Visited Lipton's Hankyu Umeda Main Store to purchase a birthday gift and decided to revisit. Enjoyed an iced milk tea and Sultana cookie at the tea stand. Today's iced milk tea was Breakfast tea, refreshing yet with a strong tea flavor. The Sultana cookie was delicious, although the dried fruit Sultanas stuck to my teeth a bit.

I visited the Lipton's Hankyu Umeda Main Store. I had a Cold Brew Tea (¥330) and Oats Crunch Biscuit (¥88). The Cold Brew Tea was refreshing and delicious with a gold color. The Oats Crunch Biscuit was not too sweet and had a nice crisp texture. The staff was friendly and polite. I also bought a gold can, ginger biscuit, and oats crunch biscuit for takeout. I love this tea shop.

[Personal Impression] There was an event for hometown tax return gifts at the first floor of Hankyu Department Store, and I got tired from walking around shopping. Then I found this tea stand. There was a coffee stand next to it, but I was in the mood for tea that day. The Royal Milk Tea seemed to be popular, but I wanted something refreshing, so I chose straight Earl Grey. It had a nice aroma and was delicious and refreshing! I'd like to try the Royal Milk Tea next time. Thank you for the meal!

I purchased tea bags online and wanted to check if my way of brewing tea is correct. I visited a tea shop during the weekday tea time and luckily there were no other customers. I ordered a hot milk tea for 350 yen, shortbread for 100 yen, and oat crunch for 100 yen (excluding tax). The milk tea took about 4 minutes to prepare, and it had a refreshing taste when served hot. The shortbread was lighter than I expected. There was a limit of two items per person for popular items, but I was satisfied after trying them once.

RINGTONS Tea Stand (Hankyu Department Store, Osaka) I finished eating my tonpeiyaki, but it's not even 12:30 yet. Now, I'm thinking of taking a walk before heading back, but before that, I'll buy some iced tea at the "Rinton Tea Stand" right in front of me. In the past, after lunch, I used to enjoy a leisurely lunchtime by going somewhere (like a cafe) to have coffee before heading back. However, that culture seems to have disappeared as I started venturing to more distant places. Today, even though I walked quite far, the tonpeiyaki was quickly finished as it was reheated, and I still have some time, so I decided to have a drink, not coffee, but tea. I bought a cold Earl Grey tea, and ended up exploring the building near the station. It's fun to explore while holding a drink in hand. The ice is there, but it's not overly filled, and the perfect balance of coldness and not getting diluted is delightful. Come to think of it, when Starbucks opened in the Yasuda Life Building in Nishi-Umeda, I used to go there every day. I started with Frappuccino, then switched to iced cocoa. ...Just drink your coffee. (2022.7.29) RINGTONS Tea Stand Osaka City, Kita Ward, Umeda 1-13-13 Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store 1F

Linton's, a tea specialty store on the 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store. I felt like having something cold after my meal, so I stopped by. I ordered an Iced Milk Tea (Earl Grey) for 396 yen. Today's tea leaves were Breakfast for hot and Earl Grey for iced. They serve it without sugar, so I grabbed some simple syrup and headed to a stand table. Even if this spot is taken, there are plenty of stand tables along the opposite wall. A very gentle milk tea (^-^) Good quality black tea.

This is the only shop in the world that sells British tea and cookies. There are no direct stores even in the UK, but a direct store has opened here in Hankyu Umeda. I visited on a holiday morning and although there was quite a line, I was able to buy quickly. The shortbread cookies are limited to 2 per person, and everyone was buying them. My mom was curious so we waited in line and bought them, and when we tried them at home... they were delicious!! They have a buttery taste but not too heavy, and even though one is a large size, you can't stop eating it. It has a dry and crispy texture, but it's so tasty!! I'm not a big fan of cookies, but I really want to eat these again and even give them to my friends!! I'll definitely go back to buy more!!! ~~~~ Second time I went to buy them again since they were so delicious the first time!! The shortbread cookies are still limited to 2 per person, so of course I bought 2 again!! They are still delicious as ever!! I heard that the milk tea they serve here is really good, and they also sell it in the store so I want to try it as a takeaway!! I also want to buy the tea itself!! (They sell it in tea bags which is convenient to use!!) In the UK, it seems that using tea bags to brew tea is common, and most people like to drink it as milk tea!! I want to buy the precious tea leaves called Gold that they use for their tea!! (By the way, the tea they sell for drinking also uses this Gold tea)

Weekend, around 5:30 PM. It was bustling.
A tea specialty store located on the 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store in Osaka Station.
They mainly sell tea leaves for takeout, and the only option available for drinking on the spot is milk tea!
They have one type of hot tea, Gold Blend, and one type of iced tea, Earl Grey.
Hot milk tea costs 385 yen including tax. It was delicious and refreshing, with no bitterness. The tea is made in advance, which was surprising, but the large cup size was appreciated. The cup design is elegant and chic.
This is a good value for money in the middle of Umeda. They also sell bread and sweets on the same floor, which is perfect for enjoying with the tea.
Thank you for the meal.

Last October, a shop of the long-established British tea merchant "Linton's" opened on the first floor food floor of Hankyu Department Store. It's the only permanent shop like this in the world, so I was really looking forward to visiting. I hadn't been to Osaka by myself in a while, so I decided to stop by. The shop had a lovely blue-gray wall and was surprisingly spacious, with lots of tea and biscuits on display. The products were easy to see and touch, making it easy to choose. I ended up buying just one cookie since I still had tea at home that a friend had bought for me right after the shop opened. I also had a hot tea at the tea stand inside the shop. Linton's tea, loved for over 100 years in the UK, is only available for delivery and not in department stores or supermarkets. The tea is from regions in northern England and Scotland, known for their soft water just like Japan. It's a delicious tea without any bitterness.

Established in 1907, the world's first directly managed store of a long-established British tea merchant is located on the 1st floor of the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store. This is my first time visiting. The tea bags are said to be the most delicious in the world, with a mellow and rich aroma, and a high-quality sweetness from fresh tea leaves. I tried the Hot Milk Tea TS Gold for 378 yen, which comes with milk already added and no default sugar. The sweetness from the tea leaves is stronger than the milk, creating a nice balance that makes it enjoyable. The portion is generous, which is a plus.

I traveled to Kumano in Wakayama at the end of the year. During my stay, I also visited Osaka and Kobe, so I would like to share my experience in a diary. First, I visited a milk tea stand that was recommended on a blog that introduces Kansai shops. "Ringtons" is a tea shop that was founded in the UK in 1907, and they opened their first directly managed store in Osaka's Hankyu Department Store. The shop is located on the first floor of Hankyu Department Store, which is a floor dedicated to bread, snacks, and a food terrace. You order at the counter, receive your drink, and enjoy it standing at a table. They offer only hot or iced milk tea, and two types of biscuits. I tried the hot milk tea and ginger biscuit. The milk tea was surprisingly refreshing, with a strong tea flavor. The ginger biscuit was crispy and spicy, making it a delicious pairing with the milk tea. Despite being in a busy area, you can still enjoy a relaxing time sipping on your milk tea.

I visited the newly renovated Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store, which reopened on October 8th for the first time. The new food floor on the first floor is a paradise for food lovers. After walking around, I got thirsty and decided to take a break. I found a British tea shop called Linton's. I ordered an iced milk tea for 360 yen (excluding tax) because it was hot inside the department store. The Earl Grey milk tea was delicious, and I enjoyed the aroma. I searched the shop and found out that Linton's is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne in northeast England, founded in 1907. It was the first shop to open in Japan, specifically at Hankyu Department Store in Osaka. I wonder why they chose Hankyu Department Store. Anyway, the tea was delicious. I enjoyed it and decided to take another stroll around. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.Visited on 21.12.05.

I visited in the early evening on a weekday. There were about 4 customers. The Gold tea leaves were already sold out, and the next batch will be in 7 days, showing how popular it is. They also sell cookies. Paper bags are available for a fee, and they come in stylish white and black options.

Recently, the food section of Hankyu Department Store in Umeda, Osaka has been renovated and upgraded! Amidst this, I decided to visit Lintons, a rumored-to-be exclusive tea shop only found in the Hankyu main store in Japan. Lintons is a long-established tea brand from the tea capital, England, known for delivering quality tea leaves to households by horse-drawn carriage in the past. Even now, their sales area remains limited. What a treat - you can enjoy your tea right in the store, although there are no chairs. You can choose from a variety of teas and cookies - they probably have coffee too. I tried the iced milk tea with Earl Grey and the oat crunch tea, both were mild and delicious without any bitterness. The cookies were also pleasantly sweet and had a homemade feel. It was a delightful experience.

I came to Umeda. Hankyu Department Store reopened on October 8th. On the first floor food section, the world's first permanent shop of Linton's, an English tea merchant founded in 1907, has opened. This tea merchant gathers tea professionals who know tea leaves from around the world, from tea leaf production at selected farms worldwide to tea leaf appraisal, tasting, blending, and packaging. It seemed like a grand opening, so I decided to stop by. The shop has a counter in front and offers seating for eating in. There are plenty of retail shelves surrounding the area. At the counter, they offer British tea merchant's milk tea, with only hot Gold and iced Earl Grey available. I chose the Gold, which cost 378 yen. When I ordered, I also received a shortbread biscuit as a bonus. There are three tables set up for standing and enjoying your tea. The Gold tea comes in a cup with the trademark horse-drawn carriage illustration. It is a generous serving. I took off the lid and tried it - it has a scent but a relatively mild flavor. Maybe because there is so much milk in it? I felt it was a bit lacking, so I added some sugar provided on the side to sweeten it. The shortbread is crispy on the outside and moist inside. It has a rich buttery flavor with a subtle sweetness. Even at a traditional British tea merchant, you can enjoy an authentic British tea break conveniently and affordably while shopping at Hankyu Department Store.

After finishing my business at the hospital in Osaka, I decided to explore the newly renovated Hankyu Department Store. Feeling a bit lightheaded from fasting since 8:00 PM the night before for my examination, I wanted to replenish my sugar levels first (laughs). The retail space was popular with some items already sold out. My main goal was to dine in, so I ordered a hot milk tea (blend name: Gold) for 378 yen including tax. I was lucky to receive a shortbread biscuit as a gift for the grand opening. The dining space had 3 tables available. It's rare to find a casual tea specialty store where you can dine in, so I would like to visit again when I'm in the mood for tea. Next time, I'll try the ice cream.

For a limited time, you will receive one shortbread with your order. There are only three stand tables in front of the store, but there is a counter nearby for events where you can enjoy your drink. The blend name is Gold from the English tea merchant's milk tea hot.

I went to Linton's at Hankyu Department Store. Is this the only place in the world where you can find this, not just in Japan? I went around lunchtime on a weekday and it was quite crowded, but I was able to get a drink right away. There were tables set up in front of the store where you could stand and enjoy your drink. Before COVID, I didn't mind sharing a table with strangers at all... I ended up buying shortbread and cookies, which were sold individually. I decided on shortbread because when you think of England, you think of shortbread, right? I opted for the cold milk tea since it was still hot outside. I heard that dipping cookies in warm milk tea is delicious, so I might try that when the weather gets cooler. There were also various items for sale that caught my eye, but I got distracted by the weekly event happening right in front of me. I'll have to come back to check out the merchandise later.

I tried the hot milk tea with breakfast blend and shortbread at the Ringtons tea stand in the UK. It was reasonably priced and a nice place for a tea break. They have a great selection of tea leaves, so I would like to come back to buy tea for gifts or everyday use.
