I visited Osaka on a business trip and tried some fluffy takoyaki instead of the usual crispy ones, which was the most delicious. I only had the standard one this time due to time constraints, but I want to try various flavors like dashi soy sauce and salt next time! It's a taste that I definitely want to try when I go to Osaka! Highly recommended!

I visited the restaurant with my family on a holiday afternoon. The location is at the corner of the intersection between Ebisubashi-suji Shopping Street and Namba Center Street Shopping Street, diagonally across from 551 Main Store. While the main store is technically the one near Grand Kagetsu, the Namba store, Kuromon Market store, and Dotonbori store are all nearby as well. Today, on the holiday, there was a line of about 10 people heading towards Midosuji Avenue. It seems that most of the customers are inbound tourists. I remember visiting their Tenroku store a few years ago (which has since closed) and being impressed by their simple yet flavorful takoyaki, despite not being a fan of flour-based foods. So, I decided to purchase a 12-piece pack for takeout for 850 yen. I placed my order with the person making the takoyaki, then moved to the side to pay and pick up my order. It can take a while when there are inbound tourists around. I asked for sauce to be added on top. The takoyaki was packed in a paper container and I carried it home for about 15 minutes. When I opened the lid, the takoyaki had become a bit soggy, which was expected. The soft and fluffy texture of the takoyaki made it difficult to pick up with the provided skewer. It was more like spooning it into my mouth. Despite this, I could still enjoy the overall taste, although the sauce may not have been the best match. The delicious flavor of the takoyaki itself didn't need such a strong seasoning. Some people were eating their takoyaki on the street or in alleyways, which seemed like the best way to enjoy it, but it's not always possible. It would have been nice to have a more spacious area to eat in, but that might be asking for too much. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I finally went to my favorite takoyaki place!! I love takoyaki so I was really excited. I also tried the takoyaki with shrimp inside for the first time, and it was really delicious too. It was very filling. I'm sure I'll be eating it again tomorrow. Thank you for the meal!

The popular store was quite crowded, including foreign tourists! The price has gone up since before, now 8 pieces for ¥600, but I think it's worth it! They offer four flavors: sauce, dashi soy sauce, salt, and spicy sauce. I tried the most popular sauce flavor and it was delicious! The fluffy and creamy takoyaki was exquisite.

Osaka foodie trip, third stop. Tried the classic takoyaki. There was a long line, I think I was the 10th person in line. After some hesitation, I went with the traditional takoyaki with sauce, 8 pieces for 600 yen. They served it on a boat-shaped plate for eating there, or in a box for takeout. It was hot and gooey! So delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is "Wanaka" in Namba. There is also a "Wanaka Sennichimae store" in front of the Grand Kagetsu theater just a short walk away, but the "Sennichimae store" is always crowded. This store is less crowded. However, this store has only 3 seats for dining in, and the space is small and not particularly clean, so if you want a spacious dining area, I think the "Sennichimae store" or "Dotonbori store" would be better. Takoyaki comes in a set of 8 for 600 yen including tax. There is also an "Ooiri" set of 8 for 700 yen where you can enjoy 4 flavors of sauce, soy sauce, salt, and spicy sauce. They also sell takosen for 200 yen and canned beer for 300 yen. The standard takoyaki set of 8 for 600 yen including tax comes with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. The freshly made hot takoyaki is delicious. The takoyaki is slightly larger compared to other stores. It has a nice texture with a slight hint of broth. Among the takoyaki I've eaten, as a Tokyoite, I felt this was the most orthodox Osaka-style takoyaki taste (a compliment). I appreciate that they have a dining area, even though there are only 3 seats. Many Osaka takoyaki shops do not have a dining area and operate in a street food stall style. From the perspective of beautifying the city, I highly appreciate shops that have a well-maintained dining area.

When researching takoyaki restaurants in Osaka, Wanaka-san is one of the top choices. You can choose the flavor of the sauce, but since it was my first time, I went with the classic option. The takoyaki was fluffy and creamy, and the sauce was just to my liking. There are many takoyaki shops lined up in Shinsaibashi, so it's really fun to compare and try different ones.

It's been a while since I visited the Namba area. This takoyaki shop is also nostalgic. The ramen shop next door is famous too, but this place is also well-known. When I arrived, there was already a line, but I was able to order quickly and take it to go. There are more topping options now, but I went with the classic sauce, seaweed, and mayonnaise. It was worth the wait, the taste was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Around 2 PM, I visited with two friends and we were able to sit inside as there were exactly 3 vacant seats. I ordered the regular salt takoyaki, while my friend ordered the one with green onions. I discovered the deliciousness of eating takoyaki with salt during this trip to Osaka, so I ordered it with salt here as well. The inside was creamy and hot like magma, but it was consistently delicious! Next time, I will order the takoyaki with noodles!

I wanted to try different flavors, so I ordered a set of four. The staff was very enthusiastic and provided great service. The dishes were hot and creamy, and delicious. I wasn't a big fan of the spicy cod roe mayo, but everything else was tasty!

When you visit Osaka, you definitely want to eat takoyaki before you leave, right? Even though I'm full, I can still eat takosen! I quickly headed to this popular spot to get some freshly made takoyaki. Crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and piping hot! The octopus is tender and delicious, but it's so hot that it's hard to eat...burning hot level? I managed to eat it while panting. I always think that when it comes to takosen, you get two takoyaki for one senbei. I wish they would add one more if possible. But I enjoyed it anyway!

An old takoyaki shop that has been around for a long time. They use a large plate for making takoyaki, which is not uncommon but stands out. It's not a trendy takoyaki shop, but rather a classic one with a traditional feel. They offer a variety of flavors to keep things interesting, but personally, I recommend the takoyaki with salt, mayonnaise, and green onions on top, paired with a beer. If you're looking for something casual, the takosen is also popular and worth trying.

On the second day of my Osaka expedition, I visited this place for the first time. A friend recommended that I try their takoyaki when in Osaka, so I lined up despite the crowd. The store opened early, so I didn't have to wait long to get my order. I ordered the Ooiri, which allows you to try four flavors (sauce, green onion salt, mentaiko mayo, soy sauce) at once. I wanted to eat it on the spot, but due to time constraints, I took it home and reheated it. The outer layer was soft yet crispy, while the inside was creamy. All four flavors were delicious and I enjoyed the experience. Osaka's flour-based dishes are truly the best. Thank you for the meal!

One of the places I visited because I really wanted to eat takoyaki during my trip to Osaka. It was quite crowded in Namba. We ate inside the store, and it was busy. I haven't eaten takoyaki that much, so my impression was just that it was delicious! I couldn't really tell the difference. But it was delicious. I will definitely visit again when I go back to Osaka.

Osaka, a famous shop for takoyaki. I heard that this place is popular when I looked it up. I was able to buy without waiting on a weekday evening. There are about 3 seats for eating in the store and 2 outside the store. This time, I had the "ooiri" which allows you to enjoy each flavor with 2 pieces each. It is very hot and delicious when freshly made. I liked the classic sauce takoyaki the best.

There are octopus balls, 8 for 600 yen and 12 for 850 yen, I think. The shop is located in a lively shopping street, and being there gives a fun vibe. The octopus is chewy, the batter has a refined taste. However, I felt that there was not enough sauce (although some might say it's enough).

Namba is a fierce battleground for takoyaki. Among them, a branch that originated from the main store next to Yoshimoto in Namba has expanded to several stores in the area and even to Fukuoka in other prefectures. Their takoyaki style is slightly crispy on the outside, with a dashi broth inside and no cabbage, and the size is normal. When freshly made, it's hot, so you need some advanced skills to eat it without burning yourself. To be safe, I recommend grabbing a cold tea from the vending machine next to it and enjoy it while walking around Namba. Everywhere you go in Namba, you'll feel like eating takoyaki, and when you look around, you'll see takoyaki shops in sight. Whether they are all delicious or not, "I don't know" ===========

In Osaka, a popular takoyaki shop! When in Osaka, you have to have takoyaki, right? I ordered a set with four different flavors and it was delicious. There was a line, but it moved quickly. Once you order, you can eat at a separate location. I wish they were a bit more generous with the sauce and toppings though. It was hot and tasty, but be careful not to burn yourself! Takoyaki itself wasn't anything mind-blowing, but eating it is a memorable experience. Thank you for the meal! ❤️

In Osaka, there is a very popular takoyaki shop. Osaka is definitely known for its flour-based dishes. I have tried takoyaki in many places, but this might be my favorite. The takoyaki here, 8 pieces, has a crispy outside and a creamy inside, it's the best in Osaka. The balance is amazing. Thank you for the delicious meal!

For some reason, I had never been to Namba before, but this time I stayed there for work. However, my presentation for tomorrow is not yet complete, so I am feeling restless while eating my way around. I will work on it when I get back! I had 8 pieces of "Ooiri" for 700 yen, with sauce mayo, soy sauce with bonito flakes, salt with green onions, and a limited-time flavor. During the summer, they do not allow takeout. The limited-time flavor was mentaiko mayo. It's really a great deal to be able to enjoy four different flavors on one plate for 700 yen! There was a small eat-in space available in the store, so I ate the freshly baked takoyaki there. Eating them hot and fresh is truly a unique experience. The authentic takoyaki in Namba was really delicious! I am satisfied after having authentic takoyaki in Namba. Thank you for the meal!
