Today was the regular gathering of our drinking group. I decided to try a Okinawan cuisine restaurant this time, which was a bit unusual for us. It was my first time at this place, and it was quite cozy inside. There were two 4-person table seats, two 2-person table seats, and some counter seats. We chose the course menu with all-you-can-drink for 4200 yen. Of course, we started with Orion beer, a must-have in Okinawa. The appetizers were delicious, especially the island pickles. The salad had a unique Okinawan touch with dragon fruit. The sea grapes had a fun texture and paired well with alcohol. The Tebichi, fried pig's feet, were also juicy and tasty. Everything was delicious and went well with drinks. We ended up drinking too much awamori as well. Thank you for the meal.

There are two Okinawan restaurants along Taisho Street. There was a little misunderstanding during the meeting. The interior of the restaurant has a warm atmosphere with wooden furniture. The place was almost full with two groups of customers. I'm glad we made a reservation. (Some people were being turned away without a reservation, maybe because it was a Saturday.) Unfortunately, they were not serving "Bagna Cauda" that day. Here is what we ordered: - Somin Chanpuru 660 yen - Grilled Sutichiki (salted pork) and island vegetable salad 760 yen - Gurukun (fish) Karaage 860 yen - Soki Soba 700 yen - Jyunkou 660 yen - Chuukou 490 yen *Used a coupon / Cheers drink - Orion beer (glass) 520 yen - Shikwasa juice 640 yen *Appetizer: Zima Mame (peanut) tofu 300 yen? We got a Cheers drink with a coupon from Tabelog! Thank you! The appetizer was Zima Mame tofu, delicious. Shortly after, the "Grilled Sutichiki (salted pork) and island vegetable salad" was served. It had transparent aloe, mugwort, hechima, ingredients I don't usually eat. It's a salad that focuses on the natural flavors of the ingredients, so it might be a hit or miss for some people. (I wish they had Bagna Cauda though...) The Grilled Sutichiki (salted pork) had a taste and texture that I really liked. Next time, I want to order this on its own instead of as a salad. The "Gurukun Karaage" has a striking appearance. You can eat it crispy all the way to the bone, making it fun to eat. You can't eat the head, but we managed to finish most of it. By then, my husband had switched from beer to Awamori, so it was a perfect match for the alcohol. The "Somin Chanpuru" was simple and delicious. Really simple, which was surprising. In the world of Chanpuru, I like Somin and Papaya, and I haven't ordered Goya Chanpuru at an Okinawan restaurant for years now... For the finale, we had the "Soki Soba." The gentle broth was delightful. The meat was tender and the noodles were chewy. Okinawan cuisine is classic, but the "Soki Soba" is delicious! We were planning to pay by card, but there was a communication problem, so we had to pay in cash. (Good thing we had cash on hand~)

A visit to an Okinawan restaurant near Akasaka Station, likely the 5th or 6th time. Sat at the counter with a friend and ordered Miyako Island awamori "Kikunotsuyu" on the rocks (490 yen) for myself, and Iriomote Island awamori "Tokiwad" (500 yen) for my friend. Started with mozuku seaweed as a complimentary appetizer. Enjoyed "island pickles" (630 yen) while quietly sipping our drinks. Left as it began to get crowded. The bill came to 3,100 yen. Surprisingly, I didn't overindulge as usual and managed to stop at the right time, feeling satisfied with myself.

Last Saturday, I tried to have lunch at this place but they were not serving lunch that day. The young woman who came out to tell me was very polite, so I decided to come back for a second try. This restaurant serves Okinawan cuisine, and I ordered the "Soki Soba (with salad and black rice)" for 700 yen, with an additional 100 yen for a poached egg topping. The food was just like what you would find in Okinawa. The salad even had bitter melon in it, which was a nice touch. The soup had a gentle flavor, and the Soki on top of the soba was delicious. It was a satisfying meal, and I left feeling full. When I was leaving, the same woman (probably the owner's wife) saw me off at the door. It was a nice touch. Thank you for the meal.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Akasaka subway station, Ta~chimayaa is a restaurant that specializes in Okinawan cuisine. Right next to it is SaiSai, another Okinawan restaurant, creating a competitive atmosphere for Okinawan cuisine in the area. The interior of Ta~chimayaa is not very spacious, and you can get a sense of the atmosphere and how busy it is from the entrance. The menu includes monthly recommendations, indicating that the menu is likely to change regularly. The complimentary appetizer is the classic Okinawan dish, Jimami Tofu, which is always delicious. It makes you want to visit Okinawa! The "Homemade Bacon" and "Grilled Pork and Island Vegetable Salad" looked similar, but the bacon had a nice thickness and was delicious. The island vegetable salad was accompanied by fruits, making it a delightful combination. One dish that I highly recommend is the Squid Ink Hot Pot. It may not be suitable for those concerned about getting black around the mouth, but it was a unique and delicious specialty of the restaurant. The rice soup at the end was also incredibly tasty, with the richness of the squid ink giving it a risotto-like sensation. I highly recommend trying this dish. There is also a service where you can get a complimentary drink with a coupon from Tabelog, and you can make reservations online, making it a convenient restaurant to visit.

How many times have I been brushed by the hair behind me as I passed by. After the pandemic, when I finally visited, I forgot to use the coupon. I am pleasantly drunk. The selection of awamori is excellent. It was worth enduring not traveling. The Okinawan cuisine is authentic, not just for show. Thank you for keeping it that way. The cost performance may be a little bad, but the atmosphere is Okinawa, and considering the travel expenses, it's cheap. Thank you. I really want to dive in Okinawa soon.

I wanted to eat Okinawan cuisine, so I decided to dine in. The appetizer was "Jimamii tofu," I think. We had sea grapes, avocado and amberjack sashimi, Suuchiki (grilled pork with salt), Mozuku tempura, and grilled Tebichi (pig's feet). Okinawan cuisine really makes you feel like you're in a foreign country (laughs). The sashimi was served with vinegar miso instead of soy sauce!! I was really surprised because I had never known that before. It was unexpectedly mild and delicious. I haven't eaten Okinawan cuisine much, but I was able to enjoy authentic dishes this time. It happened to be their anniversary, so we received handmade Chinsuko and Western sweets as a gift when we left! It was a pleasant surprise, thank you for the great service. The staff was also very friendly, making the atmosphere very comfortable. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Soki soba with mozuku topping for 900 yen. It had been a while since I last visited. The cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant and the familiar menu always make me happy. I ordered my usual, starting with a salad while waiting, and soon my dish arrived. It was delicious as always! Perfect for winter and seems good for the body too. I don't have much time for lunch, so I can't come often, but I hope to visit again when I have the chance!

Soki soba with topping of mozuku for 800 yen. Had Okinawa soba for lunch today. This place is usually crowded, but I visited near closing time. I love mozuku, so I had it with soki soba. The dish arrived quickly and looked very delicious! The broth had a gentle bonito flavor. I was so absorbed in eating that I finished the soup as well!

It's been a while since I visited at night, but it's still the same old Okinawa during the day. They offer about 4 types of lunch sets, but I always go for the Soki soba. It comes with a small salad, juicy rice, and of course, Sanpin tea. It costs 700 yen. The taste remains unchanged. With a stamp card, every 10 stamps get you a free drink. The place is very welcoming, so be sure to visit at night as well.

Everything I ordered was delicious. However, since the dishes are on the lighter side and not very large in portion, I recommend ordering a lot. The Zimami tofu is exquisite.

From small dishes to Soki soba, everything is wonderful. When you stay in the restaurant for a while, you forget that you are in Akasaka. It's a moderately small shop. Highly recommended. Of course, they also have awamori and aged sake.
