This is a valuable restaurant where you can bring a baby in a stroller and it's okay if the baby cries a little, in a rich space other than a family restaurant/food court, where a mom can go without a reservation. I mentioned that you can go without a reservation, but that is for weekdays at lunchtime, right after opening at 11:00 AM, as by noon there will be quite a wait. It is advisable for those who can make a reservation to do so. There is a ticket issuing machine at the top of the Tsutaya bookstore staircase, but for strollers, it may be a bit confusing, but there is an elevator on the west side of Starbucks, so you can use that to go up to the 2nd floor. Once you reach the 2nd floor, the view may seem plain, but if you follow the sign for the Modern Terrace, you will reach the restaurant. Since I went right after opening, I had the freedom to choose my seat. After consulting with the staff, I was guided to a sofa seat in the back. It may be a bit difficult to eat at a low table, but this was the perfect choice for me. The space is very spacious, with high ceilings, and for an open feel, I think the seats in the center of the restaurant or on the side facing Okazaki Park would be good. In my case, as expected, my child started crying during the meal, so the sofa seat in the back was the right choice. I was able to walk around the seat while holding my child to soothe them without causing any inconvenience to the surrounding customers (although the crying was probably already enough inconvenience). You pay at the register near the stairs. There are steps to get there, but if a staff member is nearby, they will help you move the stroller. The service was very good. The food, everything I ate was very delicious. However, the prices are a bit high for the portion size. Considering the location, atmosphere, and service, maybe this is to be expected. It may not be for everyday use, but if you want to enjoy a luxurious lunch focusing on the atmosphere rather than the portion size, then definitely give it a try!
Lunch course: 3200 yen~
1. Appetizer platter
Today's soup (pumpkin potage), bruschetta (topped with zucchini on a rusk), caprese (with strawberries instead of tomatoes, which was a nice touch for spring) served on one plate.
2. Main course
You can choose from several options, but some have an additional charge. I chose the souffle omurice without an additional charge. It was served from a stone oven and remained piping hot until the end. The rice had plenty of mushrooms and the beef sauce was rich and delicious. The pickles served on the side were a nice palate cleanser.
3. Dessert cart
You can choose two small Japanese and Western sweets from several options after being shown each one and given an explanation. There were so many delicious looking options that I thought, only two?! but the ones I chose were both rich, so I ended up quite full.
4. Drink
You could choose coffee or tea.
