On a Sunday evening, I realized that I hadn't walked enough steps, so I decided to walk towards Takamiya Station and maybe buy some yakitori to take home from "Yakitori Takamiya." However, when I arrived, the restaurant was not crowded, so I decided to sit at the counter. I ordered a draft beer, which came with cabbage as a set. I started with a large chicken wing for 350 yen, followed by a homemade thick tofu for 180 yen, which was incredibly delicious - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with plenty of ginger soy sauce. For my second drink, I had a highball. Meanwhile, I sent the menu to my partner via LINE to order some yakitori to take home. The skewers were carefully wrapped in aluminum foil, with chicken skin and meatballs in sauce, salted chicken, and chicken thigh. The size of the chicken thigh was particularly impressive. The total bill came to 2360 yen. The staff at this izakaya are very friendly and energetic.

Today I really felt like having a cold beer!! So I came to Takamiya Yakitori, near Takamiya Station. It's a typical yakitori restaurant. The interior has a long counter and also some private rooms. As soon as I entered, I ordered a cold beer. It was delicious!! Fresh cabbage was served right away. I ordered yakitori with chicken skin, liver, and heart. The chicken skin was crispy with sauce, the liver had a nice creamy texture, and the heart had a great chewy texture. The menu includes not only yakitori but also sashimi.

I have never been to the famous and long-standing yakitori restaurant "Yakitaka" that is known for being cheap and delicious! Every time I try to go, it's always full... Their crispy burdock salad is served on a freezing cold plate - so delicious! The onsen egg is cold and tasty, and the portions are quite big. The fried chicken is flavorful with a strong garlic soy sauce taste, and it's tender. I love the "bonjiri" and "neck" cuts as well. The cartilage meatball was delicious and crunchy. The head chef's name is "Takeshi"?? The shiso leaf roll is something I've been ordering a lot recently. The asparagus wrap is also good. I usually end my meal with ochazuke, which is a rare choice. The dishes are cooked efficiently. The staff is lively, energetic, and quick. If there was a slow part-timer, they would be fired immediately! The side menu is also extensive, and I now understand why this place is so popular. Above all, it's cheap!

We went with our family of four (including two children). Our youngest is only 1 year old and still eating baby food, but we were comfortably seated in a cozy corner room. There were many other families with children, so we felt at ease. As for the taste, I prefer yakitori with a mild salt flavor, and this place had just the right amount of seasoning. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the crispy skin was sweet and savory. Overall, the flavors were consistent and there were no disappointments. The side dishes were all delicious, especially the potato salad with a kick of black pepper. The rice ball and miso soup set we ordered towards the end was also satisfying. The service was friendly and efficient, although we had to wait a bit longer for our food due to the peak time. Despite that, we left feeling full and satisfied, and were surprised at the great value for money at 6,900 yen for two adults and a 5-year-old child. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

This is an old-established yakitori restaurant that has been around for a long time. For beer lovers like me, the large bottle of beer is only 390 yen! The cost performance is amazing! They offer pork belly, chicken skin, gizzards, squid, dango, and everything is cheap! They also have a variety of side dishes. It is popular among salarymen, but you can also see couples and families. There are also other branches nearby, such as Takamiyadori and Yakuin. The best part is that everything is cheap, delicious, and the drinks are affordable too! I highly recommend the cream cheese skewers!

When you go on a business trip to Fukuoka, this is a yakitori restaurant that I often visit with friends or colleagues, about 4 or 5 people. Skewers start at 90 yen each and are surprisingly delicious for the price. The burdock tempura salad topped with onsen egg is amazing. You may have your likes and dislikes, but the vinegar tripe is also quite good. There are plenty of other dishes like karaage, but the most popular among our group is the rice cracker snacks. I'm not a big fan myself, but many customers seem to enjoy them nostalgically. But the important part is coming up now. When you arrive at the restaurant, don't open the door right away, instead grab the flyer on the left side. At the bottom of the flyer, there is a voucher for a complimentary bottle of shochu. Tear it off and bring it in. You'll get a free bottle of shochu. You can't keep it, though. Just make sure there are at least 3 people or a group of people to qualify. It's a good deal with the free shochu, so you can be satisfied for around 2,000 yen per person. Give it a try!!

I used to live near this restaurant, so I used to visit it often. My kids love yakitori, so whenever they wanted to eat yakitori, we would come here (though lately we've moved, so we visit the main branch more often). The skewers are cheap but delicious, and the drinks are also affordable, which is kind on the wallet. However, as mentioned in other reviews, it tends to be crowded, so being with kids, we usually just order the skewers to go and pick them up (not sure if other dishes can be taken to go, but probably anything non-perishable is okay). If you call ahead for takeout, you can pick it up at the designated time without any issues.
