From pig's feet to ladder tart buffet, a strong classmate duo I happened to find on Tabelog and went there. It was supposed to be 2500 yen, but turned out to be 3300 yen. With the consumption tax added, it became 3630 yen. I was excited and went impulsively. In front of the restaurant, there was a buffet sign, but I didn't read it properly, so when asked if it was for the café, I said yes and entered. Then, I realized the menu was different, and when I asked for the buffet, they said it was reservation-only, but they made an exception this time. Out of the 14 tarts on the menu, 3 were excluded, leaving 11 tarts for all-you-can-eat. The first round, you could choose 3 types each, and for refills, only 1 type. I don't like sour fruits or citrus fruits, but I like cream, so I chose the shortcake, chocolate tart, and strawberry tart. My friend chose the fruit tart, melon tart (which was highly praised), and cream cheese. The cream cheese was rich and interesting. The fruit tarts had custard cream on them, which was quite solid, and the tart crust was heavy. The 90-minute time limit continued with the blueberry tart, which was a new encounter for me. The blueberries were not hard and had a different taste, not like frozen ones. I tried the matcha tart next, which did not have black beans like the one in the showcase, and instead had a little red bean paste, with warabi mochi and kinako cream in the middle, which was delicious. The right amount was the most delicious, as the cakes were around 900 yen each, so having 3 pieces wasn't really a deal. The tarts were quite large, so I wanted to enjoy them in smaller sizes. The tart crust and custard were heavy, and I realized that Kilfebon tarts were juicy and delicious.
