●Visited on July 27, 2019 (Sat) rainy at 7:03, arrived at 7:19 for a bowl of rice bowl.
●Today, I visited "Market Shokudo Takeda" located at 3-10-16 Inaho, Otaru City, Hokkaido for the first time.
●The restaurant is located about 50m to the left of Otaru Station and is visible from the station.
●Looking at the menu, there were many options for the three-color bowl, making it difficult to decide what to order.
●This time, I ordered the "Three-color bowl ⑰ (crab, salmon, salmon roe) for 2,000 yen" and asked a female staff member to take a photo.
●Upon entering the restaurant, there were table seats on the left and tatami seats on the right, and I sat in the tatami area.
●After waiting in the tatami room, the "Three-color bowl" I ordered arrived 16 minutes later.
●The bowl was generously topped with crab, salmon, and salmon roe.
●It was delicious when eaten with wasabi soy sauce.
●The amount of rice was more than I expected, but I finally managed to finish it.
●The miso soup had a light white miso with two large scallops, which was delicious.
●I am now full. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Visited 16 Ban in Hokkaido on June 30th for a three-color bowl with button shrimp, crab, and scallops, as well as grilled salmon collar around 7:30 pm. The staff, especially a friendly older sister, was very energetic and kind, putting me in a good mood since the morning. Placed my order verbally and received a complimentary squid ink appetizer while waiting. When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see two button shrimp instead of the one shown in the picture – a reverse scam! The bowl was just the right size for breakfast, packed with a generous amount of fresh seafood that was all incredibly delicious. The miso soup even had a whole baby scallop in it. The grilled salmon collar took a bit of time but was well worth the wait, with plenty of fatty goodness and a large portion. After leaving, I noticed the same salmon collar being sold in the shop for 1400 yen for two pieces, making the 800 yen dish a great deal. Despite the slightly long wait for food, the turnover seemed quick as everyone ate quickly and left promptly.

It took some time for the food to be served, but it was worth the wait. The grilled half of Shimahokke was delicious without any fishy smell. I also tried both Shimahokke and Mahokke, and the Shimahokke was excellent! It was thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked.

I visited a seafood bowl restaurant in Sankaku Market in Otaru, which is said to be the most famous place for seafood bowls. When I arrived around 11 o'clock, there were many people lining up. The interior of the restaurant is spacious. The seafood bowls are all delicious with thick slices of seafood. You can also add toppings, so I added salmon roe on mine!

I arrived a little after 2 pm, thinking it would be relatively empty, but it was around the Obon period, so I ended up waiting for about an hour after getting my ticket, and then another 30 minutes after ordering. You have to get your ticket yourself and write down your ticket number and name in a logbook, and they call you out verbally. There were about 20 names written in the logbook, but many customers ended up giving up and leaving the shop, so it was surprisingly smooth in terms of being seated compared to the crowdedness seen in the logbook. Perhaps it's because the shop has a lot of seats. Also, since the area in front of the shop is a market, you can enjoy shopping while waiting. Even for those who are not into seafood, there are shops selling dried goods souvenirs and Hokkaido-style sweets. I ordered a three-bowl set, a sashimi platter, and Otaru beer, which I shared with another woman. I had high expectations from looking at the reviews on Tabelog, but the fish was lukewarm and not very fatty. The smoked dish that came with the bowl and the appetizer were delicious. It's understandable for the bowl to be lukewarm because of the rice, but it was a bit disappointing that the sashimi was also lukewarm.

The food was delicious, but the wait was quite long. It may have been due to the busy Obon season. Even after being seated, it took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The Okamase Donburi had a generous portion, and I couldn't finish it even with additional toppings. The ingredients were fresh, and I left feeling very satisfied.

I visited at 7 am and the restaurant quickly filled up with customers, becoming full within 15 minutes. I had the three-color bowl (uni, ikura, kani) which was very delicious with fresh ingredients. The price of 3,500 yen seemed a bit high to me.

Chirashi bowl with sea urchin for 3,000 yen, with scallop topping for 400 yen. Ordered with less rice to enjoy Hokkaido gourmet. Despite being past 2 PM, there was a line for nearly 1.5 hours. The thick scallops and fresh sea urchin were excellent. Thanks to the abundant salmon roe, no soy sauce was needed for the rice. The price was a bit high due to its location near the station.

I came to Otaru again this year - when it comes to Otaru, it's all about the food at Taketa in the Sankaku Market. I had the salmon kamayaki set and hokke sashimi, which you can't find in Tokyo! The kids ordered the three-color bowl. I had the one salted salmon kamayaki and it was delicious without fail!! Thank you for the meal.

First, the bowl was small but the rice portion was generous. Even an adult male would feel full. The salmon was thick and delicious. The ikura had a delightful popping sensation. This restaurant only offers otoro, with no regular tuna. Be cautious as the price significantly increases when ordering otoro. Comes with miso soup, crab, ikura, and salmon for 2500 yen.

There were various types of rice bowls, but after much deliberation, I chose the Salmon and Uni (sea urchin) rice bowl. The deliciousness of the salmon was expected, but the freshness and deliciousness of the uni were some of the best I've ever had. I would definitely like to visit again when I go to Otaru.

On the last day in Hokkaido, I took on the challenge of a seafood bowl! It was quite crowded, but I managed to get in by visiting at a different time. I ordered a three-meal bowl with salmon roe, sea urchin, and crab for 3,500 yen. The sea urchin from Hokkaido was delicious, although the size was small. But in the end, I was full and satisfied! The miso soup was also delicious!

I drove to Otaru for a change of scenery on my day off. When I arrived in Otaru, it was already past 3 pm, so I thought the lunch rush would be over and decided to go to Takeda-san at the Sankaku Market. My plan didn't work out as the parking lot was crowded, I had to wait for a ticket to enter, and then had to wait a while for my order to be ready inside the restaurant. However, the three-color bowl with salmon, salmon roe, and sea urchin was delicious! My partner had a three-color bowl with salmon, scallops, and sea urchin. Otaru is definitely known for its seafood!

The restaurant opens at 7 am, so I visited right when it opened. Unlike the day before at Takinami Shokudo, there were empty seats here. I was surprised because they are similar types of restaurants. I ordered the three-color bowl with small portions of sea urchin, scallops, and crab for 3300 yen including tax, which felt a bit expensive. The scallops were delicious but only about half the amount compared to Takinami. The sea urchin and crab were decent. I don't think I'll be visiting again, though!

I visited this place while traveling and wanted to try Otaru seafood. The wait was so long that it was impossible to estimate, with about 40 people ahead of me. Some people took a number but didn't show up, so I actually got in after about an hour. During the wait, I strolled around the station area. When the bowl came out, the sweetness of the sea urchin was amazing! I tried two different kinds and it was the best seafood I've ever had!

I visited around 11 o'clock on Wednesday. There were many groups, and I waited for about an hour. I ordered the Uni Tasting Bowl for 5,500 yen. I was also interested in the seafood bowl, but I don't often have the chance to eat a lot of uni, so I took this opportunity. I compared and ate the Bafun, Murasaki, and Hokkaido uni, and thought that eating only uni might be too rich, but I could eat it easily. I didn't have the opportunity to go to Shakotan to eat uni, but I was able to enjoy delicious uni. The Murasaki uni was particularly sweet and delicious. The miso soup with scallops was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Market Cafeteria Taste Takeda
Date: July 3, 2023 (Monday) 13:00 Cloudy 20°
Initial Rating: 3.49
13 groups waiting
The Triangular Market is quite small and narrow. Inside the market, there are multiple shops including Taste Takeda, Takinami Shokudo, and Sankaku-tei (with a notice about appearing on Sekkaku Gourmet by Banana Man), selling fresh seafood such as crab.
Despite the narrow space, the cafeteria was quite crowded and waiting was tough. I filled out a reservation form and received a numbered ticket to wait.
At 13:50, I was seated and ordered the Three-Meal Bowl for 3500 yen, Crab Soup for 500 yen, and a bottle of Chitose Tsuru Namara Super Spicy 15° 300ml for 850 yen.
The food arrived at 14:06. I didn't receive the set to dissect the crab, but a passing female staff member noticed and helped me with it. I didn't realize there was such a thing as a crab dissecting set, as I had only been given a shell holder. The sea urchin had no fishy smell and made me feel the essence of coming to Hokkaido. When I extracted the crab meat and put it in the crab soup, it became a very rich crab flavor.

Since I was in Otaru, I decided to visit Otaru Market. I hesitated to line up at the popular shop "Takeda," but when I heard it was a 30-minute wait, I decided to give it a try! The grilled fish, sashimi, and beer were all satisfying, and I realized there was no need to go all the way to Iwanai. However, the salmon roe was a bit disappointing.

After coming out of Otaru Station and going down the hill on the left, there is a market that is open from the morning. Since I came all the way to Hokkaido, I splurged on the Ezo Bafun Uni Don at Takeda-san. A Uni Don with a rich taste of pure Uni arrived. This rich and delicious flavor is hard to come by! This is the pinnacle of Uni Don in life.

I went to Otaru on a trip to Hokkaido! I was looking for seafood, so I headed to the Sankaku Market near Otaru Station. Crabs, salmon, ikura, sea urchin... Fresh seafood was displayed, making my hunger accelerate. To satisfy my hunger, I went to the market restaurant called Takeda-san! I ordered a parent-child bowl with salmon and ikura, and raw hokke (Okhotsk Atka mackerel) (miso soup apparently comes with the bowl). By the way, the hokke commonly seen in the Kanto region is the shimahokke, while most of the true hokke is consumed in Hokkaido. First, the main dish, the parent-child bowl. Thick, fatty salmon and plump ikura were piled high. The salmon was thick but melted in the mouth, and the ikura burst with flavor and a unique saltiness. Each topping matched perfectly with the vinegared rice, creating the ideal image of a seafood bowl. And the raw hokke had a great texture but was easy to chew! I usually eat hokke grilled, so I'm not sure about the difference from shimahokke, but you can enjoy the unique flavor of hokke while savoring the pleasant fat on the palate. If this was on the menu at a Tokyo izakaya, it would sell out immediately! Lastly, I had scallop miso soup. The scallop broth was rich, and it was a perfect way to finish off the seafood feast. The satisfaction exceeded the limit... There were also other seafood bowls with crustaceans, but this time I mainly enjoyed the parent-child bowl with salmon and ikura! If I have the chance to go to Otaru again, I will try other seafood dishes!

I had work in Otaru, so I took an early train to a seafood bowl restaurant that I had seen on YouTube and was interested in. I indulged in a seafood bowl for breakfast. When I ordered the three-color bowl with sea urchin, salmon, and salmon roe, it came with a scallop miso soup and there was pickled ginger on the table, which lifted my spirits! The prices were higher than I had expected from my research, but it's inevitable in this high cost of living. Following my seafood bowl in Tomakomai, I also had one in Otaru this year, indulging in a luxurious experience. It was delicious.

I ordered grilled salmon collar, uni (sea urchin) as a side dish, and the ANA bowl (with crab, salmon roe, uni, and salmon). The uni was very delicious, perhaps because it's in season. The uni in the bowl was so tasty that I ended up ordering more as a side dish. I usually find uni to have a strong taste that I don't enjoy, but the uni here was really delicious.
