This is my first visit since the relocation and reopening. There used to be a long line, but now it seems to have calmed down. I was able to buy without waiting. I purchased one meat bun and shrimp shumai for now. I thought the meat bun would have more of a distinctive taste since it had been a while since I last had one, but it was actually quite mild, and the skin was not too tough, very delicious. And it's such a great deal at around 250 yen each. The shrimp shumai was also very tasty. Eating it with mustard and chili oil makes it go well with alcohol. I'm completely full now.

A famous meat bun shop in Bihoro-cho, Abashiri-gun, Hokkaido. It has been popular for a long time, and when I went this time, I waited in line for over 30 minutes outside. They carefully wrap the buns after taking the order, so it takes time, but the buns are full of volume and delicious. One bun is enough for one person. Great value for the price.

It was lunchtime on a regular day, but the place was not too crowded. It seemed like they had rebuilt the place for some reason. Inside, they had some pre-made shumai and fried chicken. I bought a pork bun for 240 yen and 6 pieces of fried chicken for 300 yen (excluding tax). The pork bun was piping hot, so I wanted to eat it right away! I devoured it in the car and it was huge! It was like the size of two regular pork buns. The filling was packed in tightly. This is a great deal! It's clear why it's popular. The chicken fried was surprisingly delicious! It was small in size, but the cost performance was satisfying. I wish I had eaten it fresh instead of it being cold. Next time, I'll try the chicken bun.

JR Bihoro Station is just a few minutes by car. It is a popular roadside store along the national highway, so be aware that they close early! I visited on a Saturday morning and there were already several customers in line. I bought one pork bun and one chicken bun, each for 259 yen. At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but when they arrived, I was satisfied. The pork bun was large and filled with juicy meat, and the same goes for the chicken bun. When you bite into them, the flavorful juices spread in your mouth. They are also very filling, so eating two of them will make you full. If you're nearby, I recommend stopping by this shop.

2022.03.20 (Sun) 12:30 First Visit Today, we are on a family trip to Yoroushi Onsen. It has been 4 years since we last visited Yoroushi, but this time we decided to take the north route instead of using the Doto Expressway, as the Hokkaido Expressway is connected from Hifutsu JCT to Wakkanai for free. This route led us to pass through Bihoro Town, where I had always wanted to visit a restaurant called "Tenkoen." Twelve years ago, when I was working in Abashiri, my colleagues always told me that Bihoro Town is a gourmet town, with this restaurant's pork buns being particularly famous. Despite visiting twice in the past, I always gave up due to the long queues. Interestingly, my wife's sister-in-law is from this town, so my wife had been eager to visit this restaurant. This visit was a long-awaited one for her, and a revenge visit for me after ten years. We arrived at 12:30, and despite the pandemic, there was still a long line, quickly extending outside the shop. Our purchases included 4 pork buns (240 yen each), 3 chicken buns (240 yen each), and a pack of 6 shrimp shumai (420 yen), totaling 2,100 yen. We enjoyed the pork buns in the car, and were amazed by their size and delicious taste. They were so big and the filling was packed to the brim, making it impossible for my wife and second son to finish one each. We had planned to eat two each, but even for us, it was too much. The shrimp shumai was also delicious and had a nice texture. We shared it among the four of us. The chicken buns were saved for the next day, and they were also spicy and delightful, with a light and springy texture from the glass noodles. It was a great experience to finally try this dish that had intrigued me for ten years, and it became a wonderful memory shared with my family. I'm sure my wife will report back to her sister-in-law about the size and deliciousness of the buns!

Last time I visited in the evening and they were sold out. This time, I visited an hour after opening for a rematch. There was a long line in front of the shop. I waited for about 40 minutes. I ordered pork buns and chicken buns. They were very large, and most importantly, filled with plenty of filling!! The portions were huge! I was quickly full.

The fried chicken was also voluminous and well seasoned with pepper, making it a good match for beer. When I entered the restaurant, there were no other customers, but after I left, cars kept arriving and people went inside. The frozen pork buns were available by reservation only. I bought a large pork bun and chicken karaage.

During my stay last year, I couldn't visit due to a fire incident. I heard they reopened in a new location this year, so I went right away to get that delicious pork bun! The place is newly built along the national highway from Bihoro to Kitami, with parking space for about 10 cars on-site. This time, I bought pork buns, chicken buns, and fried chicken. They were huge! Despite their size, they were packed with filling and very satisfying to eat. The chicken buns had a slightly spicy kick. I ended up eating everything in the car, but I was so full! By the way, if you make a reservation in advance, you can also buy frozen items. Unfortunately, they don't offer shipping to other areas. In my case, if I ever crave them and start having withdrawal symptoms, I'll ask my friend in Bihoro to send me some frozen items. I'm still staying in Eastern Hokkaido, so I'm thinking of going back while I'm here! I've been eagerly waiting for their comeback! Thank you for the meal, it was delicious.

Unexpectedly, the Shake review became the first review, but it's not my fault because there was nothing else to buy. Despite saying that, some people complained, but I don't care. Did Yome-san care? "Shall we stop by?" Yome-san said. It's a hassle, so I went to Akanko instead. The reason we stopped by Bihoro was to buy something to add to our bento, as we needed more greens. However, someone got Yome-san all fired up. "Hey, satochina-san is asking you to promote the main items in the store. Shall we stop by?" We stopped by, even though it was a hassle. I thought they were closed since they were off the way back, but the sign was bright from afar. They were open, and there was a line. That means they have something, right? "Shall we buy some gyoza? If they have it, I'll also buy pork buns," Yome-san said. We got to the end of the line, and I don't care for pork buns, never had them. When Yome-san came back, she said, "They only had pork buns." I wanted gyoza, not pork buns. I don't care for pork buns. When we got back and saw it, it was huge. I've never seen a bun like that, and it's not something I would eat, so I don't care. Well, it's big. I ate it, and even though I don't like the skin, I've never had it before, so how would I know? It's chewy. It's different from what you find at convenience stores. What kind of meat is this? Is it different from a hamburger? When I ate it, the meat was meaty, not smelly, and it was amazing. And it's only 220 yen. Oh, and about satochina-san, it's all just for fun, so neither I nor Yome-san get worked up about it. Yome-san originally said it wouldn't be fair to just write about Shake, so there you go.

Long time no visit! The other day when I stopped by on Monday, it was a regular holiday! The spicy chicken bun is really delicious and I love it! If you happen to be nearby, be sure to try it! It's so popular that it sells out quickly in the afternoon, so be careful!

I went before the store opened, but there was already a line. I got information from customers in front and behind me about the menu. It seems like if you finish a meal by yourself, you won't be able to eat anything else! I visit Eastern Hokkaido at least once a year, so I will definitely go back.

When I went to GW in the afternoon to buy, there was already a line...! I waited for about 20 minutes and finally got to purchase it. The meat bun was very large, piping hot, and filled with lots of ingredients! Just one of these fills you up completely ( ◜◡◝ ) It's my favorite shop that I always stop by when I go to Bihoro!

Hokkaido Wandering Trip 77 In Bihoro-cho, Abashiri-gun, a bowl-sized pork bun and chicken bun looked interesting so I decided to try them out, but there was a line of 20 people! It would have been better if only one person lined up to buy, but out of curiosity, my whole family lined up, causing the crowd. The store has a limit of 8 people inside at a time. After waiting for 20 minutes, we were able to place our order: - Pork bun ¥240 (excluding tax) - Chicken bun ¥240 - 6 pieces of shrimp shumai ¥420 - Small fried chicken ¥300 The pork bun and chicken bun are very heavy and filled with plenty of ingredients, equivalent to more than 3 regular-sized buns (please see the comparison with chopsticks or rubber bands for size). The taste is quite strong. The shumai and fried chicken also have a similar feel. Despite that, the novelty of their large size is interesting. The chicken bun also contains glass noodles, making it very filling. We bought too much, so we saved some for the next morning. After this, we headed south to Lake Kussharo from Bihoro Pass.

On August 8, 2023 (Tuesday) at 12:30, the purpose of this drive to Eastern Hokkaido was to purchase the pork buns that were previously introduced as one of the new top three pork buns on a TV show featuring Matsuko. We bought three pork buns, shrimp shumai, and fried chicken, and brought them back to my parents' house to eat together! The pork buns were huge and one was enough to make me full!

I have always wanted to try the meat buns (*'▽'*) The shop always has a long line (⊙ө⊙) They are so big and only 240 yen each, which is cheap! I also bought some small fried chicken for 300 yen for 6 pieces, which is also a good deal! I ate the meat buns in the car. If you wait too long, the bottom of the bun becomes soggy from the moisture, so it's best to eat them right after buying. They are so big that they can fill you up as a snack, so I wonder when is the best time to eat them? Maybe cut them up and have them as a beer snack (˃ᴗ˂ *) They remind me of the meat buns from a shop in Kushiro that I used to eat. I think they would taste good with Worcestershire sauce. The fried chicken is made with chicken breast, so it's not very juicy. But it has a slightly spicy and tasty seasoning. I think I'll try the dumplings next time (,,˃ ᵕ ˂,,)
