They also have a pork cutlet set meal, but I can't eat too much until udon, so I ordered just the pork cutlet with rice and fried fish cake. The pork cutlet here is not the type with too much extra fat, so it's easy to eat and delicious. It's my favorite. It's a happiness to eat it hot and freshly made. I will definitely come back.

I went to an udon restaurant located in Shinmachi 1, right near Yotsuhashi Station ⭐︎ I ordered the beef udon for 730 yen, which was delicious and affordable even at night, and the pork cutlet bowl with mini udon set for 900 yen. The beef udon was tasty, but it didn't fill me up completely. The pork cutlet bowl was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today, under the clear blue sky, I took a stroll around Shinmachi and decided to visit "Benten Udon" for the first time in a while. It was quite busy, but luckily there was a seat available at the counter.
I ordered the Katsudon with a mini cold udon, which cost 850 yen. The Katsudon was delicious, with a vibrant yellow egg topping and a crispy coating that didn't get soggy even after soaking up the broth. The smooth udon noodles had a great texture and were very tasty.
The unique tone of voice of the manager added to the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you.

During my work lunch break, I really wanted to eat udon noodles. Even though it was cold outside, I was in the mood for something cold, so I ended up getting the tempura udon. The noodles were thinner than I expected, but they were smooth and easy to eat. The tempura was soft and delicious! It was around 2 o'clock, so the restaurant was relatively calm. I heard that their curry udon is famous, so I want to try that next time!

I went to Benten Udon. While they are not from Kagawa, today the main dish was Katsudon (breaded pork cutlet bowl) (°▽°). I ordered the weekday lunch set, which includes the 10th Katsudon and a mini cold udon. For an extra 100 yen, you can get a larger portion, but I didn't want to feel too full for my afternoon work. The energetic collaboration between the owner and the staff is great. The Katsudon was a bit light in flavor, but it was homemade and had a sweet sauce that went well with the rice. The cold udon was served with grated ginger, which added a nice touch. The thin noodles were nicely chilled and easy to slurp up. I was more satisfied than I expected, so it was a good meal. Thank you for the meal.

I entered the restaurant at 1:05 pm on Monday. The place was packed and bustling with activity. The cozy, Western-style interior had a clean, white and natural wood color scheme. The atmosphere was lively with the sound of customers and the staff chatting and cooking. The background music was playing softly but it was hard to hear over the noise. The restaurant was run by a male owner and two female staff members. The owner had a unique charm to him.
I ordered the weekday lunch special "Curry Udon with White Rice for 830 yen, plus Tempura for 150 yen, totaling 980 yen." You could also choose mixed rice as an option, and they offered free refills, although I didn't need it. The food was served in about 5 minutes. The curry broth was rich with a hint of sweetness, thickened with starch. The udon noodles were thin and had a chewy texture. They were stretchy and didn't break easily. The tempura was crispy but a bit lukewarm, probably because it was pre-fried. It was just okay in terms of taste. The rice portion was generous and cooked to a soft texture. The curry broth was a bit lacking, but overall, it was decent.
The curry udon was pretty standard, nothing exceptional. The udon noodles were good, but the overall balance was just okay. Personally, I prefer a less sweet curry broth. However, the meal was filling and satisfying. I finished it with a satisfied belly. I would rate the curry udon at 75 points.

A recommended restaurant for those who want a quick and cheap lunch or for those who want to eat heartily is Benten Udon. The location is about 1-2 minutes walk northwest from the Yotsuhashi intersection. The restaurant has 6 counter seats and 6 two-person table seats, and during lunchtime, it is a popular spot crowded with busy office workers from the nearby area. They offer a variety of udon menu items, from classic udon to special lunchtime deals only available on weekdays.
One recommended dish is the Katsu Curry Udon, priced at 930 yen. You can also add a hot spring egg for 100 yen and white rice for 150 yen. The curry is not too spicy but has a nice balance of onion and beef sweetness and umami richness in the broth. The thin udon noodles are stretchy and absorb the curry broth well, making it delicious. The tonkatsu has a thin crispy coating that soaks up the curry broth nicely, making it tender. The combination of curry and tonkatsu is truly delicious!
You can also get a refill of rice, so if you mix the leftover curry with rice, you can quickly enjoy a flavorful curry rice. Ordering the Katsu Curry Udon with white rice is definitely the way to go, as you can savor every last drop of the delicious curry. Even during the busiest lunchtime hours, the staff's service is simple yet warm, and the food is served quickly, delicious, and reasonably priced. This restaurant is particularly popular in the competitive lunch area around Yotsuhashi Station. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

Chicken tempura udon and yakigohan set for 600 yen was ordered. The broth was light, and both the yakigohan and chicken tempura were lightly seasoned. I prefer mild flavors, so I was happy with it. However, it might be a bit lacking for men. The noodles were soft and thin, typical of Kansai style udon. In addition to chicken tempura udon, they also offer kake udon and curry udon, with a wide variety on the menu. The chicken tempura was generously sized and tender, with two pieces included for 600 yen, making it a reasonable option in the area and the place was quite crowded. The hot broth is perfect for when you want to warm up.

☆彡I stopped by an udon restaurant that offers dishes perfect for pairing with alcohol at night. Due to the ban on serving alcohol, the impact is spreading to udon restaurants as well. This time, I wanted to try the exciting curry udon, so I ordered the curry udon with shrimp tempura (930 yen). The menu describes it as spicy, but the curry udon itself is not very spicy. It is topped with a sprinkle of shichimi pepper powder, which adds a stimulating effect, although not too strong. The curry udon here has a moderate thickness and is delicious when served piping hot. The heat enhances the spiciness of the curry broth, making it even more flavorful. The crispy shrimp tempura complements the dish well. The noodles are slightly thin and flat, soft with a weak chewiness, making them suitable for a wide range of age groups. It has a different charm compared to Sanuki udon. Enjoyable for everyone! It suddenly got so cold that I wanted a coat, so I visited in search of warm udon. It was just after opening hours, so there was only one other customer. I ordered the weekday lunch special "Tamago Toji Udon and Kayaku Gohan for 650 yen (tax included)." The udon arrived in about 4 minutes, and it was steaming hot (maybe because of the cold?). It was difficult to take a photo because of the steam, but I managed to snap a picture. I took a sip of the broth and it was delicious. The tamago toji added a gentle richness to the tasty broth. The udon noodles were slightly thin, smooth on the surface, and soft, but not mushy. It reminded me of Nissin Cup Noodles (not the best comparison, but that's how it felt). The kayaku gohan also lived up to its reputation, with various flavors coming through and tasting delicious. The restaurant quickly filled up, and it seemed like the most popular order among nearby office workers was the curry udon. I will definitely revisit on a very cold day. Thank you for the meal.

Located north of the first alley heading west from Exit 4 of Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, this udon restaurant opened in 2017 on the former site of the traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant "Kawasa." The restaurant has a clean and simple design with a white color scheme, featuring a white noren curtain at the entrance. The interior is also simple, with table seating and a counter. The lunch menu offers reasonably priced set meals, including the "Tamago-don and Mini Udon Set" that was ordered. The fluffy and flavorful tamago-don (egg rice bowl) and the finely chopped udon with a bonito flavor were both delicious. This is how a true udon restaurant should be.

In Yotsubashi, Osaka, there is a udon restaurant called "Benten Udon". This place offers great value for money. I ordered the Kashiwa Tempura Udon with Chikuwa and Onsen Tamago toppings, along with a side of mixed rice. The Kashiwa Tempura and fluffy Chikuwa were especially delicious. Cold udon eaten in summer is always great. If you ever find yourself in Yotsubashi, be sure to check this place out!

In a place where there used to be a Japanese restaurant in Shinmachi, a new udon restaurant suddenly appeared. I decided to try it out and entered. I ordered the shrimp tempura and soft-boiled egg on top of udon noodles, along with a side of mixed grain rice set for 800 yen. The food arrived quickly. The noodles were Osaka-style udon, lacking in firmness. It's good that they serve the food quickly. I might come here when I'm short on time. Thank you for the meal.

I remembered the bar lady saying she loves the udon here, so I decided to stop by while in Horie. It's a trendy area with lots of students, so the prices are reasonable. I ordered curry udon and yakigohan. I always end up ordering yakigohan if it's on the menu - is it a man's fate? Plus, you can get one free refill. Both the curry udon and yakigohan were simply delicious. Of course, I had a refill of the yakigohan. The other menu items also looked tasty, so I plan to stop by again. *I have already visited twice on separate days, haha*

Ben Ten Udon is a reliable udon restaurant located a 12-minute walk from Honmachi Station, a 5-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station, and a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Ohashi Station. The restaurant doesn't have any unique or distinctive features, but it offers a consistent and satisfying dining experience. The udon noodles are thin and soft, cooked quickly and served within 2-3 minutes of ordering. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the menu offers a variety of udon and rice sets. The restaurant also serves alcohol and karaage, making it a good place for a casual drink in the evening. The Curry Udon is flavorful and comes with a generous topping of spices, while the Toriten Bukkake Udon is crispy and juicy, with plenty of grated ginger for a refreshing touch. Overall, Ben Ten Udon is a great spot for a satisfying and delicious meal.

Recently, I have been eating more udon than soba. This time, I visited "Benten Udon" located about 3 minutes from Yotsubashi Station in Shinmachi 1-chome. It's been a long time, but over 30 years ago, there was a delicious curry udon restaurant with the same name around here. I wonder if there is an event at the Orix Theater, as I see a lot of young people passing by and some customers who seem to be heading there. I am alone, so I sit at the counter and look at the menu. They have kitsune udon, tamago toji udon, nikudon, tempura udon, curry udon, and more. What caught my eye was the "toriten bukkake udon" for 500 yen, with rice for 650 yen. I couldn't help but exclaim, "That's cheap!" I wonder how they can survive in this office district with these prices. The udon had a glossy texture and a strong chewiness, with two warm and freshly fried toriten pieces. I poured hot broth over it and also had a bowl of rice with toppings. It was a carb overload, and my stomach was full! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The interior of the shop had a calm atmosphere with jazz music playing. The curry udon was very delicious! You could choose between white rice or seasoned rice, and one free refill is available.
