I went to a second restaurant while a little drunk. They had a variety of freshly fried skewers that I could enjoy. I didn't know it was a famous shop in Osaka, but the impact of the signboard man was strong and I decided to enter. The prices were cheap, even when paired with alcohol! It's great to be able to eat freshly fried food at a low price. The interior of the restaurant was spacious and bright. The staff were also friendly.

I came to Osaka and had kushikatsu. I arrived at 2:20 pm and was able to enter without waiting in line. I started with a simmered dish and since I was taking the Shinkansen back, I also had some alcohol. It was my first visit where cabbage was an extra charge, and I noticed that the sauce had changed from dipping to pouring type. The taste was delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that double dipping was not allowed.

Seated by sliding in. The capacity is there but it's quite crowded. Whenever we visit Isshin-ji Temple with my grandparents, we always stop by Daruma-san. There was only one store back then, and we used to line up as a family to eat. It has been a popular shop since then. Now there are more branches, which is great. It's the classic kushikatsu. The thick batter is also amazing. Renkon, kisu, pickled ginger, tomato - the list of things I want to eat is endless. The rule of not dipping twice (directly from the bottle) has been lifted, but the memories with my grandparents at this restaurant remain unchanged.

Visited with a group, the staff was accommodating by adding chairs and providing flexible service. It was convenient to be able to scan a QR code to place individual orders. The taste was consistently delicious, although the doten (pork and vegetable stew) was a bit lukewarm. The chicken bone broth ramen for the finale was decent. It was disappointing that both the sauce for the skewers and the cabbage became paid extras, but it's understandable given the changing times.

There was a floor underground, so I was able to enter the restaurant without waiting. The interior had tables and a child-friendly atmosphere. The kushikatsu was crispy and there were many types to enjoy. I recommend the pickled ginger.

The restaurant I wanted to go to was closed, so I decided to eat here to rest my exhausted body from the oppressive heat. As expected from a major chain store, the service was incredibly fast. The kushikatsu was decently delicious, but the tomato sour was surprisingly not tasty at all. I hope they improve that.

We went to this restaurant for lunch with my wife and beloved daughter on a Saturday around 1:00 pm. Despite the line, we were seated quickly as there were only three of us. The lantern had "No second helping" written on it, but the extra sauce was charged (264 yen) and even the cabbage was charged (110 yen), which was a bit... well, understandable given the current circumstances. We decided to go with the sauce that came with an extra charge this time.
First, we toasted with a draft beer (616 yen) and ordered the following skewers: Original skewers (143 yen each x 3), garlic chicken tenderloin (143 yen), plum and shiso chicken tenderloin (220 yen each x 2), asparagus (143 yen each x 3), pickled ginger (143 yen each x 3), and doteyaki (440 yen each x 2). The doteyaki was a complete misunderstanding as we thought we were ordering skewers and ended up with two pieces. We should have just ordered one, and it was disappointingly sweeter than expected. The skewers had a crispy coating and juicy filling, which made them delicious.
We also ordered a shochu highball (lemon) (495 yen) and more skewers: thick-cut bacon (143 yen), pike conger (286 yen), quail (143 yen), fatty salmon (220 yen), spicy cod roe (220 yen), etc. The total came to a little over 7,000 yen for the three of us. My wife and daughter were both satisfied, so it was a good meal. Thank you for the feast.
*It may have been because it was a Saturday, but despite the continuous rain, the restaurant was almost full the whole time we were there, with customers coming and going constantly.

I come to Osaka a few times a year for work and private reasons, but today is a private day ^_^ With my family, we decided to try the famous Osaka specialty, Daruma Hozonji, for dinner. We arrived around 7 pm without a reservation and had to wait for about 20 minutes as the restaurant was full. Once inside, the staff took our order initially and then we used QR code ordering. It felt like experiencing the modern era! The deep-fried skewers were delicious! Thank you for the meal! #Impressive inbound service #Hospitality is important after all

I don't really like this kind of restaurant, so I don't go often, but I visited at my husband's request! One reason I don't like it is because of Kushi Katsu Tanaka... I personally find it not tasty, so I thought all restaurants in the same price range were similar. So I went with no expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was quite delicious! I realized that not all places are the same haha. Cheap, fast, and tasty! Osaka is truly amazing! Thank you for the meal♪

Day drinking with kushikatsu! Are the tourists coming back? Dotonbori is crowded with lots of people and most popular restaurants have long waiting times. After a long time, I finally found a place with few people waiting. It only took about 5 minutes to get in. The kushikatsu was delicious and the draft beer was excellent! The doteyaki was also tasty! I couldn't just have one beer, so I had another one. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and it was a great place to enjoy a lively afternoon. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I was on a business trip to Osaka and couldn't decide where to go, so I ended up at the popular spot, Dotonbori. I remembered a place called Hozoji Yokocho that I had visited with my boss a long time ago, so I decided to check it out. I wandered around trying to decide where to eat, and amidst the crowded restaurants, I ended up choosing a tempura place. The food was good, but a bit pricey as expected in a tourist area.

Yesterday, we had guests from Edo try out #kushikatsu♪ at our Daruma Kushikatsu restaurant in Hozoji. Despite the sign saying no double-dipping in the sauce for the original kushikatsu made with beef and black wagyu, the sauce was served in a bottle. The thick, sweet batter is loved by all, and the sauce is also on the sweeter side. The guests were delighted with the doteyaki and especially enjoyed the delicious shrimp. Great Osaka gourmet experience!

The finale of the gourmet trip was here. The photo is of the New World set. You can also add additional items separately, so everyone can choose their favorite menu. The kisu-buri, yamaimo, shiitake, eggplant, ginger, shiso, garlic, etc. were all enjoyable to select.

When it comes to Osaka, you have to try kushikatsu. I finally got to try it and opted to order a variety of skewers individually. It turned out to be more affordable and fun that way, and I ended up eating a lot. Due to COVID-19 measures, the sauce was not for dipping but for pouring. I tried a variety of meats, fish, and vegetables, and everything was delicious with a crispy texture. I especially liked the pickled ginger and mochi.

It goes without saying that Daruma is the place to go for kushikatsu! There are many kushikatsu restaurants in Osaka, but this one is my favorite. The restaurants are always crowded for a reason! The kushikatsu is light so you can keep eating more and more!

I went sightseeing alone around Ise Shima and on my way back, I decided to eat something in Namba, so I used this place. The popularity of this place is incredible since the recovery from the pandemic. I was able to get in quickly on that day, which was nice. I sat at the counter right by the entrance. The first floor has a counter and tables. I have never been to the second floor or above, but it always seems busy. When it comes to kushikatsu restaurants, the greasy oil can be a concern, but this place has a lot of cleanliness. It's a shop where you can visit with peace of mind. The staff quickly came to take my order. I was a bit flustered at first, but the actual order is done by scanning a QR code and ordering directly from your smartphone. It's great for solo diners because there's no need for conversation. The user-friendly program was easy to use and convenient. I ordered the Midosuji set and various highballs. I also had some beer. I enjoyed vegetables, shrimp, and some meat. This moderate omakase style is what makes the shop flourish. Let's immerse ourselves and spend some money without getting too detailed. Everyone has been through a tough time because of the pandemic. The kushikatsu here, with its exquisite sweetness in the batter, is so delicious that it's drool-worthy. It's a fantastic place. I spent about an hour enjoying the kushikatsu and left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal! It's a really great place. As the recovery progresses, the lines might get even longer, but I would love to visit again!

I went to Daruma Kushiage in Osaka with my friend from Tokyo who wanted to eat something Osaka-style. It had been a while since I last visited. We had to order a drink and food first since it was already last order. I ordered a set menu, but I felt like the prices had gone up. The most surprising thing was the price of alcohol: - Premium Masters Dream: 748 yen - Premium Scented Ale: 616 yen - Kakuhai Highball: 517 yen Expensive! The kushiage tasted good, but at this price, I'm not sure if it's worth it. The sauce was not the dipping type due to the pandemic, but rather poured on top. There were also many foreign staff members.

The taste was stable! The Hozoji set includes original skewers, natural shrimp, quail, asparagus, rice cake, pork cutlet, cheese fish cake, meatball, sausage, sweet potato, fried chicken, and cheese! Additionally ordered pickled ginger and beef tongue. Especially the pickled ginger and cheese were delicious!

It's been a while since I've been to Daruma. The number of stores has increased rapidly. Today, I went to the Hozanji store. Just in Namba, I know of three stores. The breadcrumbs are super light and delicious. I always finish with pickled ginger (laughs). People around me are eating like crazy. This is my second stop, I can't eat that much but I ordered various items and I'm satisfied.

One of the super famous kushikatsu restaurants in Osaka. Kushikatsu Tanaka's menu is gradually decreasing and I felt unsatisfied, so I really appreciate the wide variety of menu options! The kushikatsu has fine and light breadcrumbs, so it's not greasy at all! The alcohol is also cheap, making it a reasonable place to eat and drink. Thank you for the meal!
