Along National Route 201 in Tagawa, there is an outlet shop for Matsuo Seika's Tirol Chocolates. I happened to pass by in the morning and decided to stop by. The bagged Tirol Chocolates are priced at 500 yen. They had Strawberry Jelly, Pistachio, and my favorite, Coffee Nougat, on the shelves. I purchased the Coffee Nougat and told a friend who occasionally visits this shop about it. They said Coffee Nougat is rare and they have never come across it before. When I got home and counted, there were 79 Tirol Chocolates in the bag. There might be some margin of error. I'll make sure to stop by again when passing by earlier next time.

2023.05.14 (Saturday) It's been a while since my last visit! I arrived at 10:30, and today they had quite a wide selection of items. Everyone's favorite Chiroru Choco! One bag costs 500 yen, and I ended up buying too many. Please note that it seems they are closed on weekdays for the time being!

Chiroru Choco, a popular chocolate brand in Japan, has a factory in Tagawa that is not well known. This is their outlet shop! Whenever I go to Tagawa, I always make sure to stop by here. In fact, it feels like I extend my trip to Tagawa just to visit this place. They sell bags of B-grade products for 500 yen each, and today there was quite a variety of items available, maybe because it was in the morning. They even have trial products, so it's always exciting to visit, although sometimes they sell out in the afternoon. This time, I got the classic "Coffee Nougat," as well as trial flavors like "Miyata's Young Donuts" and "Kinako" (soybean flour), showing that they are constantly experimenting. There can be lines, so I recommend going early in the morning.

◉Genre: Chocolate ◉Area: Kawami area, Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture ◉Access: A few minutes by car from Oyaboku Station on the Chikuho Electric Railroad ◉Parking: Available ◉Credit card payment: Not available ◉Number of visits: First visit ◉Number of reviews: 1st review On this day, I casually stopped by the "Tirol Chocolate Outlet Shop". ◇Exterior and Interior This outlet of Tirol Chocolate is located in Kawami, Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Matsuo Seika, the company behind Tirol Chocolate, is based in Fukuoka and actually originated in Tagawa. They have a manufacturing factory for Tirol Chocolate, from where they distribute their products nationwide. This shop offers B-grade products and discontinued limited edition items. ◇Seating Takeout only. ◇Menu There were around 10 different flavors available, all in large quantities for just one coin each! The items I ordered were: - Mini Milk Chocolate (500 yen) → Including tax. My wife wanted to visit this place, and even though my daughter was excited, my wife made the purchase without considering my daughter's preference. The taste was as expected, sweet milk chocolate. It truly embodies the essence of Tirol Chocolate. However, the amount you get for just one coin... the power of an outlet store. ◆Strengths Irresistible for those who love Tirol Chocolate! ◆Service Average... or rather, mediocre. ◆Overall It reminded me of the time when I made custom Tirol Chocolates with illustrations for my wife... a nostalgic memory. Thank you for the meal.

I was disappointed that the Coffee Nougat Tirol I wanted to buy was sold out, but other Tirol chocolates are perfect for eating at home! The price is also reasonable at 500 yen. If you have a specific item in mind, make sure to go as soon as the store opens as they tend to sell out quickly.

I relied on my car navigation system to arrive at the outlet shop for Tirol chocolate. Inside the store, there were bags of Tirol chocolate outlet products lined up. They were indeed cheaper than the market price, but I didn't count them, maybe around 40 of the same items? I bought the products with a texture like kinako and mochi. The kinako was just regular chocolate, so I could eat it little by little, but the mochi was challenging. Since the taste didn't change, I couldn't eat a lot at once. When stored in the refrigerator, it gradually hardened, and the mochi texture faded away. Eating dozens of the same items made me lose interest. There was no sense of getting a good deal. Buying regular Tirol chocolates to eat normally is probably the best option. My family also mentioned that it would be nice if they packaged various items in a few bags each for a sense of getting a good deal. It might be useful for events like children's parties?

I was in the mood for a drive and found a place that was easy to get to! However, it was disappointing that they only had kinako series products, like kinako milk, crunchy kinako (with pear), and azuki bean kinako. I wanted to try something different, but they only had kinako milk in a large size for only 500 yen. It was so cheap! If you have a favorite item there, it would be perfect. It might be a good idea to check the stock in advance before going.

Kyushu is amazing. I can't believe it! There is a Tirol chocolate factory here! And there is an outlet too! Thank you so much, planetearth. I was able to come here right after leaving "Sofu Ren." I will purchase Tirol chocolates at the outlet today and head back home. The variety changes depending on the day, so that's something to look forward to.

I visited a small Tirol Choco outlet shop near the Tirol Choco factory along Route 201 in Tagawa City. Due to the current situation, the shop has a limit of up to 6 people inside. Today, the shop was filled with Tirol Choco products with kinako (soybean flour) flavors. One of the outlet exclusive flavors I saw was Kinako Banana Cream (500 yen), which I bought. It offers a unique combination of kinako and banana flavors, which I found interesting. The quantity was quite generous and the price was reasonable. In regular stores, buying 50 pieces would cost around 1,000 yen, and buying 100 pieces (in bulk) would cost around 2,000 yen, which is quite expensive. However, at the outlet shop, getting a bag of this large quantity for around 500 yen is a great deal! I hope they continue offering this in the future.

"Hojicha Strawberry Crunch 500 yen [Energy 20kcal Carbohydrates 3.4g] per piece. Lately, everything seems to be paired with 'hojicha'. Hojicha is subtle, but strawberry crunch is definitely delicious. The acidity is nice."

When you come to Tagawa, be sure to visit the outlet shop of Tirol Choco, a well-known chocolate brand in Japan. It's something to be proud of that the factory of Tirol Choco is located in Tagawa. Now, a single Tirol Choco costs over 20 yen. It's a joy to tell people that there is a shop selling outlet products. It's a sure way to please people with a small local souvenir. There are also limited edition flavors that are not available in Kyushu. Let's be creative so that the chocolate doesn't melt on the way back in the summer.

While crossing over Mt. Yagi on my way towards Tagawa, I happened to come across this shop that was open and not too crowded. They sell various types of Tirol chocolates packaged for 500 yen each. If you're lucky, you might even find packs with seasonal designs, like Halloween-themed ones after Halloween has passed but before Christmas. This time, I bought a pack of mini milk chocolates. Normally, I would finish a 300 yen pack in a day, but with 570 grams in this pack, I'm enjoying it slowly. Eating those Tirol chocolates to my heart's content makes me feel happy. Thank you for the meal! There are also a cake & bread shop and a convenience store on both sides, so it's a nice place to take a break!

In May 2021, I received a box of "Habanero Keema Curry" as a prank from a foodie friend, and inside the box were two small bags. These bags contained "Chiroru Choco Menbei," a product born from a social media project called "#okashitsunagi" carried out by Chiroru Choco Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo, with the intention of "energizing Japan with sweets" during the COVID-19 pandemic. In "#okashitsunagi," they collaborated with popular sweets from around the country to recreate four flavors: Zunda Shake, Tokyo Rusk, Manneken Belgian Waffle, and Menbei using Chiroru Choco. The "Chiroru Choco Menbei" is a collaboration product with "Yamaguchi Aburaya Fukutaro," a popular maker of spicy mentaiko in Hakata, known for their "menbei" snack. It consists of milk chocolate wrapped in menbei-flavored chocolate, combining the perfect amount of spiciness and umami from the mentaiko with the sweetness of milk chocolate. It is recommended to enjoy the unique taste of this snack at room temperature, as chilling it in the fridge may alter the experience. Chiroru Choco Co., Ltd. originally started as "Matsuo Seika" founded in 1903 in Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The company's product planning and sales department was separated, leading to the establishment of the current company in Tokyo in 2004, while the factory remains in Tagawa City, maintaining its connection to Fukuoka with the "Chiroru Choco Menbei." Enjoy your meal! (●^o^●)

I love Menbei! Is this their chocolate? Chiroru Choco is releasing various chocolates one after another, like matcha and strawberry. I've tried various flavors, but this is exciting. They want to bring bright topics to Japan through sweets, and many confectionery manufacturers have agreed, so the circle has expanded. When you put it in your mouth, it's just like regular chocolate, but when you bite into it, you get the crispy texture of Menbei and a spicy kick. It's delicious! Being able to eat chocolate and Menbei at the same time is happiness. I bought it through a group purchase, and when I checked the manufacturing location, it turned out to be from the Chiroru Outlet in Tagawa City. They probably sell Chiroru Choco from the network of 80 confectionery companies. Sounds great!

This is my first time posting, but it's my second time using this service (the first time was 10 years ago). <Purchased Item> ◆ Tirol Chocolate Biscuit Flavor 500 yen ... Contains 570g. (Although it says "including wrapping paper," they are not individually wrapped.) [Ingredients] Sugar, biscuits (including wheat and dairy), whole milk powder, cocoa mass, vegetable oils, cocoa butter/emulsifier (soy-derived), leavening agent, flavor This product, as well as other Tirol chocolates, is a great deal for those who want to eat a lot of them☆

Located along Route 201 connecting Fukuoka City to Iizuka, Tagawa, and Yukuhashi. Although I have passed by many times before, I finally had the opportunity to visit. The shop had a limit of 6 people at a time. I visited early in the morning, but they only had 6 types of chocolates available, and there were no familiar individually wrapped bags of Tirol Chocolates (such as kinako mochi, strawberry, biscuit, nougat, etc.) as shown in everyone's photos. I wanted to distribute them at work... The Coffee Nougat, Milk, 5 Yen Chocolate, Azuki (limited to this shop), and Raspberry were unpackaged, with the only packaged one being Ruby Chocolate. The Raspberry, priced at 500 yen, is not the regular Tirol Chocolate but a slightly more luxurious chocolate. It is large and filled with raspberry sauce infused with liqueur. The Ruby Chocolate, also priced at 500 yen, is not the regular Tirol Chocolate but a slightly more luxurious chocolate. It contained about 40 pieces per bag. According to the shop's sign, it contained 1400 yen worth of chocolates. I think this was a good deal. The pink color is cute. All prices are inclusive of tax. It was a bit disappointing, but I guess it's just luck. I hope to have a chance for redemption someday, but who knows when that will be. Thank you for the meal.

Fukuoka Prefecture Tagawa City Kawamiya 1336-4 National Route 201, Tagawa Nogata Bypass. If you go from the Tagawa direction, you will see Sanribu Tagawa on the left side of the national road, and further ahead on the right side, on the opposite lane. The sign is easy to spot. I saw a sign on my way to Fukuoka and recognized that they sell Tirol chocolates, but I wasn't sure what kind of store it was. After reading reviews on Tabelog, it seemed like an outlet store, so I thought it might be a good idea to get some souvenirs for my coworkers on the way back. There is a Seven-Eleven next door. I tried the Shortcake Tirol Chocolate for 500 yen. It tasted like shortcake, but the taste was a bit strange. It wasn't bad, but the taste was a bit off. The next day when I brought it to work, people asked if I went to Iizuka because it wasn't too far. They were surprised to see a mountain of Tirol chocolates being sold. It would be more interesting if they mixed different tastes in the mountain so you don't get tired of it. There were no samples inside the store, so it was a one-time try. Maybe the Daifuku would have been a better choice. The portion size was good.

I visited a Chiroru Choco outlet where they sell a lot of B-grade Chiroru Choco packed in one bag for 500 yen. It's been a while since I last visited. There were many I wanted, but I carefully selected four types to purchase. As a bonus, for every 1000 yen spent, I received a free fresh mochi kinkan.

I knew there was a factory, but I discovered a sales outlet in Kitakyushu when I returned from Iizuka. There is a limit of 6 people for simultaneous entry due to COVID-19 measures. There were 3 customers ahead of me, so I entered without waiting. They were selling discounted Chiroru chocolate for some reason. I bought a bag of "Fuyu Chiroru" due to the season. It's just regular Chiroru chocolate. I'll probably eat it occasionally with coffee, but there are so many that it doesn't seem like it will run out anytime soon.

I visited with a friend on my day off. I bought a 30-piece set at the convenience store and distributed it to the women at the company, but I couldn't buy it recently due to product turnover. I remembered passing by the outlet the day before and visited (lol). I bought about 5,000 yen worth of classic Milk Nougat (570g), Matcha Mochi (500g), Black Honey Kinako Mochi (570g), Creamy Milk (570g), and Strawberry Milk (570g). The photo is about half of it. I think the women at the company will be pleased. I also want to make sure I don't eat too much and get a nosebleed (lol).
