In the past, the impression of Nankai Soba at Nankai Namba Station was that they used to prominently display disposable chopsticks, but now they are individually packaged, perhaps due to the coronavirus. The restaurant has also changed to a ticket vending machine system. I couldn't find the Stamina Udon I was looking for, but they had Kakiage Udon. It seemed similar to the Udon I had at Kyobashi the other day. I ended up getting Ebi Tempura Udon with a Tamago topping. The noodles were quite thick, and I prefer softer noodles. The broth was light and had a cheap taste, but it was fine. The restaurant is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors inside the ticket gates, so I can only visit when taking the train. I rarely ride the Nankai line, so I may not have another chance to visit.

There was a daily bowl dish and a set of udon or soba for 560 yen, which is very affordable. The soba had a rich and delicious broth, and the noodles were thick and firm, allowing you to enjoy the aroma of the soba. Today's bowl dish was the "Leaf Bowl" with plenty of shiitake mushrooms and a moderate amount of fish cake, along with a mysterious presentation. Despite the unusual presentation, the dish had a rich flavor and was delicious.

The octopus rice set with soba was delicious! The flavor of ginger and dashi was just right, and the texture of the octopus was perfect. It paired well with the soba noodles. Thank you for the meal!

For over half a century, station soba has remained unchanged as the perfect quick meal option when in a hurry. It is affordable, fast, and reasonably tasty. I usually go for the moon-viewing soba with onigiri or inari sushi set, without even needing to think about the menu. On this day, I had a late lunch with moon-viewing soba and inari sushi. As additional information about station soba, you may find local specialties like "yellow soba," "jumbo soba topped with takoyaki" (though it may not be available now), or "croquette soba" in the Hokuriku region. It can be interesting to take your time and explore the menu when you're not in a rush.

The soba at this station is surprisingly high quality. The broth is amazing. The noodles themselves are not top-notch, but they bring back a nostalgic taste and texture. I ended up ordering something special because it had been so long since I last visited. It came with egg, shrimp tempura, seaweed, and finely chopped fried tofu. It was incredibly delicious. It's more about the nostalgic feeling than just the taste. The flavor reminds me of my childhood.

The familiar station soba is a happy place where you can eat without worries, especially in today's times of rising prices for various goods, particularly food and drinks. The photo shows a large serving of Moon-viewing soba for 580 yen, with a delicious bonito broth, receiving high praise.

After drinking, I always crave soba noodles on my way home. There's a soba shop inside the train station, so it's convenient and I always end up being drawn in. I don't know when it started, but my go-to orders are either squid tempura soba or tanuki soba. Personally, I think these two are the most delicious. Sometimes I also feel like having the rice ball with furikake from Minami Kaisoba. Thank you for the meal.

After drinking and feeling a bit hungry on my way home, I always think about grabbing a quick bite at the train station, but I always end up here. The dish I usually order with high probability is the squid tempura soba! It's a bit pricey at 450 yen for standing soba, but it always tastes the best to me. The tempura itself isn't that tasty, but when dipped in the broth, it suddenly becomes delicious. It's not great on its own, but combined with the broth, it's a different story. Thanks for the meal.

I have been going to this Nankai Soba shop located under the high-speed express line on the 2nd floor of Namba Station for 30 years now. There are branches in other stations as well, but for some reason, this shop, at this location, serves the best tasting soba. Today, before attending a concert at the new concert hall, Fenice Sakai, I stopped by. It's spring, so the topping for the soba set was bamboo shoot rice. I also added minced meat as a topping. I enjoyed it with a Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft beer. The taste was really delicious, and even though I've been trying other standing soba shops recently, they all seem expensive. I think this Nankai Soba shop is the best in terms of cost performance. I will continue to visit here in the future.

I had the meat soba for 460 yen including tax. It was my first visit, and I was planning to take the Southern train to Wakayama City Station. I had 20 minutes before the Southern train departed, so I thought I had plenty of time to eat soba at Minami Soba. I tried to use Edy at the ticket machine, but it didn't work, and when I tried to use Icoca, it also didn't work. In the end, since I was running out of time, I bought a meal ticket with cash.

I'm in Osaka. Namba in Minami. Inside Nankai Namba Station. In the back of the central ticket gate on the 2nd floor, you'll find this shop. I had already eaten breakfast, but I had some time to spare before catching the train, so I decided to check this place out. I put coins into the ticket machine outside the shop, pressed the button for "tanuki soba," and went inside. I found a seat, poured myself some water, and handed my order to the experienced-looking staff behind the counter. In no time at all, my order was ready. On this day, it took less than a minute to arrive. I ordered the tanuki soba, which is soba noodles topped with sweetened fried tofu. The soba noodles weren't particularly delicious, but considering the price, it was decent. The fried tofu was just the right amount of sweetness. It warmed me up on a cold day and left me feeling happy and satisfied as I headed towards the express train.

I stopped by before evening to satisfy a small hunger. Lately, even when I ask for extra green onions, they don't give me much. Well, prices are going up and it's a free service, so I guess it can't be helped. But it would be nice if they offered a paid option for extra green onions. Also, since it's a standing soba shop, it's common sense, but because it has an open kitchen, the staff should keep their complaints about the shop to themselves. It's awkward for customers to hear certain things. This shop has quite a bit of that kind of thing, so it's a shame. Thank you for the meal.

I saw the announcement and decided to try the Japanese-style Char Siu Ramen that caught my attention. The Char Siu was firm and very delicious. This restaurant is located inside Namba Station. The wait time for the food to arrive is short, so it's convenient to eat even when you're short on time. When in need, I will stop by Nankai Soba.

After enjoying a feast in Minami, I stopped by Nankai Soba at Namba Station on my way home. I bought a ticket for curry udon from the vending machine. The price has gone up by 50 yen since my last visit about a year ago, now at 430 yen. The curry udon at Nankai Soba was as delicious as ever, with plenty of fried onions and bits of pork adding to the rich flavor. It may have crossed the 400 yen mark, but for a station curry udon, it is still a good choice. It was perfect for warming up on a cold winter day.

All tasks for the year have been completed and finally the New Year holiday has begun. I visited a place I had been neglecting for a long time. The feeling is like buying a meal ticket at the vending machine before entering the store. I was not sure whether to choose tempura or kakiage, but I decided on kakiage. I handed the ticket to the kitchen staff and waited briefly. About a minute later (maybe even faster), it appeared in front of me! This cheap-looking kakiage udon was irresistible. The noodles were soft and the broth was a bit light, but the kakiage soaked up the flavor well. It was delicious. This is good enough for me. Thank you for the meal.

I'm in Osaka. In Namba, Minami. This restaurant is located in the station building of Nankai Namba Station, on the 2nd floor concourse at the back. I arrived at Namba Station early in the morning, but the limited express Southern train was departing in 15 minutes. There was a sign saying "cleaning in progress" at the entrance of the train car. I could have waited on the bench, but I was a bit hungry, so I decided to go to Nankai Soba on the lower floor. I took out my coin purse from my pocket and purchased a meal ticket from the vending machine. Last time, I was disappointed when I tried udon for the first time in a while, so this time I chose "tanuki" soba. In Osaka, "tanuki" soba doesn't need the "so" part, but the meal ticket said "tanuki so". It's a warm soba with sweet fried tofu on top. I poured myself some water, placed the meal ticket on the counter, and my order was complete. A veteran staff member quickly prepared the tanuki soba with impressive skill, and it was ready in no time. I first took a bite of the fried tofu that spread generously in the bowl, then had some soba. The soba noodles were a bit thick and seemed a bit swollen, probably because they were reheated from pre-cooked noodles. I couldn't really taste the aroma of the soba. The broth was quite light, which is common in the early morning. Maybe it adjusts as it simmers over time? I finished the soba and fried tofu in just 2-3 minutes. I added some shichimi to the remaining broth, savored it, and finished my meal. I should have ordered an inari or onigiri to go with it. Feeling slightly unsatisfied, I returned to the platform on the 3rd floor, where the cleaning sign had just been removed. It took about 7-8 minutes in total. I'm happy that the soba bowl was made of ceramic, as it feels less lonely compared to the melamine resin bowls that are more common. I might stop by again when I take the Nankai train early in the morning.

When you want to eat something casually and quickly, standing soba shops in the station are the best. Prices have gone up everywhere, but it's nice to be able to fill your stomach for around 500 yen. The squid tempura may be cold, but it tastes delicious when dipped in the broth.

I visited the restaurant "Nankai Soba Namba 2nd floor store" for lunch that day. It is located right by the central ticket gate of Nankai Namba Station. I remembered how to enter the restaurant from my previous experience at Nanba Kyushokujo, so this time I asked at the gate and was allowed inside. I purchased the "Onigiri Set Meal for 410 yen" from the ticket machine and handed the ticket over at the counter. It's a set of kake udon and two onigiri, a typical combination you would find at a standing udon shop like this one! In the past, the chopstick tower at this counter was a symbol of Nankai Soba, but now, due to the pandemic, there are only individually wrapped chopsticks, which feels a bit lonely. I enjoyed a quick, delicious, and affordable Osaka standing udon experience. Thank you for the meal!

When I get hungry, I always end up going there. I usually order the squid tempura soba! And when I hand over the meal ticket, I ask for extra green onions! The amount of green onions they put on can vary depending on the person. This time, they generously piled it on. Well, it's much appreciated by green onion lovers. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the daily set meal with udon for 500 yen. It arrived in about 4-5 minutes, consisting of kake udon with fried tempura bits and gyudon. The udon was a bit soft and slightly stretchy. The flavor was light, similar to the taste I had 40 years ago at Nankai Soba near Sakai Station. The gyudon was sweet and savory, with a good amount of beef which was a pleasant surprise. For 500 yen, this was a great deal. Thank you for the meal.
