Today, after school, I met up with my wife and we went to Yoshinoya. I ordered a special large beef bowl and 3 pieces of fried chicken as a side. My wife ordered a chicken and egg bowl which was okay. It's best when there is no waiting time. Personally, I prefer fried chicken from specialty shops, but as a side menu, it's not bad.

My daughters know very well that I love Yoshinoya. They showed me a tweet from Yoshinoya's official account saying, "When you go, make sure to try this!" Apparently, they have started a collaboration with "Jujutsu Kaisen." I usually follow along with the anime my daughters watch, but this one didn't really catch my interest. Anyway, I go to Yoshinoya once a week, so I went and tried it. You have to choose from the selected options to get the "Jujutsu meal." I ordered the "Gyudon (regular size) set" for 536 yen. It seems like it comes with a salad. I also got a 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' premium card. I wonder if anyone really wants this kind of card... (laughs) I brought it back without opening the package, and when I gave it to my daughter, she was so excited saying, "It's cute." I hope she's okay... Well, at least my love for Yoshinoya came in handy a bit. However, Yoshinoya... 28 stamps seems impossible... Oh well, the beef bowl was delicious as always. Let's see how many stamps I can collect.

Recently, I haven't had many options for lunch during weekdays within walking distance, so I decided to go to Yoshinoya for the first time in a while. In the past, I had the image of a cramped counter with salarymen in suits packed in, quickly eating their beef bowls. But looking at it now, it has changed quite a bit. The counter only has one row, with most of the seating being tables. It's a bit strange to see people sitting in a row facing the opposite side of the counter. Well, since it's been a while since I've been to Yoshinoya, I decided to go with the classic beef bowl instead of the newer set menu options. I splurged and got miso soup and an egg as well. My colleagues who came with me seem to come here occasionally, but they opted for the chicken karaage set instead of the beef bowl. It looked delicious, so I might switch to that next time. As for the taste of the beef bowl... there's really nothing new to say. It's the usual classic taste of Yoshinoya. With the large size, miso soup, and egg, it became a luxurious beef bowl costing over 700 yen.

I usually don't have breakfast, but today I had to go out early in the morning, so I had breakfast for the first time in a long time at Yoshinoya. When I used to go there often during my student days, there weren't so many options for breakfast, but now there are various choices available. I chose the grilled salted mackerel and natto set meal. It comes with salted mackerel, natto, grated daikon radish, salad, rice, and miso soup, quite a generous lineup for just one coin with change! So cheap! The taste may not be anything special, but it's definitely satisfying! It's been a while since I had natto and it was delicious! Whenever I come here, I always feel like having pickled ginger, but this time there wasn't a side dish to go with it, so I resisted the temptation. Thank you for the meal.

The Giants' season has come to an end. It's disappointing to miss out on the CS, but that's the nature of the game. Win and you rejoice, lose and you sigh. It's sad that we have to wait until next year for more moments like this. There were various dramas this season - some players excelled, some struggled, and some had to leave the team. Today, I found myself in Fukuoka City, Higashi-ku. With no time to choose a restaurant, I ended up at Yoshinoya Fukuoka Harada branch. I tried the Aged Cod Roe Beef Set (580 yen), a Kyushu limited menu collaboration with Yama-ya. The cod roe was served whole and had a nice spiciness that paired well with the rice. After finishing the cod roe, I added the beef to the rice and topped it with chopped pickled ginger, transforming it into a delicious beef bowl. It was a satisfying meal. Bon appétit. As I continue on my journey, I reflect on the past and move forward without regrets.

I happened to pass by a newly opened Yoshinoya when I was driving around the neighborhood, so I decided to have lunch there. It's a very convenient location with Hirao-ya West, a tempura restaurant nearby. I ordered the Barley and Beef Bowl Set, which seems to be a summer limited menu item. For 580 yen, it comes with barley rice, grated yam, okra, beef, and miso soup, which I think is a good deal. The barley rice was a bit dry, so it's better to eat it with the grated yam on top. The okra is easier to eat when mixed with the grated yam. Overall, the meal had a light flavor, and I finished it all without any problem.
