen for a small side dish! It's really reasonable, even though it's a sushi restaurant. The staff, especially the kind motherly figure, was very welcoming when I asked if it was okay to bring my infant next time. It's hard to find a good place to eat with a small child, so I'm grateful for their understanding. I highly recommend this place, where you won't be frowned upon for bringing children.

My son's favorite food is abalone (luxurious...) but when we eat it in Sapporo, it's expensive and puts a strain on our finances. So, we found a budget-friendly place where my son can eat abalone to his heart's content - his heaven! Whenever we go south, we take a detour to get there. This time, we're going on an abalone-eating tour, with the superstition that eating abalone will result in beautiful eyes for the child I'm currently pregnant with (lol). I can't drink beer because of my pregnancy, which is a bummer, but the abalone bowl and abalone steak bowl set with fresh abalone and the aroma of town butter are delicious. The abalone hospitality set is highly recommended! The abalone simmered in a cocktail glass is my favorite. I could drink it all day long (lol). The sake-steamed abalone and the dancing abalone are also amazing! I could just keep eating the dancing abalone (lol). With the Jalan coupon, we got complimentary sherbet and a piece of sushi. The flounder sushi we had this time was unbelievably delicious. The sweetness of the hanging flounder was irresistible. All this abalone for less than 15,000 yen! And to top it off, my child's eyes will become beautiful - too good to be true (lol). The menu has a variety of options, but the abalone hospitality set has an excellent satisfaction level!

On the way back from Hakodate, I definitely wanted to visit this restaurant. We planned to delay lunch a bit to be able to get a table. I ordered the most popular dish, the "Kumoi Ishi Dekamori Seafood Bowl"!!! It came with sushi rice and you could top the rice with your favorite seafood. I would love to come back again and try a different menu next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Please take a look, madam. It's abalone, two pieces each of sashimi and grilled. Two pieces on top of the rice. The restaurant is a bit hard to find if you're driving, but it's worth a visit just to enjoy the two-color bowl, madam.

Kumoi Town - Wow, it's really far! I didn't plan on going, but the weather was perfect so I decided to drive from Sapporo on the expressway to Yoichi, Iwanai, and finally to Kutchan. I ended up going all the way to Kumoi! Along the way, I stopped at Awabi Sanso to take a quick bath in the hot spring, which was quite hot. Now that I've come this far, I have to have some seafood donburi before heading back! I chose Kakiita, a sushi restaurant in Kumoi, and entered as soon as they opened. I was greeted with smiles and seated at the counter. I ordered their most popular seafood donburi. There was an abalone in the tank next to me, and the chef asked if I wanted to eat it whole or have it cut. I politely asked for it to be cut. The seafood donburi arrived with a generous amount of fresh sashimi on top. I quickly devoured it all! It was delicious! I finished it in no time, including the complimentary fruit jelly. Due to my job as a chef, I have a habit of eating quickly, and it showed here too! Next time, I'll take my time and enjoy the trip. Thank you for the meal!
