I used this restaurant for a reception and found the atmosphere to be nice, the staff's service to be excellent, and the food to be delicious with good prices. It's a very cost-effective place. If I had to say something negative, it would be that the location is hard to find. It's in the basement of a hotel, so maybe there's an issue with the hotel's signage, but if that is improved, there's nothing to complain about at the moment.

You know, it's Charcoal Tiger. Locals don't need an explanation, right? It's really convenient for business use. This Charcoal Tiger is located in the basement of a hotel just outside Chikushi Gate, making it very easy to invite people from out of town for business trips.

Used twice for banquets. The atmosphere is calm, and the yakitori is large and delicious! There is also all-you-can-drink with non-alcoholic beer, so it might be good for those who are not good with alcohol, or as a chaser. There are also two types each of red and white wine. It would be even better with a few more dishes, but is this good enough? I enjoyed the delicious food and had a great time.

I wasn't very hungry, so I only had a small amount, I'm sorry... The appetizer was very delicious and I was happy. The yakitori skewers are quite substantial. It's definitely a perfect match with beer! They also have set courses if you want to eat a lot, so I would like to visit again!

I love the yakitori restaurant called "Tanshin Hanare" near Hakata Station. I like both sitting at the counter and in private rooms. I really enjoy mixing liver paste with blueberries and eating it with baguette. It's a surprisingly delicious combination. I always end up ordering seconds of the chicken thigh. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I made a reservation for a private room with a dug kotatsu and ordered the Charcoal Tiger Gozen and Mizutaki Gozen for lunch. The Charcoal Tiger Gozen was very delicious, including the yakitori and small dishes. There was a delicious dish similar to satsuma-age, but I forgot to take a photo of it. I'm not a fan of fuki (butterbur sprouts), but the fuki that was included in the small dish here was easy to eat and delicious thanks to the seasoning. The yakitori was also excellent. My friend's Mizutaki looked delicious too. The dessert was fruits, although I forgot to take a photo of it. Since we stayed too long, I ordered a separate pudding for dessert. Even though desserts are not served during lunchtime, they kindly made it for me. We were able to relax in the private room. They were very flexible in accommodating my dietary restrictions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When my child was playing with the decorative stones in the tatami room, they were concerned about the risk of accidental ingestion and promptly moved the decorative jar to a safer place. They also provided extra cushions when my child fell asleep. All the staff were very kind and helpful towards my child. The restroom is located inside the restaurant, and I appreciated the bag hooks inside. When I mentioned that I needed to change my child's diaper, they said I could use the empty room next door. They even escorted us outside when we left. Their service was exceptional from start to finish. I would definitely like to visit again.

HKT. I headed south from Osaka and arrived in Hakata. After dropping off my luggage at the inn, I had lunch at the designated place. "Yakitori Kaiseki Sumi Toranare" had a chic and luxurious interior. The prices were reasonable. So, what did I order? This. "Yakitori Juu" was quite good. It was delicious. The yakitori was great, but I felt like having motsu-yaki! Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation wanting to use a private room for a reception. I requested the "Ginsen Course - 8 dishes including Mitsu-se Chicken hot pot, yakitori, and sashimi with original amber soup" where you can enjoy both yakitori and hot pot. I was expecting good service and taste for this yakitori banquet, but the sashimi was tough with bones still in it, the yakitori was overcooked, and for the hot pot, they brought the ingredients separately and instructed me to add the vegetables after the chicken was cooked, turning it into just a simple chicken pot.

Oriental Hotel Fukuoka, located right by Hakata Station Chikushi Exit (previously known as Hotel Centraza), has a yakitori restaurant that opened in April this year. There are several branches in the city. I made a reservation and was guided to a private room for two people. It's small but you can dine in a calm atmosphere.
I pre-ordered the Beer (702 yen tax included) and the Charcoal Tiger Course (3500 yen tax included). It's nice that they have a variety of appetizers available. The appetizer menu included five dishes: "Butterbur simmered dish," "Chinese jellyfish," "Chicken tenderloin marinated in oil," "Mozuku jelly arrangement," and "Nagaimo wasabi pickles." All of them are perfect for snacking. I particularly liked the butterbur simmered dish.
The salad was average. The chicken tenderloin had a good texture and was delicious. The "pon-yaki" (tail part) was interesting. I'll refrain from giving a detailed explanation. I don't like "sunazuri" (gizzard) in the first place, so I didn't find it tasty.
The "toro" (fatty part) was described on the menu as a "rare part that few restaurants offer." It was juicy and to my liking. The "mitsuse chicken tsukune with raw egg yolk" was also good, with a nice taste of the sauce and added sweetness from the yolk.
For the main dish, we had "momiji salt koji grilled chicken thigh" and "eggplant and pumpkin tempura." Although there were some appetizing items on the main dish menu, we ended up with something not listed on the menu. The taste was average. The "Gotou udon" was disappointing, with a weak dashi flavor.
For dessert, we had a platter of three fruits. I expected a sweet dessert like cake, so this was a bit of a letdown.
The yakitori was delicious, but the rest of the meal left something to be desired. I thought the course menu would be a better deal, but when I calculated the prices of individual dishes, I felt like I could have spent the same amount even with a la carte. The regular staff at the restaurant seemed to provide good service, but the part-time staff seemed inexperienced, as they didn't even provide plates for the yakitori.

This time, near Hakata Station Chikushi Exit. Since there is also a bit of work talk, I prefer a calm restaurant over a noisy one. Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station, which has new stores after renovation, can be seen on the left side after leaving Chikushi Exit. It's really an excellent location. From the front, go down to the basement using the escalator and stairs. There seem to be 8 shops in total! Upon arrival at the store, there is a traditional Japanese-style facade for yakitori and kaiseki. I apologize for not being able to take a photo (*_*; Upon entering, you will immediately see the counter and charcoal grill. The white wooden counter looks nice. We were guided to a private room that was available. As we moved further back, we saw rows of private rooms. We take off our shoes at the entrance of the room. The room is a sunken kotatsu style. Each room is properly partitioned, maintaining privacy. The interior design is also lovely. Let's toast with a draft beer! The appetizers are two types: pickled shallots and assorted simmered vegetables (fried, mushrooms, etc.). We ordered: - Assorted sashimi (1750 yen) - Chicken oyster (280 yen) - Chicken tail (280 yen) - Chicken tenderloin (240 yen) - Chicken liver (200 yen) - Chicken breast (280 yen) - Gizzard (200 yen) - Chicken skin (220 yen) - Truffle cream croquette (1250 yen) - Chicken rice (850 yen) Each skewer may seem expensive, but they are quite substantial. The freshness was good, and everything was delicious. The only thing that felt a bit disappointing was the order of the dishes. Chicken oysters on skewers first, then grated radish (palate cleanser), croquette, sashimi, tenderloin, breast, and so on. We also added chicken rice, gizzard, and skin. The chicken rice came very quickly. Before the bill, we were given complimentary tea and hot towels. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I will try the course menu.

There are semi-private rooms available in the vicinity of Hakata Station. It would be even better if there were order buttons.
