Visited with friends and we were quite drunk as it was our first time there! It seems like a famous restaurant has relocated to Nakasu⭐ We went shortly after it opened but there was already a line. Waited for about 20 minutes before finally getting in. Feeling bold from the alcohol, I ordered both the seafood and meat rice bowls with all the toppings (abalone, shrimp, sea urchin, salmon roe). Plus, each bowl came with salad and miso soup!! I was really full afterwards but both dishes were delicious!! Next time, I'll visit sober! Thank you for the meal!!

Hello♪ It's Fukuchan! This time, I went to Uokichi, a popular restaurant in Nakasu where there is always a long line for lunch. The seafood is delicious, and the roast beef is a big hit⭐︎ I went all out with the toppings, but it was still reasonably priced and very satisfying⭐︎ It's a popular place, so waiting in line is unavoidable.

The other day I visited for lunch, and today I came back for dinner. Just like the lunch, this is truly a helpful review haha. Today, I ordered the sashimi platter for 500 yen per person, and there was supposed to be a special offer of a free glass of draft beer with a reservation, but it didn't happen. Anyway, I started with a Natsuka Sour for a toast, which is a refreshing citrus-based drink made with lemons from Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture. It was quite enjoyable. The appetizer was deep-fried Wu tofu, which had a chewy texture and was delicious. Since the food was taking a bit long, they offered a complimentary potato salad, which was a classic dish with ham, cucumber, and a good amount of salt. The sashimi platter was supposed to be discounted at 1000 yen, but I got Hiramasu tuna, Ikura salmon roe, Tai sea bream, Katsuo bonito, and Kinmedai golden eye snapper. All of them were fresh, colorful, and delicious. The salt-grilled Tai sea bream from Fukuoka Prefecture cost 1200 yen, and although it took quite a while, the fish was tender and tasty. The highlight was the clay pot rice with mackerel and mentaiko for 2000 yen. Despite waiting almost an hour, it was an incredibly delicious dish that exceeded expectations. The combination of mackerel and mentaiko was perfect! Overall, the food was delicious and worth the wait.

(2023.07.28) I visited the popular restaurant "Uokichi," known for its "Amaebi Don" with about 30 sweet shrimp neatly arranged on top of a bowl, which recently relocated to Nakasu Minami Shinchi. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening time and was lucky enough to secure a seat at the end of the 8-seat counter, as I was the 8th person in line. However, I felt a bit disappointed when the two people behind me were seated at separate 6-seat tatami rooms. The interior of the restaurant seemed to be the same as the previous one, with a fixed layout, but the atmosphere was clearly that of an izakaya, with a display of alcohol in front of the counter. Today marked the start of a 3-day lunch service where the "Seafood Uokichi Don" was offered at half price, so I couldn't resist trying it along with the "Aji Fry." I customized my bowl with white rice, soy sauce, and tamagoyaki. The slices of "Katsuo," "Madai," "Wild Yellowtail," "Spear Squid," and "Tuna" were shiny and had a good bounce to them, making them a great value. The Aji Fry had a thick and juicy flesh, with a crispy breaded coating that hinted at the skillful preparation of the fresh horse mackerel.

Congratulations on the relocation and grand opening of Uokichi in Nakasu, Hakata Ward. I visited Uokichi on July 30th, 2023. This restaurant was previously a popular spot in Daimyo known for its long lines, but it has now moved to this new location and opened on July 27th. It is located along the Kokutai Road, near the Nakasu Minami Shintoshi bus stop. Be careful not to miss the entrance as it is set back a bit. The signature dish here is the Amaebi Donburi, which looks like a work of art in a bowl. There are also various other rice bowl options available, with the option for free extra rice. They also offer set meals like the Horse Mackerel Fry Set and Grilled Fish Set. I decided to order the Goma Kanpachi Donburi with extra rice. The Goma Kanpachi Donburi cost 1000 yen (tax included) and came with a side salad, miso soup, and pickles. The sliced Kanpachi sashimi was beautifully arranged with sesame seeds, seaweed, green onions, and a raw egg yolk in the center. The presentation from the side was also stunning. Now, let's mix the egg yolk and enjoy. It was delicious! The richness of the fatty sashimi combined with the sauce and egg yolk created a satisfying and flavorful meal. The address is 1-3-16 Nakasu, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

In Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward, Nishi Nakasu, there is a new opening of the restaurant Uokichi, which has moved from a prestigious location in Hakata Ichimonji. The restaurant has a small seating area with a few counter seats and one raised table, so it's better to make a reservation before going. Until July 31st, they are offering a lunchtime special where their seafood bowl is half price at 600 yen. During dinner time, they offer a sashimi platter for 500 yen per person, and there is also a one drink service available. Despite concerns about long lines or items being sold out, it seems that the restaurant does not have many customers, possibly due to its high-end appearance. I ordered the Uokichi seafood bowl at the discounted price of 600 yen, which includes a variety of fresh fish, a choice of vinegared rice or white rice, soy sauce or sesame dressing, and a raw egg or a tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette). The meal also comes with salad, miso soup, and pickles. The tuna, bonito, amberjack, and squid were all fresh and delicious, and mixing in the egg made for a tasty twist. Overall, getting all of this for 600 yen was a great deal. I highly recommend trying it if you have the chance.

The shop has just opened recently. Since I came all the way to Hakata, I decided to order some southern fish. The mackerel was really delicious. The sashimi was fresh and all of them were tasty. The service was pleasant, and I enjoyed a delicious meal.

A renowned restaurant has arrived in the fierce battleground of Nakasu. It is rare to find a place in Nakasu that offers such quality at this price. The owner is the type of chef who would definitely have an affair if Ryoko Hirosue were around, but his skills are top-notch.
