I stayed at a new style of accommodation for the first time!!!! It was about half the usual price, so it was such a great deal. There were about 15 different types of baths with various scents and colors (aloe, ginger, mint, sake, Beaujolais Nouveau, apple, etc.). My favorite was the honey bath, which made me feel like Winnie the Pooh. The dinner and breakfast were buffet style, but they also had a table service where dishes were brought to your table. For dinner, they served cheese fondue, beef stew, and herbal soup, while for breakfast, they had clam chowder, sweet red bean soup, and cold udon noodles. My top food rankings were soft serve ice cream (made with local milk) for dinner, and crepes with soft serve ice cream for breakfast. The food was delicious, especially the soft serve ice cream. They even had live cooking stations for ramen and pho, which were prepared with care and not like frozen food. What made me happiest was that even the dressings were homemade, and the attention to detail, like chef-made ketchup, was a nice touch. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't delicious. The variety was extensive, and the presentation was creative and fun. They even had a low table for kids, so it's a great place for families. The meat was tender, and the desserts were chef-made, so they tasted like proper sweets, not commercial products. The baths, food, and rooms were spacious, and I was completely satisfied. The baths were so good that I didn't have enough time, so I want to come back again. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for the meal!

This year, we visited Midori no Kaze Resort again. My son enjoys the kids' space, pool, stargazing, and athletics at Soraniwa every year, so we always come here. The room and bath are spacious, even three people can relax comfortably together. The room is also very spacious. The fridge always has Asahi beer, green tea, and water, two of each for each person. The large communal outdoor bath, accessible by elevator, offers colorful outdoor baths of various sizes, making it highly recommended! Now, here is this year's recommended ranking: 1. I usually don't go to buffets because I have a small appetite, but I really enjoyed the buffet here. There was a variety of colorful vegetables, roast beef, roast pork, sushi, desserts, and more lined up, which got me excited just looking at them. They had a good selection of dishes from Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines, all with high quality and originality. Since the dining time was limited, the place was crowded but it was easy to get what you wanted as they kept replenishing the food. They also had a wagon serving special dishes of the day, including warm dishes. The local vegetables were delicious, and I especially liked the chestnut parfait made live.

Both the dinner buffet and breakfast buffet were excellent. The quality and variety of dishes, such as lobster gratin and beef stew, were top-notch. Personally, I thought the Chinese cuisine was particularly high-level. I would definitely want to stay at this inn again.

It was a comfort trip ★ The buffet was extremely abundant, and as a carb lover, I couldn't resist the curry, ramen, sushi, soba, pho, pasta, risotto, penne, etc. They were all delicious... but the best was probably the curry. I couldn't get enough of it. Also, the freshly baked crepes for breakfast were great. You can choose your favorite toppings. Overall, I had a great time in Kitayuzawa. It was even better than I imagined! It's also close to Sapporo, so I wouldn't mind coming here once a year.

One of the Wind Series hotels by Noguchi Kanko Group, located in Kitayuzawa, Green Wind. I have reviewed the Wind of Nono at Lake Toya many times, but this is my first visit here. As the name suggests, surrounded by magnificent nature as far as the eye can see, you can enjoy beautiful views throughout the hotel, including the rooms, open-air baths, and lobby. The buffet is consistently delicious, with a wide variety of options and a live kitchen! You won't get tired of it day or night. I really love Noguchi Kanko's buffet because it's so delicious ♡ And the wide variety of baths is fun too!! I was a little surprised by the many colorful baths, but personally, I might be fine with just the hot springs~ haha. I wonder if it's fun for children?? If the weather is good, you can opt for stargazing, and the hotel's audio room and reading room are also relaxing and enjoyable ♡ Compared to the Wind of Nono at Lake Toya and the Wind of the Strait in Hakodate, this place has even more of a family-friendly feel, so I recommend it to families with children ♡

I have stayed at several hotels in this chain before, but this was my first time at Midori no Kaze since the renovation! It was much better than I expected!! The bath!! The food!! I never had a good impression of buffets before, but there was no all-you-can-eat crab here. There were a lot of unique items like sauces, dressings, and cheeses. There were also many unusual small items to enjoy! I want to stay here again. Winter hot springs are the best after all!

I won! Haha, it's amazing how things like this can happen. Due to the timing, I was a bit hesitant, but since it was a great opportunity, I decided to take my two daughters and go on the trip. It's my first time visiting after the renovation, and I can't remember what the old building was like. The room is spacious and relaxing, a nice little getaway. For dinner, I thought it would be a buffet, but they actually prepared a private room for us. It was a worry-free and enjoyable experience. The hot pot rice was especially delicious. On the way to dinner, I saw what looked like a line, but it turned out to be the buffet line. I'm glad we didn't have to wait in line. The breakfast venue was the same as the dinner venue, with a wide variety of options. I took around 200 photos, but here are just a few. Overall, it was a wonderful gift. I enjoyed the benefits of Go To Travel and visited Midorinokaze Resort Kitayuzawa. After visiting 20 different hot springs, I replenished my nutrients with breakfast (lol) at a buffet. The breakfast buffet included a variety of Japanese, Western, Thai, and Chinese dishes. The menu conveyed a strong desire for local production and consumption by allowing guests to enjoy the local produce in a delicious way. The buffet allowed guests to choose what they wanted to eat while wearing transparent gloves on both hands. I was surprised by the wide variety of dishes. The most delicious dish I tried was the chef's special curry. It was packed with vegetables, had a rich flavor, and was really delicious. I highly recommend trying the curry and croissants here. While I think it might be better to reduce the number of items in the buffet, I also felt that it would be nice to have the option to choose Japanese, Western, or local dishes when making a reservation. I also thought it would be nice to be able to take the curry home as a souvenir. I look forward to experiencing some positive changes when I visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I remember going in the winter. Due to the pandemic, there were not many buffet options. There were no foreign tourists, so I was able to leisurely enjoy the many outdoor baths. The snowy scenery was also very beautiful.

I stayed for 2 nights, so I had French cuisine both days. It was nice that they changed the menu each day. The food was delicious. Towards the end, I started feeling full, but it was so tasty that I didn't want to leave anything. Since I don't get to go to such luxurious hot springs often, I think this amount of food adds to the sense of luxury.

Yanoguchi Kanko's Midori no Kaze Resort was my first visit, and I wanted to enjoy the hot springs. There were so many outdoor baths that it was confusing. The meals were buffet style with measures taken against infectious diseases. The menu felt slightly limited in variety.

The building is lovely. The lobby is also nice once you enter. The baths are large and this inn is famous for them. Inside the bath, there is an elevator, which was surprising! There are various types of baths, and it's quite magical when you enter in the dim light. In the morning, you can see the different colors of the bath waters clearly, almost like a bath salt tasting event. The buffet area is spacious, but customers tend to crowd around the food area right at the entrance, making it inefficient. The buffet is good for families with children. When you reach your late 50s, having dishes served to you might be more appreciated. The cart service with dishes like xiaolongbao was nice. However, as customers left, the plates were not cleared promptly, which was a bit of a letdown. In the morning, there were many colorful smoothies available, making it a vibrant and tasty experience. The morning also had a cart service, which was helpful. They cleared plates promptly after each round of breakfast.

The room was a mixture of Japanese and Western styles, spacious enough to accommodate 4.5 people. The dinner and breakfast were buffet style and fairly delicious. If I have the chance to come again, I would like to dine at the French restaurant instead of the buffet. The baths were very spacious with around 20 different types of indoor and outdoor baths to enjoy. The main open-air bath was particularly large at 150 square meters. In the relaxation library, there is a corner called "Guchibunko" with speakers for "Avant-garde Classic" music, which cost 2.6 million yen (per pair). The amplifier is a Mcintosh MA5200, which costs tens of thousands of yen. There are several jazz and classical CDs available for guests to listen to. I tried listening to the 2.6 million yen sound system, but I couldn't really tell the difference. Perhaps the design of the relaxation library room is not suitable for listening to music.

We're tired of Jozankei, so let's go to Midori no Kaze Resort Kitayuzawa! I'm looking forward to the Infinity open-air bath and the stylish atmosphere inside the hotel, part of the same Wind series. I love the lobby where we can enjoy a welcome drink and the lounge exclusively for guests. My partner, who loves buffets, is excited for dinner. Let's go! Right at the entrance, there are live-cooked steaks and warm dishes. Remember to start with the salad and appetizer corner before getting the steak last to keep it warm. Ask for a beer while they bring your food. Enjoy your meal. I will briefly mention recommended dishes and general impressions due to the variety of food. The shrimp and avocado salad is a great wine accompaniment, with a Vietnamese touch. The Chinese-style fried chicken with chili sauce is ethnic. The lean steak is a bit chewy but tender enough and tasty. The shiitake mushroom tempura with salt is excellent. The curry without water was a bit chicken-smelling. The table service includes dumplings, mini meat buns, chowder, and beef stroganoff, with the chowder being a must-try! The monkfish hot pot is well-prepared and the gelatinous texture is enjoyable. The best dish was the chef's pickled vegetables, especially the soy sauce pickled daikon. Finish with a hazelnut ice cream parfait for dessert. The breakfast buffet includes live-cooked omelets and the usual buffet items. Instead of making your own seafood bowl, there are pre-made mini seafood bowls available. The Chinese stir-fried wood ear mushrooms are delicious. The grilled fish was dry. The rolled omelet was tough. The curry comes in three levels of spiciness, with the spicy tripe curry being my favorite. Both dinner and breakfast have enjoyable ethnic dishes supervised by Vietnamese staff, but the buffet content may not match the accommodation price compared to other Wind series hotels. I made a reservation for this hotel long before the travel discount was available, so I got a relatively standard price for my stay. I had visited North Yuzawa a few times before the renovation, but this was my first visit since the renovation. The room was a nice Japanese-Western style. The bathroom was the same as before, but the highlight was the baths. There were about 10 small tubs lined up like a corridor, each filled with interesting types of hot spring water like nutritional drink water, royal jelly water, and apple water. It was really fun to try them all. Dinner was a buffet, which my family always enjoys the most. The dishes were not pre-packaged commercial items but seemed to be prepared with care using quality ingredients, with creative names to match. The focus on Hokkaido's local produce was impressive. The occasional wagon service with items like clam chowder or cold noodles was a nice touch, and everything was delicious and memorable. The prices have gone up a bit since the days of the First Meisuitei, but the increased satisfaction makes it worth it. I definitely want to come back again.

We arrived at Kitayuzawa♪ The Green Wind has a slightly luxurious atmosphere, and the front desk also has a nice vibe. The nearby Mori no Soraniwa seemed more suitable for families with children, but it was still closed for winter. Instead, we enjoyed the various scents of the hot spring at Midorinokaze, surrounded by a cold forest. Last time we came, it was too cold and my daughter cried, but this time it was more bearable, so the kids enjoyed walking around the bath. The buffet we were looking forward to was impressive with its elaborate small dishes. The live cooking station with roasted beef and xiaolongbao was fun. Although we couldn't relax much due to taking care of the kids, we still enjoyed some beer. The kids loved the small cups of yakisoba for some reason (maybe just collecting the cups?). They were also delighted by the dessert cart that appeared towards the end of the meal. Personally, I found last year's food tastier. I would recommend the breakfast buffet here, especially for the delicious variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese curry. Thank you for the delicious meal.
