It seems that the restaurant was renovated on 5.9.13 and the lunch menu was removed, now they only have a grand menu with individual items. I was disappointed because I saw on Tabelog that they had a great deal for okonomiyaki and yakisoba lunch, hoping to try both. However, I ended up choosing the Butatama with a fried egg topping after much deliberation. The cabbage was finely chopped and fluffy with a good thickness! They cook it in the kitchen and bring it to your table. They also warm up the teppan (iron griddle) in advance, so it was piping hot until the end! Even just one piece was quite filling, and I left feeling satisfied with the delicious taste! The menu includes speedy dishes, monjayaki, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, teppanyaki dishes (such as Tonpei-yaki), and drinks. They do not offer modern-yaki.

Today, I had my first experience of eating monjayaki at "Hyakujyu Namba Komejirushi Ten" in Namba. It's one of the few places in Osaka where you can enjoy monjayaki, so there can be a line depending on the time. Since reservations are not accepted, be prepared for a wait. The interior of the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with small tables around the teppan grill where the staff are busy cooking multiple dishes at once. Watching the staff prepare the monjayaki is entertaining, as they skillfully arrange the ingredients in a bowl, pour in the broth, and cook it on the teppan. Once it's ready, you use a small spatula to eat it. It may seem simple, but handling the spatula and knowing when it's done can be a bit tricky at first. The menu has a variety of options, but I recommend trying the "Hyakujyu SP" which includes a fluffy okonomiyaki and thick yakisoba. I enjoyed it so much that I want to come back for more monjayaki.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively and the staff were very polite! I ordered a set of Monja and Okonomiyaki for lunch. The seafood Monja had a really delicious broth, and before I knew it, I had also ordered a beer. I was surprised by the Okonomiyaki, which was tall and had a fluffy pancake-like texture. The sweetness of the cabbage and the sauce went really well together. I definitely want to go back for another lunchtime drink!

After arriving in Osaka and being taken to Momozu in Namba, the first place I visited was here. It was lunchtime and there was a line, but the staff showed consideration even while waiting in the heat, saying "Sorry for the wait." When we entered the restaurant, you could feel the heat from the teppanyaki grill. The three of us enjoyed both monjayaki and okonomiyaki. The staff skillfully and quickly made the monjayaki. It was impressive to see how they made it. We quickly devoured the monjayaki, scooping it up with the spatula. In between, we tried the tonpeiyaki, which had the unique Osaka touch of oil crumbs that added a delicious texture and flavor. In Kanto, tonpeiyaki doesn't have these crumbs, so it was a pleasant surprise. The okonomiyaki was served, and we quickly finished it too. The beginning of our Osaka journey was all about flour dishes! Thank you for the meal.

I always line up at a delicious Monja restaurant. I arrived after 5:30 PM and was able to get in early. Only seats at the counter were available, so we were seated there. I ordered pork okonomiyaki and yakisoba, but was told it would take 30 minutes. They recommended the speed menu, so we also ordered kimchi and simmered beef tendon. We ordered a bottle of beer for two people, but were told we needed to order two since there were two of us. We also ordered another drink and another bottle of beer. It was a bit strange.

I can eat endless Monja forever ✩.*˚ When it gets warmer, it's Monja season for me!! (Also because I can easily wash my clothes at home haha) Monja with fizzy alcohol and rich flavor. It's the best!! Hyakutensan's Monja is consistently delicious, so I've been a repeat customer for a long time. All Monja dishes are tasty, but Monja with mentaiko is especially delicious!! The tonpeiyaki also has a satisfying and fulfilling taste. Okonomiyaki has a nice sweetness from the cabbage, and after eating Monja without feeling bloated, I finish with okonomiyaki to fill up (*´ω`*) haha When I leave the restaurant, the smell of grilled food sticks to my skin, which makes me hesitate to go there again next time haha But I love it so much that I'll go back again and again♪♪ And sorry, I didn't take any pictures of the Monja so I can't show you (;_;)

Whenever I want to eat Okonomiyaki in Osaka, I always come to this restaurant. It's a popular place with long lines every time, but it's worth the wait. They recommended getting a set meal instead of ordering individual items, which was a good tip. The staff is friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered everything at once to avoid long waiting times for additional orders. I left feeling satisfied and full.

I felt like eating Monja-yaki and decided to visit this restaurant with high ratings. Unfortunately, it is not reservation-based, so I arrived around 6:30 pm and waited outside for about an hour before finally getting seated. It's important to consider waiting times, especially on busy days like Fridays and Saturdays. There was a notice saying "We are short-staffed, so it may take some time" which may explain the irregular situation. We ordered two types of Monja-yaki, mentaiko cheese and the classic Momomo, along with a few other side dishes and okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious, making the wait outside worth it. Personally, I liked the okonomiyaki in the photo (Butatama) the most. It was fluffy, flavorful, and had a good portion size. The staff took care of mixing and checking the Monja-yaki for us, providing excellent service. There were no disappointments with the side dishes either. As we were leaving, they thanked us for eating so much, leaving us with a good feeling. If I have the time, I would definitely like to visit again. It's a real shame that reservations are not possible.

Monja is a genre that I am familiar with mainly in the original places of Tokyo such as Tsukishima or Asakusa, recommended by locals. I don't often go to monja restaurants in Kansai, but this time I found a place that satisfied my craving for monja. The menu was diverse and the staff were attentive, making it a fulfilling dining experience. It was the first time I thought about going to a monja restaurant in Kansai. Thank you for the meal!

This is a Monjayaki restaurant located in Namba City. It has been around for a long time, and many people may be familiar with it in places like Nagai and Abiko. In addition to Monjayaki, they also offer Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba that can be cooked on a hot plate. One curious thing about this place is that every time I go, there is always a sign saying they are short-staffed, even though the restaurant is not crowded, which reflects the current difficulty in recruiting employees. Due to this, the turnover is slow and there may be a line, so it might be better to come back another day if that's the case. On this day, I ordered the Monja Set C. It is a set for 2-3 people, including Okonomiyaki, Monjayaki, Yakisoba, and a soft drink for only 2000 yen, which is a very good deal. Everything tasted great and the sauce was light, making it easy to eat. However, be cautious when ordering as the portion size is quite large and may be too much for two people with small appetites. If you want to eat Monjayaki in Osaka and take your time to enjoy it, this place is worth considering.

In Kansai, the popular flour-based dish is definitely okonomiyaki. Personally, I also like monjayaki so I wanted to try it, but it's hard to find in the streets of Osaka. In the midst of this, I decided to visit a popular monjayaki restaurant in Namba. It seems to be one of the few in Kansai, so there was a bit of a wait at the popular restaurant. The monjayaki was delicious, but it was a bit pricey for what you get. Perhaps because of higher competition rates in Tokyo, it feels like prices are lower there.

I went to Hyakujyu-san in Namba Komemirushi, which I don't usually visit. It was a New Year's party on the way back from Toka Ebisu where we exchanged sasa (laughs). It is located in Namba Komemirushi, which is very close to Namba Station, taking less than 5 minutes on foot. As soon as we opened the menu, the speed menu arrived almost simultaneously! Kimchi, simmered beef tendon, and beef tendon pon. The beef tendon was incredibly tender and delicious! Then, after a while, the monja arrived! The staff made it from scratch, so no hassle! We ordered the momoju monja and stamina horumon monja. Normally, I eat okonomiyaki much more frequently than monja, so eating monja was a fresh experience! I personally liked the stamina horumon monja better because it had a punchy flavor (^^) It's also nice that it contains horumon! While eating monja, the grilled salted firefly squid legs and sand liver salt arrived! The sand liver was large, had a good texture, and was delicious! Since the four of us finished two monja quickly, we decided to order more! We added the Baby Star monja and Hyakujyu sobameshi! The Baby Star monja was also made by the staff, so you can eat it without doing anything (^^) The sobameshi was served after being made! But personally, this was a hit (laughs) I don't usually have the opportunity to eat sobameshi unless I come to a teppanyaki restaurant like this, so I was happy to eat a proper sobameshi after a long time and it was delicious! (laughs) These two also disappeared quickly, but all the monja was delicious (^^) It's close to the station, so I think it's okay to go by train, but this time I went by car. Next time, I want to go by train and eat and drink heartily. *I was treated, so the amount is approximate. Please try it out!

I wonder why okonomiyaki hasn't become popular in Osaka! Every time I go, there's always a full house with a waiting line to get in. By chance, I passed by right at opening time after visiting Imamiya Ebisu and was able to be the first one in. It had been over 10 years since my last visit, so I was really excited. We ordered momoju-yaki, horumon monja, and the classic Baby Star! It was my first time trying monja and two of us joined in for a party. The different ways it's cooked - half-cooked, crispy edges, well-done - allow you to enjoy a variety of flavors and that's the beauty of monja. It's healthier than okonomiyaki, goes perfectly with beer, and I really don't understand why it's not more popular in Kansai.

The monjayaki in Tokyo was incredibly delicious and unforgettable. I tried it in Osaka as well, but it was completely different and not as tasty. I found a restaurant here that serves monjayaki too! Looking at the photos, it seems promising. I want to try their yakisoba as well. The seating is a bit tight, but they have partitions. They offer a set for two people for 2400 yen, which includes your choice of monjayaki, yakisoba or okonomiyaki, and a drink, salad, or rice. We ordered the mentaiko monja, mixed yakisoba, tonpei-yaki, cola, and rice set. The tonpei-yaki was delicious with plenty of mayo and sauce. The monjayaki was tasty, but still not as good as the ones in Tokyo. The mixed yakisoba was full of ingredients, including a big piece of octopus. The noodles were delicious, with a unique texture. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The staff even thanked us as we left, making the lunch experience pleasant.

Arrived at the restaurant around 18:45 and there were about 3 groups waiting in line outside. Even though there were empty seats inside, it seemed like they were not seating people due to a lack of staff. I entered around 19:30 and was informed at the time of ordering that it may take some time for the next order due to staff shortage, but I placed my order anyway. Thanks to that, there was no long wait for the food to arrive. The drink service was also fast and everything was great! The monjayaki, which was cooked by the staff, was delicious! The only downside is that you can't make a reservation, but the taste and speed of service are excellent! Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having teppanyaki and it was raining, so I wanted to go back to the station without leaving the building. So I came here. It was early, so I got a seat right away, but by the time I left, there were many people sitting on the chairs outside the store. First, I quenched my thirst with a Ruby, which was delicious. The Speed Menu's beef tendon was also tasty. I don't remember what I ordered, but I think it was two types of monjayaki and yakisoba. The first monjayaki was seafood and mentaiko. It's been a while since I had monjayaki, and it was delicious. Beer goes well with it. Then, after cleaning the teppan, they cooked the yakisoba and served it. I forgot to take a picture, but the chewy noodles were really good. Finally, they cooked hormone and garlic chives, which had a spicy and delicious flavor. All the monjayaki was cooked by the staff, so you can relax. It was a long time since I had it, and it was delicious! Thank you for the meal. I drank a bit too much.

Lately, I feel like I've been eating a lot of monjayaki (Japanese savory pancake) (//∇//) It may not look that great, but it's really delicious, you know~ And the great thing is you can eat quite a lot of it, that's monjayaki for you~ ■Momoju Special: Umeboshi (pickled plum), Baby Star (crispy noodle snack), shiitake mushrooms, octopus, corn, rice cake, pork, cheese. ■Negi Suji Curry Monja: The Momoju Special is packed with ingredients. It has a delicious seafood broth. And it even has Baby Star in it by default ♥ Well, you know, Baby Star is a must-have (//∇//) Surprisingly, the curry monjayaki was a hit!! Curry always increases your appetite, right? I'm getting hooked on it. So today, I'll have some monjayaki and charge up with some alcohol before heading home (•́✧•̀) The staff were friendly and said funny things, so the atmosphere was really nice (・∀・) It was delicious! Thank you very much!
