A coffee shop in Nihonbashi that opens at 8 am. They offer a cheap morning set, with an anko butter toast set priced at 500 yen, which is a great deal. They also have other options like a morning toast set for 500 yen, and a set with TKG, miso soup, and salad for 650 yen. The menu is diverse and offers good value. The first floor has the cashier and food counter, while the second floor has around 20 seats for dining in. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it a favorite cafe. It's not crowded in the early hours, so it's a great place to relax or work in the morning.

I used it for breakfast ☀️ The breakfast menu is abundant and cheap!! I chose the miso soup and rice with raw egg set. It was gentle and tasty♪ Yes, this is what I was looking for (><)! It seems like they also serve lunch, and they have cakes and parfaits, so I will definitely come back again~

It's so cute~♡...this ( ´∀`)σ( ⸝⸝⸝. .⸝⸝⸝ )(๑⃙⃘ˊ꒳ˋ๑⃙⃘)♡♡ᵕ̈*⑅ And when you actually taste it, it has more volume than it looks ✨️✨️✨️...it's quite filling, so please be careful when ordering. Sharing it is enough as a dessert~♡ I'm completely satisfied this time too✨️✨️✨️...although this post is from a while ago, so I apologize if this limited-time dessert menu has already ended. The "Strawberry Brulee Parfait" from "Kissa Shochiku" is really cute૮ . ̫ . ა ⸝꙳ It's delicious too(b´∀`)right! And the stained glass inside the store is beautiful✨️✨️✨️ I really like "Shochiku"~(*・ω・)ノ The first time, I was really curious about the big BGM, but now that there are many customers, the voices of the surrounding customers are more audible. I wish they would lower the BGM a bit. If you could hear the small sounds like music boxes in a quiet place, it would be really soothing. But well, that's how it is, popular places are always bustling ( ;ᯅ; ) *Tea time on weekends was super crowded ( ;ᯅ; ) Of course, I made a reservation, so I secured my usual seat, but the other seats were full, and even when one group left, there were 3-4 groups waiting outside and inside the store, so the seats were quickly filled. Watching from this seat right after going up the stairs, it always feels busy, and I felt like I had to leave as soon as I finished eating...but this creme brulee has quite a volume, and my spoon stopped around halfway through lol.

I feel like I encountered the best morning set ever♡ This time, I gave a morning menu a rating of 3.6 for the first time✨️ The "Morning Set" at "Shochiku" that you can order during the morning time from opening until 11:00 am. The menus we ordered this time were: ○ Pork miso soup morning set ¥650 - Salad, Tamago Kake Gohan, Shochiku's specialty "pork miso soup", Drink (this time it was coffee) ○ An butter toast morning set ¥500 - Red bean paste, Cream, Butter on a small-sized toast with thickness & Drink (this time it was tea) I've had the An butter toast morning set about 3 times, but the balance is excellent✨️ It's delicious and even though it looks small, the toast is thick and filling, always very satisfying (*゚▽゚)ノ What impressed me this time was that the pork miso soup & Tamago Kake Gohan were delicious✨️ This morning set at the familiar coffee shop "Shochiku" always leaves me very satisfied. If it were a morning set from a shop I randomly entered during a trip, I would surely be impressed and give it a 4.0✨️ It was that satisfying. I visited on a Saturday morning at 9:30 am, and the store was constantly full. I recommend making a reservation before going (You can make reservations online or by phone). My recommended seat is still the 2-person seat right after going up the stairs, where you can see all the stained glass✨️✨️✨️ Lastly, if you are looking for "sweets," please be aware that you can order them starting from 11:00 am, so be careful. Thank you very much!!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was full and we had to wait as the second in line. After about 20 minutes, we were seated on the second floor. The seating area seemed a bit cramped, maybe because the ceiling was low. The staff were friendly. We had decided on the pancakes beforehand, and also ordered the pan stew and hamburger because my companion was hungry. The hamburger was said to be very delicious. The pan stew had large chunks of potatoes, giving it a satisfying texture. The pancakes were incredibly thick and large, served with maple syrup, butter, and whipped cream. Given the size of the pancakes, it might have been better to add extra toppings. The menu is extensive, and I would like to try their cakes as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

After finishing work at Takashimaya Osaka store, I ordered a Morning Toast Set (toast, boiled egg, drink *iced coffee) for 500 yen including 10% tax. The atmosphere was nice and I wanted to relax, but I had to head to the next job so I quickly ate and left. I received a point card. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time before my dinner plans, so I visited a place I had been wanting to go to for a while, Matsuzaki in Namba (Nankai). I don't come to this area often, but it feels like more Osaka locals gather here than tourists. I arrived at the shop weaving through the crowd around 5:30 in the evening, and had to wait for about 15 minutes as the place was full. While waiting, I looked around the shop from the first floor and noticed the unique "pine tree" paintings on the walls and ceiling, giving it a traditional Japanese atmosphere with a mix of Western style. The shop has a retro cafe vibe with retro magazines placed around. The exterior features Western-style tiles but also has a Japanese touch, making it a fusion of both styles. I didn't know the previous shop, but I heard that the retro-loving owner took over and the vivid stained glass catches the eye. The stained glass, rather than Western style, has colors that would suit moonlight rather than daytime sunlight, reminiscent of old Western-style Japanese architecture. When I was guided to the second floor, I saw many solo customers, and the quiet atmosphere in the shop made me forget about the hustle and bustle outside. I knew that the popular "Adelia Retro" glasses were being used for drinks, so I intended to order something with them, but I was surprised when they brought out plain water. As I had waited longer than expected, I quickly ordered something that could be made right away. [Traditional pudding] [Iced coffee] The pudding was a firm Showa-style pudding with a satisfying size. The coaster had a mid-century floral design. The menu includes retro items like hotcakes and traditional pudding, as well as roast pork, tonjiru set, affogato, BLT sandwich, and more. It falls into the category of a "neo-cafe," but just looking at the stained glass all around the shop and the Adelia Retro glasses used regularly is enjoyable. This time I rushed through my visit, but next time I would like to take my time and try some of the food menu items. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the much-anticipated Kissaten Matsutake near Otaku Road in Nipponbashi, Osaka ☕️ Ordered the Hotcakes (800 yen) and Cream Soda (550 yen) ✨ The hotcakes were thick and generously portioned ❤️ Soaked in syrup, they tasted like pure happiness... The Cream Soda, a drink I don't usually have, brought back nostalgic flavors and made me feel all emo (is that still a thing?) ✨ Went there on an empty stomach, but even with two hotcakes, I was full. There are other menu items I want to try, so I'd love to go back! The interior, with its stained glass, was super cozy ✨ @kissa_matsutake Access: About a 10-minute walk from Nipponbashi Station. #KissatenMatsutake #NipponbashiCafe #NambaCafe #OsakaCafe #OsakaPancakes #OsakaHotcakes #Hotcakes #OsakaSweets #OsakaKissaten

Stylish Cafe • Latest Sweets Information Here ▶️ @pudding_pr_ambassador' ℙ✍ "Old-fashioned Pudding" A nostalgic coffee shop opened in August 2021. The lunch menu, which changes regularly, is popular, and you can also enjoy dessert after your meal. The hotcakes are highly praised for their overwhelming size, so make sure to challenge them on an empty stomach. They also offer delivery services through Uber Eats and Demae-can, so you can enjoy their food at home. Introducing a pudding with a retro look. The generous amount of cream is sweet and rich, and the pudding itself has a gentle sweetness and a nice firm texture. The moderate sweetness that lingers in your mouth without being too overwhelming is pure happiness. Despite its retro appearance, it provides a sophisticated touch. After finishing the early morning work at Takashimaya Osaka, I visited a cafe inside the store for the first time. The interior of the cafe has been renovated to a retro-modern atmosphere, with pine tree wallpaper on the ceiling. The stained glass windows and handrails on the second floor add to the retro feel, giving it a foreign mansion-like atmosphere. I was led to the loft-style second floor. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks, as well as classic cafe dishes like special Napoli, domestic roast steak set, and special yukke-dare roast pork bowl. The morning menu is available from 8:00 to 11:00. I ordered the hotcake set (with iced coffee) for 600 yen including tax. The hotcakes were thick and delicious, with a beautiful presentation. The iced coffee had a unique taste, with foam on top, which I enjoyed. Whether the owner runs the cafe alone or not, I do not know, but it seemed like a lot of work as they were constantly moving between the kitchen on the first floor and serving dishes. Thank you for the meal.

The stylish coffee shop Matsutake with stained glass was about to close, so there were hardly any other customers and I could relax. The special Matsutake miso soup set and old-fashioned pudding were simple but satisfying. The atmosphere inside the shop added to the experience, and I left feeling quite content.

Today's Morning
Today, I had breakfast at a cafe called "Matsutake" located near Namba Station on the Nankai Main Line. It's a cafe on Otaro Road in Nipponbashi. I was intrigued by their Japanese breakfast menu when I came here before to try their hotcakes. I ordered the Special Matsutake Pork Miso Soup Set for 650 yen (tax included), which included miso soup, rice topped with dragon's egg, salad, and a drink. The egg-topped rice I had for breakfast was delicious. It made me feel grateful to be born Japanese. The miso soup made with three kinds of mushrooms was nutritious and comforting with plenty of ingredients. The salad was fresh and tasty. The iced coffee had a bitter taste that was a bit strong. They also provide WiFi, so I relaxed and enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious meal. By the way, since it's a cafe on Otaro Road, the music playing was mostly anime theme songs, which was great.

I moved to Nihonbashi. I had been saddened by the closure of a unique retro café called "Take" with an old-fashioned Japanese tile exterior and a two-story atrium with a chandelier inside. However, I recently found out that it has reopened as "Kissaten Matsutake" and decided to visit. As I approached the shop, the exterior Japanese tile looked the same, but the door was made of stained glass. Upon entering, I noticed that all the large windows on the first floor were also stained glass, which was very beautiful. The two-story atrium structure was the same, but there was no chandelier, and the ceiling and walls were adorned with pine tree paintings, giving a luxurious feel that was a mix of Western and Japanese styles. I sat on the second floor where I could overlook the café. The irregular windows on the second floor were also made of stained glass. A female staff member brought me a glass of water in Adelia glass and I ordered a pizza toast for 650 yen and a blend coffee for 480 yen (with a 200 yen discount for the set). Soon, they were served - the thick-sliced pizza toast was cut with a knife and when I took a bite, it had a brown sauce similar to demi-glace instead of a tomato flavor, with cheese, sliced sausages, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions as toppings. The taste was authentically delicious, surpassing that of a regular café. The coffee had a deep roasted bitterness and a full-bodied flavor that could stand on its own even with added brown sugar and milk. The female staff member, who seemed to be the owner, mentioned that the shop had been renovated and reopened in August 2021, so it was just about to celebrate its first anniversary. She was a young retro café enthusiast, and we had a lively conversation. It was great to see the old retro café "Take" being passed on to the next generation and infused with new life.

Today's Morning
Today, I went to Namba in the morning after a long time~♪ I visited the coffee shop "Shochiku" in Nihonbashi to try the morning set that I have been curious about~♪ The location is just three blocks to the right from the famous "Ichiyotei Main Store" known for delicious shumai, with the shop on the right diagonally across the third intersection. Since I arrived right after the 8 o'clock opening, I quickly secured a seat where I could overlook the interior of the store from the stairs~♪ I ordered the Hotcake Morning for 600 yen (tax included), which included hotcakes and a drink. The hotcakes were served promptly, with a good thickness and looked delicious! They were accompanied by maple syrup and whipped cream. They were quite satisfying and tasty~♪ The Iced Earl Grey Tea was also generous in portion, with a refreshing taste and minimal bitterness. The light shining through the stained glass onto the Iced Earl Grey Tea was beautiful♪ It was a relaxing time~ Thank you for the meal♪

During my last visit, I had the "An Butter Danish Toast Morning" for ¥500, which was quite delicious. This time, it seems like the highlight is the thickness, with the "Hotcake Morning" for ¥600. The popular hotcakes on the regular menu come in a set of two for ¥700, but the morning menu offers just one thick hotcake for ¥600, which I personally prefer. It comes with a drink, making it a great deal. The hotcake is served with whipped cream and maple syrup, which is a nice touch. With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, I arrived at the shop right when it opened at 8 am to ensure a safe dining experience. After enjoying the morning meal, I had plans to go shopping elsewhere. The second floor, which had piqued my curiosity, was completely empty, and I was able to check out all the seating options, including the secluded corner seat that I had been eyeing for a while. Ultimately, I chose my favorite spot near the staircase with a view of the stained glass windows. I took some photos with the green stained glass as the backdrop for a refreshing lemon tea, as well as with the red stained glass for a vibrant lemon tea. Both photos turned out great, and I enjoyed some self-care time looking at them. I recommend visiting the restaurant right when it opens, like I did, for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I wanted to have dinner here. They have Free Wi-Fi available. Cash, electronic money, PayPay, WAON, iD payment, etc. are accepted. It was Saturday at 5 pm. There were 8 customers already seated, and 3 came in later. Most of the customers were men! There were people sharing pancakes, enjoying beer and charcuterie sets, and various other types of customers. We ordered the following for our meal:
- Napoli-style spaghetti with salad & soup: 900 yen
- Curry rice with salad: 750 yen
- Traditional pudding: 500 yen
- Cola float: 550 yen
- Cream soda: 550 yen
The salad & soup were served in 5 minutes. The curry and Napoli-style spaghetti were served in about 10 minutes. The curry had a tangy flavor with a hint of Japanese dashi, and the Napoli-style spaghetti had a satisfying mix of bacon and sausage. The pudding was smooth and creamy, with a nice contrast between the custard and caramel. I wanted to try the chocolate banana parfait as well, but I ended up feeling full from the drinks and ice cream. I'll try it next time!
I noticed that the volume of the background music was not as loud as before when sitting on the second floor towards the back (previously I was near the stairs). I wonder if it depends on the seating location?! It was interesting how the bell on the table that you ring to call the staff actually works. The female staff members were efficient and friendly. There are many other menu items I want to try, so I'll come back to redeem my stamp card rewards next time. Thank you for the meal!

I was looking for a good place to have a girls' night out with my former colleague from the previous company, and I came across a cafe with stained glass on Tabelog. It caught my interest, so I decided to visit the cafe. The first floor had seats for solo customers, and on the second floor, there were a few table seats. When I arrived around 3 pm, the place was almost full, but I managed to find a seat just in time. The stained glass was beautiful, and even the water glass they brought was retro and cute, making me fall in love with the cafe instantly. I ordered the following: - Traditional pudding - Cafe au lait The pudding arrived shortly after, followed by the cafe au lait with a coaster that was also retro and cute with a floral pattern. I couldn't help but exclaim, "This is too cute!" even though my vocabulary was lacking. The staff kindly teased me about it, creating a friendly atmosphere. The pudding had the perfect texture, not too firm or too soft, and the caramel was just right, not too bitter. It was larger than I expected and very satisfying. The cafe seemed to have many female customers, but surprisingly, there were male groups on both sides when I entered. It seems to be a place where both men and women can feel comfortable. I would recommend it for both lunch and cafe visits. As I left, the friendly staff continued to joke with me about the "too cute" comment. I also noticed that the Neapolitan for lunch looked delicious, so I might come back during lunchtime next time.

I happened to visit the cafe on the day when the morning menu was updated. It was a delightful surprise! I found out about the new menu on Instagram after returning home in the evening. Weekday mornings are really nice, especially when I have the day off work. After seeing my family off, I changed into fresh clothes and took the train for a morning outing. The cafe "Kissa Shochiku" has a morning time from 8 am to 11 am with various breakfast menu options. I chose a special seat on the second floor, where I could take photos freely as there were only two other customers. I ordered the An Butter Toast Morning set, which was a small but thick Danish bread with red bean paste, cream, and butter on top. It was delicious and perfect for a morning treat. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the lovely BGM. I will definitely visit again soon to try their new pancake morning set. Overall, it was a fantastic morning experience at the cafe.

I visited the cafe "Kissa Matsutake" in Nihonbashi, which I wanted to go to after reading reviews from my fellow reviewers. Despite its calm exterior, the cafe is decorated with beautiful stained glass and a painting of pine trees on the ceiling, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the pudding I wanted to try was sold out, so I ordered the following instead: - Strawberry Tart - Cafe Latte * Got a 100 yen discount with the drink set The tart had plenty of strawberries and the crust was thick, providing a satisfying texture (lol). The cafe latte was pretty standard. The loud J-pop music was a bit overwhelming, but I would like to visit again. I also got a point card (lol). Thank you for the meal.

The moment you open the door, you are greeted by stained glass used throughout the walls in various colors like green, yellow, orange, pink, etc. It's so beautiful! This place is called "Kissaten Shochiku" and it looks completely different from the inside. Thanks to a review from Demi-shisho, I discovered this super Instagrammable cafe. The ceiling has a drawing of "pine" reflecting the old-fashioned exterior of the cafe. Inside, there are three cute girls running the place. The menu has a good variety of sweets, and if you order a drink with your sweet, you get a 100 yen discount. I ordered custard pudding and orange juice, and it was delicious. The caramel sauce could be a bit more bitter for my taste. I'm curious about their breakfast and morning menu, so I might come back again. Overall, it's a place I would recommend!
