The Okinawan cuisine after a long time was delicious as always. The live music was exciting too. Despite the inconvenient location, the restaurant was full and the food took a while to come out. I wonder if it's unavoidable. There was a couple celebrating their golden wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren that day, and they looked very happy.

On Sundays at 13:30 (lunch service is until 13:30 with closing at 14:00), in Osaka City, Taisho Ward, there is a place called "Uruma" at Little Okinawa. The name "Uruma" means "coral island." There is now a city called "Uruma City" on the main island. I visited "Uruma Goten" a while ago to try their Okinawan soba. This time, after my usual Sunday activities, I stopped by for an Okinawan lunch. I ordered the Uruma set meal for 800 yen, which included 2 pieces of mozuku tempura, mini goya champuru, mini soba with spam and fish cake, a small side dish (vermicelli salad), tofu with pickles, sata andagi, and rice (with seconds allowed, self-service). The mozuku tempura was cold, probably due to being pre-made, but it was still enjoyable with salt and hot soba broth. The goya had its bitterness reduced, making it easier to eat. The place is popular among regular customers and fans. The owner even gave me some sugar cane as a bonus, which brought back nostalgic memories. The Uruma set meal for 800 yen on Sundays is a good deal in my opinion. Thank you for the meal.☆☆☆☆ In the evening, they also have a folk music show. There is a coin parking lot next to the store for 100 yen per 30 minutes, which is convenient.

Today's lunch was at Little Okinawa, Uruma Goten, after going to the morning bath with Okinawan friends. I had the Uruma Goten set meal for 800 yen, which included delicious Okinawan soba and mozuku tempura. You can have unlimited rice with it, and it comes with a mandarin orange. It was a feast! Thank you!

Despite being 9 pm on a Sunday, the restaurant was packed with customers, showing its popularity and lively atmosphere. The standout dishes were the spring roll salad for around 200 yen, the delicious pork soba for 700 yen, the flavorful and generous portion of goya champuru for 500 yen, the irresistible mozuku tempura for 500 yen, and the slightly underwhelming but still tasty onigiri with meat miso filling for 250 yen for two. The restaurant was much more lively than during lunchtime, making it difficult to relax and enjoy a quiet meal. Communication with the staff may require some patience as they may need to resort to written communication. Overall, a great place to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Naha, but not ideal for quiet dining. Will definitely visit again, next time for a toast with some drinks!

On Sunday at 12:45 during the Bon holiday, the city was empty and so was the restaurant. Uruma Gomen for 800 yen. The tomato salad was delicious. Expectations met. The small dishes were average, and the mozuku tempura was big and chewy, very tasty. The Goya champuru was also delicious. The Okinawan soba was the best I've had. The noodles were chewy with a good texture, and the broth was delicious, just the way I like it. You can have unlimited rice, but I couldn't eat anymore. The banana dessert should be taken home. I will come back again, next time for a dish in the evening.

I had lunch and was so impressed that I returned in the evening to pass the time. I ate and drank a lot, and the live music started earlier than usual! We sang along with the customers and ended with a fun time dancing to Okinawan music. Of course, both the food and awamori were satisfying. How many hours did I spend there?

I had a set of Okinawa soba, mozuku tempura, and goya champuru. We first tried the goya champuru and both agreed it was delicious! Everything was really tasty, and we decided to come back at night. The lunch beer was also a good deal!

It is well known that Osaka's Taisho Ward is like a little Okinawa. There are Okinawan shops scattered all over the area. I had some business near Taisho Station and drove there, only to find no parking available. I ended up wandering down Taisho Street all the way to Minami-Ogajima in search of lunch. It was my first visit to this place, and it looked just like Okinawa from the outside. There were posters of the pro boxer Kyutaka, who seems to be popular in the Okinawan community in the ward. As someone who prefers soba over champuru dishes, I was torn between ordering the Sokisoba or the 3-piece pork set. I decided to go with the classic Okinawa soba set (regular) for 600 yen, which apparently comes with 2 servings of soba. The set included rice, a side dish, cold tofu, pickled vegetables, soba, and a whole banana! The balance of the meal was good, with rice cooked to my liking. The soba was a bit firm, maybe a bit softer would have been better with the broth. The pork was well-seasoned and delicious, and there was a thin omelet on top. The pickled ginger was a must-have, and I sprinkled plenty of shichimi on top before devouring the meal. The unique Okinawan soba broth brought back memories of my occasional visits to Okinawa for work. It might be worth visiting the local spot when I have the chance! Since they also have live performances at night, I might come back for that in the future. Thank you for the meal.

This is "Uruma Goten," a restaurant where you can enjoy Okinawan cuisine, located near the Heio Shopping Street in Taisho Ward, also known as "Little Okinawa." As you enter, you are greeted with a variety of Okinawan dishes on the lunch menu. The restaurant offers a taste of Okinawa with live performances of Sanshin music in the evening. The interior has 2 four-person tables and 70 seats in total, including tatami seating. The lunch menu includes 8 Okinawan dishes and a daily special. The Uruma set meal for 800 yen includes mini mozuku tempura, mini goya, and mini soba, allowing you to sample a variety of Okinawan dishes. The surprising addition of a whole banana for dessert caught my attention. The tempura mini mozuku was crispy on the outside and had a unique chewy texture inside, bursting with delicious flavors. The mini soba featured spam and a thin omelet, a tasty combination. The light pork bone and bonito broth soup with slightly chewy noodles was a delight. The pickled ginger added a nice touch to the meal. The restaurant also offers Corregus, a type of Okinawan liquor, which I found intriguing. Overall, the dishes were satisfying and delicious. I would love to visit again once the COVID-19 situation improves. Thank you for the delicious meal!

In Osaka's Taisho district, I visited a restaurant called Uruma Goten for some Okinawan cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of Okinawan dishes, and I decided to try their Uruma set meal for 800 yen. The meal included Okinawan soba, Goya champuru, Mozuku tempura, cold tofu, yam tempura, pickles, and fruits. The broth of the Okinawan soba was light and delicious, and the noodles were thinner than udon but thicker than soba. The Goya champuru had a mild bitterness and was tasty. The Mozuku tempura was fluffy and delightful. The restaurant also offers all-you-can-eat rice. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I look forward to returning for their live performances in the evening. The restaurant is located at 2-7-27 Minami Oka-jima, Taisho-ku, Osaka.

I came to Taisho because I heard that Little Okinawa has started serving lunch. I had Orion beer for 500 yen and the Uruma set meal for 800 yen, which came with two mozuku tempura, a mini goya champuru, and a mini Okinawa soba. It was delicious! I recently visited Ryukyu World in Namba with my family as we are planning a trip to Okinawa soon. I wanted my daughter to try Okinawa soba for the first time, so we decided to have lunch here. We arrived right at the opening time of 11:30. There was a live performance of sanshin by regular customers or maybe staff members on the stage in the back, which made us feel lucky. My daughter, who is practicing Eisa for an upcoming sports festival, was excited. We ordered the following: - Okinawa soba set meal (regular) for ¥600: The sweet and tender pork belly was delicious. - Uruma set meal for ¥800: It included mini Okinawa soba, bitter melon stir-fry, mozuku seaweed tempura, side dishes, tofu, and a tangerine. The bitter melon was really bitter, which made my daughter react dramatically. The tempura was crispy and tasty. - Orion beer for ¥400, cola, and guava juice for ¥200 each. Since my daughter eats very little, I ordered extra drinks for her. Unfortunately, we were driving today, so I let my wife enjoy the alcohol. There is a nearby parking lot where you can park for 30 minutes for ¥100 or for 1 hour for ¥200. While we were eating, the man who played the sanshin at the beginning gave us some chinsuko cookies as a gift, which was a nice gesture. Overall, the food was affordable, generous in portion, and the service was good. It would be perfect if they could offer a rice refill for the set meals even for an additional charge. I will definitely come back here when I miss Okinawa. Thank you for the meal!

Location is in Osaka City, Taisho Ward, known as the Okinawa Prefecture People's Town. The main food served is Okinawan cuisine, with the classic dishes being sea grapes, Shimaralkyo, and pork dishes. The pork dishes had a normal taste. For those who want to dance, there is a stage with drums and sanshin where you can enjoy Okinawan dance performances, which is quite charming.

We visited the Okinawan restaurant, Uruma Goten, after a long time, riding our bikes together. Located 100m east of the Taisho-dori Minami Onga-jima intersection, this restaurant is known for its live performances of traditional Okinawan folk songs every evening. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are currently only open for lunch. The menu offers a variety of set meals, including Okinawan favorites like Okinawa soba, Goya champuru, and more. The popular Uruma set meal includes Okinawa soba, Goya champuru, mozuku tempura, and side dishes like seaweed salad and pickles. The atmosphere is enhanced by the background music of Okinawan folk songs, making you feel like you're in Okinawa. The food is delicious and satisfying, perfect for those missing a trip to Okinawa.

I visited the famous dancing izakaya, Uruma Goten, which also serves lunch. I ordered the Uruma set lunch, which included a mini Okinawan soba, goya champuru, and mozuku tempura. It was a hearty and nutritious meal, although the only downside was that the rice was too soft. However, for ¥800, I think the quality and quantity of the meal were excellent.

After a visit to IKEA, I decided to have Okinawan cuisine on the way back. There are 10-15 Okinawan restaurants near Taisho Station, making it hard to choose. The restaurant I visited this time was packed with locals and had a lively atmosphere with a live performance and Shisa decorations. The dishes I tried, such as squid ink somen, pork soba, and mozuku tempura, were all delicious. The lively atmosphere and tasty food make this restaurant popular and a place you'd want to bring someone along to enjoy.

Osaka City, Taisho-ku. Having lunch in Minami Onkajima, Little Okinawa district. The entrance is in a combat stance. Inside the restaurant, there are three table seats and a tatami area. The tatami area can accommodate about 40 people, and there is a stage at the back. Okinawan restaurants often have stages. Yakisoba set meal (800 yen) with a mini soba upgrade (100 yen). Ordered yakisoba with soy sauce flavor. Changed the miso soup to mini Okinawan soba! Rice is free refill! The mini Okinawan soba has a ginger-flavored soup with firm flat noodles. A bit too strong on the ginger, but then found red pickled ginger! Would like more pork bone broth flavor. The rice is neither good nor bad. Comes in a large serving by default! Can't get seconds! Yakisoba is stir-fried with flat noodles like Okinawan soba. Well-seasoned and tasty! Definitely recommend! At night, it turns into an izakaya with singing on the stage. Little Okinawa comes alive at night. It's a shame that it's not easy to join due to the distance. Generous portions of delicious Okinawan cuisine!

I have visited this place several times, and when I went alone, there were group tourists who were performing a show on stage. I felt lucky to witness that. As usual, I ordered the Okinawa soba set meal for 600 yen, which comes with Okinawa soba, rice, side dishes, pickles, and fruits. And the best part is, you can have unlimited rice refills! There is a jar in the center of the restaurant for self-service. The portion is generous, and even though I didn't need a refill, I think it's self-service. It's really delicious, filling, and all at this price. Thank you for the meal.

A great restaurant in Osaka where you can feel Okinawa vibes. The atmosphere is amazing, but it's disappointing that they don't even accept PayPay or any other cashless payment.

The soy sauce yakisoba is incredibly delicious. The karaage is also of a high quality! I also enjoy the Uruma set meal! I especially love the yakisoba, and I feel like I could just keep slurping up the soup. As for the rice...it's so soft that the grains almost lose their shape. It seems like there's too much moisture in it, making it a bit challenging to eat with the delicious side dishes. I wish they would reduce the water a bit when cooking the rice...I want it to have a firmer texture to go with those amazing side dishes.
