Here, you can enjoy a fugu (blowfish) kaiseki meal for only 7,000 yen, which is typically offered for around 10,000 yen. As expected from a fugu kaiseki, the meal includes fugu sashimi, fugu hot pot, fugu rice porridge, and more. The highlight is the "kattoppo" dish! This visually stunning dish is a specialty from the Goto Islands in Nagasaki, where blowfish belly is stuffed with miso and grilled whole. As you gently pull apart the flesh with chopsticks and enjoy it with the miso, you'll be amazed by the delicious taste. The chewy flesh paired with the sweet and savory miso is a perfect match that goes well with drinks. Even as someone who has lived in Kyushu for a long time, this was my first time trying this delicacy. I highly recommend experiencing it here. A restaurant near the station, casual atmosphere, good value for money. Despite being quite busy, the young staff were working hard to serve customers. They offer a ¥5000 all-you-can-drink course. [Romantic Zodiac 4,500 course] ⇒ Hakata Mizutaki / Horse sashimi / Kawahagi sashimi with unlimited drinks included. The unlimited drink time is great. The drinks weren't very cold, though. Even just this alone is not bad in terms of cost performance. So, I chose the above course, but what came out was horse sashimi and squid as shown in the photo. Where's the Kawahagi? It says on the net that it depends on the procurement situation (etc.), but I would appreciate a brief explanation. We started at 7 pm and it was about 3 and a half hours. We moved on to a nice second party while slightly drunk. Thank you for the meal. It was supposed to end there, but the next day, I suddenly felt very hungry. It's a common occurrence, but my stomach was abnormally empty. I wondered, and when I traced back yesterday's course menu, I found out that out of the 12 course items, we only ate 9. If they were still preparing the remaining 3 items, I feel really sorry, and it's quite unpleasant that we couldn't finish the course even after over 3 hours. Anyway, let's communicate a bit more with the customers.

Visited during a business trip to Hakata in March 2023 for a work social gathering. We used a private room which created a comfortable environment for conversation without feeling self-conscious. We visited on a weekday around 6 pm and by 7 pm, the place was fully booked and it became difficult to order drinks on the all-you-can-drink option. It seems like the all-you-can-drink option has no time limit, so it was a bit confusing as to why this was the case.

An izakaya located in a building right near Hakata Station. Despite the high rent due to its prime location, they offer a great deal with all-you-can-drink for 5,000 yen including tax. The room was spacious with tatami flooring, and there was even a Shishiodoshi in the back (although it wasn't moving). The all-you-can-drink option was unlimited time, which alone makes it worth it. The tatami layout was a bit unique, but overall it had a luxurious feel. The appetizers included Matsumae pickled herring roe and a cold soup. The pickled herring roe was a bit messy in taste, but the cold soup, possibly corn cream soup, was delicious. They also had a hot pot set up, resembling Kanto-style sukiyaki. It was a bit heavy for my taste as a Kansai person. It would have been nice if they had provided raw eggs as well. Surprisingly, there was sashimi assortment with live squid sashimi, flounder with engawa, and sesame mackerel. The squid was slightly lacking in transparency but still had a good texture. The flounder was tasty, although the sashimi soy sauce was too sweet for my liking. The sesame mackerel had that famous Hakata flavor. The squid was also served as tempura, but the tempura sauce was too strong, overpowering the squid's taste. The grilled chicken breast with plum paste was a bit too salty. The fried tofu pouches were also on the salty side. The grilled flounder with herring roe was a familiar taste. The effort to include herring roe twice was commendable. The finale was a steamed dish from hell, which was enjoyable with the ponzu sauce provided. The rice dish was forgettable. The dessert was warabi mochi, a standard taste. Despite a few minor complaints, the restaurant offered a great deal with all-you-can-drink for 5,000 yen including tax in such a prime location. It was a good place for a casual gathering with friends. The alcohol was a bit weak, but that's common in all-you-can-drink places. It would have been better if they made the drinks a bit stronger.

I came to Rōman-za for an offline meeting with Mairebi-sama and others! It's 3980 yen for unlimited drinks with no time limit!! Well, I think who you drink with is also important! Since I was with close friends, the alcohol was really worth the price, right?! Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, I went on a drinking expedition to Hakata! From Hakata Station, I went left at the Shinkansen exit and crossed one road to the underground dining area where "Romanza" is located. I was guided to a spacious private room with a partition (with sliding doors). This place offers unlimited drinks with no time limit, which is amazing! I started with a beer (Kinmugi). The appetizers like Matsumae pickles and mentaiko-style Matsumae pickles were not to my taste, but I enjoyed the corn soup. Each person had their own sukiyaki hot pot, which was nice. We also had a pot for cooking rice, which was a nice touch. However, the fire might have been weak or the fuel time short because the rice didn't cook well. There was a luxurious sashimi platter with squid sashimi and engawa (fluke fin). The sesame mackerel was a bit soft, and the fish mentaiko-yaki and rare chicken breast wrapped in yuba were good. The grilled squid tempura as a finishing touch was excellent! After the beer, we switched to sweet potato shochu. Even though we had unlimited time, we moved on to the next place. It's a great place for having a good time with friends!

Romantaza Hakata Store in Hakata, just a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station, is an izakaya that can accommodate up to 70 people. Located underground, it offers private rooms where you can enjoy local cuisine. Courses start from 3,500 yen with all-you-can-drink option, and there is no time limit for the drinks, which is great. All seats are smoking-permitted, which may appeal to smokers. They also accept reservations for daytime banquets. I tried dishes like live squid sashimi and sukiyaki, and the course portions were generous, leaving me satisfied. Personally, I found the grilled fish to be the most delicious. After a meeting, we had a meal here. The restaurant had shortened hours due to the pandemic, but we had a course with all-you-can-drink included. The restaurant was located on the underground floor with a shared toilet outside. We enjoyed drinks like draft beer, lemon sour, and highball, and patiently waited for the food to arrive. The sashimi platter was served, and the manager apologized for the limited fish options. However, we were satisfied with the sea bream, Ise ebi (lobster), and sea urchin. The sukiyaki was surprisingly rich in flavor. Overall, there were no major issues with the course. The private room was comfortable, smoking was allowed, and we had a good time. The only downside was having to hold it until we could go to the shared toilet outside. We would definitely visit again if given the chance.

After a long period of closure due to the state of emergency, I finally went out for dinner in Hakata at night. However, the situation is not completely back to normal, with last orders for alcohol at 8:30. I chose the "Romantic Course" with all-you-can-drink for 3,500 yen (excluding tax). We enjoyed a sashimi platter, individual hot pot shabu-shabu, and dessert. I don't remember much from the middle of the all-you-can-drink session as it had been a while since I last had one.

For 4000 yen, the unlimited drink time is satisfactory, but the food selection is very limited. The taste is decent, not bad.
