Hello everyone, I apologize for being out of touch for a while. Since my last post in mid-June 2018, I have been busy with work-related trips to different regions, as well as dealing with earthquakes and my father's hospitalization. This has left me with little time to update my food blog on Tabelog. However, I now have some free time until March of this year, so I will start sharing the backlog of food experiences that I have accumulated.
[Revisit on June 24, 2018]
After visiting my father in the hospital with my mother and wife, we were told by my father to go enjoy a good meal together before heading home. Since my mother left the decision to us, my wife and I decided to revisit "Chinese Feast Tadashi no Chuu" located in a residential area in Atsubetsu, where we had visited for the first time in February.
On this visit, we ordered:
- Steamed abalone cold dish (market price, likely around 8,000 yen)
- Fried shrimp with curry salt (1,350 yen)
- Harumaki (3 pieces, 550 yen)
- Shrimp in chili sauce (1,350 yen)
- Lettuce crab fried rice (with soup, 930 yen)
- Five-ingredient sauce yakisoba (930 yen)
- Special jellyfish cold dish (1,750 yen, forgot to take a photo)
- Draft beer x2 (500 yen each)
- Oolong tea x2 (300 yen each)
- Chinese tea (300 yen)
The Chinese cuisine at Tadashi no Chuu left a light and flavorful impression on us during our first visit, and my 70-year-old mother thoroughly enjoyed the meal this time. The total bill was covered by my mother, and based on the menu prices and the final amount paid, the steamed abalone cold dish was likely around 8,000 yen. The special jellyfish cold dish that my mother added at the end was a standout, with thicker and more satisfying texture compared to jellyfish I had tried elsewhere. The star of the day, however, was the incredibly tender and delicious abalone cold dish.
