Welcome. ---------- June 2020 ---------- This long-established restaurant is located along Hitsuji-ga-oka Street in Kiyota Ward. They have an automatic door where you can take off your shoes and be greeted with a drum performance. The staff includes women in kimono and men in happi coats. They have semi-private and private rooms with high ceilings for an open atmosphere. For lunch, they offer all-you-can-eat options such as sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, kamameshi, soba, and seasonal dishes at a reasonable price. The all-you-can-eat sukiyaki using premium Australian beef is a must-try. The staff will demonstrate how to cook the meat in a hot pot, and you can enjoy mixing your own dipping sauce. The meat is flavorful and tender, and the egg mixture adds a nice touch. The pork for dessert is also delicious. Overall, it's a great value for the money, although it may be a bit far from the city center if you plan on drinking alcohol.

Hello everyone! I had a lovely lunch with a friend at a local restaurant that I haven't been to in about 3 years. We decided to visit "Gyuya Edo Hachi" for the first time in a while. As soon as we entered the impressive entrance, a woman in a kimono greeted us by striking a drum. We had reserved a private room and were promptly seated. They offer all-you-can-eat sukiyaki and shabu-shabu at a reasonable price, but today we opted for the limited Ladies' Lunch set for 1,000 yen. After a short wait, our meal arrived! It included a Caesar salad, asparagus-wrapped pork fry, pickled plum seaweed, sukiyaki, beef stew, a bite-sized steak with salt meringue, chawanmushi, and pickles, along with red miso soup and rice with boiled beans on top. The variety of dishes was fantastic and satisfied my desire to try a little bit of everything. The crispy asparagus-wrapped pork was delicious, and the beef stew was tender. I would love to come back for a full meal in the evening. The rice with boiled beans on top was an interesting twist, reminiscent of Hokkaido's red rice without food coloring. It would be even tastier with some sesame salt sprinkled on top. The fact that they serve homemade red miso soup is a big plus! The meal was accompanied by coffee and a mini panna cotta, a special treat for women. The whole experience, including the ambiance of the restaurant, for just 1,000 yen was amazing. I highly recommend the weekly changing Edo Hachi lunch set, kamameshi, and sukiyaki for men. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The month has changed, so I went to the restaurant at 11 o'clock looking for the Ladies' Set Meal. I was seated right away and placed my order. The contents were almost the same as before, but I was so full! Every side dish was delicious and I was very satisfied. For 1,200 yen, I even got coffee and dessert, such a great deal.

I came here because I wanted to eat some meat. I chose a table with a sunken floor seating area, looked at the lunch menu, and ended up deciding on the weekly lunch special. The lunch came with coffee and consisted of cheese-in beef cutlet, which is thinly sliced beef with cheese inside. I sprinkled lemon and salt on it. The fried dish was refreshing and easy to eat. The side dishes of broccoli, asparagus, and lotus root were a nice break for my chopsticks. You can change the miso soup to pork soup, but sticking with miso soup was the right choice, haha. I had seconds of rice and had a very satisfying time. Thank you for the meal. - Cheese-in Beef Cutlet 1,200 yen

Today, I had the Ladies' set meal for 1,200 yen (limited to 8 servings)! This set meal is delicious no matter which dish you choose, and the contents change slightly every month. The asparagus fry was so crispy and tasty! It's a great deal as it comes with a special dessert for ladies only (today's was melon) and coffee after the meal. It's so popular that you have to order it as soon as the restaurant opens, or you might miss out.

We used this restaurant for a meal after a Buddhist memorial service. The restaurant was spacious and had a calming atmosphere with sunken kotatsu tables, which was nice. We had pre-ordered our meal and it was ready for us when we arrived. There were a variety of dishes to choose from and we were satisfied with our meal. The signature beef dish was especially delicious, and I would like to come back another time to try their beef dishes in the evening. We enjoyed the meal and finished everything. Thank you for the feast.

I had a half-size beef mabushi lunch. The fillet and sirloin were both tender and delicious. I was looking around for the broth that usually comes with beef mabushi, but couldn't find it. When I asked the staff, they told me that the broth was in the miso soup, which I could have refills of. It was nice to eat it with the broth. I was also happy to receive a ladies' dessert of melon, but I thought it would be nice if there were desserts for everyone.

"I'm glad I was born a woman!" is a phrase that comes to mind when I use women-only benefits. At Edohachi, every 29th of the month (Meat Day), the all-you-can-eat sukiyaki or shabu-shabu is half price for women, and I have been going there regularly for over 10 years, especially in the past few years, I go at least once every 1-2 months. However, the half-price all-you-can-eat deal will end in May this year. To avoid any regrets, I geared up for the battle! You can choose between domestic beef or American beef, and between sukiyaki or shabu-shabu. I have only tried American beef before because I like lean meat and don't mind thin slices. I tend to choose shabu-shabu because you can change the flavor with ponzu, sesame sauce, and chili oil. Also, shabu-shabu causes less stomachache and thirst the next day. If you go with multiple people, you can add both options for an additional fee. The meal starts with a plate of meat, vegetables, houtou noodles, and rice. I usually eat only the meat until the pot is ready. Then, I add all the vegetables and continue with the shabu-shabu. I ordered two plates of beef and one plate of pork, and when I started feeling full, I ordered more. I keep eating until I reach the endless mode. I like to alternate between ponzu sauce with green onions and sesame sauce with chili oil. Adding all the sauces at once when you start feeling full can increase your appetite. The restaurant suggests pouring the sauce over the meat and vegetables in the plate instead of putting it in the bowl first. This way, the flavor remains intact. I added more beef and pork when the beef started feeling heavy, as the pork adds sweetness and lightness. I also ordered more houtou noodles and finished with a delicious apricot sauce panna cotta dessert. The dessert was so good that I wanted seconds even though I was full. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the meal to the fullest. I will probably focus on having lunch there in the future, but the manager mentioned they are planning different events, so I look forward to that. If someone treats you, don't hesitate to go all out (laughs). I love the taste and the staff at this restaurant! Thank you for the meal!

I often visit for lunch, and the red miso soup is delicious. I appreciate that women receive dessert with their coffee after the meal. I usually go for the limited edition ladies' set, but this time it was sold out so I tried the "sukiyaki don" from the regular menu. It was reliably delicious!

I thought I would try the "kamameshi" dish and arrived at the restaurant. The staff greeted me all the way to the parking lot. When I entered the restaurant, a drum sounded. I looked at the menu and ordered the beef "hitsumabushi" which took about 15 minutes to be served. It came with salad, small dishes, miso soup, pickles, and various condiments surrounding the beef hitsumabushi. The portion was quite generous, with a mix of fillet and sirloin. The aroma of charcoal wafted through the air. First serving: I put rice and meat in a bowl and ate it. I was surprised by the tenderness of the meat. Second serving: I used the condiments to add a refreshing touch with the crunchy texture of myoga and green onions. Third serving: I poured the miso soup over it to enjoy a light and tea-infused taste. The amount of miso soup was a bit lacking, and the flavor was quite strong, so a milder taste might have been more enjoyable until the end. Thank you for the meal. - Beef hitsumabushi set (mix of fillet and sirloin) 2,500 yen

I came to buy some snacks, so I searched nearby and found this place I wanted to visit. This week's special at Edo Hachibon is the Oyster Soba Makunouchi Bento for 1,000 yen. There is a parking lot in the back, and a second parking lot further back. You will be asked if you prefer a table or a sunken kotatsu-style seating, and then you will be seated after a short wait. They don't have a buzzer system, so they call out to walking women. They will ask if you want to try the limited quantity menu (Ladies Bento) first. The steak was over my budget, so I opted for the "Edo Hachibon of the Week" Oyster Soba Makunouchi Bento, limited to 15 servings. I waited for over 30 minutes. The meal was luxurious, with flavorful mixed rice, but the tamagoyaki and meat were cold. Women receive a dessert as part of the set, which arrived quickly - a mango panna cotta. It's interesting that only women get dessert - is that not discriminatory these days? No complaints were made. Do men have any privileges here? There is no Gentleman's Bento either. The restaurant is filled with women in kimono, making it more impressive than expected. The atmosphere and value for money are good. The menu changes seasonally and weekly, so it's never boring. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on the way back from Kitahiroshima Outlet. It was my first time there. I really wanted to have sukiyaki, but I wasn't very hungry yet, so I had a medium rare fillet steak instead. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. I definitely want to come back to try the sukiyaki next time.

"I used the 'Ushiya Edo Hachi' restaurant with the HIS Hokkaido Support Plan. For 2,500 yen, you get a Hokkaido support coupon worth 2,000 yen and a taxi ticket worth 1,000 yen, which is such a great deal! When you arrive at the restaurant on time for the local gathering, there is a drum roll and the staff in kimono greet you with a smile. This time, I tried the restaurant's specialty sukiyaki set. The staff prepares it for you, making it very convenient. The meat, both beef and pork, is tender and the flavor is rich. The rice is freshly cooked and fluffy. You can have seconds for free, so I had another bowl! The meat-wrapped rice ball in the set was delicious, and the dessert and coffee included in the set made me very satisfied. The staff's service was pleasant, and I had a comfortable dining experience. I visited this time with the discounted set, but next time, I would like to try the regular sukiyaki menu. Thank you for the delicious meal!"

Today, I went to a restaurant for lunch at 1:00 pm. There was a wait of 45 minutes, but I decided to wait as there was air conditioning inside and I didn't want to move with the heat outside. Reservation customers were seated one after another while I waited. Finally, after 50 minutes, I got seated. However, two people who arrived 40 minutes after me were seated just 2 minutes after me. Maybe I just had bad luck? Next time, I will definitely make a reservation. I ordered the "kaiseki bento" that I was looking forward to. The sesame tofu was good with a nice dashi flavor and texture. The sukiyaki was delicious, but the scallions were too tough. I wish they had peeled off the tough outer layers before serving. The beef stew was tasty, with the larger pieces of meat being tender and flavorful. However, there was disappointingly little soup in the stew. Personally, I would prefer less meat and more soup. The crab claw cream croquette was delicious, with the crab meat still in the shell. I wasn't sure how to eat the deep-fried vegetables served on the side, so I dipped them in the stew. Everything was delicious, but it was on the pricey side. Thank you for the meal.

I was really in the mood for shabu-shabu, so I ordered it at this restaurant that mainly serves sukiyaki. The meat was a bit disappointing as it seemed frozen and tore easily, but that was my mistake since the main dish is sukiyaki. The standalone hamburger was delicious though! Next time, I will definitely come back for the sukiyaki!

The preparation is complete by dissolving the "pitch-black miso-style sauce" of sukiyaki in a "clear broth" and adding vegetables and meat. The sauce is made in the style of "Edo" with a touch of either "Tokai" or "Kansai", creating a unique flavor. Starting to eat it, it feels like the "Kanto" style bento, with a variety of side dishes to enjoy. The 100% beef hamburger has a special taste, rich in taste and delicious. A slightly luxurious lunch, thank you for the feast.

Arrived on Sunday at 6:00 PM. Reservation for 2 people. Located along the Sheep Hill Avenue in Shibuya. Across the street is a ramen restaurant called "Tsuna Tori Monogatari". With a bonus in hand, my mother and I visited the restaurant. Although the main offering is all-you-can-eat, we splurged on the most expensive option, the "Tokusuki Yakiniku" (5780 yen) for 2 people. Apparently, with this menu, you can move to a private room, but we decided to stay at a regular table. After about 10 minutes, we were served plum wine as an aperitif. It was rich and delicious! The main dish arrived soon after. A large, thinly sliced piece of meat folded like a blanket! It must be difficult to cut such a large and thin piece of meat. 2 servings for each person. The staff cooked the meat while engaging in conversation. They heated the pot with fat, lightly stir-fried the leeks, added the meat, and then added the dark sauce and broth. They flipped the meat, added vegetables, and cracked an egg over one piece of meat. It was amazing...the meat was so tender and delicious! The sweet and rich sauce (maybe sesame?) was also delicious! The vegetables included mitsuba, nagaimo, baby corn, and shiitake mushrooms. There was also a type of wheat gluten that soaked up the sauce. We weren't sure if they would cook the second piece of meat for us, so we grilled it ourselves. It was still amazing! We were completely satisfied with the deliciousness. This was the real deal "sukiyaki". It was on a whole different level from anything we've had before. My mother kept saying, "It's delicious." It was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of the sukiyaki in the pot (laughs). We had an extra bowl of rice, so we were about 80% full. The service from the staff was also fantastic. We will definitely come back if we have extra income again! (laughs)

In Seita Ward, there is a "beef restaurant" with a distinctive lantern as a landmark on Ushigao Street. When you open the door of the restaurant, you are greeted with the sound of a Japanese drum and guided by kimono-clad staff, creating a nice atmosphere. The menu includes sukiyaki, rice bowls, hamburgers, and a variety of dishes using beef from domestic and international sources. The Hokkaido beef hittsumabushi tray for 1,480 yen is a sweet and savory beef bowl. The sweetness is not overpowering and the rice is cooked well. As recommended, first try it as it is, then sprinkle with condiments, and finally add the soup from the bowl... However, I personally felt a bit uncomfortable with this. It would have been better if the soup was served separately. However, the soup was very flavorful and authentic, and delicious. While this is what hittsumabushi is supposed to be like, I found that if you take too long to dish out the rice and season it, it can cool down. The taste is delicious, but it may not be a menu that I would recommend to everyone. Perhaps it is best to try the beef suki here. I would like to try it next time.

On a certain weekday, for lunch as usual, I avoided the narrow alleys and headed to a large restaurant in Yoshidaga, Kiyota-ku, known for its beef. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the sound of drums and was guided to a seat with a comfortable distance. While listening to the soothing sound of the sanshin, I decided to try the weekly special, "Ginger Beef Stir-Fry (980 yen)." With the first bite, I was impressed with the quality of the beef, which was tender and flavorful with a sweet and savory sauce. The dish was accompanied by stir-fried bell peppers and onions, and surprisingly had a generous portion, prompting me to ask for seconds. The salad included shredded cabbage with a fruity dressing, crispy broccoli, a slightly salty soft-boiled egg, pickled white turnip, miso soup with clams, and ended with green tea and coffee. Overall, the meal was satisfying and reasonably priced at around 1000 yen. Thank you for the feast.

Upon entering the entrance, we were greeted by drums. Today is the year-end party at Miyumau House. All-you-can-eat American beef. Women get a 20% discount, which is nice. The meat-wrapped rice balls are not all-you-can-eat. The first pot is seasoned by the staff, but after that, we do it ourselves. The quality of the American beef is decent and gets us excited. In addition to meat, we have cabbage, onions, tofu, udon noodles, konjac, white rice, and eggs all available for all-you-can-eat. The dipping sauce is rich and delicious, but we couldn't eat that much. Unlike shabu-shabu, it quickly boils down, so we just kept eating. If you want to eat slowly, shabu-shabu might be better. But we are satisfied with having eaten sukiyaki. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for a post-funeral meal. They offered a private room with a bento box suitable for celebrations and condolences. It came with a photo, fruits, and coffee for a great value of ¥3,700. The hamburger, beef stew, and sukiyaki were all delicious. The portions were generous. I would like to revisit for the sukiyaki.
