I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, but it was almost full shortly after. It seems to be a popular local spot. The yakitori starts at 120 yen, and bottled beer is priced at 580 yen, which is quite reasonable. We ordered a variety of dishes including neck, cheese bacon roll, Caesar salad, and chicken tataki, which were delicious and highly recommended. The chicken liver was tough and not very good. The fried taro was hard and lacked flavor as it was not simmered, unlike the ones you would find at other restaurants. If you plan to visit the restaurant, I recommend making a reservation. Total bill came out to 4,490 yen.

The yakitori here is delicious with just the right amount of salt. I usually go to the Takamiya store, but this time I went to a pharmacy near Tenjin. It's about a 10-minute walk south from Yagoin-dori, and you'll see the store on your right. There are many restaurants around, like yakiniku and famous unagi places. I quickly ordered a beer as usual, and to my surprise, a large bottle cost only 390 yen. I know someone who owns a restaurant, and I wonder if they can really afford to sell beer at this price... The best thing about this place is the lively atmosphere and the cheap yakitori, starting at 60 yen for chicken skin. The yakitori here is really delicious overall, with a nice salty flavor. It's very popular, and this time I ended up drinking 5 beers because of the cheap prices. I went home feeling a bit tipsy.

The yakitori was loved by locals for its price. The chicken, horse, and fish sashimi were all very delicious.

<2014.6.25> I'm raising my rating again! This yakitori restaurant is the best! And to my surprise, the sashimi is delicious too! It's tastier than your average izakaya!
<2011.9> I'm raising my rating again! I've been to many yakitori places, but I think this might be the best. First of all, a large bottle of beer for 390 yen, is that some kind of mistake? The chicken skin is only 60 yen and it's incredibly delicious! This time the tsukune wasn't smelly! The chicken wings, daikon, and egg stew are also delicious, so give them a try! The only downside is that the edamame is served too hot.
<2010.12> The staff here are fantastic, with loud voices and friendly smiles. They are all young and good-looking! And the food comes out quickly! I didn't feel any stress at all. I recommend the burdock salad and chicken skin! They are so delicious, you'll be satisfied with just these two! The only downside is that the tsukune has a slight smell. Also, the motsunabe has plenty of offal in it, which is good, but the soup is a bit bland and not tasty. However, it's very generous in portion size. Although this branch is different from the main store, where motsunabe is only available for two people and up, I prefer it here because the yakitori is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely go back!

Along the Takamiya Street, there is a chain yakitori restaurant called "Takamiya". This particular review is for the Yakuin branch. The reviewer initially wanted to go to another restaurant but it was full, so they ended up here. The atmosphere is family-friendly and they felt at ease with their children. The beer was cold and refreshing. They enjoyed dishes like sesame marinated bonito (starting at 650 yen) and chicken sashimi (550 yen). The yakitori was reasonably priced with items like pork belly and chicken meatballs for 90 yen each, and chicken wings for 250 yen. The reviewer also tried the black pork dumplings (380 yen) and the fluffy mentaiko tamagoyaki (380 yen). They ended their meal with the chicken and rice porridge (580 yen). The total bill for three people was less than 5000 yen, making it an affordable dining option. The reviewer noted that the restaurant had a family-friendly vibe and wished there was a similar place in their neighborhood. The restaurant information is as follows:

Visited 'Yakitori Takamiya' after a long time, it is the Yakuin branch. I usually go to the main branch, so this was my first time at the Yakuin branch. Each branch has a different atmosphere. The place is always crowded, but the beer (large) for 390 yen is amazing! I like the casual feel of this place rather than the trendy yakitori places. Yakitori Takamiya, thank you for the delicious meal. Yakitori Takamiya is located in the competitive yakitori street of Takamiya. It's great to go on a yakitori food tour in this area.

This is the Yakiniku Takamiya restaurant on Takamiya Street in Yakuin! Everyone here is drinking bottled beer! The reason is that bottled beer is only 380 yen! It's really cheap! The yakitori is also inexpensive! There are many types of skewers and various side dishes on the menu! We started with ordering 10 skewers of yakitori and bottled beer. The yakitori was grilled quickly and was delicious! We also had cucumber pickles and chilled tofu. The total bill for two people was only 5000 yen! Thank you very much!

I visited the commonly known "Yakitaka" restaurant in the Yakuin area. There are four branches around the area from Nishitetsu Takamiya Station to Yakuin Station. This place is the ultimate yakitori restaurant! The staff are full of energy and the skewers range from 60 yen, but they are a decent size. The menu is typical, but each dish is very delicious. There are various side dishes, but the skewers and the generous salad might be enough. Overall, it's reasonably priced, and most other places offer medium-sized bottled beer, but here you get a large bottle for 390 yen!! Almost every table around had bottled beer. I wonder how they manage to offer it at that price haha. There are those who prefer salt and those who prefer sauce, but the chicken skin here is with sauce, crispy and flavorful. The pork belly is juicy and meaty! The recommended skewers are the tender bonjiri and the slightly chewy yet soft neck. The chef's grilling technique with the right amount of salt and char is exquisite. Sometimes when the chef is not around, someone else grills, and it feels slightly different... Personally, I think it's best to visit when the chef is there. When it's crowded, the staff seem very busy and you might miss the timing to place your order... The atmosphere inside is lively and bustling, so it's not ideal for a leisurely meal. All my friends I brought here gave high ratings, and since you can eat plenty for a good price, I definitely want to visit again.

It is always crowded with many people. The bright interior has both tatami mats and tables, so many families come here. The layout is more spacious compared to Takamiya Honten. It is located along a main street, making it easy to find. While the skewers don't have any particular standout features, they offer a variety of classic skewers at very reasonable prices, making it wallet-friendly for families. The other dishes are typical izakaya fare with decent pricing as well. Overall, it is a user-friendly skewer restaurant. There are also many small and cozy shops nearby, so I recommend having yakitori here and then moving on to a nearby spot for drinks as a second round.

I went to Takamiya, a yakitori restaurant near Yakuin. We had assorted sashimi for 780 yen, sesame mackerel for 600 yen, and various skewers ranging from 60 yen to 210 yen. The avocado tempura was a pleasant surprise and the salads were delicious. They also had a good selection of shochu at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and energetic. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I went out for drinks with my colleagues from work after a long time. Our main goal was to have some raw liver! It's becoming harder to find these days. We started drinking around 11 PM, and the restaurant was packed. We sat at the counter this time. We quickly ordered two servings of raw liver. It was truly delicious when dipped in sesame sauce. We also ordered a variety of other dishes like pork belly, intestines, cartilage, shiso rolls, and meatballs. We decided to have bottled beer with our meal. Since we had work the next day, we took our time with the drinks. In the end, we ordered another plate of raw liver! It was a very satisfying meal!

■ Food: All dishes are affordable and come in generous portions, making it budget-friendly.
■ Drinks: We started with beer and moved on to shochu. We ordered a bottle of shochu, and they had a wide variety available.
■ Overall: A convenient yakitori restaurant that is suitable for both solo diners and large groups.

I visit this place when I feel like eating yakitori with my family on holidays. There are many tatami rooms, and there are also many people with small children like my own, so I don't have to worry about disturbing others. First of all, as others have mentioned, the bottled beer is cheap! I like how the staff runs over to bring the freshly grilled yakitori. Every yakitori is very delicious and cheap. I always want to order more, but I always end up full from the chicken... It's crowded, so I go early. Sometimes I have to wait in line, but the turnover is fast, so it seems like you can get in quickly.

Even though it's a restaurant in Yakuin, why is it called Yakitori Takamiya? Couldn't it have been Yakitori Yakuin? I can't help but think about such trivial things. But anyway, the bottled beer is cheap! It's only 390 yen, which feels a bit shady. I visit this place often, and I think the person who seems like the manager is grilling the yakitori, and the seasoning and grilling are perfect. The staff members are also energetic, and even though I was with children, they were kind and greeted them with smiles, which was nice. I would like to visit again with my family. Thank you for the meal.

I sometimes go to this place. The main selling point here is that a large bottle of beer is only 390 yen (^O^) Amazing cost performance! Pork belly for 90 yen, chicken skin for 60 yen, tsukune for 90 yen, yotsumi for 90 yen, and sunaguri for 80 yen. It's just so cheap!! The variety of side dishes and appetizers is also great. The taste of the yakitori is neither good nor bad, and the grilled fish is disappointing as it tastes frozen. I pass by this restaurant every day, and it's always full in the evening. There seems to be quite a few salarymen, but maybe it's because the prices are low that even couples come here. If you go here, you should definitely order the large bottle of beer for 390 yen. There are also other branches like Takamiya Station branch, Takamiya Street branch, and Hirao branch, and interestingly, all branches are located along the same street. It's surprising (^o^)v By the way, shochu and other drinks are priced around the average in Fukuoka.
