I made a reservation for lunch at 12:30. It seems that there is a slightly discounted menu on Saturdays compared to weekdays. The evening course that usually costs 12,000 yen is 20% off. The restaurant is located on the B1F of a building in Kitahama. It has a cozy atmosphere like a traditional inn. I was led to a private room at the back. The meal included: Summer duck breast stew, corn salad, okra, paprika, and gelée for the appetizer. Dried sweetfish, egg tofu, mushrooms, and water pepper soup for the soup. Assorted sashimi of squid, sea bream, and tuna for the sashimi course. Grilled fish with tomato jelly for the grilled dish. Conger eel hot pot with onions, greens, tofu, and shimeji mushrooms for the hot pot. Fried white fish with eggplant, green peppers, and Sichuan pepper for the fried dish. Edamame rice with small dried fish and pickles for the main dish. Red miso soup with round wheat gluten and seaweed for the soup dish. Seasonal dessert with yogurt, watermelon, and blueberries for the dessert.

In late December, I had a business trip to Osaka and had a dinner meeting at night. The restaurant was chosen by local members and it was just a regular dining place. We ordered a course menu for 12,000 yen with all-you-can-drink option, and chose the shabu-shabu course. The food was not bad, but not particularly delicious either (lol). The shabu-shabu had a small amount of meat, which was disappointing. - Appetizer: Duck, turnip, red core radish, chrysanthemum, Moroko beans - Soup: Shrimp, yam cake, plum gluten, radish, yuzu, mitsuba - Sashimi: Tuna, squid with grated radish, yellowtail - Grilled dish: Abalone, sesame tofu, mitsuba beans, seaweed sauce, wasabi - Hot pot: Domestic beef shabu-shabu, chopped vegetables, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, wasabi sauce - Fried dish: Lotus root cake, scallop, eggplant, green pepper, red vinegar, roasted broth - Rice: Clam rice, ginger, mitsuba - Clear soup: Red miso soup - Dessert: Almond pudding, orange I don't think I will come back to this restaurant again.

First visit. I visited for a friend's birthday celebration. What's amazing is that there is a private room in the front area! You can relax in a setting like a ryokan or a traditional Japanese restaurant. I reserved the most affordable bento box, but it was full of volume. The tempura was hot and crispy. The mixed rice was also delicious. I thought I might not be satisfied because it was a bento box, but no... there were plenty of dishes, and you will be full. The staff is also bright and kind, which left a good impression. It's a place I would like to visit again.

I didn't know there was such a nice space so close by. It was my first visit for a farewell lunch! I relaxed in the tatami room of the traditional Japanese restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal. The Akane Gozen set meal was 2,200 yen! It included seasonal appetizers, simmered dishes, tempura, bamboo shoot rice, miso soup, fruit, and sakura mochi! The appetizers were visually appealing and tasted delicious! The bamboo shoot rice was my first this season! It feels like spring. The person we were saying goodbye to was also very pleased.

7 years since my last visit!? I don't remember anything from my previous visit, but this time the reviews ended up being similar to last time. The restaurant is located underground and has a vibe similar to a nice ryokan room service. With sunken kotatsu tables and private rooms, you can relax and unwind. The place is decorated with traditional items like hanging scrolls and it really sets a nice atmosphere. The first dish is served promptly: - Appetizer: New onion with foie gras and shrimp. It was a very refined taste. The foie gras was a luxurious chunk and very delicious! - Soup: A soup with something rice-like... steamed food? It's different but in a good way. Also has a refined taste. - Sashimi: The bluefin tuna was fatty and delicious! Though I thought so, the person with me felt it was a bit too fatty. - Clear soup: Soba noodles here! It's refreshing and light. - Main dish: Difficult to eat with a spoon. Ate it with both a spoon and chopsticks. Also has a mild and refined taste. - Grilled dish: Looks fancy and you can enjoy a variety of small bites. The tea towel raisin butter was a surprise. The fish was delicious, and I thought I could replicate the grilling technique at home. The hina-matsuri-like diamond-shaped tofu was also good. - Last dish: Smoked duck. Surprisingly, it was smoked here! It was also delicious. - Final soup and rice dish: Clam rice with a good amount of clams and just the right amount of crispy rice. I like the firm texture. The clams were plentiful and tasty. The final soup was also delicious. - Dessert: Coconut milk dessert. Ate it all up quickly (laughs) The amount of food was just right, not too much. Each dish had a refined and light taste, so it didn't feel heavy at all. It was nice to be able to try various creative dishes. While the food and atmosphere were satisfying, the price was a bit on the high side, according to the person I went with. ^^;

I think the food, service, and atmosphere all exceed the basic level. They do a thorough job and provide a sense of security. However, I felt a bit disappointed that there was no particularly impressive aspect. I was hoping for some more aggressive suggestions given the current situation. I think it is perfect for entertaining guests and business dinners.

Kawachiya is the best~ The day after being discharged from the hospital, we had a board meeting here. The organizer, Kawachiya, who is the treasurer, helped us out a lot. Whenever we feel like "it's impossible, we can't handle any more conditions," we ask for help from this place. Kawachiya, even if they say we have no talent, it's okay. They provide stability and peace of mind. The service from the staff is top-notch. We don't have to negotiate. It's easy. Just say, "Excuse me, it's ○○. Please give us the usual." The presentation and dishes are beautiful. Even if the staff from the Tokyo main store come, there's no disappointment with this place. At this time of year, the last meal is "corn rice," which is delicious. The grilled ayu fish was also tasty this time.

Near Kitahama, there is a restaurant that feels like entering a different world when you go downstairs. The large tatami room is perfect for intimate gatherings. The hostess is very polite. The taste is average, but I wish the portion size was a bit bigger.
