It was so delicious! The beer was ice cold and perfect. Seafood kimchi yaki, yakisoba, negiyaki, okonomiyaki! Is it possible for everything to be delicious? If it was closer, I would want to go every week. I also bought udon as a souvenir. I chose the soy sauce dip, which had garlic in it, and it was amazing. The okonomiyaki was especially delicious! By the way, there were four of us, so they split the yakisoba in half and this was the portion! It was a good amount and very satisfying.

The sauce here is delicious. I've been coming here for over 20 years now haha. I appreciate that they are open on Sundays. I wanted to eat pork yakisoba on this day, so I got the mixed okonomi. I really like the taste of the sauce here. The soba noodles are slightly chewy thick noodles. It's always delicious.

When it comes to eating flour-based dishes in Umeda, I have decided on this place. I have tried various okonomiyaki dishes, but the taste of this okonomiyaki is so satisfying that it goes well with alcohol. There are both counter-only and table seating options, so you can choose depending on your preference.

The seating is at the counter and always bustling. If you have a set plan to go, I recommend making a reservation. The highballs are always on the stronger side, which is appreciated by those who enjoy drinking. For those who are not good with alcohol, be careful! The okonomiyaki is delicious, and the teppanyaki dishes are also great. Personally, I recommend the pork kimchi. The negiyaki is also good. There are many popular okonomiyaki restaurants in Osaka, but this is my favorite. I will definitely go again! Thank you for the meal!

Open until midnight here〜 Two locations in Umeda! The interior has a stylish counter! The menu is simple~ Pork and green onion okonomiyaki, mixed okonomiyaki, pork yakisoba, and draft beer! Ordered a draft beer with okonomiyaki! Just the smell of the okonomiyaki makes you want to keep drinking haha. The okonomiyaki is so delicious! Fluffy and nice with a good amount of cabbage, it's the best! The green onion yakisoba has a savory soy sauce flavor, both are so tasty!! The presence of konnyaku is important, right? It was incredibly delicious! Can't wait to cheat and go back in the middle of the night! Thank you for the meal!

I passed by Hirokazuya and smelled the sauce, so I decided to dine in. I ordered the suji tamago and pork yakisoba. The konjac soy sauce in the suji tamago was spicy. It was neither good nor bad, I would say. Personally, I prefer okonomiyaki that is fluffy rather than flat. Thank you for the meal.

"Hirokazuya" has two locations, one on Higashi Street and one in Doyama, with the Higashi Street location being a popular restaurant selected as one of the top 100 on Tabelog in 2022. I visited on a Saturday night around 10 PM and there were seats available. The interior has only counter seats arranged around a central teppan. We ordered the "Deluxe Modern Yaki" (1780 yen + 200 yen) and "Sujinikomi" (700 yen) to start. The dishes are cooked on the back teppan and then brought to the front teppan when ready. The "Deluxe Modern Yaki" was delicious with plenty of sauce and mayonnaise topped with bonito flakes and seaweed. The noodles were soft and tasty. The portion was slightly smaller than expected. The "Sujinikomi" had a rich flavor that went well with beer, but the portion was a bit small for the price. We also ordered the "Pork Yakisoba with Sujiniku Topping" (980 yen + 250 yen) and "Sujinegiyaki" (1180 yen). The yakisoba can be ordered in sauce or soy sauce flavor, but the yakisoba is only available in sauce flavor. The sauce was not as strong as okonomiyaki sauce, so it was not overwhelming even after finishing. The "Sujinegiyaki" was refreshing with lemon soy sauce. The drink options included "Draft Beer Medium" (550 yen) and "Kaku Highball" (450 yen), which can be made stronger for free. The total bill was around 5000 yen per person. Even after we arrived, more customers kept coming in, showing the popularity of the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, making it understandable why it's so popular. Since they are open late in Umeda, I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

On the last night in Osaka, we wanted to end it with some flour-based dish, so we searched for an okonomiyaki restaurant. After being turned away from a few places due to being closed or too crowded, we finally found this restaurant. The place was packed, but we managed to squeeze in as a party of two. The next customers were actually turned away. While waiting, we had some kimchi to snack on. We toasted with our drinks and waited for our okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki was very fluffy, and although we initially thought one serving might not be enough, it surprisingly filled us up. Other customers were ordering okonomiyaki with yakisoba or negiyaki, and we slightly regretted not doing the same. The seasoning was a bit strong, so we understood a bit more why people in Kansai eat okonomiyaki with rice as a side dish. Overall, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to this place many times, but I always end up coming here after drinking, so I don't remember the taste other than what I ate... This time, I properly enjoyed the flavors. I ordered "buta-tama" and "sujinikomi". The dishes were served on a hot iron plate, so the sujinikomi remained piping hot throughout. Great value for money. The okonomiyaki is fluffy and not heavy, with the bottom gradually becoming crispy as you eat, allowing you to enjoy a change in texture over time. You can tell you've been to Hirokazuya by the distinct smell that sticks to your clothes and hair. When you try to air out your jacket in the bathroom, it ends up smelling like Hirokazuya (^O^).

Familiar bar hopping from early hours at a local bar, but feeling a bit hungry after only having light snacks there. It's already past 1 am, not quite ready for a full meal, but still in the mood for some bites. Luckily, there's a okonomiyaki restaurant nearby that's open until 3 am. Time for a quick stop before heading back to the hotel. Starting off with a refreshing glass of draft beer, perfectly chilled and satisfying. The sizzling hot plate in front of me adds to the experience as I gulp down the beer and order another. I've been drinking for 3 hours at the first bar, but I'm ready for some food now. I decide to go for the simmered beef tendon as my first dish, which is sweet and savory, perfect for pairing with beer. The dish is served with a ladle for the broth, which I enjoy. It's so delicious, I wish I had some white rice to pour the broth over. Next, I order a plate of yakisoba noodles to go with my beer, followed by the must-try pork kimchi. The kimchi adds a kick of spice and tanginess to the tender pork, creating a delightful combination. The atmosphere at the restaurant is lively, with a mix of groups ending their night with a meal and late-night workers stopping by for a bite. I finish off with a serving of pork kimchi and a couple more beers, feeling satisfied and content. The food is flavorful and the experience is enjoyable. I'll definitely be back for the yakisoba and the negiyaki next time. Cheers!

Today, I feel like eating delicious okonomiyaki. I decided to go to a restaurant I've been wanting to try. I used Google Maps to find my way there. After a bit of wandering, I finally arrived. It looked like there were empty seats inside, so I walked in. I started with a glass of draft beer, which was really tasty. I also ordered some kimchi as a side dish, which had a great flavor. And then, the okonomiyaki arrived. I chose the Butatama style, which was fluffy and delicious. I also had some yakisoba, which was also very tasty. Overall, it was a high-quality okonomiyaki. I think I'll definitely come back to this place. Hirokazuya is a great place for okonomiyaki in Umeda. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and wondering what to try next.

This is a deep and atmospheric area with a deep-seated restaurant, but the taste is outstanding! I ordered okonomiyaki and negiyaki, and they are both delicious with a rich dashi flavor! Personally, I really enjoyed the okonomiyaki, but overall, it is a great restaurant with good value for money where you can have a good time and get pleasantly drunk.

The long-established and extremely popular restaurant "Hirokazuya" in Umeda is famous for its okonomiyaki. It is so popular that it is said to be on par with Dontaku. Many people come here to train and strive to become independent. The restaurant is located right in the middle of the love hotel district. The interior is a bit small but clean, and everything you eat here is delicious. Among them, the negiyaki (okonomiyaki with lots of green onions) and pork kimchi are the absolute best. I always end up eating too much... The cost performance is quite good!

Located in the deep area of Doyama, just a 5-minute walk from Umeda Station, is Hirokazuya, a long-established okonomiyaki restaurant with over 25 years of history. They also have a branch on Higashi Street. The okonomiyaki here has a flavorful batter with yam, making it not too heavy and perfect for before or after a night of drinking. The crispy texture of the pork belly is also really good. I also recommend trying their yakisoba and negiyaki!
Visited in May 2022:
On this day, I brought along a guest from Hokkaido and we decided to go on a tour of eating local specialties in Osaka. We started with standing kushikatsu for a light bite, and then headed to Umeda for okonomiyaki at Hirokazuya. It's a classic choice, right? There are only counter seats, but we managed to secure 5 seats and ordered:
- Highball with a side of potato shochu to wet our throats
- Negiyaki x2
- Mixed yakisoba (soy sauce flavor) with extra noodles
- Butatama yaki x2, one with modan (with yakisoba noodles)
The negiyaki was delicious with a strong soy sauce flavor and the aroma of green onions and pork. The mixed yakisoba was refreshing with chewy noodles and plenty of pickled ginger. Of course, the highlight was the okonomiyaki, especially the butatama. One with modan style for a colleague's request. The fluffy texture with yam, the sweetness of cabbage, the crispy pork, and the rich broth in the batter were all perfect. It may be a classic choice, but for okonomiyaki in Umeda, this is the place to go. The atmosphere of Doyama adds to the experience. We left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Visited in November 2021 with a rating of 3.48 on Tabelog (based on 133 reviews). After eating and drinking heartily in Umeda, I thought, why not go to one more place! I visited "Hirokazuya," a popular spot for okonomiyaki and negiyaki. This place has been featured in the media and the branch on Higashi Street has been selected as one of the "Tabelog Top 100 Restaurants." It was a bit late, so there were only a few customers seated at the counter. I started with a draft beer (550 yen) and ordered the following as beer snacks:
- Skirt and green onion okonomiyaki (1,180 yen)
- Skirt stew (700 yen)
The skirt and green onion okonomiyaki had a nice dashi flavor with a refreshing touch of lemon soy sauce. The slightly gooey texture of the batter made it enjoyable to eat. The skirt stew was tender and not too sweet, also on the refreshing side. After eating and drinking a lot today, I decided to call it a night with just these dishes! Thank you for the meal.

I was taken to a popular okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka Umeda by a gourmet friend. The restaurant had only counter seats, and in front of us was a shiny teppan grill. We ordered the Okonomiyaki Mix and Yakisoba. The mix had pork, squid, shrimp, and konjac with a generous amount of ingredients. The yakisoba was packed with cabbage and had a nice texture from the konjac. Everything was delicious and satisfying, served hot.

If you are looking for negiyaki in Umeda, Hirokazuya is the place to go, not Yamamoto. Hirokazuya has two locations, one on Higashi Street. When you think of Hirokazuya, you think of negiyaki! You must try it at least once. Parking is available at nearby parking lots. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Hirokazuya! Tsukune negi-yaki! Buta-tama! Buta kimchi! As always, the tsukune negi-yaki has plenty of green onions, delicious meat, and flavorful broth! It's seriously addictive!! The crispy texture of the buta-tama dough and the richness of the sauce make it a great recommendation for both beer drinkers and non-drinkers alike! Buta kimchi! Absolutely delicious!! Truly impressive! Hirokazuya never disappoints!!!

It has been 11 years since my last visit. I went in the early evening this time. Last time, I had the yakisoba, and this time I wanted to try the okonomiyaki, so I ordered the Deluxe Tamagoyaki Okonomiyaki. It cost 1580 yen (excluding tax). It was a luxurious okonomiyaki with pork, shrimp, squid, octopus, and tendon. The price seemed fair for the quality. The okonomiyaki was on the thinner side, but the texture was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The tendon and octopus added great flavor, and I was glad I went for the deluxe option. This place has always focused on okonomiyaki and yakisoba (udon) dishes, with no teppanyaki options, so I felt a bit lacking in variety. They do offer kimchi and suji stew on the menu as well.
