Visit time: 12:20 on a weekday Waiting time: None Menu: Soki soba set meal for 950 yen I had lunch at an Okinawan cuisine restaurant. Inside the restaurant, Okinawan folk music was playing. I ordered the Soki soba set meal. It took about 5 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. The bowl for the Soki soba was smaller than I had expected. It felt more like a mini Soki soba. The taste was good, with about three large pieces of tender Soki. The soba was also delicious, but the portion was still a bit small. I regretted not paying the extra 150 yen for a larger portion. Next time I order noodles, I will definitely get the larger portion. Thank you for the meal.

With the arrival of spring, I felt like eating Okinawan food. I headed east from my workplace for a few minutes and found a restaurant I hadn't been to in a while. The lunchtime rush was as busy as ever, with the staff in the dining area and the chefs in the kitchen all looking very busy. I managed to snag a seat at the counter. I had originally planned to order Okinawa soba or Soki soba set, but when I saw the photo of Rafute donburi, I quickly changed my mind. It looked so delicious! The Rafute donburi cost 950 yen and was served with a mini Soki soba. It arrived with three slices of pork, pickled ginger, lettuce, kaiware, and seaweed on top. It looked incredibly tasty. The well-stewed pork was tender and flavorful with soy sauce. It was so delicious that I couldn't help but dig in. Whether eating just the meat, the rice, the kaiware, or mixing it all together, it was incredibly satisfying. The broth of the mini Soki soba was also delicious, hot with a subtle bonito flavor. It was so good! Today's lunch was very satisfying. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

It is a restaurant serving "Okinawan cuisine" located on the 1st floor of the Gachocho Building, about a 4-minute walk from Sakaisuji Hommachi Station on the subway. The restaurant, which opened in November 2011, has a total of 34 seats in a small shop. The kitchen was run by one person, and there were two staff members handling customer service. This time, I ordered the "Okinawa Soba Set Meal" listed on the lunch menu for 1050 yen. The contents and evaluation are as follows. The Okinawan cuisine here is definitely the best! After talking about this place with an acquaintance, they were eager to visit, and this was their first visit this year! They tried classic dishes like sea grapes, pickled shallots, Sōmi champrū, and Sōki soba, as well as ventured into new dishes like fried chicken. The fried chicken exceeded their expectations, with delicate preparation that could make a restaurant on its own. The owner, who has a background in Japanese cuisine, truly showcased their skills. While all dishes were delicious, the Sōmi champrū stood out with its exquisite seasoning and stir-fry technique, leaving a lasting impression. They ended their meal with the dependable Sōki soba, where the meat-based soup was delicate and arguably tastier than other soba dishes in Okinawa. Lastly, they tried "pōpō," a crepe-like dessert made with black sugar, evoking a nostalgic taste. They noted that ice cream could be added as a topping, so they plan to try that next time!

The interior of the restaurant is filled with Okinawan atmosphere, with many bottles of awamori, posters of dramas set in Okinawa, and BGM playing songs by singers from Okinawa like Ayano Uema's "Solange". The dishes were served 9 minutes after ordering. "Let's eat." I took a sip of the soup, which had a gentle bonito dashi flavor mixed with pork. It was boneless, not greasy spare ribs, but a light boneless meat. I added pickled ginger halfway through for a change in taste. I didn't need rice, as the lunch was quite filling. I was invited by the clear weather to take a leisurely walk towards the east. Oh, look, there's a Okinawan cuisine restaurant right here, right under my nose! The cozy interior had a L-shaped counter seat, tables surrounding it, and a raised private room on the left side of the entrance. Since the counter was full, I opted for the large table. The lunch menu ranged from 850 yen to 950 yen with 7 options, and after some contemplation, I decided to order this: - Pork Spare Rib Soba Set Meal: 950 yen It was very fulfilling. Despite being small, the tender and melt-in-your-mouth pork spare ribs came in a set of 2, accompanied by brown rice and miso. It also came with a short pasta salad, red pickled ginger, and pickles. The soba broth had a distinctive Okinawan aroma with a strong bonito flavor. The slightly sweet soup was very drinkable. I added island chili pepper and red pickled ginger for some flavor variation halfway through. Oh, this made it spicier and even more delicious. The only disappointment was that the noodles were a bit dry and hard. Just like there are various types of udon in Kagawa, it seems that soba noodles also vary by region. In Okinawa's northern region, it seems that these types of noodles are commonly used. The miso that came with the rice was too delicious. It reminded me of something I had tasted at a different restaurant in the past. Just this alone made me crave for more rice and sake. I definitely want to have this at home. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

New discovery! It's been a while since I had dinner out! This time, I enjoyed Orion craft beer for the first time! We also ordered classic dishes like Shimarukyō, Goya Champuru, and Sōmin Champuru! Additionally, we tried pork dishes from the royal court cuisine and stir-fried Nāberā (hechima)! The most surprising part was that the stir-fried Nāberā was surprisingly delicious! It was innovative how they prepared Okinawan vegetables to make them tasty! I went with someone who runs a restaurant, and they recommended these dishes, so it was great to try something new! I'm looking forward to ordering dishes I don't usually get next time ◎

The restaurant was full during lunchtime, which was a positive sign that things were returning to normal after the period of self-restraint due to the pandemic. I ordered the Soki Soba set with juicy rice instead of plain rice. The Soki Soba was delicious as always, with flavorful soup and tender pork. The juicy rice had a hint of buttery flavor and was very fragrant. I also tried a bit of the Somin Champuru shared by a friend, and it was just as tasty. The Soki Soba was really good after all! I stopped by nearby for work and had it after a long time! I was hesitant, but ended up ordering the Soki Soba! The flavor was fantastic! The Soki was tender and delicious, and the broth was great, you can drink it all the way to the end! The owner has a background in Japanese cuisine, so the taste is very delicate! Next time, I'm thinking of trying the Goya Champuru set meal!

It's been a while since I used the restaurant at night! From the usual Shimarakiyo, I ordered Umibudo, Somen Chanpuru, Gourkyun Karaage, Squid Legs Tempura, Mozuku Tempura, and finished with Soki Soba! Everything is delicious, but personally, the standout dishes are the Somen Chanpuru, Gourkyun Karaage, Squid Legs, and Soki Soba! The Somen Chanpuru has a unique and amazing stir-fry method! The Gourkyun Karaage is fried in a way that you can eat the bones too! The Mozuku Tempura has a unique and exquisite seasoning before frying! The Squid Legs have a deep tofu flavor! Finally, the Soki Soba has delicious cartilage Soki and a rich broth! As always, it was a delicious restaurant experience ◎

Hello there. I've been curious for a while. Here is the menu. "Koregusu" - also known as Okinawan soba "hiyakake" (lots of ingredients!). Various flavors mix together. A classic combination of Okinawan soba and juicy meat. The broth is not as strong as expected and the noodles are quite firm. It's rare to find cold Okinawan soba like this in the country. I didn't realize that I could have upgraded to Juicy (mixed rice) for an additional 120 yen. Oh well, I enjoyed the Soki soba! It was delicious, comparable to what you would find in Okinawa. It felt like the portion was a bit small, but it came with rice and side dishes, so it was fine. Overall, it was a healthy meal, but I think Juicy would have been better (laughs). Okinawa lunch! As the weather gets hot and humid, I find myself craving Okinawan cuisine more and more! I ordered the Soki Soba lunch and upgraded the rice to juicy. The Soki Soba was consistently delicious! The broth was rich and the Soki had a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. I think it's the best in Osaka! The juicy was unique but the flavor was well infused. I left feeling full and satisfied! I will definitely be going back for dinner too!

Sometimes I crave for Soki soba. I visited this Okinawan restaurant. I was seated at the counter. There was an acrylic board in place. Okinawan goods were placed all around, and Okinawan radio was playing in the background. Ah, I want to go to Okinawa. There are several set meals available for lunch, but I quickly decided on the Soki soba. The set meal comes with rice and a side dish for 850 yen, but you can get a 150 yen discount if you order just the noodles, and an additional 120 yen for making the rice juicy. I was curious about the juicy rice, but I decided not to order it as I probably wouldn't finish it. The noodles arrived quickly. The appearance is plain. Well, that's how it usually looks. I took a sip of the soup. A light and gentle soup made from bonito and pork. The noodles were firm and curly. It had a somewhat vague taste, but there was a simple and delicious appeal that made me crave for it. That's Soki soba for you. The Soki is so tender. The gelatinous texture just melts in your mouth. The balance with the spare ribs makes the light soup work well. I added some red pickled ginger along the way and finished it all! Ah, I feel warm inside. I want to go to Okinawa. For lunch, they offer the typical set meal with rice commonly found in Osaka, while in the evening, you can order dishes a la carte. The Okinawa soba that arrived was of a standard quality. This is the last visit to Sokiya this year! As it is the final business day of the year, I had lunch and continued with dinner! I usually don't go out drinking alone, but due to the current situation with COVID-19 and self-restraint from group gatherings, I enjoyed the atmosphere even when drinking alone! There were many dishes that go well with alcohol, and the last Soki Soba with soft cartilage was amazing! The manager was also very kind, and I will continue to visit next year and beyond! I had the Goya Champuru for lunch on the last day of business, which is actually my second recommendation. This time, I opted for juicy instead of white rice because I wanted something juicy. The restaurant is known for its delicious Soki Soba, but the Champuru is also amazing! Later in the evening, I went for soba and drinks.

Today was the last day of work, but I couldn't go out for drinks due to the pandemic, so I stopped by a restaurant on the way home! I ordered beer, island radish, and Soki soba this time! Beer goes well with island radish! (The cucumber pickled in beer as a starter was also excellent as a pickled dish ◎) The Soki soba that followed had plenty of tender cartilage in the Soki, which paired well with the noodles! The delicious Soki soba is definitely worth it! Despite the shortened business hours due to Corona, I made it just in time for the last order after work. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow, so I refrained from drinking and just ordered the Soki soba. The Soki cartilage was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the broth had a perfect light flavor. This is the best Soki soba in Kansai!

On a Friday, the restaurant was packed. It was a stark contrast to the post-emergency period when it was less crowded, so I was happy to see the change as it is my favorite place. The food was as delicious as ever! What I liked the most was the delicate flavors and the well-seasoned dishes. The Somen Champuru had simple ingredients but the seasoning was perfect, making it a great dish to enjoy with alcohol. The fried Gurukun was also seasoned in a way that made me want to drink beer or awamori. However, since it takes time to cook, I recommend ordering it at the beginning. Lastly, the Soki Soba had a gentle broth and was a perfect way to end the meal. Even though I felt like I ordered too much this time, the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be going back again.
