This time, I had miso stewed udon (red miso) for lunch in the store, and I got kimchi rice to go for dinner. After a short wait, a hot pot of udon appeared. The lid of the hot pot was opened in front of me, and smoke rose up, allowing me to fully enjoy the aroma of miso. Yay! Because it was in a hot pot, it stayed warm for a long time. It was too hot to eat directly, so I transferred it to a wooden plate, which cooled it down to a comfortable temperature. The udon had a firm texture, giving me a sense of Nagoya style. It was topped with plenty of mizuna, fried tofu, and green onions, along with a cute fish cake with an elephant print and an egg, creating a blissful combination. Even when I added yuzu shichimi spice, the strong taste of red miso overshadowed the spiciness of the shichimi, and instead, the refreshing taste of yuzu stood out. This was also a great way to change the flavor. The kimchi rice had minced meat and kimchi on top of white rice, and for takeout, there was a hot spring egg wrapped in aluminum foil to prevent it from breaking on the way home. The minced meat was absolutely delicious! It was rich in flavor, but when mixed with white rice, it was just right. It was so delicious that the next day, I found myself craving "the miso from that place!" due to the tasty miso dishes.

I entered the restaurant around 11:00 and it was quite popular with customers coming and going. I was told to sit wherever I liked, but the counter was not clean so I had to move to an available table. I ordered the Pudding Zou Cookie Cafe Latte, which was delicious with a rich pudding flavor. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed as there was only one person managing everything.

About a 10-minute walk from Marutamachi subway station. Went to Cafe Zou. The booth seats were all taken, so I sat at the counter. Well, since I'm alone, anywhere is fine (laughs). While looking at the menu, I thought I wanted to have crepes and pudding. Then I saw it! A crepe with pudding on top (laughs). Couldn't choose the type of crepe, but it was good enough (laughs). The crepe was a normal butter and sugar crepe. The pudding was lightly sweet and firm. Since there was no spoon, I ate it with a fork (laughs). The firm pudding was delicious!

I used it for breakfast. I was able to get a 110 yen discount on toast. I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. There is a dedicated bicycle parking lot, so you can visit by bike. The menu was extensive, so I would like to visit again.

I visited a cafe in Kyoto for the first time and enjoyed a tropical soda in a pure coffee shop atmosphere. I arrived on a Sunday morning at 10 o'clock and was seated immediately without having to wait outside. The cafe is located in a residential area slightly away from the city. I ordered a cream soda and enjoyed the tropical soda in a pure coffee shop atmosphere. It was delicious!

I went around 15:30 on Sunday and there was no line, so I was able to get in right away. There was parking in front of the shop, so I parked there. I ordered a lemon squash. The balance of sourness and sweetness was good, and it was a hot day so the carbonation was refreshing.

This cafe is like a dream, combining cuteness, Instagrammable vibes, retro atmosphere, and delicious food! The cafe is not very big but very stylish! The main theme of the cafe is elephants. The shirasu cheese toast has a lot of ingredients and the cheese stretches so much! You can customize it with yuzu pepper, which makes it even more delicious! The crepe is not too chewy but rather crispy on the outside with sugar spread inside for extra sweetness! This attention to detail really brings out the deliciousness. Everyone seems to always order the cream soda with elephant cookies for an extra 100 yen! The ice cream is a rich vanilla sherbet! It tastes like the delicious ice cream sold in front of the main gate during elementary school sports festivals, bringing back nostalgic memories! The cookies are really tasty and the pudding is a bit firm and rich! Everything was exciting and delicious! There is no parking lot, but there are many parking lots nearby! It is recommended to park in front of the store rather than looking for a parking lot nearby. If you enter the store's address in your car, you will find it when you arrive. This was the best cafe I visited this year! I want to go again!

I was drawn to the size of the dashimaki tamago and ordered it for takeout. The slight sweetness might be from the original miso flavor. It's a unique egg sandwich with a different taste. It's delicious even when cold. The portion size is also very satisfying.

Arrived at the restaurant on Sunday morning at 9:20 am with two people. Since there were no other customers, we chose to sit at the table furthest back.
- Butter Toast: The toast was similar to banana toast or red bean butter toast, with a light and fluffy texture. It is recommended to generously spread the rich butter on top.
- Strawberry Cafe Latte: We were drawn to its visual appeal and decided to order it. It had a two-layered design with coffee on top and strawberry milk on the bottom, resembling the contrast of cherry blossom trees. The refreshing taste of the cafe latte combined with the gentle sweetness of the strawberry milk was delightful. It is a unique menu item that can be enjoyed even when ordered separately.
- Meat Miso Egg Sandwich: This was the choice of my companion. I have had it before, so I will not provide a review, but the combination of egg and meat miso was still exquisite. There seemed to be a slight sweetness in all the dishes.
- Coffee: This was my companion's order. I had also tried it before. It had a rich yet easy-to-drink taste that would likely appeal to everyone.

There was a café called Paoon in Chitose Funabashi that had almost the same register, selling keychains and such. They offer cream soda that you can't smoke and egg sandwiches, which taste the same as Paoon. Surprisingly, there were few customers, making it easy. It's a bit far from the station, but they have Wi-Fi and accept PayPay.

Meat miso rice. I don't usually eat miso, but since this place seems like a miso shop, I decided to try the meat miso. The meat miso was surprisingly rich and strong, with a big kick of red miso. The rice portion was too small. The vegetables didn't seem very fresh. I think I'll stick to toast from now on. I wonder if curry also has miso in it? However, I'm curious about the white miso simmered udon. The cafe latte had a cute elephant art on it! The pudding and cream soda also looked delicious. The cafe seems to have a lot of customers coming and going, so it might be more of a place to grab a quick meal rather than relax. It may depend on the time of day.

Arrived at the store at 8:55 am on a weekday. There were no other customers yet. Right after the store opened at 9:00 am, I sat at the table farthest from the entrance. Only two middle-aged men arrived 5 minutes after the opening, and the atmosphere inside the store was very quiet.
- Anko Butter Toast (495 yen)
* During morning hours (9:00-10:30), there is a discount of 110 yen
I had been curious about the Banana Mont Toast, so I ordered it this time. Golden toast with plenty of chunky sweet bean paste on top, and a slice of butter. It's a typical Nagoya dish. The toast at the bottom is the same thickness as the Banana Mont's bread. It has a subtle sweetness and a rich wheat aroma. I recommend spreading both the sweet bean paste and butter evenly to enjoy the sweetness and umami alternately. You might also want to order the Zou Cookie at the same time.
- Cafe Latte Hot (550 yen)
Served in a white teacup with a cute elephant latte art on top. The art varies from day to day. It has a creamy and smooth flavor, with a hint of bitterness and a strong aroma. Of course, it pairs perfectly with the toast. I was able to enjoy a quiet and wonderful morning time. There are still more menu items I'm curious about, so I would like to visit again next time.

Today I had breakfast at "Zoumeshiya" in Kyoto, which is a popular restaurant originally from Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. I couldn't visit when I lived in Nagoya, so I took the opportunity to try it out in Kyoto. I ordered the egg sandwich for 780 yen, custard pudding for 450 yen, and cream soda for 580 yen. The egg sandwich was fluffy and filled with a thin layer of seasoned minced meat, which was delicious. The custard pudding was firm and well-steamed, not too bitter, but very tasty. Overall, I indulged in a satisfying breakfast. Thank you for the meal!

I have visited this place several times already. This time, I came for breakfast.
- Shop atmosphere
I arrived at the shop at 10:18 am on Sunday. I was worried about the crowd because it's a popular place, but luckily there was no line and I was able to enter smoothly. However, as expected, the table seats were already filled with a few customers. After waiting at the entrance for a while, I was guided to the counter seats by the staff. I placed my order there.
- Coffee Hot (495 yen)
I ordered it and it was served in a few minutes. The cup had a simple design with the shop's logo. It had a slight acidity along with the typical bitterness of coffee. It had a refreshing taste, perfect for accompanying breakfast.
- Banana Toast (495 yen) *110 yen off from 9:00-10:30
This arrived a little after the coffee. It was plain Yamagata bread topped with sliced bananas sprinkled with cinnamon. Since the bread itself was not flavored, I could fully enjoy the sweetness of the banana. I was captivated by the aroma of cinnamon spreading through my nostrils and the crispy yet fluffy texture of the toast, and I finished it in no time. It was nice to spend a leisurely time on a holiday morning. There are still other items I'm interested in, so I would like to visit again next month or later.

Wednesday 9:00 AM, I arrived at Cafe Zou a little before opening. Unfortunately, it was raining, but there was no line, so I was the first one in. I headed straight to the table at the back of the store as soon as it opened. I ordered a miso egg sandwich for 858 yen, an anko butter toast for 495 yen, a custard pudding for 495 yen, a blue cream soda for 726 yen, and a spicy apple drink for 726 yen. Since my daughter was with me, we ordered a variety of items. I asked for them to come out at the same time, and except for the egg sandwich, everything arrived almost simultaneously. The cream soda and spicy apple drink looked very appealing. The food, with Nagoya-style seasoning, suited our taste very well, and the unique egg sandwich and anko butter toast were delicious. The pudding was firm and the caramel sauce was rich. The place quickly got crowded, and by the time we left, there was a line outside. I now want to try other items on the menu. Thank you for the meal.

I live in Nagoya but I had never been to the Nagoya branch, so when I happened to be in Kyoto, I stopped by for a break. It's always crowded here so it may take a bit of time to get your order, but the coffee is delicious. I ordered a cafe latte and the creamy layer on top was so delicious that I couldn't help but exclaim. It was so tasty that I want to come back again. I think I'll also try the Nagoya branch.

The day before, I went bar hopping and stayed over at a friend's apartment❣️ In the morning, I took a stroll and went to get coffee, but my favorite coffee shop, which according to Tabelog opens at 9 am, was closed and actually opens at 10 am (ToT). Hmm, I wonder if there's another place nearby. I checked Tabelog right away‼️ Zousan was open, lucky me. My friend had never been there before. It's run by a miso shop from Nagoya, but it looks like a cafe. They have miso stew on the menu. I was just planning to have coffee, but I was a bit hungry from walking, so my friend and I shared a tamago sandwich. It was so delicious(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡. The thick tamago bread had seasoned minced meat inside❣️ Wow, it's so tasty, my friend and I agreed. It was great that we came to this place. The parfait here is very popular on Instagram and during the day, it's packed with young people. It's very close to my friend's apartment on the Goshonai side, so next time I stay over, I'll come here to eat❣️

A café located in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto. Riding the wave of the retro café boom, there is usually a line forming. I passed by a few times but always skipped due to the line. This time, there was no line outside so I decided to take a look inside. It was packed, so I had to wait a bit outside. After doing some research, I found out that the main shop is in Aichi Prefecture, and this is the third branch in the series, the first in Kyoto. I noticed they had miso stewed udon on the menu, which explains the popularity. I ordered a hot coffee and pudding, which came to a total of 990 yen (tax included). They asked if I wanted milk with my coffee. The coffee cup had an elephant design. The overall décor was youthful, with the average age of customers being around 20-30. It seemed to attract Instagram enthusiasts, as a young man with a big camera was taking his time to snap some photos. Sugar was in a box with other tableware. The caramel on the pudding had a slight bitterness, balancing out the sweetness nicely. The coffee was slightly dark roasted, with a strong bitterness that paired well with the pudding. It felt more like a traditional café than a coffee specialty shop. I was lucky to avoid the line this time, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time there. They also had magazines and newspapers for customers to read, indicating they welcome guests to stay and linger.

Finally visited! I've wanted to go for so long, and first of all, the interior is a bit small but has a cozy atmosphere which was nice. Most importantly, the staff were great, with a kind and pleasant demeanor! The cream soda was cute in appearance and I took lots of photos! The soda had a gentle flavor that you can keep drinking more and more!
