Located a short distance from the north gate of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine in the heart of Osaka city, you will find the café and donut specialty shop "JUSTICE BROWN". This special place is known for its specialty coffee brewed with meticulous attention to detail and handmade Taiwanese donuts. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a donut in the beautiful space of this shop is the perfect way to start your day or relax at the end of the day. The coffee at JUSTICE BROWN is carefully brewed by hand drip, allowing for precise attention to detail and bringing out the true deliciousness of the coffee. The specialty coffees used in the shop include "Ethiopia natural" and "Guatemala Fully Washed", known for their floral aroma, brightness, and cherry-like sweetness. Each cup of coffee is like a piece of art meticulously crafted with care. Additionally, the Taiwanese donuts at JUSTICE BROWN are a pride of the shop. Made with 100% domestic wheat, these donuts are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. With a variety of flavors such as plain, milk, and chocolate, you can choose according to your preference. Each donut has a unique flavor characteristic of a specialty shop, offering a taste that you won't forget once you try it. When you visit JUSTICE BROWN, be sure to try the coffee and donuts that catch your eye. You can enjoy the unique flavors of each product and the new deliciousness that emerges from their combination. While coffee and donuts are enjoyable on their own, eating them together will expand the depth of their flavors.

This is a Taiwanese donut and coffee shop located on the north side of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. It is situated along the approach from Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street to Kaseitei. The shop operates on a prepayment system, where you order at the counter and then find a seat. I visited during lunchtime on a holiday and there were only two groups of customers, so I was able to enter easily. They offer about four types of donuts including plain, cinnamon, chocolate, and soybean flour. As for drinks, since it's a coffee shop, I tried their original blend. After placing my order, I sat at an available table. The seating arrangement is unique, with small tables for two along the aisle and a more spacious seating area for about four people resembling a sofa. However, the chairs are quite firm. The interior is in pink-beige tones, giving off a Taiwanese vibe. I ordered the plain donut (¥300) with a scoop of ice cream (¥300). The donut was coated with brown sugar and had a crispy texture, making it light and easy to eat. Unfortunately, the ice cream topping was not reheated, which was a bit disappointing. I also had the Original Blend (iced) coffee for ¥550, served in a footed glass, which was refreshing and not too strong. Overall, the place has potential with its concept and menu offerings, but there were some missed opportunities. I might consider revisiting if I happen to be in the area, especially since they also offer Taiwanese desserts like almond tofu.

First of all, the milk donuts with ice cream topping are paired with iced coffee and cafe au lait. The donuts are crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness that is perfectly fragrant. This is the most shocking donut I have ever eaten. It's delicious. It's so delicious that I ended up ordering another donut. This time I got the chocolate one. It's also delicious. This is a place I definitely want to visit again.

Taiwanese Donut Shop near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. Taiwanese donuts are a first for me, but they are crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and not only delicious but also have an interesting texture! I couldn't resist getting some for takeout too haha. The iced coffee is a bit bitter, but it goes well with the sweetness of the donuts. The atmosphere inside the shop is calm and perfect for a relaxing afternoon break. The seats are a bit hard and my butt got a little sore, but the cozy feeling made me doze off. Thank you for the meal! ✨

After visiting Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, I stopped by this restaurant. It was so hot that I decided to dine in, which turned out to be a great choice! I ordered the seasonal donut plate with ice cream on top and a cold brew coffee. The donut was crispy on the outside, chewy and fluffy on the inside, and paired perfectly with the cold ice cream. I felt happy from the first bite. The cold brew coffee had a slight acidity, which I usually don't like on its own, but it didn't bother me when enjoyed with the donut. I'm curious about their Chinese tea, almond jelly, and lo-lo rice, so I definitely want to go back again.

I went to a Taiwanese donut shop that I had been wanting to visit during Golden Week, as recommended by an acquaintance. The donuts were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, making them one of the best I've ever had. I enjoyed a coffee inside the shop for a relaxing cafe time. The coffee was a high-quality drip coffee with a rich flavor that complemented the sweetness of the donuts. This time, I tried the regular donut for 300 yen, but they also offer milk and chocolate flavors. I couldn't resist getting some to take home, and when I lightly toasted them in the toaster, they tasted almost as good as freshly fried donuts.

Entered the shop at 13:10 on Saturday and it was packed with girls, it was intense. Don't give up, myself. I had to change my dinner plans because the neighboring Battera-originated restaurant was full, so I came here to rethink my options. When I asked about the seasonal single origin coffee, they said it was either Kenya or Ethiopia. I ordered the Ethiopian coffee for 650 yen, which seemed a bit pricey... Is this the usual price in Osaka? Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying Taiwanese donuts. The coffee was pretty good. The cafe didn't seem like a place for lingering, more like a spot to quickly enjoy Taiwanese donuts. Thank you for the meal.

Located right next to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine✨ These donuts are made with 100% domestically produced wheat✨ They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, using plenty of fresh cream and fermented butter! Seasonal Donut Plate - Sautéed Apple (750 yen) A plain donut with cold apple and cheese cream✨ The plate may seem a bit pricey, but it would have been nice if they had sautéed it hot... Now it has changed to the taste of "An Butter"✨ As everyone says, the donuts really have a tempura-like texture According to my friend, the chocolate flavor is the most recommended✨ It's high in calories, but if you're curious about Taiwanese donuts, it might be worth trying them at least once

I bought plain and chocolate flavored donuts for takeout because I was in a hurry. When I tried them at home, they were a bit too oily for my liking. Once is enough. The store was quite busy with people, but it had a cozy atmosphere.

I came across a sign that said "Coffee and Taiwanese Donuts" and couldn't resist going in. It's located right near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. I had coffee and a plain donut. It reminded me of the donuts I had at a night market in Taiwan. The interior of the shop was chic, and I enjoyed a leisurely tea time.

After eating sushi in Temma, it's time for dessert. Passing through the familiar grounds of Temma Tenjin Shrine since childhood, we saw children dressed up for Shichi-Go-San and a monkey performer on the way out of the North Gate. We took a commemorative photo at the Temma Tenjin Shoshaitei rakugo theater. Right next to it is a shop that opened in September this year. Since there were three of us, we each ordered something different. I had a plain donut for 300 yen and a coffee for 550 yen. The donut had a crispy outer layer and was tasty, but the flavor was a bit lacking. My friends had a chocolate donut for 400 yen and a milk donut for 320 yen. The shop is usually not crowded, but on this Saturday, it was packed with young people. We were the only older customers there. We may have seemed a bit odd, taking lots of photos.

After finishing a sushi lunch that lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes, we left the grounds of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine where a monkey show was taking place, and exited through the north gate for dessert time with three people~♪ We visited the rakugo theater "Tenma Tenjin Shosho-tei" and then headed to "JUSTICE BROWN," a dessert shop that opened in September this year. Two weeks ago, I had a late lunch there and tried the "Roulo Fan" and "Taiwanese Donuts (kinako)." It was a weekday back then, so it was almost empty, but this time it was a Saturday and the place was nearly full, very lively. We sat at a central table and ordered the following: Original Blend Coffee (Hot) for 550 yen and Taiwanese Castella (Chocolate) for 400 yen. The items arrived in 10 minutes, and we dug in (^o^)/ All three of us had hot coffee and Taiwanese Castella, but the flavors were "Plain" and "Milk." We tried a bit of each. The Castella was huge, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, but the "Plain" one felt a bit lacking in flavor, and the "Chocolate" one was the most delicious. Well, there was a big price difference between them, so it makes sense (laughs). We received various souvenirs from the other two, but I hadn't prepared anything to share, so I covered the bill for all of us as a treat. We spent 40 minutes there before walking 800 meters to a shop that sells Basque cheesecake. Bon appétit (●^o^●)

"JUSTICE BROWN" is located about a 5-minute walk from Osaka Tenmangu Station. Here, you can enjoy the popular Taiwanese donuts. Taiwanese donuts are regular donuts that are coated in batter and fried twice. The crispy texture on the outside and the fluffy inside are the charm of these donuts. I tried the donut coated in milk powder, and the smooth taste of milk dances on the tongue, while the crispy texture on the outside and the moist texture inside create a delightful taste experience.

I visited "JUSTICE BROWN," a newly opened cafe in Osaka located next to the north gate of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, just a 2-minute bike ride away, for a late lunch on November 11, 2022. The cafe mainly focuses on Taiwanese donuts and drinks, but they also offer a limited lunch set of "Lu Rou Fan" (Taiwanese braised pork rice) with soup and almond jelly. The interior of the cafe was modern and stylish, with a small old-fashioned exterior. We ordered Taiwanese beer, Lu Rou Fan set, and a kinako (soybean flour) Taiwanese donut. The Taiwanese beer was easy to drink and enjoyable. The Lu Rou Fan was a flavorful dish with braised pork, large bamboo shoots, pickled vegetables, and blanched greens. We finished the meal with soup and mini almond jelly before indulging in the delicious Taiwanese donut. Overall, the experience was delightful, and I look forward to trying their milk Taiwanese donut and coffee next time. Cheers to a great meal!

In November 2022, I went to "JUSTICE BROWN" near Temma Tenjin Shosukeitei for lunch. It is a specialty coffee and Taiwanese donut shop, but this time I was aiming for the braised pork rice. When I looked at it from the outside, I thought it might be a small shop, but once inside, it was actually spacious. First, I ordered at the register: Braised pork rice set for 900 yen, Taiwanese beer for 660 yen (50 yen off when combined with the set), and Taiwanese donut (milk) for 320 yen. I sat at a table and after a short wait, the braised pork rice arrived! (Comes with soup and almond tofu.) Let's dig in. Braised pork rice: I wonder if it has star anise in it? I didn't really feel any unique flavor (maybe because it's a cafe version), but it was easy to eat and well-prepared. It had plenty of large bamboo shoots, which got me excited. The portion wasn't huge, but it was delicious with the soup and almond tofu included. Taiwanese donut: I thought it was a bit pricey for a donut, but once I tried it, it was delicious! Made with 100% domestic wheat, plenty of fresh cream and fermented butter, it had a crispy outside and chewy inside. It was also quite filling, and I think the price is justified. I will definitely come back again. I want to try all the varieties in the future. Thank you for the meal!

A new shop opened in front of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. When I visited at the opening time of 11:30, there was already one group of customers. After that, couples and groups of women came in, making the place lively. They serve Taiwanese donuts, which are different from regular donuts as they are fried. They had plain, chocolate, milk, and soybean flour flavors lined up, and I chose the milk flavor. It caught my attention that they use Yotsuba milk. I also ordered a coffee. The milk donut cost 320 yen, and the original blend coffee cost 500 yen. I paid with PayPay. The coffee had a slightly acidic taste and was delicious. The donut was crispy like fried bread, and the sweetness of the milk was nice. It may be slightly expensive, but the atmosphere inside the shop was stylish and calm, and the staff were friendly. A good spot for a break.

A trendy cafe that opened on 9/1. They serve specialty coffee and Taiwanese donuts! It's located just a bit off the main shopping street, but easy to find. The interior is super cute, with brown decor and slightly dim lighting for a cozy atmosphere.
- Taiwanese Donut (Plain) ¥300
- Taiwanese Donut (Milk) ¥320
They have three types of donuts, including chocolate and the two mentioned above. The Taiwanese donuts were a new experience for me, crispy on the outside but fluffy inside, a light and enjoyable treat even after lunch. I tried the Milk flavor, and with each bite, the rich sweetness of the milk powder gradually comes through. Highly recommended for those with a sweet tooth like me!
- Iced Cafe Latte ¥600
They also have a variety of Taiwanese teas. It was too hot that day, so I opted for the iced latte. They offer takeout for all items until 6 pm. I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the meal.

I found this stylish cafe on my way back from Temmangu Shrine, called Hanseitei. It's only about a 30-second walk away! They specialize in Taiwanese donuts and specialty coffee. From the outside, you wouldn't guess how spacious it is inside, with plenty of well-spaced tables. The atmosphere is relaxed and super cozy. I tried the plain donut and iced coffee set for around 1000 yen, which may seem a bit pricey, but I wanted to try the Taiwanese donut! It looks quite different from regular donuts. The outside is crispy while the inside is chewy, offering a unique texture compared to regular donuts like Mister Donut. I went on a weekday afternoon when they had just opened, so it wasn't crowded and I could relax. The coffee and donuts were delicious, and the ambiance was great, so I highly recommend it!

A new cafe has opened next to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine! When I searched online, I found out that the cafe specializes in Taiwanese donuts and drinks, but they also offer a limited lunch menu of Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese minced pork rice) with only 10 servings per day. This was my first visit to JUSTICEBROWN. The cafe is located at 1F Daikumachi Kyoei Building, 2-4-3 Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka City, a 3-minute walk from Minami-Mori Station on the Osaka Metro. It is situated on the way from the north side of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine to Tenjinbashi Suji Shopping Street, near Hancho-tei. I arrived at the shop a little after 12 pm. The shop is closed on Sundays and open from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. I used the alcohol disinfectant at the entrance to sanitize my hands and got permission for taking photos. There were three types of Taiwanese donuts displayed in the showcase. I chose to dine in. I asked if the Lu Rou Fan was still available, and they confirmed it was. After paying, I sat at a table. The colorful counter and chairs were perfect for a cafe setting. After a short wait, my meal arrived. The Lu Rou Fan came with soup and a mini almond jelly. I started with the soup, which was rich and flavorful with beaten egg and green onions. The Lu Rou Fan consisted of braised pork, bamboo shoots, menma, and pickles. The pork cooked with 10 types of whole spices was aromatic and delicious. Mixing it all together, the combination of textures from the bamboo shoots and pickles added a nice touch. The mini almond jelly was made from almond seeds and had a gentle sweetness from cream and condensed milk. It was a delightful end to the meal. I thanked the staff and left JUSTICEBROWN feeling satisfied. "Thank you for the delicious meal!"
